I am staying in the area down the street from the Grand Eleven, so I decided to come here to have some drinks with friends. The whole vibe of this restaurant is so beautiful and sxy. The food was good and it came out fast. And what made the experience more amazing was how Nickson made us feel. He was so cool, kind, welcoming, and fun! We had genuine conversations and he just made our visit even more wonderful. Tysm Nickson for being so kind to us! You're so much fun and we love your playlist!

The bartender here was great, busy night but had no one waiting around for drinks and worked quickly. Really friend guy too!! He made a nice strong gin and tonic and we ordered the fries - very fresh and crisp. A great hangout spot to catch up with friends and really sexy interior for a date night as well.

Loved the vibe here a LOT. The bar itself was really nice and I loved the look of the taps, really nice design. It wasnt too busy and we could easily get seats during happy hour. The happy hour prices were standard but I particularly loved the Grimm Weisse beer, it was sooooo good i'm still thinking about it. They had a fire playlist and the music is so much louder in the bathroom so I may have had a dance break in there...

Only stayed for one drink as space was at a premium. The wine and cocktails were excellent, as was the service.

Nice small bar with good drinks and amazing onion rings! Service maybe a bit slow but not a big deal. Would go back for the onion rings!

Didn't feel like it was associated with a hotel!…read more Stopped in after dinner for a quick drink and snack/dessert. Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Actually, I'm so glad we stumbled in because their cute and short food menu is PERFECTION for lovers of small bites -- crab dumplings, caviar deviled eggs, spicy tuna crispy rice, shrimp cocktail, oysters, sardines, etc... Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. Our waitress was fabulous and so friendly, great with timing and checking in!

Great experience. One Big Tip...when you make your reservation (which I would highly recommend)…read moreyou must request either drinks or meal. If you don't you could end up with a rather large dinner platter in your lap. So do the following: 1. Make a reservation 2. The staff were very hospitable and helpful, giving suggestions on what to order and telling us about some of the preparation, like the brine for the fried chicken that incorporates tea for flavour. We had the Caviar Tater Tots ($29), which were tasty and a fun concept, but I thought a little pricey. We shared the fried chicken ($36), which I also thought was high, even for Tribeca. I wish there had been more than two hushpuppies, which I enjoyed. The fried chicken was very juicy and I liked the spices used in the coating. My friend was celebrating her birthday, which I told the manager about on the D.L. He had the waitress bring a big piece of the bread pudding and put a candle in it. My friend was completely surprised and chuffed. The bread pudding was dense, but not heavy and delicious. It reminded us a little of kugel. I appreciated them gifting the dessert: a very thoughtful gesture. I'd like to go back to try a cocktail, the crab dip and the lobster roll (but preferably with someone else picking up the tab).

I picked Chambers for my husband's birthday dinner primarily because of the exceptional wine…read moreprogram, but also because the food is supposed to be really good, too. It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

Chambers is a charming, intimate restaurant with a warm, compact dining room, an ample bar area,…read moreand even two chef's-kitchen bar seats that give the room a little extra theater. Unfortunately, the food never really lived up to the setting. The meal started with the scallops with sweet corn and espelette. They were fine, which ended up being one of the more positive assessments of the night. My father had the Peekytoe crab with peach and brioche, which was also okay. My mother had the Norwich Meadows carrots with yogurt and carrot-top pesto, and that was where the meal started feeling flat. Nothing was technically offensive, but there was very little excitement or depth to the plate. Portions were consistently small, which became harder to ignore as the meal went on. For mains, my father ordered the heritage pork sausage with shrimp, Jimmy Nardello peppers and cilantro. The dish only really came together when you got the sausage and pepper in the same bite, but there was very little of it, and on its own the sausage was not especially compelling. I ordered the Snowdance chicken with spinach, sherry and thyme, which is apparently one of the restaurant's signature dishes. My father and I switched halfway through because he liked the chicken more than I did. I found it surprisingly weak: essentially a pounded chicken preparation that was bland, average and nowhere near what I would expect from a signature entrée at this price. My mother had the housemade bucatini with zucchini, Tarentaise and mint. It was strange rather than satisfying, and none of us particularly liked it. Service was much better than the food. Our server was good, and the secondary service was even better. They did forget one of my father's drinks, but replaced it without issue. I still left 22% because the kitchen's problems were not the server's fault. Dessert finally produced the best dish of the night: the mascarpone with phyllo, cinnamon caramel and lemon pistachios. That was genuinely good. I then figured I would order the cheese because, at minimum, how badly can you mess up cheese? The answer was not badly, exactly, but absurdly. The "cheese and crackers" course was two small pieces of Appalachian cheese for the table. Two pieces. For three people. That pretty much captured the meal. The restaurant has obvious Gramercy Tavern DNA in its restraint, seasonal ingredients and minimalist plating, but this felt like a much less successful version of that philosophy. When this style works, simplicity feels precise and confident. Here, too often, it just felt sparse, underdeveloped and expensive. For three people, with appetizers, entrées, three cocktails, one glass of wine, dessert, cheese and tip, the total came to roughly $472. At that price, "fine" is not enough.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement. Can't really recommend Split Eights over other cocktail bars around.

Our cocktails were delicious, music was on point, service didn't feel rushed at all. I was feeling adventurous and asked for a boozy gin-based cocktail.. loved it! My friend really enjoyed her drink as well. At $19 per cocktail, it's not the cheapest in the area, but also not the priciest either. Would absolutely recommend Split Eights to anyone looking for craft cocktails in the area.
