I'm really glad I checked this restaurant out on the 5th floor of the Renaissance Hotel. Malik was my server and he was very nice. I got there right when it opened at 6 PM. And I got the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer and it rested on a bed of kale salad I think. It was delicious but I have had better bang bang shrimp. Then dinner I got a chicken main course meal and it was very, very good. It was enough to share for two people so I took the leftovers back to the room. For dessert I got the cheesecake with strawberries, and it was good, buy average. I would think anybody that would stop in and have dinner here would be happy with that choice. They have a really big bar to sit at if you have a group of people as well. Everybody here was very kind and nice and you could tell they really enjoyed their job. I would for sure return here and eat dinner if I was back in the city.

I would avoid eating here if you don't have to. The food is very mediocre and extremely overpriced for what you get. You can see the picture of the bang bang shrimp that I ordered to go, and there are about five pieces of shrimp in the box. It cost $16 for that! The shrimp was pretty good, but definitely not worth the price.

I want to compliment the hostess at the front desk of the restaurant. She is always so pleasant and provides outstanding customer service. We sat at the bar until the restaurant opened at 5 pm, the bartender was very nice and made good drinks. We dined on a Saturday. Overall, the service and food was good. However, my hubby's steak was not cooked as he requested. We asked to speak to the manager and a supervisor, I believe her name is Monique came to our table. Monique was excellent and corrected the issue. She went above and beyond to make sure we received the best service. Thank you to her. She was on point in addressing our concerns. The ambiance is beautiful. We sat by the window and enjoyed the view. The food was good. We would definitely return.

At a convention in Renaissance Harborplace hotel. Watertable is the ONLY restaurant in the hotel. Their ONLY dinner offering is their disgusting buffet on Saturday nights. No a la carte available. All I wanted was a salad. I bypassed the cold dry teriyaki drumsticks and wings, the cold seadoned rice, the dry hockey puck falafel (cold as well) and the dyy looking 'street' corn. I did take a slice of grilled chicken, which was almost at room temperature. You'd think a nice restaurant offering a $30 buffet would have a selection of salad ingredients even if food optios were lacking. You would be wrong. The choices were salad greens or Caeser salad greens. Toppings were limited to dry Parmesan shredded cheese and burnt croutons. The Caesar dressing was decent, but probably bottled. Hubby said teriyaki chicken was cold, barely seasoned but covered in cold bacon while the rice was badly seasoned, cold and dry. Vegetable soup tasted like the only seasoning was black pepper. Beer from a can sold by a local brewery, Guilford Hall, was excellent! Cucumber-Rita was fun, but I was looking for cucumbers in the salad! I think they need to contract with Golden Corral If they want to please customers with a buffet

nothing fancy but the ambiance and views were decent. A little overpriced for a shrimp salad but the Old Fashioned was a hit!

I usually don't like to speak bad on businesses, but the customer service here is terrible. The hostess had to take our order bc the waiter (the bar tender) didn't want to do his job. We didn't have a waiter tend to us the whole time. The only safe and grace is that the food was good.

I came back for their Easter Brunch ($40). I thought the breakfast was superior to the lunch. For breakfast, I was able to have the pancakes, pork bacon, chicken and pork sausage, breakfast potatoes, various fruits, an omelet consisting of sausage, jalapenos, cheddar, and onions. On top of the chef making made to order omelets, there were waffles available. There were multiple kinds of pastries as well as oatmeal too. My favorite part of the breakfast was the omelet. For the lunch section, I sampled the salad bar, roasted vegetables, forbidden rice, chicken piccata, and orecchiette in an Alfredo sauce with peas. There was a carving station too that consisted of prime rib and ham. It was okay at best. The best was the ham and chicken piccata. The pasta was plain and the prime rib was cooked way too long. For dessert, I had the lemon bar, cherry tart, and chocolate cake. The desserts as a whole were good. My favorite was the lemon bar.

Great place to grab a quick drink! The bartender was very attentive. I had a delicious drink of champagne, vodka, and lemon.

Solid, but just okay food As it is with most of the inner harbor. Beautiful view and great service - just nothing out of this world.

This was a post dinner bar visit so we mainly had drinks and added a few treats: colossal shrimp cocktail and warm butter cake. The colossal shrimp cocktail contained some of the largest prawns that I've ever had. They were fresh and perfectly prepared but one was enjoy to fill you up. The warm butter cake was sinfully good! Warm, soft, and sweet. The drinks were AMAZING! I ordered the Recurrence Eternal which contained gin, pear, and champagne. There were other ingredients in there but I wanted to spotlight these few. This was the perfect drink which will creep up on you LOL but it was sooooooooooo good. My boyfriend enjoyed his whiskey drink as well. I have never been splashed in the face during the shaking of a drink that was being made by the bartender. The bartender was of a different race and seemed annoyed by my presence from the jump. I had been splashed in the face twice until a customer of his race came and sat next to me. I did pay attention to his behavior while the woman was seated next to me and his drink mixing wasn't as aggressive. I had to go to the bathroom during my visit and told him I would pay before going to the bathroom so he wouldn't make any assumptions about me. I asked him to keep my drink behind the bar because the woman was still seated next to me. I came back and the woman eventually left. I was still finishing my drink and I was splashed 2 additional times. The last time I made him aware of what he was doing. His apology was disingenuous and passive aggressive. I left after this even though I had intentions on ordering desert and listening to the musicians that were about to get started. I did inform the manager about my experience prior to leaving. I'm leaving the review bc the experience still bothers me. If they have cameras at the bar I'm sure my reaction to the splashing can be observed.

The service from the bartenders was not so great or welcoming. When I asked about the espresso martini and asked for it without lavender, the bartender made way too big of a deal. I went an hour early before everyone else was supposed to be there to get on the waitlist, but the wait was until 10 pm!! So I quickly switched gears and called Benny's because I've heard great things about them. The gentlemen who answered the phone was so kind, and was able to squeeze us in on the fly on a Saturday night, and they weren't slow. Got there super early because I was already in the area, and my wife and I decided to have an old fashioned and an espresso martini at the bar while we waited and they were excellent. The ambiance was upscale but still managed to be relaxed and comfortable. We had a lovely dinner, the waiter was busy but was still attentive and patient. Our whole experience was awesome, so we were already going back in the future. Yesterday I realized a mistake on my bank account from the bar charge, so I called around 6 pm and spoke to the same gentlemen as before. He got all my info and promised he'd call back in 5 minutes. I didn't really expect 5 minutes because I know how crazy the dinner rush would be at an Italian restaurant with a Wednesday wine special. Not even 3 minutes later he called back, and explained what happened, fixed it and I got a follow up text immediately letting us know the refund was already in process. Now, I've been in the service industry and I was a bartender, so I understand that I'm going to be a little biased here but from beginning to end Benny's went above and beyond. They clearly appreciate their customers and love their work, it shows.
