Delicious! The crab cakes were fresh and full of flavor. The night before, I went to a popular restaurant known for their crab cakes and my food was tasty. But guess what?! The crab cakes at Bistro 300 were TEN TIMES better due to the presentation and the flavor. I was shocked! And the crab cakes were half the price. Excellent quality. This place was interesting. Came for our free breakfast with our status. But I honestly would not have come here if it wasn't included. You order your food at the front, Tip was included in the bill already. They give you a number and you sit wherever you want. They deliver the food to you when it's ready. I ordered blueberry pancakes, but got chocolate chip pancakes instead. Due to our lack of time, i decided to just stick with it. But I was honestly very surprised, the package texture was really nice and fluffy. I didn't enjoy the chocolate chips as much but if it had been blueberries I think i would have really enjoyed it. The steak omelet was very simple. Not a lot of flavor and needed a lot of Tobasco sauce. But overall, ok. The croissant was really bad... stay away from it. I have tried brunch as well as dinner at Bistro 300. I honestly would have to say Brunch was better. I am not a chicken and waffles lady at all, OMG......it's amazing! There is a sauce on top that give the entree a home run. It maybe too much for some so you might want to request it on the side the first time. The quality of the food is A+. Bottomless mimosas had just the right amount of oj to champagne ratio! The staff were great also and you can tell they enjoy working there and love to inform customers about the how hands on the owner is. My only issue was trying to get in touch with them was inconvenient and a potentially major obstacle for them me. They actually would have lost my business. My reason is because I was with my little ones in the pool and wanted to order the food and pick it up or have it delivered to the room without stopping. I couldn't reach to ask so I would have used a different restaurant if it were available. I decided to bite the bullet and stop by. Now all of this was not problem for the restaurant but the inconvenience of not being able to even ask was just annoying but. Ot a deal breaker. I do feel that restaurants should be available and remove friction for customers to get it touch with them. I was unfortunately alone with the 2 wet littles. The food and service once we arrived was great. The oatmeal was non instant. The pancakes and the breakfast sandwich which I got on a croissant was amazing. Wow! Some of the best hotel food ever. Seriously, I had no problem dining here 3 out of the 4 nights I was here. I had breakfast one morning, pretty good! I didn't enjoy the chicken sausage links but the eggs and hashbrowns were yummy. The coffee was pretty good too! Very strong and had a nutty flavor to it. That was about $20. Not too bad for breakfast. They also offer a buffet for breakfast which I didn't get to try. The dinner was so good! One night I had the crab cake sandwich, which is not on the dinner menu, it was fantastic! The remoulade sauce with it was a perfect addition. The fries, perfect. I also had the macaroni and cheese with my Yelp check in offer. It was verrrry cheesy and tasty, but not the best macaroni. My last night I had the burger. Which is not on the dinner menu, it's on the late night menu. Cooked to perfection and so juicy! I so enjoyed sitting in the bar area while I ate too. Some pretty good people watching too! If you notice, most of what I ordered was not on the menu. The staff went above and beyond every, single, time! Service was impeccable! Really. I also enjoyed the skinny margarita's. Very strong and only $10 bucks. The only negative, one of the bartenders blew her nose several times and did not wash them before returning to make drinks. I mean, I was floored. What a diamond in the rough! Wanted to get a late breakfast and strolled downstairs from my room at the Hyatt Regency to Bistro 300. Yelp offered a free appetizer with the purchase of a regular priced meal, so that was yelptastic! The seating area was modern and the place was empty since it was the midday. I didn't mind that since I wanted some alone time. I ordered the spinach and Brie cheese omelet with fresh fruit and for the free appetizer, I ordered the crab cakes. The omelet was amazingly good. Fluffy and cooked perfectly. When you cut into the omelet, the Brie cheese just oozes out like liquified mana flowing down from the heavens above! Very delicious and the spinach is a nice addition to give you that healthy factor. Lol. The crab cakes stole the show though. The breading was the right amount, not too much and but just enough. Soft, yet firm. When I cut into it, huge pieces of real crab meat were displayed and it was like a little kid breaking a piñata and seeing the candy spill out. The crab was seasoned well and just tasted good. It was accompanied with guacamole and it was a nice pairing. Definitely complimented the crab cakes. These crab cakes were very delicious and the next time I'm in Baltimore, I'm gonna visit Bistro 33 for their crab cakes. I hope they don't change the recipe. This paragraph represents my update: Just returned from overseas and we stayed at the Hyatt Inner Harbor again. Chris at the front desk is amazing and made are brief stay memorable. His service, and awesome attitude was best! Hit up Bistro 300 bar on the third floor for some drinks and grub. Had the New York cooked medium with broccolini and the steak was cooked perfectly. The broccolini was crisp but not a soft or soggy and the meal was a huge hit. The crab cakes were full of chunks of crab. Not overbreaded, not overpowered by Old Bay or other strong spices. The scallops were delicious, done perfectly, not overcooked or tough. Warm, fresh, cheese bread comes with the meal. The next morning we expected the usual bland hotel breakfast, but we were VERY pleasantly surprised. The crab omelet was delicious. Located in the Hyatt Regency, this is modern, open space concept restaurant. Spacious seating and a decent size bar. I visited here for lunch. They offer buffet or menu item for lunch. I went with the $15 buffet. It was basic a salad and psta bar. It was pretty decent but some times, you just need to have a piece of meat for protein, which this buffet did not have. The menu was limited on vegetarian food but I happily ordered the veggie burger with fries and ordered an Arnold Palmer to drink. The drink came out quickly but it took some time to get the food. It was okay because I had plenty of time and it was delicious when I finally got it. The service was also excellent as the server kept checking on me to make sure I was okay and my drink filled. I'm usually not a huge fan of hotel restaurants, but you can't beat an ambiance of an indoor water fountain right next to your seating area. I'm a fan of the unique interior design, which reminded me of the indoor Venetian canals in Vegas, only classier. Ambiance aside, I thought the food was satisfying but not particularly mind-blowing. We got the crabcakes, calamari, and crab salad, and the dinner also came with complimentary bread. The portions seemed small for the price, and in my opinion there is better crab around town. Overall, nothing special, but not a bad choice if you're in the area. They are also open late too; this is probably the classiest place for late night noms. read more

I usually don't like hotel restaurants, but I had lunch here today and it was better than what I expected. The interior decor is very beautiful, with some water features and some cool wooden artwork throughout the restaurant. It gave it a calm feel. I tried the chicken avocado sandwich with a side salad. It was cold but it was quite good and very light. I liked the multigrain toast and the honey mustard dressing. Even the apple chutney which had me hesitant at first, was actually sort of working well with the combination. I just wish it had more fresh avocados inside. Pretty darn good for an in hotel restaurant. Prices were fair, and we had a free appetizer for checking in. The food was really good and the service at this restaurant (and in the hotel in general) was fantastic. Given that there isn't a lot in the way of affordable eateries in walking distance, it's nice that there's decent food in the hotel. Breakfast was great, but it was lunch I enjoyed the most. Went here for restaurant week. Much of the hotel was under construction for renovations, which kinda tuned the atmosphere. They weren't even playing music or anything. Food was solid. Very rich. The crab Mac and cheese was too liquidy. The flat bread is delicious. Not really an appetizer. It's pretty big. That was probably the best thing I ate. The strawberry rhubarb pie was also very good. When we got here, there was no buffet on a Monday morning, restaurant is not full. The server doesn't seat us for 10 mins. After we're seated, no one asks us what we want for another 10. I ask for a latte, he says curtly "it'll be a while". Comes with a cold, no froth latte. No sugar. So I ask for sugar. Never got me sugar. It's been 45 mins and my coffee is consumed. Someone comes in 20 mins later asking what I wanted to eat, I asked for toast and guess what? Dry semi-cold toast with 2 options for jelly show up. No water was served the entire time. I had to ask for water, it showed up at the 30 min mark. They didn't give water to the others on my table. They didn't give sugar for the regular coffee to the others on my table either. It is a MONDAY morning. We are all dressed in business attire and getting late for meetings. The hotel (Hyatt Regency) is aware that they are one of the conference meetings so they knew that everyone was on a timeline. Did they care to train their staff to handle breakfast hour? Not the 7:30 peak hour but the 8-8:30 semi-empty hour? Heck no. In the end I was visibly upset to have been delayed for the lack of my check. They charged everyone in my table but me. Please don't go to eat here until they have their business organized and respectful. read more

Bistro 300 in the Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor in Baltimore...June 2016...3 stars...we liked this place during our stay. They are essentially open most of the day...they setup for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the bar stays open for much longer hours for late night schmoozing. We tried them for breakfast and schmoozing. Breakfast was pretty nice, especially when you remember the restaurant is in a convention hotel and can get busy at times. For breakfast you could order off the menu or partake of the very nice breakfast buffet. Both served all the usual stuff so you don't get any surprises - either good or bad. While the buffet is relatively expensive, it offers anything you might want with no wait...and it is replenished often. Unless you are really not too hungry, the buffet is the way to go. When we went schmoozing in the Bistro after a night out on the town the bar was a little slow, but the variety of seating and the space made for a nice opportunity to relax. Even if you are not staying in the Hyatt a visit to the Bistro at night can be a thing. Since a convention was in town (neuropathologists) the Bistro was a raucous meeting place that evening...it was fun. Three stars now for the operation but a fourth star would be easily attained if the bar had more help. Give this place a try. Going out for breakfast from the hotel generally entails somewhat of a walk because you are downtown, so the Bistro fills a neat niche. read more

To be perfectly honest, I'm usually not overly impressed by hotel dining venues, but Bistro 300 is an exception. I went to lunch here with a colleague and we both enjoyed ourselves. I can't speak to the dinner service, but as for lunch the menu is not at all extensive, but has enough options as long as you're interested in an entrée salad or sandwich of some kind. The portion sizes were generous and I enjoyed my crab cake sandwich. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, but it was the middle of the week and nothing much seemed to be going on in the hotel/area. However, the server was fairly attentive and the atmosphere was nice. Still the food was good, even if it wasn't especially inventive, and some of the prices are a little steep--most of the salads are almost 20 dollars, for example. Other than that, Bistro 300 is classy but casual enough for a quick lunch and I'd certainly return. read more

Had the breakfast burrito and it was not to shabby. The chorizo they used had a really great flavor and complimented the burrito very well. Normally in the summer, weekends, and high peak times they have a breakfast buffet option. I was very pleased from my past visits when I had the buffet. They have a wide variety of items ranging from fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, and sausage. The food here is a little pricy.
