This by far the worst store on the planet. Horrible service, cramped and dangerous isles and always poorly stocked. Where do they find their help? D.m.v.? I would much rather pay higher prices than submit myself to this store. K mart is a dream next to this and they suck as well. When will placerville get a decent store? Save your time and money and drive to Folsom to shop, we don't need this type od store thinking they can sell us this tripe because they're the only game in town. The key to successfully shopping here is to go there at 6AM and no later. If you go here at 7AM, you'll have a sucky experience, so if your alarm goes off late, don't even bother, wait for the next day. See, most tweekers and street urchins of society are still in bed at this time of day. Theses are the people that really clog the place up, trying to pay with post-dated 3rd party checks, etc. If you go there at any other hour of the day, you're almost guaranteed a screwin', be it by a rude and/or clueless employee, or more notably by their reputation for having 57 checkout lanes and only 1 to 3 (if you're lucky) of them open. There's one good employee there, she has short blond hair, kind of butch looking, but super nice, and super fast at the checkout lane. I know I'm going to be through the line quickly when she's checking. Today was my last excursion into our local Walmart. On a Saturday afternoon at about 12:30, there were FOUR registers open!!! Approximately 150 people on FOUR checkout lines!!!!!! And there were probably 10 Walmart employees just walking around... Including a manager. Why have so many registers if you aren't going to open them when needed????? KMart is looking better all the time. read more

It's Walmart so I don't expect Nordstrom and I am comparing to other similar store including other Walmarts. This store continues go downhill. Shelves aren't stocked, cashiers are incompetent, you have to get your receipt checked in detail before you leave. Customers are treated like cattle. I do not experience this at any other Walmart. I live in this community and options are limited, but regardless I will not be going back to this store. read more

Typical Walmart. Easy enter/exit from main highway and very close to the freeway. Grocery section a little on small side compared to most other Walmarts of same size. Love that the parking lot rows have signs so that you can't lose your vehicle. That made me laugh. But really, it is a Walmart, people. I don't understand the negative reviews, you really do get what you pay for. read more

You cannot find better prices on most items, especially toilet paper & paper towels. All of the complaints about lines amuse me, as most of these people would think nothing of standing in a long line at a Costco. Not everyone can afford to shop top of the line & we are fortunate to have this option without driving down the hill. This store is not perfect, no store is. read more

This is the worried pharmacy I have ever gone too. For 9 months they didn't put thru my prescriptions through my insurance. When this error was brought to their attention by my insurance company, they seemed put out to correct the problem. Over 9 months to had paid hundreds of dollars over what I should have. I could have understood an error in the system, but NOT one time did they offer an apology the morning I went in to collect the money that was over charged. Not one person in the department came and said they were sorry for the error, including the pharmacy manager. read more

I wish there was a rating of zero for this place! I will go out of my way just to go to K-mart even if I have to pay a little extra at times. I attempted to register for my baby shower and was directed from Customer Services up front to go to Electronics in the back. I thought that was odd and what do you know, I get back there and Electronics has no idea what to do! So all the waiting in line was for nothing, you have to register online. Then I brought in pictures I had taken at Sears. I had purchased copyrights to my photo cd and brought it into Walmart to get cheap pictures printed. I went back 3 hours later to find out they would not give me the pictures that were printed because of copyright issues. I showed them the CD with the case that said ALL COPYRIGHTS RELEASED right on it. I ended up leaving and told the lady to throw the pictures away because I was so furious and upset. Not 10 minutes later she calls my home phone and leaves me a message about them! None of their employees are EVER able to answer your questions or even seem willing to help. I wish this place would go out of business and they would put in a Target or something similar. At least they are all about customer service! read more

I have been to Walmarts all over California and in Oregon and this is my favorite Walmart of all. If I have any returns they are nice. The store is the cleanest that I have seen and the people are small town friendly. read more

Dated 04-21-2013. Went in for a oil change , sun afternoon I was waiting to sign in car. I was hearing something like a loud retard in the cargo bay , to the point I wanted to go over and pretend myself to be a retard and pick a fight, I thought how awful if a mentally handicapped person over heard this jerk. After they called me to pick up car , the work order stated, everything checked out GOOD , and windshield washed and car vacuumed , well that was not done at all , and I know I have a headlight out , a tail light out , as well as the light above the license plate . WOW ,I. Guess they thought I was the retard , this really happened , very disappointed ., only good point was the refund they gave back . read more

I am not a fan of Walmart in general, it is usually crowded & I get frustrated by not finding what I need. With that being said, this was THE BEST shopping experience I have had at Walmart! I needed two new tires, and went shopping around yesterday, with the plan of not even looking at Walmart. Les Schwab had a two hour wait, possibly longer; Big O' gave me a quote of $320 for my two tires, and another small business gave me close to $300 again. So, I called Walmart and talked to Pamela ( The Department Manager). Pamela went above and beyond for me. I told her what tires I needed, and she quoted me for one set of tires, then got my information and said she would look around a little more for a better deal. She called me back about ten minutes later, with tires at a lower price and better manufacturing warranty. She even saved them for me since it would be about an hour until I made it in at that point. We went in, she was incredibly friendly we got all checked in and were out of there no more than 45 minutes later. Pamela was wonderful, and has changed my mind about the Walmart Tire center! And I paid $100 less here for tires that are almost identical to the ones from Big O'! Thank you Pamela and the nice gentleman who changed my tires! read more

Don't purchase one of Walmart's money cards, its a joke. It's your money and when you try to activate card, you spend about 10 minutes answering questions that sometimes don't apply to you directly. If you don't know the right answer due to the question does not apply to you personally, they will deny you a permit card. I say they should ask questions about you not someone that you have not seen or herd from in over 10 years. How are you suppose to know what year your ex mother in-law was born when you have not seen or spoke to her in 10 years. I say bull. If you want a good prepaid card go to the check cashing places did some research don't ask questions you don't know then deny you when it is your money. They get information that is your personal information not others. I still get to use my temporary to finish up balance I have left, but they charged $3.00 fee which was money in there pocket, and my loss. read more
