Super annoying if you want just about anything in the store at some point, you're gonna have to be waiting on one of the employees to figure out if they can make their phone unlock the case or not absolutely ridiculous. Underwear is locked up propane's locked up markers locked up just about anything you can think of is locked up. I don't know what is happening to this world but if we can't even trust people to buy their own goods in the store, there's a bigger problem here. read more

The only thing about this store that gets a 4 star review is for Gilbert he is a 5+ star employee. The rest of this Walmart is a 1 or even a minus in my opinion. Gilbert is always at the front with a smile on his face to greet us! My friend & I shop here every Weds. he helps me pick the best motorized cart and helps me to the car rain or shine when needed. He is always willing to do anything to make our experience a better one. Cons-The older lady at the last check stand w the lower handicapped counter is very grouchy and rarely smiles or is never friendly. She throws the stuff in the bags, if they have any bags, not caring what goes where. She puts the bread at the bottom, and the chemicals in the same bags as the food & could care less what happens to your food. And the lady's at the exit door that mark the receipts are just the same. If it wasn't for Gilbert I wouldn't even shop this store! He is so kind to my friend, that is in a wheelchair! read more

Do not let these people touch your car. I was extremely busy one week and needed an oil change so I swung by and had them do it for me. How hard can it be right? Not only did they put the wrong oil in that I purchased separately, they put the oil filter in so tight that it cannot be removed. (Not the oil filter I supplied them either) I save myself an hour by going here and ended up costing thousands of dollars to get my front clip pulled just to replace the stripped out oil filter. Absolute clowns. If they had any knowledge of automotive whatsoever they'd work at a real shop. read more

The Placerville store is the worst Walmart I have ever had the misfortune of shopping in as far as manager customer service goes. While the employees will try to help, if a manager happens to be needed, they will not respond when they are repeatedly paged overhead. The customer service at our local Walmart went above and beyond my expectations. Today, while using the self checkout at our local Walmart, I realized that I had forgotten my wallet and was .50 cents short on my transaction, instead of making me run out to my car, in the rain, and pray I had change left laying around, Dominique quickly took the money out of her own pocket and covered the cost. Been going here for over 30 years. I go a few times a year to get that rare item that isn't carried in another store or is cheaper here than anywhere else. Otherwise I stay away. The parking lot feels like survival of the fittest or like you signed up for a show of survivor. If you want to see homeless panhandling then this place is for you. This store used to feel like redneck nostalgia in the 90s. Now it's that but with way too much ghetto added in the mix. This location could do very well in the food dept. always out of milk, butter, cottage cheese . Instructing employees to invade your customer's privacy with out warning is just wrong. At self check out, moving to fast now sets off an alarm for security check. So I guess this treatment was punishment for being considered of the large line. To walk up and start rifling my items with out an attempt to at least explain your actions isn't a smart decision. very disappointed with Walmart - on 2 occasions (delivery and customer pickup). Walmart did not deliver my purchases!! First one was a customer pickup of a 65" TCL TV Roku. I was told i had at least 48 hours before the product would be returned to stock - but Walmart returned my product in less than 24 hours. I mostly have good luck here, but I usually use delivery or shipping. Their shipping is faster than Amazon. The delivery people are great, today I had Bogdan, he finds everything I order if it is in stock or he finds the right substitution and carries the bags to my door, which I appreciate since I'm not a kid anymore. This is not to say the other delivery people are not great, they all have been kind and friendly. The tech help online is hit or miss, I asked the online chat person if I added the tip during checkout, and why is it asking me to review and tip after the delivery but they took so long to answer, they just kept sending messages like "thank you for shopping with us, I need more time to respond", I just gave up. It would be nice if when you order at home, they might give you a paper receipt/list of things they got or didn't have. Safeway used to do that, not sure if they still do but it makes it much easier than having to get out my laptop and see what was substituted or unavailable and what my actual total was. You should know that when you shop online for grocery delivery there's zero fresh produce, no basket of berries, or even salad in a bag which makes it hard when you're trying to eat healthily and not only eat frozen or boxed/canned food. .. I hope they consider maybe using some of that garden area of the store where no one usually is shopping to have some fresh food because although it is nice to be able to get what is considered 'dry goods' at a good price delivered, the lack of produce or even non-frozen hamburger or chicken makes it so I have to shop elsewhere as well. The few times I do go to the store, I can usually find what I want myself, but the fact that a lot of things are locked up makes me not want to go back, because I then have to chase down an associate to unlock everything, some of them make me buy it at the area where the stuff is locked up, some let me put whatever in my cart and go to the main register or self-check. I get they don't want to be ripped off, even though I think people have just switched to stealing other things because I see empty containers and boxes when I have gone in person. So I try to order those things online but it's hard sometimes to get an accurate idea of colors etc., on a laptop. read more

They can definitely improve on their customer service and the returns department. We walked in the door at 6:03 PM. The lady looked at my husband and what he was carrying, and she huffed and rolled her eyes. I looked at her and said, "are you closed?" And she said, "yes, we close at six." I said, "OK thank you." And my husband asked if they could take the return since it was so close to 6 PM and they told him no that they had already turned two other people away and that he could go to Folsom if he wanted to return it. I can't believe we were greeted with eye rolls and I can't believe they close their customer service department for returns an hour after most everyone gets off work. The aisels in this store are already narrow enough but of course there are workers who insist on blocking the little room there is to shop. The product selection at this store is pathetic. The checkout lines were very long - even the self-checkout. I had a half full shopping cart that I left in the aisle and walked out the door. I have been going to the store since they opened I am a local customer and typically don't leave reviews. however in my recent trip to Walmart I saw a car seat that was on sale for $20 so I looked around for the item and could not find it so I went to get help from Electronics because that was the only employee I could find they however called on the intercom for someone to help me out after waiting for 10 to 15 minutes I went and found a different associate that did the same thing over the intercom I waited and waited until I eventually found a third associate that did the same thing nobody could help me out and I continued to wait till I finally gave up only to stumble across another clearance item it was this air fryer that was on sale same story nobody could help me I tried to call manager this time and nobody showed up I swear to you I was there for 2 hours waiting I'm not one to make up time to I was motivated to get these items but unfortunately customer service sucks that the store and any normal associate just refers you to someone else or call over the intercom for someone else.... so I eventually went online while I was waiting and apparently the clearance items don't apply to items that are the same thing online and my first thought they price match maybe they could do that but no there is no feature on the website for that with big regrets I eventually just left and decided to leave this review because if it's happened to me it's happened to more than one person Walmart needs to improve their employees knowledge and versatility to help customers because we are the number one thing that keeps them running read more

Wow Walmart this was such a horrible experience for me and my mom two nights ago we went into Walmart around 9pm and saw that there where products listed for $10 but weren't available until Black Friday so we got up this morning and where the first ones in line I was so so happy to know I was about to get what I came for when we walked into the store there they where the $10 items! Listed clear as day for $10!!!!! I stocked up with a total of 6 of them I didn't realize till after we left the parking lot that I spent a lot more then what I should have, I checked my receipt and saw that I was charged $25 for each item ! So I went back to double check the price and what do you know they changed the price to $25! They said someone priced them wrong and that they can only honor 1 of them what is that crap, worst Black Friday experience ever Walmart do better next time you should honor the prices you have out on top of that Management was rude and wanted to give a refund with a gift card after I payed cash WTH ?! Then the manager was speaking out loud to her coworkers saying that me and my mom didn't realize that it was $25 first of all it's said $10 to start with. That was your guys's bad. If you're looking for some good people-watching, this Walmart is top-notch! For anything else, such as: customer service, speed, quantity, quality, and overall satisfaction... run. They do not answer the phones, and it feels as if it is a ghost town when it comes to available employees. Most of the time there are only 2 registers open, and self-checkout is the other option. You can tell the employees aren't happy being there, which makes it unpleasant for everyone else. read more

Do not come here for propane. They have you purchase the tank refill inside and then tell you to wait outside for an employee to meet you for the exchange. They mention "it may take a while because the person who's helping you could be anywhere in the store." What they don't mention is that "a while" is defined as up to 30 minutes. The employee who did finally arrive apologized profusely for "staff shortages - they don't employee enough people." All fair, so then it's on Walmart to reconsider whether it should be selling propane. read more

Wrong, went in and saw microwaves in the middle of the aisles, so obviously a highlighted area, listed for $7 only to be told that was wrong and "someone" must have taken the other number. Was told this by several floor employees many of whom weren't in uniform, obviously hanging out with their friend, and didn't seem the slightest bit interested in helping a customer or making things right for the false advertisement. read more

If you have to shop at Walmart order off the app so they bring it out to you or ship it you. The customer service department is always closed. Been trying to return an item for three days, as well as get a refund for something I was double-charged for. Customer service area was closed at 6 pm on Saturday and again at 5 pm on Sunday. The regular register cashier would not take my return. It is 4 pm Monday and it is closed again. Tried calling before driving all the way here. No one answers the phone to tell you what the hours of the customer service department is. Drove here a third time waiting at register. Hope to get my money back. Won't be shopping here again for sure. read more
