Rude, slow, not proactive, don't answer the phones and when they do they hang up on you. Took over 4 months to try and get a prescription resolved (they said they sent to doc and doc said they sent it to them). Finally had to go through oxygen company to get it fixed. read more

The actual "pharmacists" are nice and professional. The literally rude and stupid people they have running the register back there is flat out offensive. The lady called me stupid and she was smashing the little pay machine to show me how it was broken. Wonder why it broke..... After the continued decline of safeway in the last few years, the huge mark up in prices, "I mean more than whole foods now", I have decided to move my prescriptions and not shop there again. It is too bad what has happened to this store over the years. With the new owners, it is like they are just making it into slum store. Safeway used to be my favorite place to shop. I will not go back there to be insulted by somebody. I will not spend any money there. read more

This pharmacy in Safeway on Missouri Flat in Placerville has never let us down. Friendly, interested, attentive staff.

My prescriptions were transferred to Safeway from a different closing pharmacy. I signed up on their app, to be able to manage my prescriptions. I have been picking them up at Safeway for months. The app shows no history. I have tried multiple times to get someone to fix this. I keep getting wrong answers or a "I don't know" without any offer to further help. The chat reps don't pay attention and ask the same question over and over and in the end still can't help. The obviously took on the extra business out of greed, without being able to support the additional business or train their employees. I am transferring mine to a different pharmacy where they can provide assistance. I would never select them as your pharmacy! read more

I have been a long time customer of the Safeway Pharmacy located on Missouri Flat Road in Placerville. Through the years I have patronized three other pharmacies in Placerville and by far, I have found the Safeway facility and staff to be the best. The staff is very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They always greet customers with a smile and make the person feel welcome and appreciated. When submitting requests for refills, I have always found the staff to complete the orders and to have the prescriptions available for pickup in a timely manner. I would like to express my appreciation to the staff for the wonderful and much appreciated positive service they have always provided to my family and myself. The best pharmacy in town! The pharmacists are very knowledgeable and friendly and the staff are super nice! They are a busy pharmacy but they do their best to help you. I got my vaccines from them and the service is fast and very convenient. They also offer travel vaccines and provide specialty medication services. read more

I switched to Safeway pharmacy on Missouri Flat Road in Placerville because I was unhappy with the lack of professionalism and care from another nearby pharmacy. But today I had a dispassionate Safeway pharmacy counter technician tell me that my diabetes medicine was declined by insurance and I was not able to pick it up. I asked why they had not tried to reach out to me when I called in the prescription several days ago?? Now I am out of the medicine, and it is the weekend. The technician didn't even look at me, she just stared blankly at her computer screen. Apparently they have been trained to respond to questions with silence? What harm would it have done for her (or the pharmacist) to say simply, "I am so sorry for your trouble. Yes we should have called you and notified you, so you could look into this sooner." This is the kind of lack of professionalism that I ran into with the previous pharmacy...maybe they are all like this? What happened to kind customer service? read more

If want anything done in a reasonable time frame by folks who will actually PICK UP THE PHONE AND SOLVE A PROBLEM - go elsewhere. Even the head pharmacist is a lazy bum, she can't even bill basic claims - or so they claim. Incompetence and horrible service. read more
