Zero stars!!! WITH an appointment I waited 1.5 hours to get a COVID booster and a flu shot. I ended up leaving with 2 ahead of me to get on an important zoom call. I should be able to send them a bill for wasting my time. There were more people waiting in the pharmacy than the number of customers in the rest of the store. There were 3 employees behind the counter. None seemed to be in a hurry and none seemed to know what they were doing. If you have high blood pressure this place is off limits! read more

If there was a zero or negative rating, I would give it to this pharmacy. Medication is delayed every-single-time (or out of stock with no warning and no idea when it will be back in stock). I've had several instances where a notification telling me the medication is ready and they are randomly closed (during normal operating hours). I have also heard nothing from them at all and gone in several days later only to be told that they don't have the medication I need, or worse, the notification cycle that says it's delayed and will be ready by tomorrow morning, only to get the same notification the following day and play that game for weeks until you finally give up and call someplace else. There is immense turnover and they are chronically understaffed, leading to astronomical wait times. Beyond the terrible operations of the pharmacy, the licensed pharmacist (Zachariah Bui, CA Board of Pharmacy License #60515) is unprofessional, disrespectful and I've seen him create very embarrassing situations with loud discussion about patient ailments and medication. Worst pharmacist I have ever dealt with. Takes forever to fill a prescription. Come in 3 hours after Dr appt to pick up and order is not filled. They tell us it will be filled within an hour. Come in 2 hours later and it is STILL not filled. On top of that, pharmacy was completely closed today because somebody decided not to show up for work. Cashier said they have no idea if the pharmacy will be open tomorrow or for the rest of the week. Meanwhile, I am unable to transfer them to another Walgreens because the system shows the last refill is already filled at this location and there is nobody there to cancel it to allow them to fill at another location. So basically my refills are being held hostage at this location because pharmacist decided they didn't want to work today. We will be switching to CVS. read more

I was referred to Walgreens by a CVS pharmacist in order to procure some insulin syringes for my T1 diabetic son because CVS had run out. He said that if I presented the prescribed vial of insulin that I could purchase them for cash. I was treated rudely by the Walgreens pharmacy manager to the extent that I would actually describe as hostile. How dare I even ask for such a product that is in short supply? This is by far the worst pharmacy that I've ever been to. They have a pharmacist that disappears into a locked room in the back perhaps for customer consults while four or five other people wait in line to be served Clerks have no access to the pharmacist during this ordeal,to approve the prescription orders. Customers ultimately get turned away and asked to come back, sometimes hours later.I have sat through the pharmacy drive-through line three cars deep only to have them close the pharmacy window and tell me they're at lunch or they are closed when it is my turn for service. Sometimes it will take 24 hours plus two or three trips before you can pick up your scrips. Expect unhappy and rude employees Avoid this place at all costs. read more

The most amazingly incompetent pharmacy I've ever used. They either fill prescriptions twice as often as they should, or don't fill them at all, fill the *wrong* prescription, or fill the wrong dosage. Not once have I picked up my meds without an issue or mistake. Not once. I have repeatedly told them I pay out of pocket, yet they keep trying to run my meds through insurance that doesn't exist stalling their refill up to a week at times. How these people are allowed to dispense medication is beyond me. read more

My doctors sent multiple Rx's to Walgreens over the past year, somehow Walgreens never received them including the last two times I went in. On each event I was told by staff they did not have the Rx and I should contact my doctor. I finally had enough and told Walgreens staff I was moving my business to another pharmacy and not to contact my doctor for a new Rx and not to fill anything else. After leaving, they managed to find the Rx they previously did not have then filled it contrary to my very explicit instructions. I called Walgreens and told them to put it back on the shelf. I've filled out the "Walgreens Listens" survey requesting someone call me on three separate occasions. No one has ever bothered. Perhaps they should rename their survey "Walgreens Could Care Less". read more

This is by far the worse pharmacy I have ever been to in my entire life. They are rude and inconsiderate. I called three times in the four hours that my prescription was sent over to see if my medication was ready. The last time was at 6:30. They said (slightly frustrated at my calls) no it was not and they would call me when it was. At 6:58 I got an email saying my prescription is ready. I called and was told I would have to pick up tomorrow bc they close at 7.. ummm what?! Why not tell me that at 6:30 when I called?! I tried to explain I could not go all night without it and they repeated the pharmacy hours. I was up all night sick and in pain. The pharmacy staff is awful. I will never go here again. I hope they close and they also find themselves in a situation like I was in and realize they could have done better if they just showed me some common decency and respect. read more

I just tried to order some things for curbside pickup and was told that I had to order online. I tried that and couldn't figure out how to get the curbside pickup. I could have had the items mailed but I just wanted the curbside pickup. Then I tried a "front of the store" order to pick up at the drive thru pharmacy - nope. I had to go online for that too. I could understand if they were really busy but they were not. I just gave up. I'll go to Placerville where they are MUCH more accommodating and friendly. read more

I just spent over 12 minutes in the drive-up window waiting to be waited on after being recognized right when I drove up, then being told I be right with you only to see her turn around and wait on someone at the counter who came in after I drove up, only to finally have someone else wait on me. Their customer service needs some training and some serious help. I'm a transplant from Rite Aid the closed down on Greenvally Rd. Was not given any choice as far as my prescriptions being transferred to Walgreens but they have one more month and then I pulling them to the CVS in the BelAir shopping center. The only reason I'm not there now is they don't have a drive-up window. read more

I am Veryyyyy grateful to now be apart of their pharmacy... A referral from Rite aid after they closed their Green Valley store. Yesterday, Nov 4 my doctor called in some refills for me for one particular prescription. One refill would not go through because it was too early for it to be covered by insurance (I refill this often and this is nothing new). So I called Walgreens in Cameron Park to tell them I'd still like to refill it and that I'm aware I'll pay out of pocket. This phone call took place at 6:15 on Nov 5. I told the man who answered the phone that I was trying to refill a prescription, but that I would be paying out of pocket for it. He asked for my info and prescription name. He then told me that my doctor denied the request. I explained to him that I have an email from her stating she did in fact approve it. He became short with me and once again said "nope, she denied it". I felt like I couldn't even explain or ask questions. I told him I'll try to figure it out on my end and he hung up. He didn't even say goodbye, give an apology.. nothing. It was incredibly rude. So I hopped on the pharmacy chat and the kind woman I talked to sent it through immediately. The original man I spoke with called me back after, completely surprised to see that I was getting a refill for the prescription. I told him that this woman was able to do it the second I requested it. He obviously made a mistake. I am really disgusted by this entire situation. Luckily I do not have any major health issues that would worsen without my medication. This could have been so much worse if it had been with another customer. And fortunately I knew to question him. They use an automated system and they tell you not to rely on it. So you try to call and can't get thru. So you go there and wait 30 minutes for them to tell you the automated system was wrong. I have been having meds filled through the pharmacy for over 2 years for the people I take care of. I've called on last minute notice and literally save people's lives and well being because of them. The other employees throughout the store have done such kind things that have brought me to tears out of the kindness of their own hearts. The pharmacy and employees are underpaid and under staffed and it is not their fault. All the negative reviews about the pharmacist they don't have a clue what that person goes through on a daily basis. I am honored I've got to meet all of these people as individuals and professionals and I will continue to do my business there even long after I leave my job. Really disappointed and hate to give it one star, because some of the employees are absolutely awesome. However, the pharmacist that I spoke to today was extremely unprofessional and shouldn't even have a job. He was rude, careless, and lazy. They didn't have my prescription and I asked if another Walgreens might have it. He told me that I'd have to call store to store, checking. It's his job to look online if a customers prescription isn't available at his location. When I mentioned that it is difficult to get a hold of anyone, he shrugged and said, "Exactly. That's why I can't do it." I spoke to someone through another pharmacy and apparently this is not the first time that this problem with him has occured. Pharmacy is just ridiculous. Every single time I send my dogs meds here I have to come back 2-3 times because it's not ready, it's being processed or some other stupid reason. EVERY SINGLE TIME! It's literally not mixed by pharmacy-they pull the bottle off the shelf-put a sticker on it..... come on people-not rocket science. I came today at 6pm, not ready-currently it's taking 1.5 hrs to get a rx-ok, I leave and come back 1:45 minutes later-now the pharmacist is on break and will have to process it when he gets back, that'll be about 20 minutes . read more

Walked in close to 10pm, asked the cashier if photo was open. He said yes walked over and asked f I needed a cord. I accepted, asked what I could print and he said pretty much anything. Gave me a list of options and I sat down to place my order. He then came to me and said just so you know we close in 5 minutes. I said cool, I'll be quick. He came over to remind me I could do this online & that he wouldn't be able to print tonight. His manager came over to me twice to remind me they closed at 10. This is all in 5 minutes. I just switched to this pharmacy. I wish I had taken the time to read reviews first. I went straight from the doctors office to pick up my prescription but it wasn't ready. I called 2 hours later, still not ready. I waited another 3 hours to call and was told "10 more minutes". I asked if this was the norm and should I expect to wait for prescriptions in the future, an honest question. The girl was rude and told me they were short staffed and had too many covid shots. I had 5 prescriptions waiting to get refilled for over three weeks; it wasn't until I personally went in and complained that I was out of medication I take daily for over a week that they filled some of the refills. One of them (insulin) was 'still' out of stock and when the time limit hit 4 weeks, they simply canceled the order, without informing me. I subsequently ordered from a pharmacy near my work ( it was another Walgreens), they filled it within one day. With out really thinking, I submitted two more prescriptions for refill; it's now been over two weeks and the status was still being filled. I still need these medications and can really wait, so I cancelled the orders (so I can order from the store near my work and actually get them filled); it's now coming up on a week and the status is still 'canceling'! Again: DO NOT ORDER FROM THE PHARMACY! You won't get it filled. read more

Awful! Had a prescription that was "pending" for literally 2 weeks. This is a daily medication that I have now been without for several days. Tried calling MULTIPLE times over the last two weeks and never could get anyone on the phone, the recording stating staffing shortages. Tried to come in after work to sort it out and the pharmacy was closed at 5pm - 2 hours early! Again..."staffing shortage". Finally had to come in on the weekend only to be told "it wasn't ready yet ". Seriously?!?! It's been pending for two weeks. It seems to me that if they are that short on staff they have a responsibility to the health of those in need of medications to figure this out or start transferring orders to a pharmacy that can! read more

Terrible Pharmacy. I was just forcibly switch here after my Rite Aid on Green Valley was shut down. I'd already heard bad things about this Walgreens, but decided to give it a chance. I went in to refill my prescription, the guy took the prescription info, and my insurance card, and then proceeded to click and click and click his mouse for the next ten minutes. He was clicking the mouse multiple times per second, and must have done over 1000 clicks (probably several thousand) while I stood there waiting. Now everyone knows there is no pharmacy software or insurance info software that requires clicking the mouse that much. I do know of one type of software that requires that many clicks, and it is games. He then told me he couldn't get it, and I told him I'd come back later when they got it figured out. It's been a week, and the prescription and I assume the insurance info still is wrong. There's nothing wrong with my insurance, it's the game player that was playing games with me. I do not recommend this pharmacy under any circumstances. They have no desire to help people or run a business properly. read more

All the staff in the pharmacy are really nice ... except Paul, the Prescription Nazi. I am 67, have serious hip, knee and spinal issues resulting from a 2002 car wreck. Have been requiring pain meds since May as 3 Stanford specialists and my primary care doc sort out my treatments. Paul has harrassed us as though we are criminals. He's generally rude but now it's become anxiety inducing. Will I get my meds or not? And with insurance rules, the way holidays fall, weekends, etc, it can really mess up your life. I did call the store manager, long story won't bore you with. Got a sniveling kind of apology (she must have been standing there), then the next interaction, he was back to rude. Must have failed the MCATs, can't be a doc, so instead, he'll be an asshole. read more

I missed my survey window after my purchase so I'm hoping Walgreens Corporate sees this review here. I came in to do my passport photo. Every single ID picture I have taken has always been horrific. I've hated every single one. Phidel completely changed that for me and believe it or not something that seems so insignificant to most meant A LOT for me. He took his time to take my picture, he was so kind and patient. I'm not a rude customer at all but he was able to tell when I was not fully set on my picture, he was would tell me not to worry because are going to retake it until I was comfortable with my shot! Photo department sucks. Never had a problem, other than the quality of some of my pictures were crummy, until today. My son had a project due the next day and I sent pictures in to be printed. Pictures that I HAD THE RIGHT TO PRINT. I dont appreciate being questioned about prints that were taken by a friend. I was told that I had to sign something saying I was liable if someone wanted to come after me. Ummm, no. I'm not signing anything. Took my business elsewhere. My family has been using this pharmacy for almost 5 years. Paul is the person that usually fills our RXs and I think he does a great job of finding mistakes that my regular dr makes when prescribing my family medicine. The woman that usually works with him at the register is always very pleasant and knows us by name. The only bummer is the wait time in the drive-thru. Pretty standard Walgreens, with just about everything you need on your late night cough medicine run. Very friendly staff helped me find what I needed, I think it was the pharmacist pointing out the best meds for my symptoms. I haven't seen any other pharmacies as complete as this one in the immediate area, so I would recommend shopping here first. read more
