1/15/2019 & 1/17/2019: Gas price updates! The Fuel EXPRESS via Shingle Springs is selling regular gas for $2.89 per gallon which I have no clue or understanding how THIS gas station USED TO BE the least expensive to now, THE most expensive gas along Highway 50. Seriously, how does this gas station configures their gas pump prices stumps, baffles me to the point I'm shaking my head . . . No, not patronizing this gas station at all. Recently, I also reported the Safeway and Arco located at Placerville, their gas prices which remains as status quo as of today, 1/17/2019; however, the Arco via Highway 50 and Cambridge Exit is selling their regular gas at $2.79 per gallon which is the same gas price as the Arco via Green Valley Road in El Dorado Hills. In addition, I just don't even bother mentioning Chevron or Shell, i.e., Shell was an Apartheid promoter so, I totally ignore not mentioning their "punch-you-in-the-face," nose-bleed, gas pump, price points . . . Not bothering-ever. Costco? Meh~Not buying into purchasing their membership in order, buying gas equals FOGGEDDABOUDDIT. read more

This is one of the gas stations that are closest to my house. They do have a gas walk in store, a car wash, and 12 gas pumps. The drive in is tight and there is not a lot of room for pulling in and driving forward. I don't really care for that aspect. I unfortunately feel like my car is always going to be hit. And like most or all AMPMs there is no credit here. Only debit and or cash. I really hate when my payment options are limited. Sometimes it makes it very inconvenient. Overall this location is a little rough when speaking of the crowd. The good things are the car wash works really well ands the price of gas is usually lower. Overall this place is average but I would come back when in the area. read more

This was the damage done to my car in their carwash. Lou took an accident report but no one in corporate will respond so I can get my car fixed. The manager Norm, makes it clear he doesn't care and will have someone get back to me instead of taking responsibility for his station. This review is for ALL Arco AM/PM's but this just happens to be the one that burned me... I wanted gas and cash so the chickie at the counter tells me I can't do both in a single transaction. So I say I can just get cash and then go purchase gas with the cash and she says yes. OK fine whatever, but then she says but I have to buy something. Uh, yeah, make a purchase to get cash, fine I buy a drink and pay the ATM fee which I think is up to .65 cents now... and guess what? The most cash I can get is $45 bucks!! Hello? The chickie knew I needed gas and to fill up costs more that $40 for me. Unbelievable. I took the cash and went and paid more somewhere else... Pa-lease... read more

This place used to be a great place to buy gas and other items, not so now. "Norm" the manager has become an arrogant, and rude manager. He lost his customer service attitude. It's been replaced by an unappreciative and ungrateful attitude. This happened after he has had some success, and installed an upgraded car wash. Like most small thinking businessmen or women, he has forgotten who and what made his success possible. The gas pumps are always broken, and he treats his employees badly. If i could rate this Arco lower i would.This Arco is managed by Norm and there seems to a complete lack of ethics there.I have been getting charged $40 per month for the last 15 months for their carwash plan after canceling it in July 2021.They refuse to reimburse me and say there is nothing they can do.Thats my $600 they embezzled.Stay away from this place.Who knows how many other people they have been ripping off. read more

Not 24 hours, had a sign posted saying they'd be closed till 3:15 which meant I'd have to wait 30 minutes. They had 3 employees on duty but I couldn't even pump a little gas. What's the point of being 24 hours and having 3 people on staff if you're not going to be open? read more

This and the ARCO in Placerville (Forni Road Exit) are the two lowest cost places to fill up in Western El Dorado County. Most Gas Stations charge 30 cents and even more. But of course it's the credit card thing, so if you must use credit Arco is not for you. It's cash or debit, that's one way ARCO keeps their prices low. Good staff, I always like to work the staff here. It has all the basics. Fountain drinks. My only other favorite gas stations in the area are on Pleasant Valley Road. The car wash works well for my vehicles as well, no damage, and it's generally always working. It is a very busy station so I like to come on off hours. read more

Convenient. Well lit. Cheaper gas (possibly, by all means). I see the same people when I go here. It's the neighborhood gas station. When I say convenient, it's right off the highway. Coming down the hill, you could just throw the car into neutral and coast right to a pump! The stations are always clean. The store is always stocked. It's a very bright station... like a beacon in the night because it's also on a hill. Your car may not need gas, but when you see the station, it suddenly does. We get propane here as well. The service staff are always very friendly. No attitudes. Just pleasant! It's BBQ season again, so we'll be seeing them more often. read more

How could I not give 5 stars to a gas station that gives you your fourth soda free!!! I know I should really stop drinking soda but its hard when I live across from a place that has such a huge selection! The employees are all really funny and I have never had any problems. For starters, this gas station was about 40-80cents cheaper than any other gas station in the area. Yes, you do have to pay cash or pay 35extra cents if you use a debit card. But it is worth it in the end. This place had numerous pumps so people don't have to sit and wait 10 minutes for a pump to open up. They have a car wash, small stop area and clean bathrooms. It is right off the freeway, so easy to access it and if your getting back on the freeway to go west you just go straight to get back on. I went in to get my change and the employees were very courteous and friendly. read more

I bought the $14 car wash because I had a big bird poop on the front window. I pointed it out to the attendant and asked if the wash would get rid of it. He told that it would, no problem. He gave a quick scrub down but barely went over the front window. Unfortunately the bird turd was still there after the wash ended. I would have asked to go back through but we were late to where we were going. Beware that the $14 car wash doesn't do much cleaning! read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible! Let me start by disclaiming I completely understand the laws regarding cigarette sales and the importance of prohibiting minors from buying them. But I can't imagine our state lawmakers sitting there thinking yeah, "we're gonna give every numbskull with a cash register the right to harass and bully the smokers in this great state!". The language in the official law was very clear, no sales to anyone under 21 years of age, unless the purchaser is active duty over 18 with valid military ID. So it's pretty ridiculous when clerks ask for my ID. Try as I may, I couldn't convince Stevie Wonder I'm under 21. In fact I could have a 21 year old son or daughter conceived after a wild night of legal drinking at my local tavern. But as I approached the counter I saw the sign - all ages please have your ID ready. I pulled my wallet from my pocket and sat down the fountain drink I just prepared. The lady mumbles "52" three or four times then finally looks up and says "any gas or a car wash?" I tell her I would like gas and a pack of cigarettes. I slowly tell her my preference and she grabs the wrong ones. I politely inform her I wanted the red ones. She asked if I had ID. I confirmed I do. She asks to see it. I open my wallet and turn it to the correct orientation so she can easily read it. She asks me to take it out of my wallet, I comply and extend my hand her direction to easy viewing. She then tells me to give it to her so she can swipe my license in her credit card processing terminal. I tell her no, this is a cash sale, I'm CLEARLY over 21 years of age and have a valid state ID to show it. She then informs me that she cannot sell me cigarettes unless she swipes my license. I again ask why. Her response is "so I know how old you are." I tell her to LOOK at it, that information is printed right on the front. My mind begins to race as I try to imagine a single reason to let this sketchy character who's obviously lived a rough life with scars to shows it, but none come to mind. At that point another employee, with a few teeth short of a mouthful who's speaking on the phone interrupts our exchange to share his 1/2 cents worth of insight exclaiming "its store policy to swipe ID's". Had either of these unsavory individuals found my ID on the street I'd consider moving. IT IS AN INVASION OF MY PRIVACY TO ELECTRONICALLY COLLECT MY PERSONAL DATA AND PHYSICAL LOCATION WITHOUT PROPER NOTICE AND MY EXPRESS CONSENT. Literally shocked by the complete lack of comprehension of why they are asking for ID in the first place, I concede by paying for my beverage and leaving without smokes. Why? Because some idiot doesn't have enough common sense to look at my face and matching identification to decide I'm twice the legal age and it's ok to sell me tobacco. The law doesn't say a valid CA ID is required for sales, it states sales are only permitted to adults 21 and older. I'm tired of the BS from power hungry flunkies over buying cigarettes. I get it, it's a serious offense to sell cigs to a kid, but when I arrive alone, with an ID and money I'd better leave with cigarettes with little to no hassle or that store is doing something wrong. Which is the case with this poor excuse for an Arco AM PM. I frequent several other locations and always receive satisfactory or better service consistently. Avoid them! read more

Don't misunderstand me, I love high end food establishments. I've been dying to go to the Kitchen but can't get a reservation for the nights I have a babysitter. Be that as it may, I have a real desire for Gas Station food. From time to time nothing will satisfy me like a burger from AM PM. When I saw that Cameron Park was building a new one just off Hi way 50 and Cambridge I was excited! The do not disappoint. I was in there yesterday and the offerings are right out of a dream. 6 diff rent flavors of Slur pees. That day there was White Wild Cherry, Coke, Blueberry, Regular Cherry, Banana and I think Orange. MY Goodness. They also have corn dogs, Jalapeno Cheese Corn dogs, All Beef Hot Dogs, Foot Long Hot Dogs, Cheese Burgers, Double Cheese Burgers and Nachos! The thing I like the best besides the rock bottom prices is the condiment bar. After you get your burger or what not, you can put as much onions, katsup, mayo that you like. YUMMMMM I like AM PM burgers so much that one time on a road trip my husband wanted to stop at In and Out Burger but I had him stop next door for me at an AM PM so I could get a cheese burger and make it just the way I like it. I have no problem with the price of gas or the restrooms or the variety of what is sold here. A couple of the clerks are well mannered and helpful. My problem is with the other clerks who seem to think that cursing at work is just dandy. And I am not talking about a mild swear word - I am talking about filthy language around children. read more

Purchased a six pack of soda for a round of golf and asked if I could get some ice to put in my cup from the fountain machine. The cashier was having a bad day and said she would have to charge me for a cup of ice even with a purchase. I had my own cup and they wanted to charge me $.54 for a cup of ice after charging me over $5 for a six pack of Coke. Have some common sense AM/PM. I had the best customer service experience here while grabbing a coffee for the first time! I think the woman's name was Carol? I didn't get the rest , but she made a 6am need for coffee an enjoyable experience, counted back my change( you just don't see that anymore) and was so pleasant I want to come back for a refill! I go to ampm everytime for my gas and occasionally some random food or drinks. I went to this one here in cameron park cause I live near it. Have been here a bunch of times never a problem. Tonight was different. I went in bought a couple of drinks and a slushy for my gf. The cashier ( Dennis) was a bit rude popping off with some "good ole boy" kinda jokes witch I dident appreciate. So after his comments I figured I get him for the free car wash he DID NOT ASK ME FOR! After asking for it he lied to me saying "it's only for people who are getting gas" then continued to say that they would have to look at video cameras. So since they took this so far I decided you no what go ahead and check the cameras cause I no damn straight that Dennis did not ask me. So after waiting some guy comes out from the back (looking like Spock from Star Trek), not kidding look at his eyebrows and you'll no what I'm saying.
