12/20/2024: Ooooops~I forgot adding the Safeway receipt for the items I purchased! Unfortunately, I kept returning to Safeway every other day SINCE, 12/20/2024 hoping purchasing ORGANIC, Pasture-Raised EGGS . . . NONE!!!!! 1/23/2025: WOT???? Safeway still doesn't have ORGANIC, Pasture-Raised EGGS????? I checked Safeway's APP--STILL NO ORGANIC, PASTURE-RAISED EGGS! WAAAAAAH--UNHAPPY!!!!

This is the posted deal all over Safeway they didn't honor note there is no start date

Safeway had posted a deal to buy chips mix and match at 1.99 when you buy five when we reviewed our receipt the chips cost more than twice as much when we asked, they gave multiple reasons as to why we didn't get the deal . First reason not the right mix not true next reason was the price takes effect tomorrow yet the prices were posted every where in the store. Safeway does this all the time watch your recites we catch them all the time . We returned the chips when they didn't honor their posted price. They hope were all too stupid to check the receipt i bet a lot of people payed twice as much for their chips as they thought. Please stop trying to rip people off!

Friday (8/27) deal sushi with a smart water all for $5! (Simple spicy California roll for my son)

Loving my local Safeway! The have the very best flowers, and cakes and of course all your essential needs and more! Staff is super friendly and store is super clean!

This store is a pleasant trip anytime one needs to get groceries. They stock during the night, which is nice as you don't get disrupted during your shopping trip. I came in to return some cough drops that I bought at another Safeway, no receipt or Safeway account. Danielle helped me out and exchanged them for another type of cough drop with no trouble. Minus a star because the gas station seems to have many pumps out frequently and also runs out of gas completely about once a month. This Safeway also is missing many goods and amenities others have. Coinstar is non functional as of today 12/13/23

Be prepared to wait in a long line and no one to ever bag your groceries. The one on Francisco has better service.

The customer service is just consistently good, and it makes the whole shopping experience feel different. I also want to give a specific shoutout to Theo. I think he was hired pretty recently, but he's already one of my favorite people there. He has this hilarious, old-timey sense of humor that makes checking out way more fun than it has any right to be. Not curmudgeonly at all. Just quirky, dry, and genuinely funny. I find myself going to his line whenever I see him because I know I'm going to leave laughing. More people should talk about how great the staff is here. Theo is awesome, and he's a perfect example of why I keep coming back.

In the rare occasions when I'm not able to find something I wanted, it's because it's something so obscure I wind up having to either ordering it online or making a trip to some hidden specialty store in the Bay Area to get it. I've been shopping here for a couple of years. There's another grocery store that's five minutes from my house, but I drive the 20 minutes to shop here because the overall experience is so much better. Today's trip really stood out to me because of a couple things... while I was at the deli waiting for the clerk to work on my order, at least three other employees came up to me and asked if I was being helped. I've been to other stores where I've stood at a counter for literally 5 minutes, watching employees going out of their way to not acknowledge me. That never happens here. Then I was really taken aback by how the peppers and mushrooms were displayed. The fact that whoever stocked these mushrooms took the time to turn every mushroom cap side up and arranged all the portobellos the way they are speaks to a dedication to quality work. You can tell that in this store, nobody half-asses anything, and the employees take pride in what they do.

The crunchiness mixed with the sauce perfectly. It had a sweet and sour flavor that I loved. There were a lot of different options to choose from too sushi, poke bowls, dumplings, salads, hot food, and more. Everything looked fresh and well put together. The deli area was clean, well-organized, and easy to browse. I was originally thinking about getting a poke bowl, but Roderick from the deli was telling me some of his favorite items and I ended up trying the sushi instead. Glad I did because it was delicious. The employees were all really nice and welcoming. Shout out to Roderick and Mary for making the experience enjoyable, and Teresa the supervisor was really kind as well. Only thing I noticed was I didn't see any soy sauce packets or wasabi out when I grabbed my sushi. Usually I see those available, so maybe they just ran out for the day. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. Definitely coming back to try the poke bowls next time.

Each employee I have encountered has been friendly, professional and extremely attentive in making sure your order is exactly right. Kudos to this staff! I've been shopping at this location for a number of years, not because I love the place and have…read moregreat experiences, but because it's the closest store in my proximity. In fact, I've had a number of unpleasant and or disappointing experiences at this store. Namely, the miserable nature of the staff makes the experience memorable. Everyone is in automatic mode, oblivious to the customer service nature of their positions dealing with the public. People seem to genuinely hate working here, with a passion. If you ask for help, staff seem annoyed or are genuinely unhelpful and have no idea where the items are on the racks. Zero intention to learn the store or know the products or layout. If you step into line, there's no greeting, just a transactional attitude and an air of annoyance that you inconvenienced them with your presence. Once, I forgot a jug of water on the bottom of the basket and was met with an almost confrontational assumption that I was trying to pull a fast one. As if I couldn't afford a distilled jug of water for another dollar after spending $400+ on groceries. In addition, they hire incompetent baggers. I get offering work to those with disabilities, and I commend that. Where I have to draw the line is when they hire someone with no capacity to learn proper bagging techniques and assign them as baggers. I spend a ton on overpriced food item then get home to find the bread under heavy canned items, smashed, or the chips crushed to bits, or the eggs cracked due to incompetence in bagging. When I worked in the grocery industry, we had strict training agendas with a focus on customer service and proper bagging techniques. Preventing cross contamination with raw meats and vegetables, balancing weight, engaging in small talk, greeting every customer. I suppose that era is long over? Is there no training in place now, or is the training just a massive corporate failure? Today, I came in for two items. At the deli, I waited six minutes to be acknowledged whilst three people were troubleshooting a register, completely oblivious to a customer being at the counter. No one even looked up or bothered to greet me. Very typical at this location. In line, I waited patiently for my turn and the checker literally acted like I didn't exist. She didn't greet me nor even acknowledge me. It's as if she saw through me and I was invisible. If you enjoy curt transactions with annoyed staff, over priced items, and over stimulation from dodging people and objects blocking aisles, look no further! This location is your sanctuary!

After scanning my return code, was instructed to place my item in one of the provided plastic bags. Only my item did not fit inside of the bag. Do I just slap a label on the item without the bag? Hmm. None of the FAQ applied to my situation. ie, Item too large for Dropbox? Nope, it will fit inside of that just fine. Too many items to fit inside bag? Try separating them into individual bags. Nope. Only had one item to place in the bag. Sooo. Since it was none of the above, I pressed the get help button. Mainly to see if I was just supposed to forgo the plastic bag part. The kiosk instructed me to wait for an associate and the red light came on. No one came over to help. Had to extend the time on the kiosk 2x. Finally, a RUDE worker came over to let me know that his "preference" was for me to go to the service counter. No apologies for the long wait or lack of signage or instructions to go to the desk. There was no signage stating that employees prefer customers to come to the desk instead of waiting at the kiosk. As a first-time customer, I followed the kiosk's instructions, which told me to wait for an associate. When one finally came over, I was rudely told it was their preference that I come to the desk instead. If that's the preferred process, there should be clear signage or the kiosk should say so. I can tell you what my preference is: clear instructions for customers and courteous service. My preference is also to never return here again.

I'm usually a pretty easygoing customer, but the customer service I experienced at Ranch 99 Market…read morein Folsom today was extremely disappointing. I stopped by around 4;00 PM at the BBQ/roast meat counter. I was next in line when the cashier allowed another customer to cut in front of me and tried to serve her. I had to point out that there was a line before the situation was addressed. I was already feeling frustrated at that point. When it was finally my turn, I selected a particular piece of BBQ pork from the rack, which is something I have done many times before. The chopper refused to give me that piece and insisted that I choose one from the container instead, saying that the meat on the rack was cold. This didn't make much sense to me because I have been shopping here for years and have never been told that I couldn't select the BBQ pork from the rack because it was cold. While I was waiting, I also watched the same employee serve ducks and BBQ ribs from the rack to other customers without telling them that those items were cold. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the customer who had cut in line had already indicated the piece she wanted. It appeared that the piece on the rack had effectively been set aside for her. I cannot say for certain that this was the reason, but the timing and the way the situation was handled certainly gave me that impression. When the cashier overheard our conversation about the meat being "cold," she interrupted and joined in, repeatedly asking me, "Are you sure you want the cold one?" She seemed determined to convince me to change my mind and choose a different piece. At that point, I felt like I was being pressured over a very simple and ordinary request. After going back and forth, I finally gave up and took the piece the chopper wanted me to have. I was also concerned that the chopper was not wearing a mask while handling and serving ready-to-eat cooked food. The problem wasn't simply that I couldn't get the particular piece of BBQ pork I wanted. It was the overall customer service--the cashier allowing someone to cut in line, the inconsistent explanation, and the repeated attempts to convince me to change my selection. After shopping here for years, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. This was one of the worst customer-service experiences I've had at this store.
