My friend and I stopped into Trader Joe's to pick up some snacks and flowers for a friend's house while we were in Folsom a couple of weeks ago. I love Trader Joe's, but I don't go very often so I like to pop in when I have the chance! They had a wide range of beautiful flowers so we picked up a few bundles to make our own bouquet. I finally picked up a jar of their Bourbon Vanilla Bean Paste that I kept seeing - I tried it in my coffee and it was so good! The ambiance at a Trader Joe's is always the same - well stocked and organized. I even like that they display their different items out in front and they also clearly mark new items. During this recent trip, they had a display for their different Ube items. Service is always friendly at the check out lines! I'll be back soon! read more

This Traders Joe's, in Folsom, is busy... all the time. It's a poplar place. Of course it is, overall TJ has captivated consumers with its seemingly "healthier" food items and cheap prices. Plus the next nearest TJs is about 15 miles away. This location sells the typical TJ items. I luv the flower selection. It seems they always have a fresh selection of blooms with pricing as low as $5 a bunch. And the greeting cards are fun and funky cute, and a no brainer buy at 99cents. Take that Hallmark. I also am drawn to their frozen food aisle. It's like taking an international food tour... branzino filets from the Mediterranean Ocean, Portuguese custard tarts, tamales, simit Turkish bread, baladi Egyptian pita, Korean japchae, okinomayaki, tayaki ... just to name a few. Think about it; you can try a new international dish at a fraction of the price of making it yourself or going to an eatery. This location seems a wee bit smaller (square footage) than some other Sacramento area TJs I've been to. Not a deal breaker for me. read more

Date: Tuesday, December 9th, 2025 Time: around 7:15pm *Bread Multigrain Sprouted ($4.49) *Spice Everything But Bagel ($1.99) x2 The hubby and were going to pick up dinner in the area. Since there was a TJ's around, I wanted to drop by and grab some everything bagel seasoning. This TJ's is a smaller one, but we found the last two bottles. I needed some bread as well and picked up the one above. I typically like the thinner sliced bread, but they didn't have any. Check in and out was quick and easy. I only recently "discovered" TJs. I come for their fresh flowers which are so much cheaper and fresher than Whole Foods. They have a lovely selection of Roses, carnations, peonies and many more. The staff are always so helpful and pleasant. read more

Very busy today..we were in the area so stopped in for a few things. I wanted to check out their small shopping bags they are always in the news all the time. But of course they were sold out as soon as they are released. They were sold out of course. We found a few new things to try out. Sour dough crackers and some ginger cookies. Like this location of Joe's because of the spacious and ample parking lot. Came here to simply browse with nothing in mind in particular. Ended up meeting someone who was cleaning the shelves of "Boatswain American IPA" that got me wondering. He was nice enough to leave one pack for me to try and so I did. An exceptional IPA overall and the price makes it even a more attractive. I'm a fan and would return just for this alone. read more

This Trader Joe's was VERY busy. There's plenty of parking in the lot, but stopping in on a Monday afternoon it was a bit claustrophobic. The store was well stocked and organized, and there were staff members busy restocking and bringing out more product. I was able to navigate easily and find the staple items that I stopped in for. While the checkout stations were also busy, they had plenty of team members working and the lines moved very quickly. I would definitely stop into this location again when I'm in the area. read more

Trader Joe's is always such a fun experience! It is typically busy both in the store and the parking lot. There are fun seasonal items such as plants and food items. The butternut squash Mac and cheese is back for fall and it is stock up time! Love that the prices are reasonable and that there is a section highlighting new items. read more

Trader Joe's has great service with a down-home feel. They rarely have a cash register that's not open when they're full. In addition, their prices are reasonable with no need for a coupon. However, I miss their gazpacho, red refresh tea, spicy chicken Italian sausage, and no salt added marinara. read more

They put rustic healthy looking packaging on all their stuff and advertise themselves as a health foods store to make it seem healthy but after reading the ingredients on most of the stuff sold here its trash just as bad as buying great value groceries at walmart but advertised as healthy. Shame on trader joes. read more

Customer service today was outstanding, friendly and helpful. Although this store is busy it seems to be run efficiently and stocked. If they ever have to redo the parking lot, I hope they will redesign it. It is an accident waiting to happen. Proceed with caution! read more

Unfortunately, this is the only Trader Joe's in the area. Quality of food has gone down. The vegetables & fruits are not fresh. It is either bruised or mold. One time, I bought half of a chicken & it has a weird smell. Even the frozen potato pancake tasted off & crumble one time. They do have good return policy. It is just inconvenience to drive back to do return. I usually come to this location once a week. Now, only one time a month. read more

I was asking how something tasted and the guy had said have you ever tried it before thinking he was gonna live up to their you can try it policy and offer a sample he ended up saying oh they're pretty good. You should just get them and I thought they didn't have a try it before you bought it policy, but they did and he just wouldn't uphold. The things are terrible and I wish I never bought them. I like going to the store, but you need to train your employees about your policies or not have ones that won't implement them. read more

Honestly, I usually love this store but it's also so crowded all the time. It makes it even worse when you're trying to check out and spend a few minutes in a checkout line with no one in it except for a cashier (Evelyn) checking out another employees groceries. Except, instead of scanning, bagging, and checking her out they spent 5+ minutes talking and took forever. So much so that I switched to the line right next to that one and was checked out and walking out of the store while they were still talking with each other, hadn't finished checking out, and were ignoring the other customers they had in line. Usually Traders is great when it comes to costumer service but come on. At least be doing your job while talking and acknowledge your customers instead of acting like this is your social hour. read more

11/20/21 Happy Sunday my Yelp fambam! Are you ready for Thanksgiving?!! 2020 was a blurrrr for me and 2021 is now almost over! Insane times! This location isn't much different than the usual TJ chains. I came by today for a few Thanksgiving essentials. I was hoping they had a turkey brine kit but was surprised they didn't have it. I decided to try Turkey Gravy and came across these other truffle goodies! I personally really like Trader Joe's! This is my new Trader Joe's location! And my very first visit :-). Could not ask for better virus precautions taken at this store. A fairly long line waiting to enter. Letting people in as people exit. Makes sense to me and worth waiting to be safe. Line moved very fast. All carts being sanitized. A beautiful day in the neighborhood standing in the fresh air and sunshine. No surprises once I was allowed in the store! We all know the layout, right! It was pretty cool actually to have shopper numbers limited. It seemed so spacious inside and easy to get around. Not the shoulder-to-shoulder experience we have all had pre virus in Trader Joe's. Maybe that is an idea Trader Joe's could think about keeping after the virus. Loaded up my shopping cart with all my familiar goodies which I have been out of for too long. Organic brown rice, three packs in the green box. Store it in the freezer. Take a packet out when I want one. Pop it into the microwave for 3 minutes. The best rice I have ever had. My middle eastern, whole wheat flatbread. Love this stuff. Another item I can freeze and take out slice by slice as I want. Always the favorite Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap. The only soap in my shower. Oh and the holiday treats are back. Or seasonal products as Trader Joe's calls them. My absolute FAV...the bacon-wrapped scallops! If you have not had these you best get yourself to the nearest Trader Joe's and pick some up. Sometimes I bake them and do not share!:)). My Aunt introduced me to Trader Joe's in the 90's! I was at Saugstad Dog Park and this guy irritated me after a nice visit to the park so I was in an angry mindset! I knew I needed grocceries, so I stopped in and grabbed some salads and a few snacks. The place felt safe, workers seemed genuinely friendly, and it it changes my mood after the incident at the park! I was waiting for my husband to be released from Mercy Hospital in Folsom and had some time to spare. Realizing I had absolutely nothing to eat in our house, I thought I'd run into Trader Joe's to grab a few quick things to prepare for us to eat while he's recovering at home. As always, TJs had some great options, so I grabbed about 40-something dollars worth of stuff and headed to the checkout. I don't know if I looked distressed or the checkout clerk was just ultra friendly, be he asked me "any fun plans for the holiday?" And I told him I was headed over to pick my husband up from the hospital after having a mild stroke. He and the young lady bagging my groceries said they hoped me felt better soon. And she finished bagging the groceries, the clerk tells her he will be right back. I grab my groceries and start making my way out the door when he runs up to me with a bouquet of gorgeous flowers and tells me they are from our friends at Trader Joe's and to tell my husband they wish him a speedy recovery. I was moved to tears. Literal tears streaming down my face over a paper bag filled with frozen orange chicken. That small gesture gave touched my heart in such a way that it prompted me to write this review. I only wish I had gotten this young man's name so I could include it in the review and to call his manager and tell him what an amazing employee he has there. read more

I'll say one word that deeply emphasizes the mighty TJ's...Family (Vin Diesel voice) This place doesn't sell or bother to promote any GMO foods and they are always trying to incorporate culturally different cuisine and make it fun for everyone to try. You all know Trader Joe's is a great store offering unique items found nowhere else and great prices as well. I like to tell you all about fantastic products I've found here, so you can too! One new item I just tried is the Trader Joe's Thai Green Curry Simmer Sauce. This combines all the ingredients you'd need to make green curry from scratch, but it's already done for you in a 12 oz. jar for about $3.00. I decided to make Thai Green Curry with shrimp and veggies, using all Trader Joe's products right here at the store. The shrimp I found was best is the Argentinian Wild Shrimp frozen $9.99 per 1 lb bag. The veggies are the frozen Trader Joe's Stir Fry Veggies for $3.00. For some nice Jasmine rice on the side, I used the frozen microwavable Jasmine Rice ready in 3 minutes. Tasting the curry sauce, I thought a little bland but heading in the right direction, so I added fresh garlic, a few Lime Leaves and a few squirts of fish sauce. Thaw the shrimp (1/2 bag) and veggies. Heat the sauce in a medium pot, add veggies ... cook for 8 minutes, add shrimp and cook for 4 minutes, mix it all up and BAM!, it's done! Serve it with the rice and I'll tell you, it tastes just like it was from a decent Thai restaurant! The fish sauce really makes the curry come to life, but you'll probably have to get that at an Asian market if you don't have any. Spice level like this I'd say is a low 3 stars spicy for a Thai restaurant. This makes a great fast dish for us working people mid week, unless you just wanna go out and not do dishes! read more

First time in this Trader Joe's. There were so many choices of great healthy food to choose from. The prices compared to other stores in the area are much more reasonable here. This Trader Joe's is the best. It is very well organized and less busy than the Roseville location. The people who work there are always very chipper and happy to help. In addition to this, their Covid regulations are up to standard. There is a line to get in, however it goes by quick. Also, the carts are cleaned and everything runs smoothly. I havent been to Trader Joes in a while and I was waiting for someone nearby to finish their appointment, so I decided to browse around. When I got here, outside seemed to look like it was a GIANT TRADER JOES store. It was the way the location was set up on the outside. As I walked right in, it was exactly the same size as most Trader Joes I have ever been to. I miss Trader Joes...so why not make a visit. I saw that they were selling Coconut Virgin Oil. This has been discontinued for years. Who knows when they put it back on the shelves. I only recently discovered myself they had it. So I stocked up of course. I use coconut oil for everything. LOVE IT LOVE IT! Trade Joes typically does have their special produce and their delicious goodies. THis location is clean and well maintained. Good customer service and the workers are extremely friendly. I need to make more visits to Trader Joes....I forgot how much I love it. read more
