I find myself going to his line whenever I see him because I know I'm going to leave laughing. More people should talk about how great the staff is here. In the rare occasions when I'm not able to find something I wanted, it's because it's something so obscure I wind up having to either ordering it online or making a trip to some hidden specialty store in the Bay Area to get it. I've been shopping here for a couple of years. There's another grocery store that's five minutes from my house, but I drive the 20 minutes to shop here because the overall experience is so much better. Today's trip really stood out to me because of a couple things... while I was at the deli waiting for the clerk to work on my order, at least three other employees came up to me and asked if I was being helped. I've been to other stores where I've stood at a counter for literally 5 minutes, watching employees going out of their way to not acknowledge me. That never happens here. Then I was really taken aback by how the peppers and mushrooms were displayed. The fact that whoever stocked these mushrooms took the time to turn every mushroom cap side up and arranged all the portobellos the way they are speaks to a dedication to quality work. You can tell that in this store, nobody half-asses anything, and the employees take pride in what they do.

After scanning my return code, was instructed to place my item in one of the provided plastic bags. Only my item did not fit inside of the bag. Do I just slap a label on the item without the bag? Hmm. None of the FAQ applied to my situation. ie, Item too large for Dropbox? Nope, it will fit inside of that just fine. Too many items to fit inside bag? Try separating them into individual bags. Nope. Only had one item to place in the bag. Sooo. Since it was none of the above, I pressed the get help button. Mainly to see if I was just supposed to forgo the plastic bag part. The kiosk instructed me to wait for an associate and the red light came on. No one came over to help. Had to extend the time on the kiosk 2x. Finally, a RUDE worker came over to let me know that his "preference" was for me to go to the service counter. No apologies for the long wait or lack of signage or instructions to go to the desk. There was no signage stating that employees prefer customers to come to the desk instead of waiting at the kiosk. As a first-time customer, I followed the kiosk's instructions, which told me to wait for an associate. When one finally came over, I was rudely told it was their preference that I come to the desk instead. If that's the preferred process, there should be clear signage or the kiosk should say so. I can tell you what my preference is: clear instructions for customers and courteous service. My preference is also to never return here again.

They recently we did their produce display and it looks so cute and is easy to navigate with a farmers market type of feel, so they obviously take great care with the aesthetics of their store. But while I was in Folsom for an appointment, I noticed that the Folsom store on E. Bidwell was on my way home and decided to stop in. From the moment I walked through the bakery entrance, the experience was wonderful. The store was clean and immaculate, and Delon (apologies if I've misspelled the name) greeted me warmly in the bakery. His friendly, welcoming manner immediately made me feel comfortable. It may seem like a small gesture, but being greeted with genuine warmth at the start of a shopping trip made the store feel inviting and set a positive tone for my visit. I was still deciding what to make for dinner, so I spent some time near the meat counter. DJ was patient as I looked through the options and never made me feel rushed while I figured out what I wanted. We chatted about dinner ideas for the cooler weather, and his suggestions helped me think through my options. I ultimately decided on lasagna soup and picked up prepackaged Italian sausage, but DJ still took the time to let me know I could come back to the counter if I needed anything else. That willingness to help--even when I didn't end up buying from the counter--made a real impression. In the pasta aisle, Kevin was unpacking items and greeted me warmly as well. He let me know he was available if I needed help finding anything. I appreciated that he was focused on keeping the shelves stocked while still noticing and acknowledging customers. His offer made it easy to ask for help if I needed it, without interrupting my shopping or making me feel like I was on my own. As I approached the registers, Erin was straightening items near the checkout area and offered to help me check out when I was ready. From the moment I entered the store through checkout, the team made me feel welcome and well cared for. The chickpea flour is currently on sale for just **$0.38 per pound**, down from the regular price of **$3.89 per pound**. I was getting ready to fill several bags from the bulk bin when Mario from the produce department let me know they had an already- filled opened bag with just a couple pounds of the contents missing about 38 pounds in the back. That saved me the time and effort of emptying the bin, which probably would have taken close to an hour! Mario taped up the bag securely, I checked out and Mario even brought it out to my car.
