Chicken deal is always a good idea when you're in the area. Service was quick. I'd come back.

I have shopped at a couple of WinCo Foods stores in the Sacramento south area before. The stores are a big mess all the time. The shopping experience is not enjoyable! I want to pick up what I want and get out of there quickly! But this one in Folsom changed my view of WinCo Foods. They're good! I don't expect WinCo Foods will have much customer service. The main selling point of WinCo Foods is the good quality food at an excellent price. The Folsom store is keeping the low prices, good quality, plus a clean and well-maintained store. Much better than the other WinCo Foods I have shopped at in the past! The parking lot at this location is also spotless. It was pretty busy when I was there on a late Sunday afternoon. But I was still able to get a parking near the entrance.

These cotton candy things taste disgusting. Had the Dr. Pepper version. If cotton candy sounds appealing to you, seek out the real mccoy.

I've been a fan of Winco since I shopped Boise Winco years ago. Modern day Pak 'n Save, but Winco is employee-owned. I've been in this store a couple of times in recent months. It's "flipped" compared to the Orangevale location. A little challenging to find things. Today this location had excellent cilantro. I don't find the best bunches at the Orangevale location. BTW, if you like cilantro but don't eat it fast enough, get an herb keeper online or at a retail store. Cilantro lasts me 2+ weeks if I change the water every 2-3 days! Shopping Winco you'll find that they have most of what you need but not always a variety, it must keep costs low. Be sure to check out the bulk items - candy, beans, pasta, trail mix, nuts, dried fruit, and tons of seasonings and herbs. They also sell inexpensive herb jars.

I wouldn't recommended getting meat, deli meat or produce there...I came home and my deli meet looked green and hamburger meat was all brown in the inside

Our son moved to Folsom and has been raving about Winco. We finally got to go in around 11pm on a Tuesday night. As you would expect, parking lot and store were pretty empty. We just walked around to check it out, comparing products and prices to Costco and Safeway. Wow. Great selection and great prices. Just bought some snacks for the trip. If we lived closer would probably make Winco a regular grocery stock-up place. Big + that it's open 24 hours. I like shopping when it's not crowded. - that it only takes cash or debit.

In the rare occasions when I'm not able to find something I wanted, it's because it's something so obscure I wind up having to either ordering it online or making a trip to some hidden specialty store in the Bay Area to get it. I've been shopping here for a couple of years. There's another grocery store that's five minutes from my house, but I drive the 20 minutes to shop here because the overall experience is so much better. Today's trip really stood out to me because of a couple things... while I was at the deli waiting for the clerk to work on my order, at least three other employees came up to me and asked if I was being helped. I've been to other stores where I've stood at a counter for literally 5 minutes, watching employees going out of their way to not acknowledge me. That never happens here. Then I was really taken aback by how the peppers and mushrooms were displayed. The fact that whoever stocked these mushrooms took the time to turn every mushroom cap side up and arranged all the portobellos the way they are speaks to a dedication to quality work. You can tell that in this store, nobody half-asses anything, and the employees take pride in what they do.

This particular Nugget has a fairly large upstairs patio area with tables, chairs, restrooms, water bottle refilling station, microwave, etc. Lots of grocery stores in this area have a downstairs lounge area, but being upstairs (but still accessible via a ramp and elevators) gives it an extra edge. Plus you can't beat that view of the Mercedes dealership. The salad selection is some of the best I've seen anywhere, although they are very pricey at about $10/8oz (which is why I haven't actually tried one). I came here in search of some tampons that I couldn't find at Target, and was thrilled that this store carried small boxes of single sizes, versus the huge multipacks they had at Target. Thank you Nugget for doing a better job at procuring feminine health items than Target. As a bonus this store (like many others) is within walking distance of the wetland preserve.

I remember visiting Fork Lift like 10 years ago and really liking it - it is a sister store of Nugget Market I believe. The inside was massive, clean and well organized. Brought to you by the family-owned, upscale and very successful, Nugget chain of grocery stores. I became very well acquainted with the Nugget markets living in Davis. There were two stores not far from each other and they were always packed. I shopped at the smaller one as it was closer to my home. It is literally the only place I ever shopped for food.I cannot imagine shopping anywhere else. When I moved to El Dorado Hills 5 years ago... thank goodness there was a big and beautiful Nugget a mile and half away. My point is all Nugget markets are quite incredible. Nothing compares to them. Excellent quality, in-house prepared food, bakery... TDF, floral, meat department, liquor, and fabulous fresh produce section. Fork Lift is to me like the Nugget markets on steroids! I was astonished at the size of the store and cool inside architectural design. Yes it is hip! Super clean, well stocked in everything. Organized. Quite impressive. And the same great departments as I mentioned above that are available in the Nugget stores are right here too! The chatter is that the Fork Lift offers many discounted prices but honestly, I never see them. Then I heard the lower priced items are strategically placed in and around the store. Who knows. I enjoy taking the drive up the hill to Cameron Park occasionally just to wander around and marvel at this shopping mecca! Easy exit off the freeway and fast to find. Plenty of parking. Worth checking out if you are in the area or on the way to or returning from Tahoe. Did I mention super duper customer service!?! And weekly specials! I've been to at least two dozen different Asian grocery stores across the Pacific Northwest, and this is one of the cleanest. One of them actually shows a picture of a perfectly okay apple with the caption "rotten apple." While it is a bit on the small side for a "supermarket," they seem to have all the normal staple items.
