I rarely shop at Walmart but, sometimes it becomes a dire necessity shopping at this location due to lacking imperative, survival, camping items needed, it's within close proximity to all outdoor recreational activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking at Peninsula or PiPi Campgrounds, water sport activities at the American River, Cosumes River or Folsom Lake or skiing, playing in the snow drifts on the way to Lake Tahoe and beyond, and especially, Walmart's product price points aren't outrageously expensive. Still, I do prefer shopping online for non-imperative necessities such as recently purchasing an electric blanket for a newly purchased sleeper sofa . . . However, as previously stated, camping items I don't own, it becomes an unavoidable situation the urgency visiting Walmart buying the necessary items such as fire starter logs, a foldable saw, and a machete: When camping during the winter, it's always in your best interest insuring surviving outdoors will be a comfortable experience by inspecting you have ALL the survival camping items needed before camping outdoors. Hypothermia can easily kill you while camping outdoors exposing yourself to the severe, winter elements and such extreme drops in temperatures must never ever be taken lightly: Camping is fun but, camping during the winter becomes a serious, survival situation where you must be well-prepared in advance!Over the years, I've purchased several camping items at Walmart such as a shower/changing tent, H2O solar shower heater 5-gallon bags, H2O purification tablets, foldable picnic table and benches, Coleman folding camp stove, portable coolers, Lodge cast iron cookware, foldable camping utensils, a small barbecue kettle for $12.00, solar camp tent lights, thermal blankets, H2Oproof case for protecting my car keys' FOBs and cellphone from getting damaged or wet, camping chairs, minus 25-degree sleeping bag, air mattress, air pump, air mattress repair patch kits, propane heaters, a beach tent, large tarps, mosquito 10 x 10 awning tent, protective rain gear, ice, food, etc.! A few times, I lost one of my winter mittens, my polar fleece jacket's zipper and sleeves ripped, and my winter socks had holes in the toe box: I had no choice but purchasing, replacing these items immediately while on my way camping at PiPi Campground or driving on the way to Minden, Nevada, Montana or somewhere due East. It's always the unexpected circumstances leaving you no choice but, rushing into Walmart buying those dire necessities! DOH! While shopping at this Walmart location, I saw several packages missing items which were part of the products being sold; bold individuals just literally ripped the packages open stealing the items while CCTV cameras are recording every nano-second-they even steal PANEL TVs and rip off women's purses from the shopping carts . . . Ladies: Please use the shopping cart's strap attaching your purse to the shopping cart and please begin using a padlock locking your zipper compartments or buy a Pacsafe bag! Incidentally, a man and a woman had a shopping cart filled with merchandise attempting leaving via the automotive department . . . No wonder there are employees checking customers' receipts before leaving the store: I'm positive shrinkage, inventory control has run amuck which leads me believing the reasons for prices' increasing! As a result, I only will shop at Walmart out of dire necessity, order everything I need online, and avoid witnessing shoplifters performing their dastardly, ill deeds~Augh-Walmart. read more

I have given this location several tries and it's just always the same sh!t show. My first experience was getting tires for my car. They told me they had them only to tell me that they only had three of them once I got there. Getting the 4th tire was a whole other story, but I won't go into that because that was a different Walmart. then they told me they could do my oil change. I leave and then 45 min later I get a call to tell me that they couldn't do my oil change because they didn't have the oil my car requires (2022 Hyundai Tucson). My husband went today (against my advice) and he was told he was being put in the 2pm time slot. he shows up at 2, only to be told they had too many people already. My husband explains what he was told over the phone and the rep tells my husband they don't do appointments and tells him to talk to someone else about it. That rep then tells my husband he doesn't know that that other guy is talking about and can't help him. Went through sandy's line, was trying to use a coupon and i didn't grab the right item according to the Sandy. So i asked if i grabbed the wrong item and if she could help me refused to help me. I was confused why she wouldn't help and then rudely said "look i have a line and i can't help you" mind you i was in line for maybe two mins and there was only two customers next. If you know walmart it's odd to think all of the sudden they care about making people wait in line. So i asked if there's anyone possible available to help me it's (7pm at night) and she told me there's no one who can help me. "Quirky Walmart on the way to Tahoe" Stopped by here to pick up tire chains on the way to Tahoe. Called in advance to see if they had tire chains and the lady who answered the phone said "I don't know. Maybe we do. Maybe we don't. You'll have to see for yourself." Like the hot girl in an engineering class, they knew we had no other option so didn't really seem to care what they said. When we got there it was surprisingly clean and well stocked. Every variety of light canned beer and a whole wall of tire chains. So kudos to them. The bathroom was decorated like the nursery room of a bear cub and was quite charming. They also had ice cream next to the register along with crazy straws. I can get down with that. Protip: Make sure to bring an extra dollar for the crazy straws. read more

I am writing this review for my father. Since I am writing for him and not the establishment itself, I intend to be brief. The Tire Center sold him tires for a small truck. They Tire Center installed said tires. The Tire Center charged him. One tire exploded. Read: EXPLODED (see photo link). This tire did not deflate as a result of a puncture; the entire side wall separated from the tread. My father returned to the Tire Center with the tire. My father was told he did not purchase a the extended coverage, and that regardless of the fact that the tire EXPLODED, there was nothing that could be done. My father is aware of the stipulations that exist in the business world. He is also aware of the the value inherent in the company-consumer relationship. Having been turned away rather than treated as a customer, my father hopes other consumers will not make the same mistake that he did--and by that he means expecting Walmart's Tire Center to understand, empathize, or generally care what happens to you after you leave the confines of the establishment. read more

Well it's a Walmart. it has pretty much everything all of their stores, But not enough sometimes. I've personal experience in the following departments of the store: Pharmacy: Fast refill times, average wait time after dropping prescription: 15-20 mins, Technician always seems to be in rush, and lack the personal small town pharmacy touch (like the Robinson or Grandpa) Gardening: ok selection of seasonal flowers, prices are very similar to Home Depot Fabric: good selection of sewing supplies, but very limited on Fabrics, they usually have same old prints sitting on the shelves for 6 months or so Electronics: People working in electronics seems to me older than me and totally oblivious about the stuff and any knowledge of them. This location is decent... I manage to get help when I need it without too much effort. Wanna know how to get help from someone without getting an attitude? Try asking nicely. It works wonders. The stuff I need is typically in stock, though there are days when a specific item might be sold out. Can't quite come up with a reasonable explanation for shelves of diapers or tissues being empty. One would think that sales forecasting would be aligned with delivery and stocking... but, what do I know? Apparently, I'm not the only one to notice that the battery section is consistently empty, oddly enough. If you need a pack of batteries, you'll likely have better luck finding what you want at a cashier's counter kiosk than in the electronics section. Pharmacy is efficient enough. Produce section isn't quite as robust as that of SafeWay, for example, but it'll suffice for a quick pack of salad or a bit of fruit. read more

Went to Walmart on Saturday to purchase grocery items. I was about to get in line to check out, when they closed all but one register and one under 20 item register. There were approximately 15 people in the line I was in. When I asked the supervisor if they could open at least one more register, she shrugged and rolled her eyes at me. I'm giving this walmart 5 stars solely on the experience i had at checkout. My sister and i went up to the register and was greeted by a friendly smile and great customer service. I made sure to look at the name tag of this employee and her name was Karma ! She was fast pace with a great attitude and she saw that both our hands were full so she helped us load our items back into the cart. The last time I went to Walmart, Monday May 18, 2020, I went in to grab a few items. On the way out, at about 10:30 AM, a young stocky male employee asked me for a receipt. Other people he ignored but he singled ME out. Maybe, I thought later, he chose me because I'm an old woman with a limp and therefore vulnerable. As I passed him, heading to the door, asked me "Do you have a receipt" Me "yes I do, thank you." and I kept walking. Him "You need to show me your receipt" Me "Do you have a search warrant?" By this time I was maybe 20 feet away from him and he was yelling so that EVERYONE around could hear how macho he was. Then he yelled, even LOUDER "YOU CANNOT TAKE THAT MERCHANDISE OUT OF THE STORE UNTIL YOU SHOW ME YOUR RECEIPT!!" So I said "I have a fourth amendment right against searches without a warrant!" and by that time I'm right at the door. So the BULLY threw up his hands dismissing me and growled "WHATEVER!" then turned his back to me. It took me quite a while to stop shaking because until he turned away from me, I truly thought he was going to run at me and take me down. After that I called the store and spoke to a manager. She told me there was NOTHING she could do about it. She claimed I would be safe if I came back, but based upon this experience who would believe her? Ok, so part of me hates shopping at this place just on principle because it's big box, cheap product wal-mart. Another part of me realizes that as a single female living by her onesie and going to school while working full time, I'm just going to have to suck it up because of the prices and, in a pinch, this place is right down the street from work and I can stop on my lunch or on my way to wherever I am going to after work. So with that bias revealed, this is one of the worst wal-marts I have ever been to. One thing that REALLY irks me is that it seems like EVERY SINGLE TIME I go here they are out of something on the shelf that I want to purchase. It has been little things, like the time they were out of the color of stain I wanted (and about five other things), to ridiculous things like out of the brand of paper towels I wanted. I mean really, I should be able to pick up a roll of Bounty at wal-mart at any given moment. They are almost ALWAYS out of my emergency eye liner, favorite glade candle, and brand/shade of hair dye. The other thing that drives me nuts here is the people, both employees and patrons. The patrons leaver their carts in the middle of the aisle, seem incredibly inconvenienced if you should need to walk by them, scuff around at a snail's pace, are generally rude and obnoxious, and may not realize the necessity of bathing regularly. I almost always see some out of control child here, or the parents simply drop them off in front of a gaming console in electronics. The employees themeselves are often dour and unaiding. I had one be down right rude to me when I complained, pretty nicely, about the fact that half the stuff on my wal-mart list wasn't stocked. Most of the checkers move at a ridiculously slow pace sans smiles, so there is almost always a line to wait through... the only friendly people I find are in the garden section; it must be because they're outside the cement cage. I try and go here as little as possible, but every once in a while I forget how bad it is and take a chance. I'm always disappointed. read more

The optical center is the biggest piece of you know what. They dont fix glasses you buy at other Walmart. The tech had me wait half an hour and couldnt help me fix my glasses. They're expensive and dont have an optician. I had to go to Folsom and have them fixed. Other departments seem to be improving like the auto center but still have not got it together. I was waiting in line and this lady come with a cart heaping over. I couldnt believe they actually accepted her. They should have a 10 item limit at the auto center or somethinh cause people are trying to get service done quickly like batteries, oil change or tires and shouldnt have to wait for inconsiderate customers. read more

Electronics center sucks I went in to purchase an PS4 and since you need the employee to unlock the glass case and grab your item you have to ask them to grab it which is impossible because they are never around the desk waited for 40 mins and decided to leave they have an exclusive PS4 I want and nowhere else has it very disappointing to have to leave without the console.
