Got some yummy snacks to take to the wine tasting room next store.

We stopped in Dedrick's to grab some snacks to have at the wine tasting room next room and everything was amazing!! The cheese was so creamy and delicious and everything was incredibly well priced. The person who helped check us out was super friendly and gave us a free cheese sample. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

This little closet of a shop has some fantastic gourmet stuff. Salume, crackers, and cheese cheese galore! They have very knowledgeable staff, and they help you decide what cheeses complement what wine or meats. They even have some good looking sweets too. Everything you need for a classy cocktail hour is right here. They have a fabulous secret garden of a outside area too. It's nicely situated behind the shop, as well as a lovely coffee/gelato shop next door. Thank you Dederick's...for adding a non-snooty touch of class to Hangtown.

Let me start off by saying me and my family love cheese. And being that they have a large selection of cheeses most of which I never heard of, they also have an array of various olive oils, pickled things and emu eggs. The lady at the counter was very helpful and gave us a bunch of samples of cheese. Next time I'm in Placerville I will be back to get my cheese fix.

The light up fairy crown that everyone receives is a very nice touch to the experience! I ordered the salmon ($46), which came on a bed of caramelized mashed potatoes & a side Hobbit salad. The portion of salmon was huge & came out hot & I ate it all! I also ordered an apple dessert crepe ($20) to-go (which surprisingly took a really long time to receive - enough for my friend to eat her own entire crepe) & for what it was, it was just ok.

After seeing countless videos on social media, I was excited to finally visit this unique and whimsical-looking restaurant for Mother's Day lunch. Unfortunately, the experience got off to a disappointing start. When making the reservation, I was never informed that the restaurant would only be offering a limited Mother's Day menu. By the time we were seated and learned there were only five menu options available, with no access to the regular brunch menu, it was too late to make alternative plans. Not wanting to spend the holiday scrambling for another restaurant, we decided to stay and make the best of it. For the price, the food was underwhelming. Most of the dishes were mediocre, and my filet was noticeably overcooked. I had specifically been looking forward to trying items from their brunch menu, so finding out it wasn't available was disappointing. The cocktails were visually appealing but overly sweet and lacked balance. Another disappointment was the seating. Despite making reservations in advance, we were not seated in one of the restaurant's signature enchanted booths. To be fair, there are only three of these themed booths in the entire restaurant. The rest of the dining room felt somewhat dated and cluttered with dusty artificial plants. The overall atmosphere didn't quite match the magical experience portrayed online and on social media. The staff did make an effort to celebrate Mother's Day by giving moms elf ears and light-up tiaras, which was a fun touch and added to the theme. In the end, I left feeling disappointed. The concept and marketing create high expectations, but the food, seating experience, and overall value didn't quite live up to the hype. While the restaurant certainly offers a unique theme, my experience fell short of what I was expecting, and I'm not sure I would be motivated to return.

There's even a petting zoo. $8 to pet baby calves, small ponies, and the such. $4 additional for a feed cup. There is a large grassy lawn to throw down a towel or bring your own chairs, relax. Plus I gotta mention that they have no plumbed restrooms, they have porta toilets and portable handwashing stations. Not a deal breaker for me. Just letting y'all know. Every weekend, they have live music. We went on a night that Nikki Perez was singing. Happy happenstance. Man, she's a talent!! Look her up on IG.
