I come here once in awhile and every single time I say I'm not coming back, this time I mean it. Now at this location you have to pay for beauty products in the beauty section. THERE IS NOT ROOM in this section for any kind of a line with carts...people can't walk by and everyone gets frustrated. I had a $9 bottle of makeup to buy and a few other items. Not surprised at this Walmart only has two stars. Unbelievable wait time unbelievable employees I should say ridiculous I have never been treated so horribly I have waited so long for something so simple. Purchased an item last night a $3.98 oil pan forgot to grab it at the checks stand and came back the next day and they have spent over 30 minutes reviewing the cameras to make sure I didn't grab the oil pan. As it comes to find out I did not grab the pan it is taking over 5 employees in 30 minutes to tell me something I already knew I will not be shopping at this Walmart again I have been in the parking lot now for 45-plus minutes waiting at my husband's truck so nothing gets stolen to have him receive his oil pan which we have the receipt for for being a super Walmart they suck plus employees are uneducated they don't even know what a toilet angle stop is someone who works in their hardware department should know what an angle stop is she referred me to go to the local Home Depot because she had no clue what I was talking about I would have went to the Home Depot if they were opened as once again another idiot employee at the Super Walmart of Orange. Also just so you ladies know you cannot purchase eyelashes after 10 because they're under a lock and key and do you need a manager of the makeup Department do you get to those items that cost only three to four dollars so make sure you have your eyelashes before 10 p.m. or you're going to be eyelashes less. I went in there they weren't helpful at all the lady in the customer service department was difficult I needed to charge my phone to get a reference number she refused to help me get a little bit of charge so I could go on with my day instead all she could say was sorry I can't do that, horrible customer service and that's including the assistant from the manager on duty right now. As my tip read... welcome to Dante's 9th circle of hell! This may even rate worse than that. I dread having to ever stop by this particular walmart. However every now and then, a need arises =\ On those sad days, I head over with my head hung low as I traipse or trudge in... only to hear; Now Shooting People of Walmart on aisle 93! Its not all walmarts that are so bad, I promise. However this one is definitely trashy not klassy... I have seen grazers here, you know the people that pick up a bag of chips open it eat half as they wander around and leave it behind some random shelf somewhere else in the store. I have seen people doing very random strange and not accepted kinda things too. Pro Tip: Yes there is a mcdonalds here, but do yourself a favor and eat at the regular mcdonalds across the street instead, your kids will like it a lot more. The selection of items are always out of what I am specifically looking for. The sizes and or flavors are never what I need, want, or desire. To top that off, some of the workers are not interested in helping the patrons. Not that the patrons want assistance. Next issue is nothing is ever where it is supposed to be. Lets look for shoes in the potato chips, hair spray/gel in the freezer case and ice cream sammies in the clothing area. That may be overstating things, but I saw stuff randomly placed moved or trekked all over the store and left in odd places. Some shelves were entirely empty as well. That may be due to being out of the product or it may be due to it being strewn out around the store. Regardless... this is definitely not my favorite place to go and I avoid it at all costs. read more

Ok, so I dropped by Walmart and bought a few items. This trip resulted in a special interaction with their customer service personnel. Skipping the isssue, these guys were absolutely great to me. So great I wanted to thank them with this Yelp! In addition, most employees in this store will never point you anywhere. Ask them "where is such and such" and they will almost always walk you to the aisle and item that you're looking for. They are absolutely spectacular! I give this Walmart 5 Stars! read more

This review is for the Pharmacy. key word: PHARMACY So my good Dr. B gives me a script for Lexapro for anxiety, and I run my crazy self right over to Walmart to fill it, along with my other regular meds. I see Tuan at the window, he pulls up my info, and notes the new Lexapro. He says, "Gee, you know this stuff is pretty expensive". How expensive? $109/month expensive. Eek. There's a whole new anxiety attack right there. Can't afford that; guess I'll have to stay nutz. So Tuan says, "Let me call Dr. B. There's something called Celexa that is very very close, and it's on our $4/month list". He does, it gets changed, I save $105/month. Could ya kiss this guy?!? I could. Have you ever noticed the difference between the crowd of Walmart and Target shoppers? It's night and day! The most simple way for me to describe it is: Walmart = The Outlet of Orange (formerly The Block) crowd Target = South Coast Plaza Pros: 1. Stays open 24 hours. So whenever I need a midnight run for a snack (they have a produce and meat section which I have not dared attempted to try), or any emergency household necessities. 2. Cheap Cons: 1. Crowd/People. You know what I am talking about. I am not going to describe it here, but sometimes I feel like it's literally a zoo here. If you don't know what I am talking about go to The People of Walmart site http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/ I am not saying everyone here looks like that, but you will get plenty of sightings. I understand a lot of people here are uneducated, but at the same time, does it give them the right to be rude, obnoxious and really STUPID? 2. Lines are always incredibly long, and you always get stuck with idiotic people who holds up the line even longer. And every single time I'd ask myself, "Why the hell did I bother coming here again?" (This is why I only go late at night to avoid the huge crowds.) 3. Quality: Most of the products that are not name brand stuff are very cheap and of low grade and quality. For some reason, Walmart always attracts the GHETTO. This Walmart is located in a nice area by the Orange HIlls/Villa Park, so it's not in the ghetto. However, this and EVERY Walmart is ghetto. Directly across the street, there is Target where it's a repellent to Walmart shoppers because the crowd is entirely different! I prefer and only go to Target during the day. 3.75 stars. Yup...Wal-Mart is actually getting a high rating...all because of their employees. This is the FIRST Wal-mart I've been to where people actually looked happy to be working there. I can't say much about the customers cause they were annoying the hell out of me by blocking all the aisles and just stopping in the middle of nowhere for no apparent reason. But I saw most of the employees smiling and laughing and calling to each other. The icing on the Wal-mart experience was the happiest elderly cashier I've ever seen. She was grinning from ear to ear as we approached her register. She sent us on our way with a smile and "Have a good evening" Then!!....our last cheerful encounter before we walked through the exit door was the greeter who winked, tilted her head to the side a bit, smiled and did the cutest wave as we walked by her. read more

Ahh... nothing like entering a Walmart...right smack in front of the police arresting 3 adults caught shoplifting! Classy!!!! So I pulled a neck muscle at work when looking too fast to the left...so during my lunch break, I needed to find somewhere to get some aspirin. I was out on field training, so my tom tom brought me to this spot. The place was like a kids' room: everything strewn all over the place: shoes on top of bags of chips, shampoo on top of dvds on top of shoes, etc. You get the idea. Thank goodness I'm a quick shopper, got my two pain killers and made a b-line to check out. Checking out wasn't horrendous: caught a free register as she was "about to close out." Of course, how convenient. I rarely go to Walmarts... too ghetto of an atmosphere and this location just reiterated that notion. Yea, without this emergency, I'd rather go somewhere else for day to day items. Oh, and I love all the 30 mins parking spots...that are all taken for people clearly staying past 30 mins. The Village Walmart located at 2300 N. Tustin Ave, Orange, CA. Apparently corporate decision makers have opted to reconfigure this store and cause consumer problems in doing so. Here are the problems they have created: The main isle is packed 7 feet high with ladies hair color product right in front of the food isles. This creates a traffic jam of people and carts. The produce and meat sections have been diminished to a point that it makes no sense to shop here. The store manager told that they are required to adjust to the change. Other products that should be on the same isle are now elsewhere and with no though to a organized stocking methodology. Food items are being placed in random locations and isle ways are jam packed with unrelated products. This Walmart store has been in reconfigure mode for the past 3 weeks and all that has been accomplished is to make shopping here a bad experience. I seriously doubt the decision makers shop here and the should. read more

I don't mind Wal Mart, but this one is so cluttered and disorganized, its hard to find things you need. Also their selection isn't as big as other Wal Mart's in the area such as la habra, brea or buena park. Its not bad, but it does the job. I loathe this place. The only redeeming thing about it is that it has a McDonalds so I can eat chicken nuggets while I shop. Walmarts are too big and confusing. This one especially. Could there be any more fluorescent lighting?! The layout makes no sense, the shelves are too high, and you feel like an ant because its too tall. And there are wayyy too many people. This Walmart is what retail nightmares are made of... THANKFULLY, I have not had to come here for the last couple of years, but for a long period of time, I was here every week, it seemed. The only good things about this Walmart: 24 hours and McDonald's. Most of the time, they were out of stock on essentials for make-up, toothpaste, shampoo.. etc. Then, I'd go back a few days later, and they were still out of stock! Really? yes! And I think they must have something against having more lanes open at check-out. After midnight, only the Express Check-Out lanes are open and they get LONG AS* LINES! Walmart usually depresses me because it reminds me of the wealth gap in the U.S. Take for instance the homeless-looking man in line ahead of me who insisted on returning an opened item without a receipt. What impressed me this time was the quality of customer service. The cashier treated this man with respect and patience despite his hostile remarks. Similarly, the woman supervising the technology section was very friendly when I asked about iPad availability. She offered information about when their last sale was, when the next one would likely be, and what accessories they also carried. If you're lucky enough to find a Walmart employee in the store, they are surprisingly pleasant to interact with. Tip: go to the more expensive sections and you're more likely to find help. read more

This is the worst Walmart store for any kind of customer service. I had went in to send my daughter some money as i have many times in the past. There was one line for service. A woman in front of me was waiting for a return. I was sending money. Pam was the customer service person at the counter doing financial services. Pam was finishing with a customer she asked another person to come up that just walked up ignoring me. I told Pam i had been waiting for 10 minutes and she said there was one line for financial. What???? I have been going to this store for many months and other stores with 1 line. I explained again I had been waiting for over 10 minutes. She said she was already waiting on the other person she had just asked to come up. Pam had no customer service skills and should have asked if any of the people in line if they were waiting for financial. Pam should be retrained or fired for her poor service. Pam and her actions are a direct reflection of the service that this Walmart provides its customers. Pam's complete failure to provide fair and complete service to customers who come in and patiently wait in line is unacceptable to say the least. I cannot imagine how many other people Pam has ignored in this manner. The manager should look into how Pam treats waiting customers. Pam is a poor excuse for a service person. The management is poor as well for allowing employees like Pam to provide this quality of service to waiting customers. Regardless of how Pam interpreted the line, once a customer bring up the issue of who is in line Pam should have quickly corrected the situation. I would not feel comfortable to return to this store. I would rather drive a few more miles out of my way to visit a Walmart that shows great customer service to their valued customers. I would tell everyone to go anywhere else to shop or use financial services than this Walmart. What a bad Walmart when they cannot even properly demonstrate quality service that everyone should expect. Come on even Walmart should show quality service... You may scoff at the rating, but I am rating this *as a Wal-Mart*, versus other Wal-Marts. Yes, their employment policies suck. Yes, they are capitalist pigs intent on ruining small businesses. Yes, Sam would be rolling over in his grave if he knew how much of their goods are Chinese instead of American. Etc. I'm not taking any of that into consideration, only taking our experiences as-is. Firstly, thanks to Arnold E, we knew this Wal-Mart is 24 hour. And trust me, if you're going to go to Wal-Mart, it's better to go at 3 or 4am and avoid the roiling masses. We actually got there around 6:45am, and it was still pretty empty. Well, empty of customers; there were stockers and carts all over the damn place, making almost every aisle blocked. The size is huge, and they had more mensware than others we've visited, with some great deals. Quality? Nah. But for six bucks for shorts, I'm not expecting too much. Otherwise, a lot of the store was confusing...we couldn't find oven cleaner, not in the household cleaners, not in the kitchen stuff. The food section is not as nice as the Westminster store (or how nice it used to be; it's gone way downhill there as well). Our check-out lady, Nicole, was very nice, though, nicer than anyone I've ever had at a Wal-Mart. And in the shoe section one of the stockers offered to help us find something, and when they didn't carry what we wanted was apologetic and explained that they don't carry many wide-width shoes anymore, useful info for the future. I've never had a Wal-Mart employee actually offer to help. Most seem pissed if you ask them for help, but she came up to us. 24 hour Wal*Mart location. Very convenient if you're like me and a graphic design major stuck in the computer labs at Chapman until the wee hours of the morning. Now that most Ralph's stores close at 1 am, this is the perfect late-night stop for that Red Bull, some munchies, and some rubber cement or pencils or photo paper or what have you. Yes, there are creepy people here most of the time. Yes, parking is terrible (Although I find that I avoid sucky parking by parking BEHIND the Wal*Mart-- less congested, usually I get front row, and there's a well-lit path to the store! And it doesn't smell as funky. 5 pairs of socks for $4.88? Haribo Gummi Bears for $0.93? Movies from $5.50? The prices can't be beat. One time for school I was designing a print ad campaign for Planned Parenthood, and for it I wanted to have photos of a pregnancy test and condoms. Well, I had to buy both of them. I bought them here for cheaposity. The old lady at the counter (oh the horror!) ran the pregnancy test over the de-magnetizer, but not the condoms. The alarm went off at the door. The old man at the door checked by bag. Only Wal*Mart could make a dark-skinned girl visibly blush! SO EMBARRASSED. This has to be the most pathetic "super" WalMart I've ever set foot in. I'm used to a Super Walmart having at least a full grocery section that extends the length of the store and has everything a regular grocery store woud carry. Not so this Walmart. So you'll have to deal with the WalMart parking lot and then not even have your shopping list finished. On my second trip here, I brought my partner. About halfway through our shopping I heard him grumbling about people clogging the aisles. By the end of our visit, we were both ready to be out of there. I recall saying to him "I could live the rest of my life without ever setting foot in here, and I'd never miss it." Basically, it's dirty, has a poor selection, and is in a not so great part of town. The prices ARE good on what food they have, but if you put a price your time and peace of mind, it's just not worth the visit. Try another Super Walmart or a Super Target instead. read more

Today I happened to need a power cable for my iPhone, and I figured this would be a quick stop; in, out, back on the road. I got to this "24-hour" Walmart at about 6:45 am. They were closed. They don't open until 7:00am. Y'know. Because they're a 24 hour store and all. As it turns out, they've changed over from a 24 hour store to a non-24 hour store months ago. Yelp, unfortunately, hasn't updated this page to reflect that. I wait until the store opens, then proceed to go look for a power cord. I can't find any employees, but that's not surprising; this is Walmart. I FINALLY find a guy back in electronics and ask if he can help - He interrupts me to tell me that he's off work. He's wearing a Walmart vest with his name tag on it. He doesn't even listen to me long enough to find out that the question I had is "Can you point me to where iPhone power cords are (which, as it turns out, were about a half an aisle away). So this review is less about Walmart (they'll have what you're looking for ... you just have to look for it) than it is about Walmart's customer service training that they give their employees. If you're wearing the badge, and the store vest, then you're an employee. You're representing the company. If a customer asks you a question when you're wearing the store vest and/or your name badge, then you get the honor of either saying (1) it's over there; or (2) I'll find someone who can help you. You never EVER say "I'm off work" when you're wearing the uniform. You're off work when you take off the vest or remove the name tag. I received crappy customer service from Walmart. Negative 5 stars. Worst ever!! This is the absolute WORST Walmart I've ever been in. I am very surprised that it's in the city of Orange. Came here tonight to return an item with my bf, and while we were here, we decided to pick up a few household items. Our walk around the store was horrendous. Everything I looked at was either busted up, broken, filthy, or rotten, and I mean that literally. I have never in my life seen such a display of pure laziness by the staff and management of an establishment. There were obvious return items on display (for sale at the regular price), that were covered in masking tape, there was rotten fruit (complete with gnats) hanging out in the fruit section, and just a total disregard for customer service by the employees. After we got our few things ( in a hurry), we waited in line for 30 mins (for real) while the cashier was trying to figure out how to give a guy cash back on his credit card. Great prices, and everything you need under one roof! What more can you ask for right?? How about being able to pay and get out with some efficiency. This, and all Walmarts would get better rating if they hired more people to run the check stands! I mean, whats the freaken point in having 20-30 check stands only to have %25 of them open (5-7) Message to WALMART - Your a multi billion dollar industry, stop being greedy and hire more freaken people to help run your stores! The only thing that keeps me from shopping here for everything I need, is the fact that I can go to Target and get 2 items and be out in less then 5min. I shop at Walmart for the cheap prices...it's not as clean as the "other leading discount store", but the prices are good. I had to buy baseball equipment for my son, as we got lots of nice equipment for cheap. Even a nice Rawlings fielder's glove for $12.00. It's funny that people criticize Walmart but still shop there! I like Walmart, I like the prices and convenient locations. read more

The Walmart in Orange was my go-to location for years and years before there were stores built in Irvine and Foothill Ranch. The one thing that makes this location unique that the others do not have is... a McDonald's inside of the store. The other thing about this store is if you're looking for a full blown out grocery store experience, you'll probably be disappointed. Now a days, if I can't find what I'm looking for at my local store on Barranca, I can hop on the interweb and check the inventory for just about anything, make a purchase online and pick it up, no sweat. I was looking for the new Jeff Lynne's ELO release, and sure, I could of purchased a digital download, but there is something about buying a CD to me that means something. The last time I shopped here was on black friday and I was surprised to find that the store didn't open until 7AM, while others opened at 6AM. read more
