    Variety of tacos

Quite nice restaurant with a touch of Mexican style. Guacamole was good and the tacos - carne asada and quesabirria - were tasty although the tortilla was just a bit thick to my taste. Very friendly service.

Breakfast sandwich was not on the menu but they made them anyway for us!

Decided to go here for a Family birthday brunch as we saw good reviews and they had live entertainment on a Saturday Morning. They have the usual fare with some Mexican inspired additions! All the food was good, service was good, even with a relatively new person as our waiter and they were accommodating (we had a 6 month old with us). Drinks were also a hit, with Bloody Mary's and a Great Expresso Martini were well done....

We came across this restaurant by chance on a Sunday afternoon. From the outside you are not sure what to expect as it's located with inline retail shops. We were seated immediately in the patio which was very clean . Our waitress was very helpful with her recommendations. We ordered the prickly pear and orange blood margaritas. Both drinks were made just as expected. For our meals I ordered two grilled fish tacos and my husband ordered a carne asada burrito. We both thought the portions were generous ,filling and delicious. This will be one of our go to's for sure!

This restaurant has recently changed owners and updated its name from Urban Margarita to Urban Agave. We decided to drop in and see what it was like now. The inside still looks the same, clean, but not very distinctive. A fair amount of the menu still remains, but it does seem that some prices have increased and new dishes were added. Our server was very attentive and friendly, she helped me secure a nice Mocktail. It was fairly expensive though, considering that it was happy hour and regular margaritas were much cheaper. We enjoyed the chips, salsa, and the elote cheese dip! The crispy cauliflower was fine, the batter was pretty flavorless. The urban burrito was fairly mediocre. All in all, I think we would come back to do happy hour, but I'm unsure that we would do a full meal.

I was in the mood for something new and I found this place here in Yelp. The place is in a big Bussines center not a stand a line location. It is a little hard to find because there is not a big sign but pretty much they are right behind the Burger King. There is a lot of parking spots, lots of table seating inside or outside. Big TV screens for watching a game. The inside is kind a dark, kind of like a pub/bar. The service is fast and our server was attentive and helpful. The food was good. I got a stuffed poblano pepper it's was good but I like Chile rellenos mostly so this was something different. The rice could used some lime and more salt the corn was good. Oh but the bread pudding is really GOOD!

First night in town and this summer did not disappoint! I used Yelp to find a place that was open late, had good reviews of their food and was okay for kids. Well mine are teenagers and look like men but anyway.... It was a Friday evening around 830-9pm and we walked in to the hostess area which is also the bar entrance. The bar tables were full and the lively atmosphere and music were a great welcome to Glendale! We decided to sit a table in the restaurant area but with the open design concept, we could still take advantage of the bar music and vibe. So fun! We ordered the puffy carnitas tacos, quesobirria tacos, the stuffed poblanos and for starters the jalapeño poppers and chips and dip x3. Every single dish was outstanding! My son didn't like the carnitas but I think his palate is just a little different because my husband and I ended up eating them and they were amazing. Jalapeño poppers were spicyyyyyyy but 10/10 for sure. Probably the best I've ever had. Hey! They even had a late happy hour menu and a Yelp check in deal for 10% off I believe. Great restaurant choice all around!

Jenelle was an extremely good, efficient and friendly server! We changed it up and had Hatch Chile Nachos and their shrimp salad. Perfect combination of yummy crunchy and healthy good. Shrimp had a great char taste and I like when salads are a mix of healthy romaine lettuce and crunchy iceberg. As others said, the nachos are sooo good. So... happen to notice that the name changed. New owners will be adding their touch and staff will remain.

Do yourself a favor and get out to this joint!! This place is delish!! Drinks are pricey, but the food is amazing!! Their Guacamole is definitely top 3 for me... love it!! And try the Lamb Shank!! OMG!! Amazeballs!! Oh yeah.... The pork belly!!!!

    Yum!!

You have to pay for chips and salsa here. They do have happy hour which chips and salsa is like $1. Also all appetizers are $2 off. We got the nachos and omg it's huge! They are good. The street tacos are not great. We got carne asada and it wasn't that good. Also I got chicken taco and it was okay.

Coupon they refused which states URBAN MARGARITA. That is the name of your place, right? ..cuz I got it from checking in on your Yelp page.

meh. I was looking for a new place to try for take out and Urban Margarita came up on Yelp. They're located off 67th x Beardsley in Glendale. Lots of parking. Big signage out front so it's easy to see. Walked in and we were greeted immediately. We already looked at the menu ahead of time so we knew what we wanted. I checked in on Yelp when I got there and Yelp gave me a digital 10% off coupon. Showed the dude the coupon and I asked if I could use it. He made some kind of a bizarre groaning noise. Couldn't make out any words. Sounded like a cross between wet sneakers on a gym floor and the mating call of a saltwater crocodile. Very strange. I ordered shrimp tostadas. There were two shrimp. That was it. It was smothered in some creamy sauce that was similar to sour cream, ketchup, lime juice and thousand island dressing. I only ate one. Couldn't manage to choke down the other one. Their tostadas were mainly this sauce, gigantic slices of avocado and a shrimp. I was unimpressed. My wife got the tacos. There was a teaspoon of meat on all of them. As I suspected, they didn't honor the 10% off Yelp coupon I was given. It was $41 for both of us for two crappy entrees. We threw most of it away and went to Tacos Calafia where we should've went to begin with. High prices. Crappy food. And bizarre noises coming from their employees. meh. 2 stars 'cuz we were greeted right away, but other than that - the experience is one I'd just soon forget. Pretty lame way to start the weekend.

    Blood orange brioche bread pudding

What a great treat. A restaurant that doesn't give you your expected appearance of plate when it comes to Mexican food. You have enchiladas under sauce that are layered. You have cheese Crisp with four different dipping sauces and that's just the start of the adventure in this restaurant. Try blood orange brioche bread pudding for dessert and it will absolutely rock your world. They make a poblano fettuccine alfredo that if you add some shrimp or chicken to it it is unbelievable keeps that Italian Alfredo with this southwest kick that is amazing. The staff is unbelutably great. When my other half dropped your napkin on the floor by accident immediately a staffer came by not only picked up the napkin but got her a replacement and replacement silverware. That is absolutely out of this world service. The manager is a really great guy too and it was an overall one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Totally recommend this place it's at the Loop 101 and 67th Avenue on the south east corner it's in a shopping center / strip mall. Do not avoid or miss or whatever Urban Agave because you absolutely regret it for the rest of your life. You want something really different when it comes to Mexican food and Southwest Cuisine this is it.

Very dry but the meat had good flavor.

We were seated immediately at a booth table and brought complimentary chips and salsa. These are good fresh, thin chips and smoky mild-hot tasty salsa. Branden brought us a second round of chips and salsa as well. We ordered: - Coca-Cola fountain drink - Coke Zero fountain drink - SHORT RIB MACHACA ENCHILADAS 5/5 - Highly recommend - caramelized peppers & onions, yellow cheese, ancho chile sauce, cilantro. Served with sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, & choice of beans. Classic enchilada sauce like how I remember, delicious tender shredded marinated short rib inside. - CARNE ASADA FAJITAS 4/5 (sweet soy salsa verde) served with blistered peppers, charred onions, jack cheese, guacamole, salsa fresca, sour cream, choice of beans & tortillas. Hubs said these were good. He did want rice with his meal so he ended up taking my rice which I didn't want. As you can see in the pics, the tortillas are scratch made in-house as well as the sauces and sides. Bar seating, booth and table, and patio seating available. There were six of us, and we were quoted a 45-minute wait, which seemed reasonable at first. However, their system for managing waits is honestly pretty frustrating. There are no reservations, no text notifications, and no call when your table is ready. You're basically left hovering and guessing. We did make it back in time for our table, but a simple "hey, your table's ready" system would go a long way in making guests feel valued. We were seated around 8 PM after waiting and taken to a large corner booth in the back. Unfortunately, there were still two people from the previous party lingering at the table even after they had paid and the rest of their group had already left. I understand finishing drinks, but it felt inconsiderate given how busy the restaurant was and how long people were waiting. After being seated, it took about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table, and even then, not everyone in our group was acknowledged right away. Things didn't improve much from there. It took over 30 minutes just to place our food order. From what we could tell, there was only one server handling the entire restaurant. I can definitely empathize with how difficult that must be, but at the same time, when we first arrived, she appeared to be standing near the entrance rather than actively managing tables, which added to the confusion. When the food finally came out, it was very staggered instead of arriving together. I ordered the Taos tenderloin with green beans and fries. The sides were actually great--probably the highlight of the meal--but the steak itself was disappointing. I ordered it medium, but it came out with an overly charred, almost burnt crust that completely overpowered the flavor. The whole dish really needed basic seasoning like salt and pepper to bring it together. The atmosphere also didn't do much to help the experience. It's extremely dark inside--so much so that it's hard to see your food--and the space feels cramped. The layout is also pretty strange and honestly a bit off-putting. There's what appears to be a kitchen area right behind the bar, and then a full kitchen in the back--but what really stood out was the lack of separation near the restroom area. There's no proper door between the kitchen and the bathroom space, and from a small step down off the dining area, you can basically see straight into the kitchen if you wanted to. It just didn't feel very private or well thought out. Another thing that stood out was the portion sizes. While some people might see that as a positive, they were honestly too large--especially for those of us traveling who couldn't take leftovers with us. Slightly smaller portions might not only reduce waste but also help the kitchen keep up with demand and improve overall service speed. Overall, this ended up being more of a one-time experience than a place we'd return to. Between the disorganized wait system, slow and inconsistent service, and underwhelming food, it just didn't live up to the expectations we had going in.

Literally. That's it. I think one of them had a little guacamole at the bottom of the taco to keep the tuna from falling out. Completely underwhelming flavor profile and a perfect portion size...if you're on Ozempic. I also ordered the individual carnitas and chicken tacos. $6 each, also during happy hour. The chicken and carnitas tasted like they had been dredged in salt over and over again. Zero flavor dimension--just salt. There was an attempt at creativity; they added some orange segments to the carnitas taco. But the predominant flavor of salt and odd white sauce ruined it. Even though it was complimentary, I have to mention the chips and salsa. I give them credit for serving the chips warm and not over salting them; they were really good. But the salsa was bad. It tasted like ketchup with diced tomatoes, onions and jalapeños mixed in. While I was eating, I overheard two different women at the bar describe the food as "not bad". Not a ringing endorsement and frankly, it's usually a polite way of saying "this isn't good." For me, this place isn't worth the money. I can think of plenty of other Mexican places that offer better quality dishes at more reasonable price points. I recommend going elsewhere.

We first ordered drinks my wife got a traditional margarita and I got the jalapeño pineapple margarita. I mean there were ok but definitely have had better. The cups they served it in is not the appropriate cups for this drink. Along with the drinks came the chips and salsa which were surprisingly good. Now the food. My wife ordered the chimichanga with red sauce and i ordered shrimp tacos. Nearly 35 mins later and 2 basket of chips gone our food arrives. Her chimichanga was covered in green sauce not red like she ordered and my shrimp tacos were inedible. The shrimp was sooo hard I literally couldn't pull them apart and the crunch I heard while I tried to chew it (which is a clear indicator that it's way over cooked) grossed me out. When my waiter finally came around, after stopping at the table behind us and the 2 tables in front of us, I let him know how bad these tacos were. He took my food and exchanged it for birria tacos. I didn't have to wait long before my tacos arrived. Again they were good but not great. So as we finished our dinner the waiter was nowhere to be found. 11 mins later he comes outside where we were sitting didn't acknowledge us and once again went to the other tables around us. He does whatever it is the other patrons asked him to and goes back inside. When he comes back out he had a tray of drinks dropping them off at the previous tables mentioned and then once again heads back inside. Luckily I grabbed his attention prior him to completing going inside and asked him for a box. Now I was in the food business for almost 16 years and managed servers in those 16 years. Most servers understand when a patron asks for a box to go that usually means they're done and ready to go, so naturally you'd think as he's retrieving the box you'd bring the check. Nope not Donte he brings the box and walks away. Comes back later to pick up the dirty dishes and continues to walk away again, I had to tell him we wanted our check. With all the choices in downtown for food and drink id avoid this one for sure. To think we were up in the air between this place and Arrogant Butcher. Clearly we chose wrong. And one more thing when food gets returned for whatever reason a manager should make an appearance. Nope not here

I split time between Phoenix and Rhode Island, so every time I'm back here, this place ends up on the list. This trip, I brought the extended family along, first timers across the board. No hesitation. They got it immediately. We always start with the Machaca pizza. That's non-negotiable. It comes out hot, loaded with flavor, and just enough heat to wake you up without knocking you over. It sets the tone. You know exactly what kind of meal you're about to have. Last night I went with the Relleno Dinner with the garlic pulled pork, and it was ridiculous in the best way. Rich, smoky, layered with flavor, and yes, it brings heat. Not gimmicky heat. Not "let's see how spicy we can make this" heat. Real, intentional, built-into-the-dish kind of heat. The kind that actually belongs there. And that brings me to the complaints I keep seeing. "It's too hot." Come on. Their slogan is literally "Some Like It Hot." That's the whole point. You don't walk into a place like this expecting mild salsa and a side of bottled hot sauce. This is not that. This is bold, unapologetic, New Mexican-style cooking that doesn't water itself down for anyone. If you want toned-down, there are a hundred other places in Phoenix happy to oblige. Service has always been on point. Friendly, efficient, and comfortable. Not stiff, not rehearsed. Just people who know what they're doing and keep things moving without making it feel rushed. What I respect most is the consistency. I've worked my way through most of the menu over the years, and I've never walked out disappointed. Not once. That's rare. The place has a personality, and it doesn't bend. It knows exactly what it is, and it executes it every single time. I highly recommend it. And if history holds, I'll probably be back within the week.

I struggled to find something not flagged as "spicy" there's not a lunch menu - just the standard offerings. I settled on the soft taco combo, one chicken, one beef. Generously filled, but the liquid on the plate basically softened the tacos so much it was a fork meal. The beef was ok, but really little to no flavor. The chicken? I don't know actually, by the time I got to the second taco - it had turned into beef also. Dang. Oh well. The beans? Great soft texture, but no flavor. Same with the rice.

A good friend who lives locally took my son and me there while we were in town for spring league baseball, and from the moment we walked in, you could feel this wasn't a typical tourist spot. The atmosphere is pure Southwest--warm, inviting, and full of character. What really stood out was the service. The staff was knowledgeable, flexible, and genuinely focused on making sure we had exactly what we wanted. That level of attention elevated the entire experience. And the food? Outstanding. My son hasn't stopped talking about it since--we were both saying on the way out that we have to come back. It's a little off the beaten path, but that's exactly what makes it special. If you're looking for a true taste of Scottsdale with an elevated, memorable dining experience, Richardson's is absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back--next time with the whole family.

Our guest loved everything put down in front of them. The best part of visiting Richardsons (aside from the food) is the eclectic menu. If you are looking for Taco Bell standards this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a great atmosphere with a very unique take on Mexican then Richardsons should be your first choice in Phoenix. Don't let the under 4 Yelp rating fool you, this is one of the best places in Phoenix and i cannot recommend it high enough! "FIMP" Food is my Passion
