Amazing experience and taste! The moment you walk in feels very much a modern Japanese ramen house. More specifically the one in Tokyo. Ambiance is great, you really do get a feel for Japan when you walk in. Food is good for the amount you pay. On this day, was only able to get enoki chips and calamari since they don't serve sushi during the weekdays. My face was as perplexed as the stranger who sat next to me when he tried to order sushi off their current menu, only to be met with a can of disappointment. They need to have weekday menu since don't serve sushi AND they literally never seem to have Tsukemen available (2nd visit now). Service is better than most places; however, seating arrangements are odd to say the least. If you're lucky you'll get your own table but most of the time you have to sit next to or across from strangers. Then try not to awkwardly look at each other or play footsie by accident. First of all I want to start out by saying that the food was delicious! Loved the broth and the pork belly was so tender! Not overly spicy but very flavorful. Also ordered the nori calamari which I told was an exclusive menu item to this location and it was super delicious! But be warned, it's all legs. Very crispy and absolutely loved the lemon and seafood aioli it came with! Im satisfied with the service we received. The server helped answer any questions because I am the kind of person to ask for recommendations at new restaurants. The food also came out really quick and piping hot. Just wanted to point out since I've seen other reviews say otherwise. The restaurant itself is really cute but pretty small. They open at noon, so we made sure to get here a little early on a Tuesday to avoid the wait. This location is sized right in between the Mesa and Phoenix spots, not tiny and crowded like Mesa, but not as big as Phoenix. The interior is bright and modern, and they have a cool round table in the middle of the restaurant. There's also a sushi bar and an outdoor seating area. Our server was nice and helpful. We ordered my favorite Aji Fish Tempura, Garlic Edamame, Classic Ramen with duck on the side, and their Matcha Latte Pudding. Everything was just as amazing as at the other locations, the broth is rich, the duck is tender, and the Aji Fish Tempura, just perfect! The ramen was good, but coming from L.A (I know I know they're not big fans of L.A folk out here lol)....Ive gone to some of the best ramen spots and none were as pricy as this place. I think the only thing that is off putting is the price. The ramen was tasty as was the calamari. The restaurant is super cute, and im sure it's cute at night too. Tried out Mensho Ramen for the first time and got the Classic and Signature ramen bowls, plus the fried calamari. The calamari was really good, super crunchy and flavorful, probably my favorite thing I ordered. The ramen was creamy and rich, kind of like what you'd get in Japan. You can tell the noodles are made in-house they have that nice chewy texture. Flavor-wise, it was decent, but honestly, I've had better ramen in Phoenix for less. The prices here are definitely on the higher side. Service was good though. The staff explains what you're getting, which is nice, and they're attentive without being overly friendly (which I actually prefer). The place itself is really pretty, dim lighting, calm, quiet vibe perfect for a chill night out. Overall, not bad at all, but not amazing either. We ordered two appetizers and two ramen bowls. The Enoki Chips were really good -- I just wish they came with some kind of dipping sauce instead of salt (personal preference). The A5 Wagyu Negi Nigiri was also delicious and fresh, though the rice had a bit too much vinegar. For ramen, we ordered the Classic and the Tokyo Chaccha. I loved the Tokyo ramen -- the broth was rich and creamy. My husband had the Classic and said it tasted a bit sour, probably from the bamboo, but he still enjoyed it overall. The prices are definitely on the higher side. Our bill came out to about $100 after tip, and I felt the portions were a bit small for the price. I'd come back for a special occasion, but probably not just for the ramen since there are plenty of places in the Valley with better prices and portions. We got their GKO ramen, daikon salad, and takoyaki (not pictured). The ramen was delicious, but I did not enjoy the chicken that was in it. The 5 different garlics in it were so yummy! The daikon salad was light and refreshing. It was nice going from the creamy ramen to a refreshing salad. The takoyaki is something I would pass on. We get takoyaki whenever it is on a menu, and I would say this one did not stand out. The inside is decorated so nicely and the ambiance is nice. Visited last weekend right at opening and was greeted at the entrance by the hostess and the rest of the employees. The hostess decided to sit us right underneath the speakers of the restaurant and not sure whose idea it was to play music was ridiculous amount of bass, but we had family members that were uncomfortable with the audio. We reached out to the hostess to relocate outside, mind you, they just opened and it was completely empty. The hostess decided to give us this conceited look of disgust and asked why we wanted to move. We clearly explained why and the attitude she gave us was just disgusting. What is with the attitude? The place wasn't even busy and completely empty and if we wanted to move outside, it was our choice. If you don't want to be at your job, then don't. Besides that, our server and the food was good, so decided not to give it one star. To the hostess that gave us attitude, you are making your employer look bad. Get another job. read more

We asked if they had plastic cups with lids, and she said no that they just had straws. She brought her a straw but no drink. Made no sense. Pricing was outrageous for what it is.
