When you walk in, you scan a QR code at your table to place your order, if you need help they are there to help you, and your meal is brought to your table in a boiling hot pot that continues to cook your food. I ordered the vegetable hot pot with lamb on the side, my daughter got the kimchi dumpling hot pot, and her friend ordered the seafood hot pot. Everything came out steaming hot, fresh, and full of flavor. If you need more broth, they're happy to bring you extra. The atmosphere is calm, and relaxing, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. They also serve complimentary green tea, which was such a nice touch. It reminded me of going to Chinese restaurants as a kid when they would bring hot tea to the table. It brought back wonderful memories. The regular size was more than enough food for me, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, kind, and quick to prepare and serve everything. I was craving hot pot, but there was not many options never our hotel. I've seen Tasty Pot in many areas, but I have never been. There was a long wait. When we got a table, we ordered using the QR code. It took a bit of time for our food and drinks to come. But the spot was pretty busy. Only saw the server when they brought our drink and our food, and when we ordered additional drinks. This is not like the typically hot pot spots where they bring you the broth and meats/veggies separately to cook yourself. You pick a "soup" premade and it comes to your table in a hot clay pot. It's a bit heavier broth. Definitely not what my taste buds enjoy. However my husband liked it. We love tasty pot, it's always soothing and flavorful. It comes with a good variety of protein, seafood, veggies, and carbs. They play upbeat throwback music and the place is clean. The only thing is that the service at this location is kinda bad, it's hard to flag down servers and they look overworked and understaffed. Went here tonight with a gf of mine. I have never experienced a hot pot. I got some Gyoza to start they were very tasty. They did not come with any sauces. But they were on their own very good. I got the Japanese Miso Hot soup and added instant noodles and lobster balls. Mild weather on the spice. It was still pretty spicy. Cleared my nostrils right up My friend got the beef hot soup also mild and mine was a lot more spicy lol. But said it was very good I also got a Thai Milk tea with 25% sugar which was nice. You walk in get seated. Then that is really the last time you talk to someone. You scan the menu and order from your phone. I think this cuts out any confusion. You then have someone bring your food and drinks to your table. They do walk around and offer your more broth as there is a lot of food in those bowls. And when you add the dry noodles you need more broth. I think that is cool. They do drop off the check midway through. I will admit when you look at all the ingredients in the pot, it can be intimidating but just be open minded and go for it! It gives you the opportunity to try new things. My go to is the Thai flavor add beef slices. They don't skimp you on the meat either. You can also request more broth if you get low. Prices are kind of high so be prepared. Came here on a Sunday for lunch. It was decently busy, with a total of four servers. The waitresses seemed a bit all over the place, but the guy with glasses was quick and efficient on his own. Two of the waitresses weren't very friendly -- a bit rude and not very attentive. Last time, I ordered the house special (stinky tofu) pot and was really disappointed. There aren't that much seating inside but good thing it wasn't busy so there wasn't a wait. It wasn't too loud so that was nice. Got the mild beef hot pot ($20.99) and thought it was just ok. A little pricey and it would have been better if there was more beef. Broth is a tad bland and not as flavorful as I would like it to be. I would say it was 7/10 Thai Flavor Hot Soup ($23.99) was mediocre. I added soft tofu, dumplings, and ramen noodles on the side, but honestly none of it was necessary as the actual portion of the hot pot was so filling, I couldn't finish the add ons. Their appetizer dumplings are so crispy and delicious too. You can choose between no spice to lots of spice. The beef hot pot at medium spice was still fairly mellow, perfect. The food tastes amazing. The ambiance is great. The service is relatively quick! My favorite thing to get at any hot pot spot is the Tom Yum which this place calls the "Thai Spicy Soup." I use Tom Yum as a good basis for a spot like this because of the complexity of the flavor. Tasty pot makes it delicious. The downside...zero customization or choosing your own ingredients whatsoever. The menu options are pre-made and you can only choose to remove things and add things. Most other spots allow you to get up and choose different items to add to your plate that you can dump into your soup. Tasty pot does NOT do this. I have been visiting regularly from when they first opened to my most recent visit on Mother's Day. I am aware of the ownership change that happened right around New Years as well and have visited twice since then. Service this visit was on the low end. There were 2 servers who you could tell did not want to be there. Every time I said thank you, it was met with an "uh huh". This was a special day out for many folks and you could at least put in some effort to be a little more polite. Positive changes include better business hours and no changes to the menu. I don't believe the prices changed either so far. If they did, I didn't notice. Thankfully, they kept the rewards program and the points earned prior to the ownership change were kept in place. Negative changes include kitchen not honoring special requests made to orders. To be clear, it IS allowed but kitchen staff seems to purposefully disregard it. Previous ownership never had issues with this but both my visits with new ownership failed each time. I hate clams and always get them removed. Guess who found clams in her order time and again? There was a table next to me where one person was allergic to seafood and I assumed they let the server know to remove all seafood ingredients. When the pot came to the table, it was immediately sent back. Even with serious allergy issues, the kitchen staff still doesn't seem to care unless you raise the issue. It should never come to that but alas. I cannot in good conscious recommend this place if you have strict dietary restrictions. Otherwise, if you are not too terribly of a picky eater this is an excellent option for a meal. They also seem to be regularly out of ingredients for the milk teas. Never had this issue with previous ownership but again, not too much of an inconvenience if you are flexible and not picky. On my personal scale, this dropped to a 3.5 stars but I'm keeping it at a 4 for Yelp. The food and drinks remain extremely delicious but the servers and kitchen especially really need to get it together. read more

The food was also very good, but overwhelming for a newbie like myself. Every dish has so many ingredients (which I assume is normal!). I was asked if I wanted to omit anything, but I honestly didn't know what I wanted, so for the dish as was. The taste was great. I liked many of the included ingredients, and could've done without others just as personal preference. The cost was higher than expected, but not unusual these days at any restaurant. I usually get the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy--it's stacked with beef slices, tendon, enoki mushrooms, tempura, clams, Fuzhou fish balls, pork blood rice cake... just loaded. We also tried the Japanese Miso pot with udon noodles, pork slices, crab, clams, mushrooms--so good. The cool part is the pots are totally customizable, so if there's anything you don't want, you can leave it out. I always add roe fish balls, quail eggs, and extra Fuzhou fish balls--no questions asked. And if you run out of broth, the staff will come by and top it off for you--super clutch. I got the Lamb Hot Pot with vermicelli. It comes on an elevated stand that holds the hot pot. There's a little lever underneath that let's you control the strength of the flame. I honestly don't like sea food. So I only have order 2 dishes that have less sea food items than others. Everyone else I go out with likes those items so I usually give them anytime that comes with that I don't like. The broth is very good. But if you don't like sea food or have an aversion to it. We get food from here very often. We always dine in. Everytime we come there always seem to be an uncessary wait. One particular time, we clearly saw that there were tables ready for us to sit down. However, the male server with curly blonde hair didn't seat us until everyone on the waiting list could be seated at the same time. We could have started eating earlier if we had sat down sooner, but we waited for 20 minutes without any reason. As soon as we walked in, we saw the same table we had been seated at was already available. We arrived at 8:00 PM, and the person seemed to be rude to the waiting guests, aggressively grabbing the high chair, being very obnoxiously loud and setting it up. It's often difficult to catch the servers' attention, as they primarily appear when delivering food. They seem to get her by the register than checking in on customers. Last year, the service seemed to be better with a different set of servers. Recently, the service quality has declined. The servers seem new and are not as attentive as before. Specifically, one of the male servers with curly blonde hair appears to lack proper customer service skills. One time, I was walking toward the bathroom, but he was cleaning the men's room and had the door open, blocking my way. I stopped briefly to check if he'd move, but he didn't. So, I had to find a way around him to make it to the women's bathroom. We were still eating when a female server asked if we were done with the sauce bottles, and we said no. She stood there for a moment, gave us a look of annoyance, and stared at us for a few seconds. It was an uncomfortable experience. Once, we found a bug in our hotpot just as we were about to finish. They didn't charge us for it. However, on our last visit, we discovered several metal scrubber pieces inside our hotpot. One was floating in our hotpot, and the Thai tom yum one had them stuck to the mussel shell from the hotpot. This time, we also saw it happen at the end, making us uncomfortable bringing it up because we didn't want to appear as if we were trying to get our food for free, as it keeps happening to us. We still go here because we live nearby and it's one of the few hot pot restaurants in the area, but we don't go there expecting great customer service.
