I am very disappointed at this restaurant now. Couple days ago, I have ordered 3 dishes: 1. roasted pork; 2. roasted duck; 3. sweet and sour pork chop; #1 is ok, but #2 and #3 are very disappointed, the roasted duck is cheaper than the one in Great Wall restaurant, however, the quality is not good at all; the sweet and sour pork is very mushy, and even my 11 year old kid did not like it. When I went there on 1/23/2026, the male owner, who is the main chef was not there, so I saw 1 man and 1 woman in the kitchen cooking all the food, so maybe the chef just did a bad job, not sure. Oh, one more thing, the white rice is very stale, hard, and tastes weird, could be the worse rice I have ever had in a restaurant. Sorry, very disappointed! read more

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for so long but I live further away & just haven't been able to make my way over. Today I decided to bring my family here for dinner, to celebrate a bday. At 6 pm on a Wednesday, there were very few people in the restaurant so we were seated right away. The waitress was very friendly and patient with us as we made our way through the big selections of food which was categorized by type of foods and protein, that made it really easy to read. We ordered salt and pepper calamari, roast pork, walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, General Tso chicken, and chicken fried rice. Besides the fried rice which was kind of bland, everything was cooked perfectly & was very delicious. All the dishes are served family style and are good portions at about $18-$19 per plate. For a family of 5, we still had plenty of leftovers. This place will definitely cured any Chinese Cuisine cravings! I ordered online. I got a confirmation that the order went through. Went to the restaurant and they said they didn't have it. I used the link from the Yelp page. I put my card in for the payment and they were going to charge my card again at the restaurant for my pre-paid online order. They said I'll have to call the company since they never received the order. They said they could make what I ordered like a walk-in order and I said okay until they were going to charge me again. I told them to cancel the "walk-in" order. Too bad. This place sounded promising but I don't have time to deal with calling a restaurant ordering service if they aren't communicating with the restaurant. Now I have to find a new place to order and if the order goes through here I'll have to report fraud since I didn't get anything. It's annoying af. Maybe the food is good. Idk. So we came here after we had heard it was pretty good. My son and I ordered the family meal for 2 which comes with fried rice, egg drop soup, sweet and sour pork, and broccoli and beef and a couple egg rolls. The portions are pretty big. Everything we got was good except the sweet and sour pork, it was literally so hard you couldn't even get a fork through it. I did bring it to their attention and was told it was crispy and they walked away. Puzzled by this I told our waitress to which she said she would let them know. Again nothing was addressed. Hands down the best Chinese food in the Phoenix area. They have two menus, you want to try their Cantonese one. They roasted duck and pig! They also have fresh live seafood! Spotted prawns are in season and they carried them! My family have been there a handful of times and the food is always consistent. Must try their sweet and sour pork chops, absolutely amazing! Dinner last night was delicious. The scrambled eggs with shrimp were still amazing. The roasted half duck was full of flavor and the duck fried rice was incredible. Lots of flavor. We also shared a Shiitake Mushroom and Asian Vegetable Dish....Maybe this one is for an acquired taste....The vegetables were in a thick sort of very slimy sauce that was like a mixture of snot and glue. This grossed us out. I know it's my fault that I didn't ask how much the fish would be but I never in a million years would guess that it would cost $89.10. For $89.10 they should hire someone that knows how to cook fish. The same type of fish I just had at Confluence in Carefree and that is a fine upscale restaurant that prepares amazing food. They only charged $39.00 for the same fish. Last time the restaurant was packed with customers and the fish was excellent. This time the restaurant was empty and the fish was not edible.......maybe they have a different cook now? We didn't take the time to complain because we didn't know that they were charging us $89.10 for that rubbery fish. Atmosphere is below average. Lots of clutter everywhere. Light fixture in ladies room is splattered with red.....??????? Feeling ripped off and we left hungry. Pre tip and tax $116.13 for a fish and a vegetable plate we couldn't eat. We ate so much and everything was good. We started with steamed dumplings which was a good size and average flavor. The main dishes were awesome though. Scrambled egg and shrimp was the highlight for me and my son loved the sweet and sour pork. Very nice crisp to the pork and not overly sweet. The business interior looks large and empty with only one man inside the lobby, but granted, this was close to closing on a Tuesday night. At a median price of $10.75 with rice included, they took and finished my order fast in about 5-8 minutes, and really made sure to stuff as much food as they can! (the photos don't do it justice) D&Y Chinese also takes delivery, however they are not on DoorDash so you do have to call them by phone. You know, how delivery used to be?
