    Really bad Sesame Chicken

The Sesame Chicken I received looked like it was reclaimed leftovers that they refried and served again. Worst Chinese food I ever receive. Just look at it!

OMG you have no idea how happy we are to have found this place!!! Good Chinese food has felt like an impossible dream since moving to Glendale from Chicago! We've spent nearly three years waiting to find this place and couldn't be happier that we finally did! Well, actually, they found us since they sent us their menu in the mail. Most of the other Chinese places we've been to had good sesame chicken but terrible rice. Or good rice, but terrible main dishes. This place has it all and it's all good! We got sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and beef and broccoli as our main dishes and they were all perfect and costing about $10-12 per dish. We got some beef fried rice and it was amazing! We got a couple orders of egg rolls, which were smaller than we're used to from a Chinese joint, but our autistic kids ate and loved them! I'll include more pics the next time we go here. I was too busy wolfing down food to take pics this time around. If you're on the west side, try these guys out, they're amazing!!!

New Hong Kong Express is under new management. Food was made quickly, and ready when promised. Food was hot and fresh. The Mongolian beef and sesame chicken were our favorites. Mongolian beef and onions were lightly sauced. Meat is tender. Onions had a nice chared quality. Sesame chicken is sweet. There was still a slight crunch by the time we got home. It was nice to find some tofu dishes on the menu. General Tso's tofu has a nice mix of tofu and vegetables. None of us found the spicy dishes to be spicy. They were still all enjoyable. I look forward to trying more pf their dishes. I think we may have found our new takeout Chinese place.

This place is one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants. I always order the Orange Chicken dinner combo and it is always delicious! I like the spicy chicken and the sides. I think it's worth the price since you get a lot of food for the price. Definitely will keep ordering and recommend to anyone! Their foods are warm and fresh!

Food isn't the worst until you're throwing up the entire night . I'll avoid future food poisoning by not going here again.

Amazing Restaurant!…read more All amazing people of Phoenix, if you have not gone to this phenomenal restaurant yet, you really need to. This is one convenient, high quality, extremely flavorful Chinese place that me and my husband visited today. It was just high quality all the way! When we arrived it was quiet. Superbly clean, neat and tidy. Cute decor and a nice inviting vibe. We were sat at a table and given our menus. Prices were really good. Especially when you get the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. Our waitress was super-nice. Which is hard to find these days. She was so nice to everyone who came in. When we sat down, a lady who wasn't too sure about the place came in asking all kinds of questions. And she patiently answered each one as if she was a close family member. A homeless guy came in asking for water. She jumped right up to give him a HUGE cup of ice and water and was so kind to him. Then other patrons came in to order and pick up food and each one, regardless of age, ethnic makeup, what they were wearing, all were greeted so warmly. Huge smiles and a constant giving and warm attitude all throughout. We were treated just as good. And for us that is very rare. We ordered a lot of various things. A cold cucumber salad, a hot appetizer, a couple of main dishes. Then the absolute most amazing signature steak on the Chef's Speciality. WOW. The salad and appetizers came out first. Salad really cold and refreshing. Super crisp and cut nicely. Amazing flavor. Then the appetizers were super hot and fresh. Not oily. Bursting with flavor. Then the mains came. Everything cooked perfectly. The flavors of each dish just screaming at my taste buds. Enjoyed every bite. Then they brought out the steak for my husband. So juicy. So tender. And the sauce in the side just added to the flavor. We savored every bite. The quality and temperatures and flavors are off the chart. We could not finish all this bliss in one sitting, se we asked for boxes and containers. She gave us many to separate everything and a bag to haul it home in. Always asking if we needed anything else and being authentically polite. This place should be packed. You are missing out if you have not tried New Hong King Restaurant. Amazing service. The service could have been a little better, but it wasn't terrible. The price was reasonable, and the ambience was really nice. I especially liked the bright Asian colors throughout the restaurant it gave the place a lively feel. I ordered the Mongolian beef, but it was more like a beef and broccoli dish. Traditional Mongolian beef usually has onions, and mine didn't have any. The flavors were really good, though the beef was a little on the salty side. Not so salty that it was inedible, but definitely something where you'll want a sip of water with each bite. Overall, still a good spot with great soups, fair prices, and a nice atmosphere.

Very nice folks. If they had t-shirts we would have bought it. Great small business. Inside was clean. Chairs were very comfortable. Eating utensils are one of my pet peeves. Plates cups and silverware were clean. I highly recommend visiting Big Hengs!

I have given SO MUCH BUSINESS TO THIS PLACE! However their customer service is absolute TRASH!!!…read more I recently went to have dinner with my 70 year old mother, my 8 year old son and my husband. We walked into a COMPLETELY EMPTY restaurant. There was a man folding napkins and he said "sit anywhere!" Ooookay, so we sat at a booth, the RUDE waitress comes over to take our orders, "what you wanna order!?" Super aggressive! We order our usual. During that time I realized that it would be easier to eat at a round table so we could use the lazy Susan in the middle to easily reach our food. So we got up and we're going to move when the man who was folding napkins said "no! Wait for your waitress!" Waitress comes back and literally YELLED at us! Saying, "no!!! Sit at the booth!!" I tried explaining that the table would be too small and she continued to yell at me. I was on the verge of tears and didn't understand why she was so upset. Since we did not eat or drink anything, my husband said "let's go!" So we excused ourselves and left. The man folding napkins stood up and ran to the exit and started recording us. Not only was I scared, but my son started crying and my 70 year old mother began wheezing and breathing fast... they literally ran out of the restaurant as we were getting into our car and kept yelling & recording! I used to order $150-200 food EVERY MONTH!!! However we ALWAYS did pick up. Had I known how TERRIBLE THEIR SERVICE IS, I would neeeeeever have contributed to them!!! Absolutely horrible horrible hooooorible service! DO NOT GO HERE!! There are plenty other places to eat with better service!!! Huge pass and will never ever eeever return

The Best Chinese Food Restaurant in Phoenix - A Family Tradition Since 1996…read more I have been dining at Canton Dragon for nearly 30 years, since 1996, and I can honestly say that it remains one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona. Over all these years, I have had the opportunity to experience countless meals, celebrations, family gatherings, and visits, and Canton Dragon has consistently remained a place where my family and I feel welcomed, appreciated, and like valued guests. What makes Canton Dragon truly special isn't just the incredible food. It is the people, the hospitality, the consistency, and the genuine care they show their customers. After nearly three decades of dining here, I can confidently say that this restaurant has become much more than a place to eat. It has become part of my family's dining tradition. I would especially like to recognize Jim, the General Manager, for his outstanding commitment to customer service. Jim always makes my family and I feel welcomed every time we walk through the doors, and he continues to supersede our expectations. His personal attention, professionalism, friendliness, and genuine concern for his guests are qualities that are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Jim consistently goes above and beyond to make sure that our experience is exceptional, and his leadership is a major reason Canton Dragon continues to stand out. I would also like to recognize Elaine, the Assistant Manager, for her exceptional hospitality and professionalism. Elaine is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and she contributes greatly to the comfortable and inviting atmosphere at Canton Dragon. Her dedication to making sure guests have a great experience does not go unnoticed. A very special recognition goes to Chef Jim (GM) and Chef Jian. The quality and consistency of the food are a major reason I have continued coming back since 1996. Their culinary skills, attention to detail, and ability to consistently deliver flavorful, well-prepared Chinese cuisine are truly impressive. Every dish reflects the care and pride that goes into the kitchen. Whether I'm ordering one of my longtime favorites or trying something different, the food is always prepared with the same level of quality that keeps me coming back. I also want to recognize the wonderful hostesses, May and Eunice. They are often the first people guests encounter when entering the restaurant, and they do an excellent job setting the tone for the entire experience. Their friendly greetings, professionalism, and welcoming personalities make my family and I feel comfortable from the moment we arrive. What I appreciate most about Canton Dragon is the consistency. Restaurants can change significantly over the years, but Canton Dragon has maintained the quality of its food and the importance it places on hospitality. Nearly 30 years of returning to the same restaurant says a lot. There is a reason I continue to bring my family here. As a retired United States Air Force veteran, I have always appreciated professionalism, integrity, teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. Those are qualities I recognize when I see them, and the team at Canton Dragon consistently demonstrates them. Jim, Elaine, Jian, May, Eunice, and the entire Canton Dragon team deserve recognition for creating an environment where customers feel genuinely valued. Great food may bring someone into a restaurant, but great people, exceptional service, and consistency are what make them return for decades. After dining at Canton Dragon since 1996, I can say without hesitation that this is my family's go-to Chinese restaurant and, in my opinion, the best Chinese food restaurant in Phoenix. Thank you to the entire Canton Dragon team for nearly three decades of great food, great service, and great memories. We truly appreciate everything you do and look forward to many more meals and memories with you. Five stars are absolutely deserved. Highly recommended! Sincerely, James H., Retired USAF
