Super friendly people working there. It's a little unassuming place, and you think the food would be standard "cheap Chinese" fare. The food was so good. I hungry ordered and ordered way too much food but it was all great. The eggplant was one of my faves. I can't believe I haven't ordered it here before. Kiddo couldn't stop laughing that I ordered the "Pu Pu platter" but kept eating it saying omg, so good. The hot and sour soup had a nice flavor. I would have preferred more "stuff" in it, like tofu, etc. but I was not disappointed in the taste. The Orange chicken wasn't overly sweet and had a good batter. Had a hankerin' for some Orange Chicken; decided to try this place out due to all the rave reviews of their OC. Here's the good: the Orange sauce has such a delicious flavor. The bad (for me, others maybe not): the texture of the chicken was so very chewy. I didn't like that. And I can't say I've ever had such a chewy Orange Chicken as this. I won't order that again. The chow mei fun was tasty HOWEVER there must've been 2 whole onions sliced up in there. I like onions but man oh man, this was too much! I spent a few minutes picking out most. Like I said, very flavorful & tasty but just too heavy with onions. Lastly, the egg rolls tasted weird. My husband and I both agreed on this. New Chen Wok is good. Good, not great, but good. It's smack dab in the heart of Peoria pretty much at 75th and Cactus. Super convenient location and easy to get to, although, there's a lot of businesses jammed in this tiny shopping center and parking is at a premium. And since most people in Arizona drive like complete numbnuts, your head should be on a swivel as you're navigating this parking lot. There's my tip of the day. I won't even charge you either. There's not much of a view and the inside is about as small as you get. There's room for 1-3 tables and that's about it, but who in the heck DOESN'T get Chinese food to go? ...the answer to that question should be no one. Super fast service and good customer service. Pricing is typical to-go Chinese Food and perhaps even a bit less expensive. I went with the Orange Chicken combo which comes with a pork egg roll and pork fried rice. The chicken was tender and not overly saturated in faux orange sauce. The egg roll was crispy without being dried out. The pork fried rice was my disappointment. I absolutely love pork fried rice. The problem is it wasn't good rice. It looks like they opened a box of Uncle Ben's, browned it and served it. They were so close on being my new to-go Chinese food eatery, but alas, the rice is a show stopper for me. It's simply personal preference. I would guess if you're a snowbird from Delaware, you probably love Uncle Ben's. Unfortunately, I do not. If you look at my Yelp profile photo, you'll see my eyes are fairly slanty. Therefore, I know what rice should taste like. And I can pretty much guarantee you this is not it. All in all, not a bad establishment here in Peoria. To recap, highly recommended if you're from Delaware and enjoy your rice straight out of a box. If not, keep looking. read more

If I could rate 10 starts I WOULD! I have been coming here for a couple years now. I always get the chicken amazing and yes it's AMAZING! It comes with a side of white rice. Super yummy every single time. Sometimes I ask no mushroom they have never messed up my order. It's always cooked to order and fresh. Not once have I been disappointed by them. The lady in the front is always super sweet and the gentleman in the back does a great job! Always so welcoming and patient. Good Chinese food for a great price! It's a little hole in the wall and you almost miss it, but I would definitely recommend trying it. I love their lunch combos. I have tried the sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken (if you don't like spicy this one is pretty spicy - ask for no spicy), and the pork fried rice (yum!). Everything about this place is great! I work across the street and love a good Chinese lunch combo. My favorite part is its served with pork fried rice instead of your plain fried or white rice. **Edit: I added this New Chen Wok page because when I looked up the business on Yelp, the page with this address was listed under the name of the old restaurant, but that page has since updated the name...so there are now two pages for New Chen Wok.** This place used to be Chen & Wok, but has new owners and is now New Chen Wok. I was shopping in the area and wanted some Chinese takeout. I remembered there was a place near the Fry's. It's small with a few tables to eat in, but I'd classify it more as a takeout joint. The young man at the register was very nice and answered my menu questions. I decided on the Moo Goo Gai Pan combo and it was ready in less than 15 minutes. I got home and was so impressed to find such fresh, perfectly crisp-cooked vegetables and tender chicken in my dish. I was not expecting it to be so good. It's the best Moo Goo Gai Pan I've had in years. So good! (see photo) Portion was huge, and the combo came with pork fried rice and an egg roll for $7.50. I shared it with my son, and still had leftovers. I'll be coming back for more takeout soon. Can't wait to try other dishes. A new fave. read more

Horrible food, horrible service. When I called in my order, I asked for the sauce to be on the side for the general tso... the woman taking my order said they put the sauce on the chicken and I said I prefer on the side because I don't want the chicken to get soggy. As you can see, then ended up severely overcooking the chicken, it looked like chicharrones. I never said I wanted crispy chicken, all I asked for was the sauce on the side. I also ordered the lemon chicken, the sauce must have been going bad because boy was it SOUR!!! I've ordered this plenty of times and the sauce is sweet with a lemon flavor. I couldn't believe this was happening because we've ordered before with no issues. I called the store and told them what happened and that this food was unacceptable , NO APOLOGIES, NO REFUNDS AND NO OFFERS TO REMAKE THE FOOD, NOTHING!!!!! I was so angry and I just couldn't believe what was happening. I also told them I would be returning the food and they didn't care. I will never NEVER return and you should think twice before you order from here. Chances are you have a 50/50 chance of getting your food done right and tasting great or Disgusted with the food and the service. Way to go! read more
