This wasn't really a bad lunch. It had room for improvement, but was fine. Ths spring roll was mushy inside and they didn't include napkins either on my to-go order. Also fried rice was just brown rice with nothing in it. Sweet and Sour chicken was fried chicken white meat, you dip in the sauce. Soup ok, but was there hot and sour option? Lots of parking, and it's not too far from my house. A win is a win. Service was very friendly. There's not a whole lot of decor to the place, but it's calm and unassuming. If you need to hold a conversation with someone, the music isn't too loud preventing that. Music was a mix, they did have "Golden" in the mix and ngl, I had to force myself not to sing along. They have lunch specials, even on Sundays. It's a great way to try a lot of options for cheaper. The lunch menu comes with a generous size entree, 2 scoops of fried rice, egg drop soup, a veggie spring roll and a fried cream cheese wonton. I got a few items, and we had so much food it's still in the fridge. Walnut shrimp was crispy, sauce wasn't overly sweet, nice crunch from the candied walnuts. You get a good portion. The shrimp was not overcooked. Yum. 8/10 Shrimp with lobster sauce, it was a little salty for me but had a nice mix of veggies, and the sauce didn't have too much cornstarch, so it wasn't gelatinous like at some places. Nice flavors though. Nothing overpowering. 6/10 Beef Chow Fun -not on the lunch menu but I literally get it at every Chinese place that has it. The rice noodles were not overcooked, beef was seasoned well and tender, not chewy. 10/10 would get that again. Hot and sour soup was pretty good. I could stand for it to have more "sour" to it. The flavors were a bit mellow for me. I like a more aggressively flavored hot and sour soup. Not bad though. 6.5/10 Mongolian beef. Nice tender beef, well cooked and seasoned. Good beef to onion ratio. 8/10. Chicken with mushrooms-saucy, full of veggies with a mild brown sauce. They had zucchini in it, and I love zucchini and mushrooms together. There was a lot of chicken, and it was seasoned well, not too salty. Definitely tasty. 8/10. Would I be back? Probably. I'm glad I found this spot. I've driven by it plenty, it's one you don't want to miss though! read more

Very authentic Chinese food. It's located in a semi-empty strip mall but don't let the location dissuade you in trying this place. It has a few tables to sit and eat but most of their customers are takeout. I ordered at the counter and picked it up and ate there; no table service or wait staff. The food was very good and reasonably priced, and the restaurant looks very clean . Will definitely come back! read more

Easy to find, park, order and short wait for fresh food take away. I needed some Wor Wonton soup before leaving the valley and my husband ordered chicken fried rice with a side of sweet and sour sauce. CFR is one size but was very good. The soup was fresh and excellent. Ordered 2 bags of wonton chips to go with the soup but really only needed one. Place is small with limited seating. Mostly take out business. Very nice people though a little rushy. I'll be back for more, for sure. read more

Super busy on Christmas day, but they handled it as smoothly as possible. We were told the long wait prior to ordering, so we knew what to expect. Have eaten here many times and even with how busy they were the food was the same great quality, chicken was so tender and they even got a special request of mushrooms instead of green peppers right. The kid up front was a little stressed, but still was very friendly to all and even offered to call everyone when their order was ready. Got take out, got delayed by traffic. They were gracious enough to let me keep the lunch special price even though I was thirty minutes late. Yeah I just ordered from here two days ago and back. Came here twice- first experience was amazing. Everything was packaged perfectly either in sturdy plastic containers or the rice boxes. (If you're traveling far maybe ask for this packaging) Ordered about $80 worth of food - it took about 10 to 15 minutes to make everything - it was fresh hot & delicious!!! We ordered : Orange chicken 2 orders of combination fried rice chicken fried rice pepper steak and crab puffs This fed about 6-8ppl depending on portion sizes. My second visit on the other hand is where I would have lost a star- I did order a combo on this visit, not knowing things were packaged all together- they weren't the first time..... I should've asked- or known with a combo I guess- so this is partially of on me but... all the juices leaked out in the bottom of the bag, which then leaked out onto the seat of my car. :( Everything was smashed together. I paid extra for the house combination fried rice. I wasn't expecting it to be smooshed in the same container with the meat. Super disappointing. No napkins in the bag of course that would've been helpful. Lol Second visit was combo of combination fried rice upgraded from white rice with an entree that comes w tiny broth cup - 1 egg roll 1 crab puff and I also ordered a full side order of crab puffs- they are awesome here!!!!! Spent $30 this is enough food to feed 2-3 ppl again depending on portion sizes- the Food came out quick maybe 10 minutes for this visit. I hadn't eaten there since they moved across the street and stopped delivery. I decided to make the trip for carry out. Their food is still as good and their prices have not skyrocketed like many restaurants. Their portions are large and their fried rice with a combo was great! Very, very, very casual and low key. You might even say they are cut from the old school Chinese restaurants. But if you're craving Chinese, not looking to make a big deal out of the dining experience and better yet need a go-to takeout Chinese restaurant, you've found it. We had the Kung Pow Chicken (level 5 which was not at all challenging if you are hesitant), Hot & Sour soup, spring rolls and Orange Chicken. All of it was delicious. this was one of the worst Chinese rest. yet. born & raised NYC, and this food is horrible, i was recommended by another NYC but i guess he didn't know what real Chinese food is. i ordered shrimp with lobster sauce, it should have shrimp, scallions, peas & carrots in a thick white sauce with egg. I got shrimp, mushrooms, green peppers, onions in a thin grayish color sauce, the only that was correct was the shrimp. we got egg fu young, another disaster the eggs were dry and looked they were pre-made. i could go on with the rest, but i think you get the idea. if you're from NYC and know real Chinese food, don't do it. we ate some the rest in the garbage $50 bucks down the drain read more

First time and will be back. This is a no-frills place mostly geared towards take-out. There are 5 tables for eat-in, however. The food is served in all styrofoam, which is becoming quite common. Ordered beef & broccoli lunch combo for LESS than $9! Hearty portion of beef and of broccoli in a tasty sauce with two large scoops of fried rice. The combo includes a spring roll, crab puff and egg drop soup. The soup was also kind of bland, but the other sides were good. The fried rice was also pretty bland, but the main course made up for the shortcomings. Again, will certainly be back. read more

We read reviews so we checked it out and honestly....not impressed. I've accepted the fact that Phoenix just doesn't have the type of Chinese food I'm used to from back east but we have been looking for a decent place since Covid took out our old go to spot. We "dined in" for lunch and food was brought to us in styrofoam to go boxes which we ate from (which isn't a deal breaker) but..not even paper plates which was hard since we were sharing apps and lo mein in addition to our personal meals. The pupu platter included "Chinese barbecue ribs " which are normally my favorite. They were practically dehydrated and the meat tasted "gamey" for lack of a better word, (so much so I spit it back into my napkin which I NEVER do). Fried rice was wet and flavorless. The reason I gave two stars instead of one: My husband did enjoy the Kung Pao chicken and the food was hot and reasonable lunch prices (but then again..you get what you pay for). No drinks except canned soda. We had quite a bit of food left and it went in the trash (and I love Chinese left overs) If you want a cheap Chinese meal and aren't worried at all about quality ..then this is your place. read more

I am so bummed to make this review because this was our go to take out spot for YEARS. Last night we ordered a Pupu tray for 3 and the Sesame chicken and I was so disappointed in the quality compared to previous orders from them. The PuPu appetizer- The dumplings were bad-seemed boxed and microwaved or something. The eggrolls and crab puffs were not crispy. HOWEVER the ribs were better than ever! When it came to the entree it was incredibly lacking in flavor and mushy. I was so looking forward to this meal because it had been about 5 months since we had it last. The food was awesome. I had the sweet and sour pork lunch special that came with a spring roll, crab puff, soup, and white rice with soy sauce (which they called fried rice). The portion/amount of food was generous, and the price was reasonable. You have to order at the counter, and if you eat in, they bring your food on a tray. The restaurant is very clean, and the person who took my order was nice. The only thing that I would have liked to have was real fried rice, but almost all places that serve fried rice in a combo serve white rice with soy sauce, so I can live with that. I have been making a tour of Chinese food in the North Valley, and this has been the best so far. read more

Four out of five perfect dishes! Shrimp in lobster sauce Orange Chicken Chicken LoMein Chicken fried rice Egg Foo Yung . The patties for the egg foo yung were just dense and flavorless. I like mine with a lot of vegetables mixed in the patties and fluffy egg. I am quite pleased with this place though and will keep ordering on the regular! read more

So my wife and I have been on a search for good egg rolls since we moved here from NY. Most of the time they're tiny, super greasy, and just overall not very good. So we decided to try here.
