We grabbed lunch to go from here on a weekday. We walked in and were greeted immediately and provided a menu. We ordered a shrimp w vegetable lunch special and teriyaki chicken. Both came with an egg roll and crab puff and a great deal for $11-$12. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. The shrimp with vegetables was great and had plenty of vegetables. The teriyaki chicken while it was eaten it wasn't a favorite. The sauce was super sweet, sweeter than other places teriyaki but that might just be our preference. The crab puff and egg roll were great. The prices and amount of food were on par so would stop in again and try more of their specials in the future. read more

I ordered 6 beef skewers with a side of white rice that came out to 15 dollars. The beef skewers were cooked well and lightly sauced! Quite delightful, the white rice I like to eat with my hands for some reason makes my Brain think it gives my rice more flavor the general sao chicken was also very delicious highly recommend ! When I drove up to the restaurant, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wanted to rely on many good Yelp reviews, so inside I went. I am glad I did. The ambiance is fairly plain and simple, but the good is bursting with flavor. Step 1 is the egg drop soup test, which Grand Dragon passed with flying colors. I was a bit bummed by the small portion size, however. Then, my lunch order of House Special Chicken arrived. It was smoking hot, super flavorful and crispy, and a nice-sized portion. The traditional egg roll was great, alongside the crab puff. Everything was served quickly and the experience was good overall. I didn't love the plain fried rice that came with the meal. This restaurant is a clean hole in the wall restaurant that serves delicious and very reasonably priced Chinese food. Today I ordered the house special chicken lunch combo and my husband ordered egg drop soup and shrimp fried rice. The chicken was crispy and delicious. The chicken was not chewy or tough ( like some other places) the egg roll had really good flavor and the crab puff and fried rice were average. Had the right amount of crisp. The sauce was just, sauce. I ended up putting my sweet and sour for the egg roll on it. It's been like ten years since I've been here. Used to come all the time when I lived closer but kinda stopped after a few "not so good" dishes. Ordered shrimp chow mein and mushroom chicken. The mushroom chicken was ok but could have used more taste. I like it well seasoned. The chow mein was also kinda weak in flavor. It was well made, noodle weren't soggy and shrimp were cooked well So my verdict is......it's a little better than average and the prices were good. The place looked clean. Not very crowded for a Friday night which is usually a bad sign. Maybe because there was only one grumpy old cashier guy and a lady cooking/bringing out the food. They close for summer but I'd definitely order again. That orange chicken was moist with a nice chicken to breading ratio where it's mostly chicken. My Kung Pao wasn't visually what I expected, with the very large pieces of celery- but it was still delicious & just the right amount of spice- on the mild side. The fried rice was mediocre. It's one of the better Chinese food places around. We were the only people inside besides one other family but could hear the server fielding take out calls the whole time. For good reason, this place is good. We started off with a scorpion bowl which is brandy, triple sec, gin, and pineapple juice. No flame in the middle but it was still a tasty and fun drink to share. Then went with the hot and sour soup. Which was just okay. Had a good vinegar taste but was lacking something. I went with the sweet and sour pork combo meal. Which comes with lo mein, an egg roll, "fried rice", crab puff, and your entree. The sweet and sour pork was spot on. Pork was tender and the breading was thick. Sauce was good too. The noodles were greasy and fantastic, and the crab puff was a great way to finish. We also got the lemon chicken, and again it was such a good piece of fried chicken. We tried to flag him down multiply times to ask for stuff but he just ignored us. The best part was when he said "what, no to tip?" Are you insane sir?! I love this place have been going here for years and the food is amazing and most importantly consistent I have never had a bad experience here. The service and servers are the best always happy to see you and funny. The ambiance is what you expect nothing fancy but clean and comfortable recently remodeled and has a bar that gets overlooked tucked in the back. Plain chow mein (what I would consider lo mein) was wonderful with a nice smoky flame seared taste. Cons: Egg drop soup has carrots and peas. Sesame beef was too breaded and overly sweet.
