Overall the drinks are super yummy I love how everything is pink and the staff are pretty nice. Busy day with the art and wine festival so the wait was long. It took over 30 mins to get our drinks! I ordered a passionfruit and watermelon tea with crystal boba and a white peach and jasmine tea with boba. Both were 30% sweetness and normal ice but the passionfruit and watermelon was quite sweet, while the peach tea was less sweetened. I waited for the ice to melt so it wouldn't be so sweet. The flavors seem real and not artificial since it really tasted like passionfruit (had seeds) and watermelon. The green tea made me a bit jittery after drinking half of it! The drinks were pretty to look at. I enjoyed the drink after the ice melted. The peach tea was ok and tasted like it had a roasted flavor. We're not in Mountain View very often so I'm not sure if we'll be back any time soon, but drinks were decent for the price paid and the shop was nicely decorated! read more

I don't like posting harsh reviews but I think this could help them fix some things. I hadn't read the recent review about long wait times before going here. I popped in because I was nearby. Waited 20-25 min. for two drinks. One was supposed to have a substitute but was incorrect.. didn't want to wait another 20 to remedy it. My hubby and I went to the grand opening of Ume tea! All their drinks were $3 and they had a cool raffle going on as well. We went around 8:45pm and waited for about 20 minutes to get into the store. The store is super cute and pretty inside. The vibe is pink and red with cute bunnies as their logo. There is even a pink cherry blossom tree inside. We ordered the strawberry matcha milk tea with ice cream and the brown sugar milk tea. Both of these drinks were great and I especially loved the ice cream touch in the strawberry matcha. It really adds an extra dimension and decadence to the drink. We also got the curly fries which were very fresh, crispy, and flavorful. I needed more than one ketchup packet but also appreciated the sweet and sour sauce. For opening day, these guys rocked how quickly the drinks came out. We waited under ten minutes for both drinks and the curly fries. They definitely have a smooth system behind the scenes. Overall, I loved Ume and would get my drink again. Located in Downtown Mountain View, parking is plentiful. This Ume Tea just opened which I'm so thankful for. Ume Tea's theme is super cute. I love the pink and the bunny is adorable. I was really blown away by the interior decor and design. This place really did transform from what it originally was. Strawberry matcha milk tea (5/5): this one really hit out of the ballpark. The flavor was just right. I was worried it would be too sweet since the sweetness level is fixed but it wasnt. The strawberry added a good fragrant flavor. Superb drink. Tap to pay is accepted. Really nice tea place. Good ambience and super cute bunny theme. Love the wall mural featuring an imperial feast accompanied by dancers. I ordered the Taro Milk with Coconut pudding and it was nice and refreshing with Taro paste. Setup across from the mural are some flowering trees providing pink clouds of blossoms. Under the tree is a Gu Zheng setup for playing. It makes for great ambience and any one who loves rabbit themes would probably find this place a visual experience. Didn't realize I had actually been to an Ume before a long time ago in Milpitas. I saw mochi and red bean on the menu which is why I wanted to go here (and last time in Milpitas too). Came on a weekday evening, and there were some people sitting in the store and a few people in line - order and pay on a tablet, then wait for your drink. I asked for my drink to be made in my own cup and it was fast to come out. I got the mochi red bean milk tea, no sugar, no ice. The milk tea has the "standard" taste, not really anything spectacular. Mochi was a bit buttery which was interesting, smooth and slightly soft. Red bean was the usual, sunk to the bottom which I guess is normal. Drinks are pretty pricey but many of them have unique toppings. Their tea is just not good though, and that's what I most care about. read more

UME has the best fried octopus ever. Theirs is fresh and tasty. Love it. Also the popcorn chicken my nana thought was spicy but we got the non spicy one . And then she tried the spicy one and she said it wasn't spicy. That I thought was funny. Their sweetness levels are average, maybe slightly on the sweeter side. I definitely recommend their fruit teas and House Milk Tea. Just be careful if you get the House Milk Tea hot, I burned my tongue last time. The White Peach Oolong Milk Tea and Soy Mochi Milk Tea w/ Soy Cheese Top sounded good but the toppings (biscoff cookie and soy cheese top) tasted weird with the drink. I love getting the Bunny Surprise Tea just to see what plushies I get haha. It's been a different plushie each time. And you can choose between several different milk & fruit tea options for the Bunny Surprise Tea. I highly recommend the Popcorn Chicken (5/5), super crispy and peppery and is a large portion. I really liked this place. I stumbled upon this place while walking around the downtown and had really liked the colors used to decorate this place. They have option to order yourself through a POS or by placing order with the staff. I ordered Oreo Creme Brulee Boba Milk Tea with light ice and 30% sugar. I think I could have skipped sugar in this drink because Oreo and creme brûlée made it sweet already. The interior is surely very pretty though not a lot of place to sit, so you may pick your drink and walk out. The boba came out perfect, and the milk tea was delicious I got their basic house tea and I really enjoyed it! It was very tea-y and I really enjoyed that. I think the price is steep for the quantity you get and I do wish the store was cleaner in general. There are straw wrappers everywhere and most surfaces are sticky.
