Ok boba shop. I got the pretty in pink less ice and half sugar. The boba tasted like it's been sitting too long since boba was watery and expanded. Didn't have a nice chew. The tea was watered down and didn't have much tea flavor. Subtle strawberry flavor. Came during the day and store was empty. Server was nice. Pink booths around the store for seating with a large screen in the middle.
Cool little boba shop with unique flavors. Fun seating area with a comfortable bench and seats that look like hard boiled eggs. Cool video screen with some of the worst music I have ever heard. They show a video of people on a party boat with a DJ trying to act cool on camera. Great views of SF (Alcatraz and the SF skyline) ruined by wanna be's. Oh, no WiFi for customers. Other than that, nice staff and good boba but I wouldn't hang out here.
Love coming to this place, its got this club vibe going on with their huge theater screen playing hit songs and a lounge to sit if you want to chill and drink your boba. Besides that their drinks are amazing and the best part is that if you can't decide which one to get you can always get a split cup and have two totally different beverages. I love having that option specially when I want to try something different, but don't want to opt out of my usual favorite. Service is also great and fast, pekoe doesn't disappoint!
Vibe was great but went there for a good boba teas. Unfortunately the drinks are below mediocre. The tea barista was very helpful & quick with the ordedr. Pekoe special was not so special. One of the perk was their late opening though.
Came here afternoon after work w coworker. Wednesday. First time trying this franchise. Inside was pretty until you take a closer glance. Very dirty and messy like an after party. I like the big screen but my friend didn't like it. Workers really didn't have much to do except sitting in the back and looking at their phone ... could really clean the place up a bit. I got the foxy brown. Honestly both my friends and my drinks are pretty bad. Very watered down and the boba was not good. I do not recommend coming here. There are better quality boba down the street.
Peak Bay Area ambiance if you're looking for a spot to hang out. Pekoe is iconic for that lively vibe with a club setting, big screens playing festival sets (UMF when I stopped by), trendy decor and cuties working the cashier. The boba and tea is kinda mid unfortunately, the sweetness levels are inconsistent; I always order half sweet, sometimes it's still overly sweet, but sometimes it's way too bitter. They also don't have a good boba to drink ratio. I'm a big boba girl but I always catch myself not finishing the drink when I come by Pekoe. Would come back for the vibes, also love that it's open late.
Pretty in Pink Judgment: solid B sugar is strong but not overpowering tea is still strong enough to be noticed and it's not terrible pearls are alright they fill up to the top, which is shockingly rare gets legacy points for being *that* spot ice is excessive still tasty even on a full stomach doesn't get tiring to drink or depreciate in quality solid serving size place is a vibe but relatively clean don't go here for a quiet and chill time, just a chill time fast service $6.50 5/2/24
My friend took my here because it's her favorite and I see the reason why. I like the vibes and the huge TV that plays music videos. Service was friendly (one employee on a slow Sunday). I ordered the Manly Melons fruit tea: jasmine green tea, watermelon, strawberry, mango, lychee, aloe vera & white pearls. I substituted the white pearls for lychee jelly and it made it better for my taste. Overall, the flavor combination did not miss. I highly recommend this drink.
3.5/5 rounding up to 4 Stars Stopped by Pekoe on a Wednesday afternoon and found it relatively quiet. Given it's vibe is more night-cluby and it's open later - unsurprising as I imagine the crowd isn't quite here yet. Service was very friendly and quick to take my order. They have the split cup boba here - which is FANTASTIC. I really wish more boba shops around did this as well for those indecisive people like me. We got the Pretty in Pink (strawberry milk tea with boba and heart jelly) and Pekoe Special (Earl Grey tea with boba and grass jelly). Both were ordered at half sweet (they don't do less than that) and already incredibly incredibly sweet. Only reason this place lost a star was due to the overly sweet drinks. Both were tasty but just felt a tad heavy / slightly artificial tasting. Definitely hit the spot we were looking for at the time but likely wouldn't be a regular instance since it's a bit much
Reviewing the fruit tea-- on the plus side, this place had quick service and the mango-star toppings were quite good. However, the fruit tea itself tasted artificial and had no real fruit pieces in it, although in the menu photo it almost seems like there are many fruit chunks. It also had a slightly bitter aftertaste. For the price, I would have hoped for slightly less artificial tasting
I always love coming here whenever I'm in San Jose as the drinks are always delicious. We got the pretty in pink drink and the manly melons/life's a peach split cup. The pretty in pink is always my favorite as I like the sweet and milky taste of the drink infused with a light taste of strawberries. I also like the strawberry gummies and boba toppings as it's perfectly chewy and pairs well with the drink. The life's a peach drink was okay as lacked the peach flavor and tasted more like tea. Personally wouldn't get that one again but the manly melons one was a high second place for me as it had a sweet and tropical taste which was perfectly paired with the jasmine tea and the agar boba pearls. Would definitely come back to check out other drinks on the menu!

Terrific customer service and attractive ambiance. They stay open very late, and that is admirable. The type of place you can liberally chillax at for hours with pals. The fruit tea I ordered is flavorful/delicious. The Jolly Rancher tastes quite similar to the hard candy. Liquid version. So many menu items to select from. Which is something I love. Cannot to go back for more. The price points are fair. read more
It's a cute little boba spot, my first time. It's bright inside & the music was definitely a vibe. The drinks came out quick. I'd say the strawberry drink was pretty nasty, but the winter melon and the brown sugar one was good read more

Drinks were ok. They ran out of the drink I wanted the "Let's get high" and so I got "black dragon" drink. Maybe I shouldn't get 50% sweetness but it tasted like medicine. Will definitely get a fruit tea the next time that I come read more

I come here for one specific drink and have never had a problem with its consistency :) The service is good and the interior is cute - I believe the prices are fair and when I do have a sweet tooth I'd recommend this spot to friends for a quick cup of boba. read more

I have to say the vibes at Pekoe are unmatched, especially at night. There is really no other boba place that stays open that late and is also lively at night. I love coming to Pekoe with my friends late at night. The service is always friendly, and the people are kind. Pekoe has unique drink flavor names and combinations. The star that is deducted is for the drinks themselves. For someone who enjoys boba, Pekoe drinks don't have an authentic tea flavor but are rather a combination of a lot of flavors/syrups. The main issue with the drinks is that they are extremely sweet. There is only a 100%, 50%, or 0% option for sweetness, and 50% is often pretty sweet. Because of that, I have opted to get 0% sweetness, which isn't sweet enough. I really hope they bring in a 25% option in the future! If you're looking for a late-night excursion in the Bay Area (where everything is usually closed by 9), I highly recommend Pekoe! read more

It's okay - could be better, could be worse. I was craving some late night boba while in the area so we decided to stop by Pekoe. I had heard and seen photos of the other location and always wanted to go. The ambiance is very club-y and could be a cool hang out spot for a group of friends that want to go out but not deal with crowds at a bar/club. When we arrived around 9:45 pm on a Saturday night, though, it was weirdly empty. Maybe because the rest of the plaza closes before then? So basically it was like entering a club before the party starts. It's great that they've got lots of specialty drink options but I don't think they've got any other milk options; we weren't able to substitute since they said it's premade. We got the foxy brown and pekoe special. The drinks were pretty sweet even after lowering sweetness. Overall the flavors were also meh. I didn't finish my drink because I wasn't a huge fan. At $6.50 per drink, it wouldn't be my first choice for boba if I was in the area craving it again. read more

Cute modern interior decorated with club/lounge vibes. There's a giant TV covering almost the entirety of one of the walls. They had a fair amount of drink choices, ranging from milk teas to fruit teas and smoothies. No snacks, just drinks only. They have some fun drink names, but are ultimately pretty common flavors (earl grey, thai tea, oolong, etc). The oolong (let's get high) and earl grey (pekoe special) were both solid flavors but super sweet even at half sugar (wish they had a 25% option). The grass jelly felt a bit missing in the oolong (didn't get much of it) and the coffee jelly was pretty decent. The honey boba in the pekoe special was overcooked and had lost its chew factor. All in all, the staff was really nice and patient. There were not many people in here despite it being mid-day on the weekend and there's plenty of parking in the shared lot, but the drinks didn't stand out and wouldn't be my first choice for milk tea. read more
(Tom Cruise voiceover) The vibe is THE hippest place for late night milk tea/coffee/boba! My gosh and this place is in the safest town in the USA. That's Sunnyvale! And yes, its because of DPS. Jamie warmly greeted me. I needed to get some scientific reading down. And I focus best in a cafe with background noise that I push out and help me get in that academic flow state. The humongous entire wall sized TV screen as well as the couple engaged in PDA really helped me focus. Everything disappears when I get in the book. Needed high caffeine content. Yes. You know my sordid relationship with phosphodiesterase inhibitors. Cyclic AMP loves me. Caffeine is a key ingredient in making my academic accomplishments as well as exploits legendary. Got "Lets Get High" (On Oolong) and "French Chicks" The mademoiselles behind le counter knew exactement what je besoin. How's that for Frenglish? The things I've learned in cryostasis. Let's Get High was superb. Love that oolong flavor. The jelly was perfect. The French Chicks was great as well, mais en verite je préfère les mademoiselles Chinois. Shhhh. It was hoppin'! The wall sized music vids got me in the proper relaxed mental state. Tons of folks walked in. Perfect! And I indulged my very deep urge to drink a Cuppo Vo. Vietnamese coffee has been on my mind since our first "hi." Only drinking her entirety would quench my thirst. 3...2...1. We have ignition. Cognitive processing optimized. Info download commencing at maximal bandwidth. Pekoe, just like my fave IG supermodel, is a paradigm shifting experience where we get to know the depths, feelings, and lore behind the lyrics of our fave songs. Alexithymia no more. Just experience it. Vraiment! And yes, Jamie made Taylor Swift happen on the big screen: you know I won't ever tell and I could see you being my addiction you can see me as a secret mission As in Mission Impossible Part 2 coming soon to a theatre near you. Would order everything again! Merci beaucoup, Jamie! Super mega big thanks! And yes, among a plethora of other things, I learned the nuanced roles the amygdala, thalamus, and regions of the frontal cortex play in the neuropathophysiology of trauma. Books. They are beautiful and wondrous things. Maybe I can manifest this perspective into art for you to enjoy on the big screen. That Cuppo Vo was the accelerant I needed for this perfect evening! This review will self-destruct in...(Poof! Puff of smoke.) Woohoo! ___________________________ The Sequel Needed to get more reading done. The sequel to Ikigai called out to me. Had to take THE IKIGAI JOURNEY. Rushed over to my fave spot Pekoe! Analisa warmly greeted me. They were out the Cuppa Vo. What? Had to switch mission parameters. Ran with what Analisa recommended the Blackout. Wow! Refreshingly caffeinated. Slurped it down like there was only the eternal present. She also mentioned Kawaii was her fave. Had to try it. Remarkably refreshing as well in a fruity sweet tart way. mmhmm. And Jasmine was super sweet and even brought it to where I was sitting! My gosh. VIP service! Felt like Tom Cruise...wait. What better way to fuel up than enjoying Blackout n' Kawaii which without doubt will "make the world a kinder and more beautiful place." Cue Taylor Swift's I Can See You. Would order these drinks again! And I know how this story ends...All Too Well. As an aside, I finished reading The Ikigai Journey. Great sections on the meaning of patience, perseverance, and living in the moment. Philosophy, psychology, and poetry in symbiosis. Pekoe is a special place where the staff creates magic with their exceptional service (so different from the ubiquitously impersonal kiosk tablet style boba places). The venue & fab drinks may allow you just the right blend of je ne sais quoi to accomplish nigh superhuman academic feats. Super big mega thanks, Analisa & Jasmine! Woohoo! read more
Pekoe is an obligatory stop whenever I'm back in the Bay Area. They have the best bubble tea around! Cute clean modern space with good lounge areas to enjoy your drinks. Love all the creative flavors and fun drink names. Also really appreciate the option for a split cup cuz I can never settle on just one flavor. This time, I got a split cup of the Thai Tea Whities and the Pretty in Pink, two of my favorites. Although the service was good and the drinks were made quickly, they don't always take the extra precaution to make sure the drinks are completely sealed. It's happened to me a few too many times that I've gotten mention it. When I flipped the drink to mix the contents, there was be spillage because the plastic top cover wasn't completely sealed. Kind of annoying. Although they apologize and re-sealed it, would be better if they were more consistent with checking their drinks before giving it to the customer or just have better drink seals. read more
Visited Pekoe for the first time on a Thursday night after dinner. Loved the vibes, as it was packed with people enjoying boba, and decorated with beautiful lights and great music playing. Despite how busy it was, I was able to order quickly and the drinks came out pretty quickly as well. I ordered two drinks, one for me and one for a friend: - Black Dragon: Roasted formosa oolong tea and pekoe milk cream. Topped with black grass jelly. (This was for my friend.) - Foxy Brown: Award winning black assam milk tea infused with organic golden, brown, demerara and turbinado sugars. Complimented with honey black pearls. (This was for me.) As a huge fan of black assam milk tea, I really enjoyed the Foxy Brown and would recommend it. As a fan of oolong tea, my friend also really enjoyed the Black Dragon. Great first experience and looking forward to returning soon to try other drinks here! read more
What's not to love about Club Pekoe? You've got a large LED screen, a powerful sound system made for EDM, light up tables, a mock fire pit... oh, and the drinks here are pretty good too. This is boba elevated, my friends. Pekoe is one of my favorite boba shops in the South Bay and their new Sunnyvale location is stepping up as its most uninhibited. They know their brand very well - attracting younger folks in their 20s with their hypnotic music and sweet drinks in a rather dingy strip mall area. But you came here for the drinks, right? Pekoe delivers time and time again as some of the best. My favorite drinks to order here are the Pekoe Special (milk tea with notes of lavender and orange) and their Pretty In Pink (strawberry milk tea). Delicious boba on the sweeter side - so definitely ask for 50% or less sugar and you'll still have a solid drink. The boba here is usually always very good too. I absolutely love coming here for their drinks and they stay consistent from location to location. If you're in the area, do not skip over Pekoe. While a bit pricier than other boba chains, they're worth it. read more

Creative names for drinks and lots of different options to choose from for both milk teas, fruit teas, and toppings. There's pretty loud dance music playing with lots of LEDs and a giant flatscreen TV showing music videos, but if you're looking for a boba spot that could also pass for a night club then coming here will be quite an experience LOL Drinks seem abnormally sweet here, not sure if it's just the ones that we ordered but despite getting 50% sweet they were still super syrupy - so if we visit again we might try even less sweet options. My favorites were the Thai-tea whitties and the Angela (Wintermelon tea) read more

Pekoe is located in Sunnyvale. I haven't been keeping up with new Tea places lately. So when I came across this on Yelp, I had to check it out. Having been to the other locations, I had an idea what to expect. The decor was eye-popping. The staff were friendly and engaging as I placed my order. The drinks were ready before I knew it. They were refreshing and tasty. I will return to try out more of their menu. Back to scoping out Tea places! read more

Pekeo's original Man Jose location (S White) has been on my list to go to. But, it wasn't a priority because I wasn't so sure about the *UNCE UNCE UNCE*. With the nightclub vibes (open until midnight) and drinks like "Let's Get High", "Yung Mung-y", and "6lackout", I assumed it would be more for youngins that like hella sweet drinks. You know how them AZN aunties be complaining how everything is "too sweet"? Yea, that's me now. And, it's scary because I sound like my tiger mom. But, I re-read their website/yelp that states: "Pekoe is the only tea bar that allows full drink customization from tea strength, flavor strength, cream level, sweetness, and ice level." Ya had me at customizing tea strength...STRONG please! Plus, their original location on S White is the most reviewed boba shop in the South Bay with close to 2,400 reviews...that's more than Boba Guys' most reviewed location in SF (!!!) so that's promising. This weekend is Pekoe's grand opening for their new Sunnyvale location. **** PROMO **** BOGO FREE Drink on 4/16/22 - 4/17/22. Free raffle prizes for the first 100 customers on 4/16/22 including $1000 cash prize. On 4/16/22, I drove by an 1 hour before opening and saw a ridic line of 70-80 deep. Oh hell no, isn't everyone supposed to be at Coachella?! J/k! Left and tried again today since I was in the area and there was no...line...at...all. M E N U * Milk tea, fruit tea, smoothie, coffee; one size only ($6.25-$7.25). --Toppings: boba, white pearls, coffee jelly, grass jelly, egg pudding, milk pudding, green coconut pudding, mango stars, strawberry hearts, basil seeds, aloe vera, etc. (70 cents each). --Sweetness: None, half, and extra sweet. --Dairy: Vegan non-dairy creamer. --Split cups available for drinks ($7.50). Even though it was advertised as BOGO Free Drinks for both 4/16/22 and 4/17/22, I did NOT receive the promo and ended up paying for both drinks. D R I N K S * Split Cup ($7.50) --1/2 Black Dragon: Roasted Formosa Oolong Tea w/ pekoe milk cream, grass jelly ***Requested *strong* tea flavor and half sweet. --1/2 Let's Get High: Dark High Mountain Oolong Milk Tea w/ coffee jelly, grass jelly ***Requested no coffee jelly, *strong* tea flavor, and half sweet. Wasn't a fan of either - both oolong teas were hella bitter and astringent, like over-steeped black tea. Wish there were dairy options like milk, half & half, or oat milk option because I'm not a fan of the aftertaste from non-dairy creamers. * Pretty in Pink: Premium jasmine milk tea infused with strawberry, strawberry hearts, honey black pearls ($6.25) ***Requested *strong* tea flavor and no toppings. Not my drink but I had a sip. It tasted like artificial strawberry milk. Not overly sweet for half sweet but didn't taste much of any tea for *strong* tea. S E R V I C E Super friendly and prompt. No line and received our drinks in less than 5 minutes after ordering. A M B I A N C E Nightclub vibes with hot pink coaches and a massive flat screen TV. P A R K I N G Easy parking in the plaza. Overall, with the very stiff competition in the South Bay (current fav and go-to: Sunright), I found Pekoe's milk teas to be underwhelming. Seems like a cool and trendy place to chill at night though! read more
3.5 stars overall. The staff are very friendly! Lots of parking in the plaza and plenty of seating inside the store. There's a HUGE screen that displays EDM music videos and lots of unique furniture inside... Definitely gives the place a lounge/club vibe. PRO TIP: Ask for less/no ice! They put a ton of ice in those cups... Also, ask for less sweet! 50% is usually a safe bet, but go for 25% if you really don't want to get a cavity from here. Their drinks are SWEEEEET. KEEP IN MIND: the paper menu on the counter does not have all of the drinks that they display on the TV menus... Maybe take a look at their website to see the full menu? Drinks I have tried: + Pretty in Pink: Their classic and most popular drink! The milk tea is sweet and has a subtle tea flavor. The boba is SO GOOD and sweetened well, so I recommend getting 50% or 25% sugar. This also comes with strawberry jellies, but no heart-shaped ones??? + Brass Monkey: This was just okay. Watered down milk tea and the grass jelly isn't very sweet or herbal tasting. The banana flavor was decent, but I wouldn't recommend it. + Thai Tea Whities: This drink beat my expectations! Very fragrant thai tea flavor (a slight matcha flavor?) with a fluffy thick crema on top! Too good to be true. Not to mention, the milk pudding is INCREDIBLE! Milky, not too sweet, and the perfect texture. I would definitely recommend this drink to anyone. + Kawaii: OH MY GOD. This drink is way too sweet. Literal sugar overload! Definitely get this drink 25% sweetness... maybe 0% sweet... The tea in this drink is very subtle, so only order this if you love artificial fruity drinks and don't care for the tea flavor. read more
