Tropical sunrise, watermelon breeze, earth matcha. (Left to right)
Yuki A.

Inside: Cozy, nice interior, enough seating. I went around 7 PM so it wasnt too crowded so we could get seats easily. Service was fine too, nothing too extraordinary. Drink: We got three drinks and they were really nice for the hot weather. An earth matcha, coconut breeze, and tropical sunrise. The matcha was nice, not too watery, the salted foam was a nice touch. The coconut breeze was refreshing with all the jellies and fresh watermelon. The tropical sunrise was the best, the flavors of the guava and lemon were really rich and it was like a slushie. Nice drinks, around $10 each though so a bit pricy. Overall, really nice interior, nice drinks, nice everything!! ..

They have a range of refreshing drinks and puddings. They're not overly sweet and taste fresh. I stop by, whenever I pass a tong sui. Many of their drinks are non caffeinated and vegan. The best part about their puddings is that they don't use gelatin. I'm very sensitive to gelatin and it usually complicates eating puddings for me. But not this one. I could just keep buying from here.

This is my first time trying coconut pudding desserts! So delicious, light, and refreshing. We ordered the milky persimmon, coconut ice, and tropical sunrise. All the drinks were not too sweet yet well balanced! I highly recommend the coconut ice or their coconut pudding, genuinely you can't go wrong with that! Drinks: 10/10 delicious Customer service: 9/10 friendly, fast (ordered via kiosk) Parking: 8/10 (okay can get packed during busy hours) Ambiance: 7/10 (a bit small)

Coco Avocado and Mango Avocado

Love this place! They have the best refreshing drinks and my go to is the Coco Avocado less sweet with coconut milk. My other go-tos are the mango avocado drink and the nutty noir. The coconut pudding is also really good and we like to save the jars to get 1 free one for returning 10 jars. We will be back!

Mango Coconut Pudding (Vegan)

I haven't had Tong Sui since the Cupertino location closed because of the fire, but I was really craving coconut pudding, so I decided to order it here. There was plenty of parking, the staff were super friendly, and my order was ready when I got there. The location is a bit further away, but it's definitely worth the drive. My favorite item here is the Double Layer Coconut Pudding (Vegan), but I wanted to try something new, so I got the Pinky Coco (Less Sweet option) and Mango Coconut Pudding (Vegan). The mango puree on top is good, but nothing beats the coconut pudding layer. I'm a big coconut fan and love the flavor and consistency of the pudding. It's not too sweet, and the coconut flavor really comes through.

yummy! I love this place -- I always get a mango mochi and the corn cheese garlic bread. My friend put me on, and I've been coming back to this location ever since!

Amazingl!! Love Tong sui Sunnyvale. Workers are wonderful too. Highly recommend for bobas and desserts.

Got a black sesame hojicha latte with boba for to-go. The tapioca bobas were old and stale! As a reputable store that charges premium price, how can they serve bad boba without checking? Dissapointing. Won't give them any more business.

Great service! The atmosphere was super cool and the staff was so friendly! Overall fresh flavors. I've been here before for a yelp event and the e quality is consistent!

Tong sui is a yummy place to stop by if you're looking for seasonal, fresh, low sugar dessert. They are known for their coconut puddings and drinks. My go-to's are the mango mochi pudding and avocado mango smoothie. I came here with my cousin (the attached photo is not just all for me I swear) and every person left happy. My sister even discovered they sell bread. Parking situation is super easy.

Yumminess!

Tong Sui is awesome and we especially love their Sunnyvale location. Customer service and the desserts are top notch. We are always greeted with a smile and offered great suggestions! Pro tip: check out their seasonal drinks

Coconut water with sesame foam

Tried the new coconut water with black sesame foam. It is good but my favorite is still the avocado coconut. I always visit when I'm in the Bay as there are no locations in So Cal. Please come and create your own adventure.

I love the pudding here, all the classic Asian flavors and some standouts like earl grey. The toppings go great with the coconut base! The drinks I don't care for as much. Most of them feel a bit watery even without ice. We were offered samples of the coconut pudding which I haven't gotten at any other location before. I thought it was great. The server was nice. There's some seating and it wasn't crowded on the weekday evening. The tables probably too small and few but I guess you only need to fit a small pudding or drink on it.

Ask the Community - Tong Sui

Does anyone know the macros on these low calorie, low sugar puddings ? I don't see any info on how much sugar, etc is in here

Are the puddings gluten free?

Yes.

When will the mango mochi daifuku balls be back?!

Do they sell eggett waffles?

Not that I've seen unfortunately

Is the mango pudding out of season now? when will it be back

It is back now, The store said they r using/ Campaign mango season!

Do you take back the glass jars if we bring them back to the stores?

Yes! They also have a program where you can get a free pudding if you bring 10 of the glass jars back :)

What is vegan? To clarify, items that have no milk or eggs at all.

They currently have a seasonal ube and purple rice coconut milk drink that's vegan. The daifuku is vegan, as well as their sago desserts and coconut ice bomb. Almost everything else has at least dairy in it.

Where are the ingredients? Do you use gelatin, what kind? Canned coconut milk? Any organic ingredients? No added sugar's? Thank you

We use fresh coconut water, organic lactose free milk, and agar to make coconut pudding. For signature flavor, no additional sugar is added. For others, we put less organic honey or cane sugar to better the taste.

How do I open the plastic jar containers? I'm a guy and it's still difficult and not intuitive on how to open

Is it the liquid dessert container? We had trouble too. After you twist off the cap there is a lid laid on top where you pull up gently.

Do the coconut puddings contain dairy?

Yes, we use organic lactose free milk to make coconut puddings.

What app do they use to deliver?

Nextdish, Ubereats, Doordash, Grubhub, 熊猫, 饭团, Chowbus

How many is in a box? Can we choose the flavors? How much is it?

Box size varies depending on how many jars you order. I know they have a box for 4 or 6 jars for sure. You can choose the flavors. See their website for flavors and prices but largely range from $8-10 per jar.

Is there any extra added sugar in the pudding or is it just the sweetness from the coconut water/milk?

The owner told me that there's no artificial sugar added, everything is naturally made. I'm sure the sweetness comes from the coconut itself. Hope this helps!

Hi, is this pudding vegan?

Yes

What's the shelf life for the puddings when refrigerated? Do you have to eat them on the same day?

The pudding with fresh fruits (like lychee, coconut shell, peach, etc.) can last for 1-2 days in the refrigerator. For the rest, they can last for 4-5 days.

I had ordered my dad's birthday cake from here back in 2024 (salted yolk/pork sung/matcha mix…read morecake), and it was absolutely delicious! This time I decided to stop by here after dinner, my first time sitting down here and ordering. The inside is very clean, modern, and Pinterest-like. They added more decorations and seating from 2 years ago, making the inside more aesthetic. whaT's More always has unique Asian flavors, like durian, earl grey, pandan, red bean, and oolong. The cakes are not too sweet, so definitely Asian parent approved haha! Unfortunately, when we came around 6:30pm, they were sold out of most flavors - so would definitely recommend coming earlier or just ordering online earlier in the morning for pickup. We got the sesame dark chocolate crepe cake. When you eat in the store, the owner provides you with free cups of tea, which are really great for washing down the cake. The chocolate was super rich, and they did not skimp out on the flavor - super chocolatey. The sesame added such a fun earthy and nutty flavor - I thoroughly enjoyed it! The cake is on the slightly denser side, so was super filling. While on the pricier side, the flavors are super unique and the craft that goes into crepe cakes is commendable. I will be ordering my next cake from here again!

The place was situated in a quiet plaza just outside of Lawrence Expressway. There's ample parking but it doesn't feel like the location is suitable for a cafe where you can picture sitting inside looking through some big windows facing a busy pedestrian walkway. However, once I stepped inside, I was surprised at how zen and peaceful the decorations were and how fitting it was for a cozy and quiet cafe hangout. The cake shelf was surprisingly busy. And this is where I took one star out because the lines were confusing and the staff skipped me to talk to the group behind me while I was clearly the next to be helped. Luckily another staff member came out from the back kitchen and jumped in to help. The staff spoke fluent mandarin. I was interested in their box cakes. A few of the yelpers raved about their soy milk cake and luckily they had one out for sampling. It was covered with lots of cream and the cake layer was soft and moist, but it was still slightly too sweet for me and I felt that it lacked the tofu kind of soy flavor. Then, I spotted on their menu that they have a black sesame matcha box cake, and black sesame is always my favorite, so I asked for it. They had the last one left! The staff said she had never tried it so she couldn't tell me if it is less sweet than the soy milk cake. Since it was the last one available and I already sampled the soy cake, I decided to give it a try. I am happy that I did. The cake was filled with matcha mousse and tasted light and aromatic with the jasmine kind of matcha flavor. It is definitely less sweet. Unfortunately, it doesn't have as much black sesame as I'd like. But overall, the cake flavor is the kind that I like, subtle, moist, and not too sweet. $38 for a box cake of 4x4 is a bit pricey, but I'm glad that I gave it a try. The cakes were freshly made and tasted best the same day of purchase. They also recommend refrigerating the cake and consuming it within a day or two.

The portion size was good to share between two people. The toast was yummy but does have a sweeter taste profile due to the honey drizzle on top. Overall a great experience! We got the red bean and the strawberry flavors - the portions were very large for a bay-area reasonable price of less than $15 item. It was my first visit and honestly, I was a bit disappointed; while there were lots of fresh fruits, I found the flavor bland and not sweet enough - which may be someone's jam? I wished it had more condensed milk to give it a more creamy flavor. The shaved ice was beautiful and fluffy - i'd say this is the main draw that may bring me back to try new flavors. There is plenty of seating inside for tables of two or even small groups. Parking can be difficult since many popular establishments are in the same strip mall so plan ahead for parking time.

The shop has a bright, clean interior with a casual atmosphere that makes it an easy place to stop for a refreshing dessert. Seeing stacks of fresh mangoes behind the counter immediately gave me confidence that the fruit would be one of the highlights of the experience. The mango desserts were easily the best part of my visit. I tried the Pomelo & Mango with Sago, which combined sweet mango, creamy coconut milk, chewy sago, and fresh pomelo for a refreshing balance of flavors and textures. I also enjoyed the Mango Chewy Ball, where the fresh mango and smooth mango juice paired perfectly with the soft, chewy rice balls. Both desserts felt light while still being satisfying, making them a great option on a warm day. I also had the chance to try a few of the other menu items. The mango mochi was fresh and soft, with ripe mango wrapped inside a delicate chewy layer. For something different, the spicy chili fish balls offered a savory contrast to the fruit desserts, adding a bit of heat and a springy texture that balanced out all of the sweetness. The ordering process was quick and straightforward, and my food arrived not long after I found a table. The dining area was clean and comfortable, and small touches like providing wet wipes made the experience feel a little more thoughtful. It is the kind of place where you can stop in for a quick dessert or stay a little longer while sharing a few different items with friends. Overall, Hui Lau Shan is a great spot for anyone looking for fresh, fruit-forward desserts with authentic Hong Kong flavors. The quality of the mangoes, the variety of textures, and the relaxed atmosphere made it a place I would happily return to whenever I was craving something refreshing.
