Ambience cute. One long bench for seating, but no table to eat. Not sure if we're able to touch that instrument. Service is great. One Ipad to self order and the employees were nice. Strawberry Matcha Latte: pretty good. Not that much strawberry as I was expecting and drink was pretty small, but did the job. Fried Octopus: Now this surprised me. I was oddly craving this, and it definitely did not disappoint. It was surprisingly so delicious that I am considering coming back just for this. 7.5/10 would recommend. Wasn't the best/worst boba I've ever had, but the ambience and fried Octopus got me lol read more

Best boba on Castro! The fruity flavors are a must-try, especially mango pomelo sago is a staple go-to :)

Really cute decor! Cherry blossom tree. Bunny mural. Special Chinese instrument. Minus 1/2 understaffed but then are hiring! Minus 1/2 their stuffies for boba with stuffy are NOT as cute as the LA store. Mine had Jay Leno chin. Boba delicious, chewy, jelly yum, tea great would love 10% 20% and no calories sweetener options (no one has this, but it be great if they did) Cute place. Yummy Boba and good tea. read more

Overall the drinks are super yummy I love how everything is pink and the staff are pretty nice. The only thing I really have a problem with is how long I've had to wait every time I go and there have been many times I see people who ordered after us get their drinks first. It's a little unfair but I guess I understand, I'll still keep coming back though lol read more

I really liked this place. I stumbled upon this place while walking around the downtown and had really liked the colors used to decorate this place. They have option to order yourself through a POS or by placing order with the staff. I ordered Oreo Creme Brulee Boba Milk Tea with light ice and 30% sugar. I think I could have skipped sugar in this drink because Oreo and creme brûlée made it sweet already. The interior is surely very pretty though not a lot of place to sit, so you may pick your drink and walk out. I liked this place and the drink, I'd surely visit this place and recommend you to try too. read more

Nice folks, good food. Really appreciate the friendly service! By the way, the popcorn chicken comes in flavors now

I've gone back more than once this past month ever since they introduced jasmine milk tea to their menu! -i appreciate their service! They are attentive and fast when i would ask for water/straws etc. one time i had to ask for no toppings and they were able to remake the drink for me -ume tea ambience is always very pink and cute, i remember it stood out to me before i started drinking their jasmine milk tea :) read more

You order from a screen and don't interact with anyone The line takes a while because people order from one screen and I wish it was cleaned between customers because it gets really sticky. The boba came out perfect, and the milk tea was delicious I got their basic house tea and I really enjoyed it! It was very tea-y and I really enjoyed that. I think the price is steep for the quantity you get and I do wish the store was cleaner in general. There are straw wrappers everywhere and most surfaces are sticky. I liked it overall, there is room for improvement but I'd come back! read more

3.5 stars really. My first time here I got the passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly and half sweetness. It was pretty good! But nothing super special just standard boba Id say. Vibe is cute so much pink inside! Service is self kiosk and I could barely hear my name as they called out so that was frustrating but overall decent. read more

i've stopped in here a few times and it always hits the spot. yi fang down the street uses all natural ingredients, but their line can get a little insane. the service here is quick and friendly. it's a little stuffy and loud inside sometimes, when it's busy. have i had better, yeah, but ume is super serviceable and i'm glad they exist downtown read more

Came here on a Tuesday night and ordered four drinks on the kiosks. The store was extremely stuffy with zero air circulation. There were 20+ people waiting for their drinks and a lot of us were complaining to one another on how hot it was as well as the wait time. My four drinks ended up taking 30 minutes. A couple next to me waited 45 minutes and never received their drink. They finally flagged a server down to get a refund. We could see several people in the back making drinks but hardly any were coming out. Drinks themselves were good, but I wouldn't come again unless there was no wait. read more

Food we ordered: Unagi bento, teriyaki chicken bento, popcorn chicken, and braised ground pork bento. Everyone was happy with their orders. Super delicious and the portions are super generous! Drinks we got: bunny surprise Oreo creme brûlée milk tea, bunny surprise peach oolong milk tea, passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly and boba, and a house milk tea with brown sugar boba and mochi. Everyone else loved their drinks, but... I added mochi to my milk tea. Is it supposed to be slimy?! The texture threw me off. The 30% sweetness was perfect but I could not get over the sliminess and did not finish it. It kept giving me the heebie jeebies everytime I took a sip and filled my mouth with what felt like phlegm. Sorry, just needed to share in case anyone else is curious about trying drinkable mochi. read more

Slowest boba experience ever. Waited about 25 min for a drink that wasn't blended properly. Ordered the Taro Latte w/ coconut and added mochi to it; all the taro was clumped together at the bottom. I got all the taro in the first two sips, leaving the rest of the drink basically just milk. Not a good Ume location.. read more

This is my first time in a Ume Tea and I love the store design and vibe. Plus they had free milk tea samples they have on the front! I got the Blossom Tea. It was great, but more milk than jasmine. Place is crowded (as expected) on a Saturday afternoon. They don't provide napkins/tissues. There's no explicit menu available until you get to the ordering kiosk, so the ordering line may take a while to move along as some people may not know what to order yet. Staff is kind and professional, order pickup process is very efficient and organized read more

I think this location is the prettiest ume tea so far in the Bay Area that I've tried. I've checked out Fremont, Newark, and Palo Alto locations so far and I think this one has more IG worthy decor that you can take with your drink. It's located in downtown Mountain View, the street was blocked off for pedestrians so find parking a block or so away and walk here. Upon walking in you're greeted with a bunny statue and you'll see pretty walk painting to your right, and a pretty Ume light sign to your left. There are no tables/chairs but they have "bench" type seating against the right wall. I thought the popcorn chicken here tasted better than the other location - so crispy and flavorful! I loved their fried octopus! I actually enjoyed it more than the popcorn chicken, although both were very tasty. The portions were HUGE so I shared them with my family. I got the surprise bunny milk tea with regular milk tea, 30% sweet, light ice, and boba. It wasn't too sweet and it came with a cute bunny plushy! My friend got a cute plushy as well. So if you're looking for cute plushies, check this place out! I also tried a bucket of fresh green fruit tea - wow so good! I loved the real fruits infused in the green tea. I can drink this for days! My husband almost killed the whole bucket himself across two days. I'd love to come here again if I'm ever in the Mountain View area! read more

I couldn't resist their super cute bunny logo on the cups. O R D E R E D - Longan Chrysanthemum Slushy - Mega Fruit Tea - Grape Smoothie Non-Alcoholic Heineken with Crystal Boba V E R D I C T I love crystal boba on anything, and the grape smoothie drink was refreshing and light. However, it is not OVERLY fruity, and if that's something you're expecting, then you should try another drink of theirs. When I say overly fruity, I mean a strong fruit flavor like strawberry or peach. The grape flavor is light, but you will taste the bubbly texture. The longan drink, even tho its a slushy, is very refreshing, I never regret ordering that. read more

Ume Tea is hands-down my new favourite spot for milk tea! Their peach milk tea is out of this world--perfectly balanced, refreshingly fruity, and just the right amount of creamy. Customer service: 1 star!! Drinks: 3 stars Average point: 2 stars I came in on Monday night when there was one customer ahead me. There were two workers in the kitchen, and we had to order ourselves using the touch pad, which should be no issue. Problem came up when I could not pay with my card. At check out, there was a message :"Card reader is not connected. Please type in your phone number and we will send you a link to pay." What does this mean?!! Why do they make it so hard to check out. We came in store to order and expect to get help from someone, or at least pay directly and not through my phone. I called out for help and one worker came out to check the system, it still didn't work. She tried to did something under the cabinet but nothing changed. Then she finally went to the registrar and rung me up. I was like... why didn't you do that earlier!!?? There was no online order or anything that could keep them busy, and I saw that the two workers were just chatting, they could just ring me up in the first place to avoid any delay from equipment failure. I finally got my order after a while, and unfortuntely they mistook my order. I asked for 2 drinks with 30% sweet and one drink 50% sweet, but I finally got all 30% sweetness. Their drinks were just ok, a taste of milk tea that I could easily get from where elses. read more

They ran out of ketchup packets, didn't have an option to sprinkle powdered spice on the popcorn chicken, and don't tell you that the order of tempura shrimp is actually 4 pieces with French fries underneath it.
