Came here t try their boba tea. I ordered the lychee watermelon green tea with salted cream and crystal boba, I paid extra for both of those toppings but I got neither. It was a Togo order so I should've checked more carefully. However , it's clearly written on the order, right on the cup! read more

Ume Tea - Lychee & Watermelon Green Tea (S1) with salted cream and crystal boba , unfortunately I didn't get either cream or crystal boba. - Bubble Tea Near Me - Mountain View, California

The drinks and snacks are great just like all the other Ume's, however the time it takes for them to complete an order is ridiculously long. Three separate times it took about 30-45mins to get 2 drinks and 1 snack. The whole store and even outside the store is always filled with people waiting. Would recommend a different Ume location if you would like to get your order within 45mins of ordering. read more

I love visiting this location for Ume Tea. They have lots of seating both inside and outside. The people at the counter and really helpful and friendly. There is also, the option to use a kiosk. There are lots of photo opps to get cute pictures. They have so many items on the menu from good curly fries, chicken strips, popcorn chicken etc. I really liked all the selections of drinks. We ordered the strawberry yogurt slushie, the ube milk tea with pudding and the strawberry matcha with a scoop of matcha ice cream. Everything tasted so good! I also, love all the merch for sale they have several reusable cups, bags and even cute plushie key chains. I will definitely return and will recommend this place. Stop by if you are in the area it is worth the stop. read more

Super weird this place has 1 iPad to take orders. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to order.

This establishment is dishonest. They sent me a coupon for free Tiramisu Matcha Latte which expires November 30, 2025 but when I went to buy this on November 23, 2025, they would not accept the coupon. read more

I love Ume Tea! Super cute decorations, friendly service, and the mango slush always hits :)

Original Popcorn Chicken - never received order I ordered popcorn chicken using their kiosk. I received a text confirming the order was in-progress immediately afterwards. I received a text 25 minutes later saying my order was ready. I proceeded to the front counter - no one working the front counter. About 5 minutes later a gentleman appeared, I asked to him "I received a text message that my order is ready, #107474. What's your name - I gave him my name", "Not ready yet", reserving 30 minutes for an order of popcorn chicken is definitely enough time. They weren't that busy - I had to leave to take my daughter to her music lesson down the street. I never picked up my popcorn chicken. read more

The Drinks are ok, BUT...every table and seat dirty and/or sticky, garbage overflowing to the point where there's no place to put garbage, LOUD obnoxious music, NO bathroom. read more

Perfect after-dinner treat spot on Castro St. Lively decor, lots of cute stuff and stuffed bunnies for sale. You order at a kiosk, which is slow because people are looking over all their options (-1*). However, the drinks are great, the prices and service are good and there are nice benches to enjoy your boba. If they had a person taking orders (which would be much faster) it would definitely be a 5*. Still, a great place for boba. read more

Lychee and peach slush 4/5. Grape green tea with grape jelly 5/5x Ambience cute but not enough seating - only 5 tables inside and no outdoor seating. Service is usually slow because of long lines. Today was fast because no line at Sunday 6pm. Highlight and unique tip about this boba place is they have lots of cute bunny plushies for sale! read more

Visited after an early dinner with my husband and toddler. There is still quite a bit of a wait for drinks here, so that hasn't changed much. My toddler doesn't have much patience but he did enjoy playing with the giant rabbit, and the nice staff gave him a little bunny keychain to play with. That helped with keeping him distracted while we waited for our drinks. The music was upbeat so it helped us get my baby into a little dance too (although I can't say it was my type of music). So I got Brown Sugar Boba Premium Oolong Milk Tea 大红袍奶茶 and I convinced my husband to order Mango Melon Breeze 芒果西西. I think my oolong drink was good, except even at 15% sweetness it's way too sweet. When it's too sweet, I can't taste the tea... The tapioca itself was decent. the Mango Melon drink was interesting. We had to take a second look when we saw it was mango and WATERMELON. It definitely grew on us over time; to me, it started off mango, then watermelon, and then durian (without the smell of course). Somehow the name doesn't really do the flavor justice -- it's an interesting combination. Also, note to self to pick no ice. Light ice is still too much ice. :/ read more

Drink was super refreshing and I could taste all the bits of fruit which added to a healthy blend towards the sweetness of the smoothie. Recommended if looking to get a light snack. read more

The decorations here looks so cute. The workers here are nice and friendly. The drinks here are good and tasty. The surprise plushies are a waste of money because your drink is small. You can literally take the drink cup out and you will see the plushies without opening the bottom. You have to pay extra for the plushies and you might not get what you want. read more

Tammy was very patient with me, I have a very low tolerance to sugar. When I asked if she could remake the drink multiple times, she made sure the drink was perfect for me. Cannot recommend the customer service enough here and got a great drink! Highly recommend the watermelon lychee drink to other people who have a low sugar tolerance. read more

Ume Tea had a special $3.99 for jasmine floral milk tea and 30% or 100% sweetness black milk tea. This is so cheap for boba so we decided to get the specials! I liked the 30% sweetness drink (maybe a tad too sweet but still palatable) and the boba was nice and chewy. I've had Ume Tea in Fremont before too and have generally felt like Ume is a fine solid bubble tea shop. read more

Loved the theming and amazing drinks and snacks. Not your run of the mill tea place. The drinks were very creative and blended just right. The snacks were delicious and unfortunately didn't last long enough to be photographed. I ordered the popcorn chicken and the black sugar glutinous rice cake. The staff member working the counter was also very friendly and helpful. I see you Mountain View! Will definitely come back when in the area. read more

Dear lord. Don't come here if you are expecting to get your drink/food within 10-15 min like most milk tea places. Try 45 minutes to an hour's wait for two fruit teas and an order of popcorn chicken and fried mushroom. That is way too long of a wait. I can maybe understand if it were a one time thing, but this is the second time this has happened now. And to add insult to injury, the mushrooms were cold. Really?? I was hungry, and I thought I'd get something quick but tasty, and I ended up with nothing. I ended up asking for a refund because I did not want to wait an additional 45 minutes for food. They only refunded me for the food. What about the time I spent waiting??? Ume, you need to staff up or post expected wait times somewhere so people know whether they can afford to wait for your food/drink or not. I like their tea and food, which is why I gave them another chance after this happened the first time, but after this second time? Forget it. I'll find another milk tea place on Castro to give my money. read more

It was super duper hot day so my husband and I went to get some cold drinks at Ume Tea. I was craving for a good mango sago drink and it was pretty good! My husband got a grape tea with jelly drink and we both had it 50% sugar level and they were perfect! If you are "sweet but not too sweet" person, I would recommend go with 70% above for sweetness. 50% has just hint of the sweetness. The store is cute, no tables but has a single long seating on the wall. The inside of the store had no AC. The drinks came out pretty fast. read more

Actually really liked my mochi red bean milk tea. I was hoping the red bean flavor would be part of the milk tea bout this was still good. The red bean helps neutralize the sweetness of the milk tea. The mochi was also just delicious. I appreciate that it was really mochi instead of boba. Overall, wouldn't mind coming back again if I was in the area read more

Best boba shop in the Bay!! I'll always come back for the Mango pomelo Sago, 30% is the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. The order process is super easy, you order from the self-kiosk, and they will call your name or order number when it's done. The shop has four tables, and has a nice ambiance with music and lots of pink. read more

Nah. Tea flavors and combinations are terrible. Never again going back. Customer service is ok. Ambiance is ok.

On a weekday night I was surprised this place was quite busy. Despite them being backed up in orders, the service was INCREDIBLE. This probably explains why it's packed! Milk Tea w/ drinkable mochi - After a few tries, this is not too bad Mango Pamelo - Safe choice and definitely can't go wrong. Anyways, I definitely recommend y'all stop by and try out their drinks! read more

The Summer special is the Peach series. We got Lychee Peach Slushies and it's just right for the hot weather outside. I also tried the Mango Pomelo Sago and with less sugar and it's perfect. The popcorn chicken is just the right amount of seasoning and crispiness. I would definitely go back to get other drinks. There is a kiosk where you put in your own orders so do that when you get to the counter. You can order ahead, which I recommend so you don't have to wait a long time for your drinks. It's a pretty popular spot so most orders are to go orders. My only suggestion for the store is cleanliness for the seating area. There were trash on the floor and seats and tables were not wiped down. read more

I really do love me some ume tea! I love how they have all these locations that are poppin up all across the bay area! Ume is know for their cute surprise cups and cute interior designs filled with cuteness and photo ops! Ended coming to this location due to my too good to go pick up. I got a variety of different bobas. they had a mixture of mochi or boba or both in them. I want to say they were all a milk tea blend of some type with one with a mild citrus flavor to it. Staff had it all ready to go and packed it up for me to take asap once I checked in. it was fast, easy, and quick. DEF a fan and cant wait for my next visit to Ume Tea! read more

Yummy bubble tea! I got the uji matcha latte and my boyfriend got the mochi black milk tea. One star taken off because my boyfriend really struggled to drink his tea with the mochi layer clogging up the straw. The matcha was good but at 50% sweetness was much less sweet than other places at 50%, so keep that in mind if you like the sweetness. read more

Passed by this place and was excited to try it, but we were sadly disappointed. The ambiance was cute with all the pink decorations. A few places to sit but there was trash on the table, chairs, and floor. They offer food which seemed popular but we only got drinks. -White peach oolong fresh milk tea with boba (1/5 stars): Tastes nothing like white peach or oolong. Super sweet and lacked tea flavor. Boba was the best part. -Brown sugar boba oolong milk tea (1/5 stars): Super watery and lacked flavor. Couldn't taste the brown sugar. Boba was the best part. -Lychee and watermelon green tea with boba (2/5 stars): -Sweeter than I expected; I got the default sweet so maybe adjust if you want it less sweet. Boba was good. Lychee flavor overpowered watermelon flavor. I'm glad we gave it a try, but it wasn't for us. read more

Super slow service and a bit disorganized. Some peoples orders were not called out so many were waiting. However folks who ordered behind us just kept going up to see if their order was ready so got theirs ahead of mine. They need more staff or training to get ahead. Strange since it's an automated ordering system and probably had 8 people ordering so it wasn't packed. Lots of pickup orders tho. Just need a more efficient process. Their tea and food is super good so if you're ok waiting around for 20-30 minutes then it's fine. read more
