The Summer special is the Peach series. We got Lychee Peach Slushies and it's just right for the hot weather outside. I also tried the Mango Pomelo Sago and with less sugar and it's perfect. The popcorn chicken is just the right amount of seasoning and crispiness. I would definitely go back to get other drinks. There is a kiosk where you put in your own orders so do that when you get to the counter. You can order ahead, which I recommend so you don't have to wait a long time for your drinks. It's a pretty popular spot so most orders are to go orders. My only suggestion for the store is cleanliness for the seating area. It was super duper hot day so my husband and I went to get some cold drinks at Ume Tea. I was craving for a good mango sago drink and it was pretty good! My husband got a grape tea with jelly drink and we both had it 50% sugar level and they were perfect! If you are "sweet but not too sweet" person, I would recommend go with 70% above for sweetness. 50% has just hint of the sweetness. The store is cute, no tables but has a single long seating on the wall. The inside of the store had no AC. The drinks came out pretty fast. read more

I really do love me some ume tea! I love how they have all these locations that are poppin up all across the bay area! Ume is know for their cute surprise cups and cute interior designs filled with cuteness and photo ops! Ended coming to this location due to my too good to go pick up. Super slow service and a bit disorganized. Some peoples orders were not called out so many were waiting. However folks who ordered behind us just kept going up to see if their order was ready so got theirs ahead of mine. They need more staff or training to get ahead. Strange since it's an automated ordering system and probably had 8 people ordering so it wasn't packed. Lots of pickup orders tho. Just need a more efficient process. I was SO excited to check out this spot. I scanned the QR code just outside the store and ordered the pistachio jasmine green tea while my husband got the ume milk tea with boba. Upon coming inside, I saw they had a rose pistachio tea (my two all time favorite flavors!). I would have loved to order that instead, but unfortunately, they didn't have it on their QR code menu, only if you ordered at the kiosk inside. Had I known, I would have happily ordered inside. On top of that, there was no one working there to be able to cancel my order. We ended up waiting 30 minutes to get our tea...when it finally came out they said it was because they had run out of jasmine tea and had to make it fresh. I so wish someone had come out and called our name because I would have happily just ordered the drink I actually wanted instead! Instead, we just kept waiting and when we'd ask, we were told it would be out soon. They did give us a $2 off coupon for next visit after seeing I probably wasn't thrilled. I appreciate the coupon, but it was not a good experience at all and I'm not sure if a $2 discount will be quite enough to bring me back. The tea itself was ok, not great. Got the spicy chicken nuggets and strawberry matcha slushie. It took 15-20 minutes to get our order. The nuggets were fresh and hot. The strawberry matcha slushie was so delicious! This is downtown Mountain View's newest boba shop and Ume's latest Bay Area location. I ordered something I've never seen or tried from their menu, the UME惊喜杯 Bunny Surprise Milk Tea, which is your choice between white peach oolong, osmanthus oolong, and black milk tea. It's like a blind box and boba drink combined into one! So if you're like me and enjoy those two things, this will give you that boost of serotonin LOL. It comes in this tall paper cup that has the image of their in-store mural printed all over. The fun, "blind box" part is tearing off the bottom of the cup to reveal your surprise. Yeah it's a little gimmicky, you're pretty much paying an extra two bucks for a plush keychain, but it's pretty cute and the boba was actually really good. They have the different plush keychains hanging behind the counter so you can see what the different kinds are. There was only one ordering tablet available during this visit so there was quite a wait. Although, I did see the register next to it look open, but the employee behind the counter wasn't calling anyone over to take orders, just calling out names of the orders that were ready. I'm so glad I decided to walk in. I initially thought this place was a social media trap, cute store and horrible drinks, but I was proven wrong. I got the passion fruit green boba and lychee jelly drink and added mochi in it. The mochi was honestly what took this from a four star to a five star as I've never had a boba place perfect mochi. Came here while strolling on Castro street because we wanted a sweet drink and decided on the Thai milk tea crème brûlée add boba. It's a sweet drink for sure and the consistency was thicker than expected. The toppings are good and we didn't have to wait long. There's only one kiosk but since there was only one person ahead of us, once we placed our order we just stood around for a bit until our order was ready. I ordered the lychee peachy green tea slushie which even after mixing, was unevenly distributed that i was getting sweet artificial flavor then no sweetness and the ice was not blended enough, causing me to crunch uncomfortably through most of the drink. Overall the drinks are super yummy I love how everything is pink and the staff are pretty nice.
