Tiki Docks has been around my neighborhood for a few years now. Have tried numerous times, always a let down when it came to food. Sounds, looks good, but below average. Today, went for lunch, had a great meal, experience outside on a nice Florida Saturday, kids got to be free to play within reason. Improved outside with shade was outstanding, good feel! New menu, wonderful, prices were okay as food was worth it. Service was fine- our server had a large table, so there were moments that lacked, but understandably. Manager, visited table twice, once to deliver food and second to check back! Very personable and could relate! Nicely done! We will be back more often. read more

Super amazing environment! Amazing would have been good enough but this is super amazing so you're going to be spoiled. Don't come if you want a boring decor because this place has no boring in any inch of the place. BUT what you just do to enjoy this super amazing environment is either come on a weekday night or for goodness sakes make reservations! I don't know why but apparently a lot of other people want to come to a super amazing place. Go figure. ‍ There are a lot of tiki eats here but I'm going to skip that because you can find them in other reviews. What I want to tell you about is their super inclusive atmosphere: they welcome zombies! Yeah! They have mixed drink called "the Zombie" and they double warn you to don't complain if it's too strong because, well apparently zombies can drink a lot! I mean they are already staggering around so who knows if they are drunk or not. Anyway, I had TWO. (I wasn't driving.) I don't really remember what happened the rest of the evening, so I can't tell you if I ate anyone's brains or not. I have always wanted to visit this place. But not very impressed. The bar is very beautiful with a really nice setting. Idea for a adult birthday party. But that food and drinks is not very good. For appetizers the queso dip kind use some help, the grouper fish tacos was more then a disappointment small enough to feed my 1 old grandkid. And the drink are awful. There is more alcohol in babywipes. DILUTED DILUTED DILUTED. Not good. Plus the waiter must-have not had alot of help cause it took her forever to check on us. We had to flag down other servers for assistance. We don't blame her, she had two areas outside and indoors. I still left her a tip. I don't know if I will go back. read more

They did a great job with the ambiance here - the staff are always friendly (shout out to our server Nico - she was great!) and the drinks are awesome. The food is hit or miss, but the night we went out with coworkers we enjoyed the burger and cheese dip plate. It's a great place to hang out at the end of the day, but is a little on the pricey side. Food tasted fresh and yummy. I had the fish and chips. The fish had a great crunchy tasty batter and the fries were hot, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside just like I like them. It's a very large serving so I had the leftovers today heated in the airfryer and still delicious! Great service by Tori outside while we enjoyed the nice cool weather on the river. We had such a great time here! Sat at the outdoor bar the vibe was lively, breezy, and just perfect for relaxing. Our waiter was super attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. The food was fresh and tasty I'm not a seafood lover myself, but if you are, this place is definitely a must! We went during the week and just missed their 3-6 PM happy hour (bummer!), but that only gives us another reason to come back and try more dishes and drinks. Can't wait to return! read more

What an amazing Mother's Day! The wait was supposed to be 50 minutes but it only ended up being 25 minutes. We sat on the patio, lots of space, great staff, great food. Sitting on the patio was a great choice. We saw plenty of boats go by and some jet ski's as well. I would love to go back again at night to see the patio lit up. The portion size of the shrimp dinner was kind of small, but all the other food was chef's kiss. I had the blackened grouper and everyone said mine was the best food. Would highly recommend for the drinks, atmosphere, and the food. read more

Watermelon margarita is so delicious, not overly sweet but just right, great flavor! So good I had two. My second one came with a slice of watermelon garnish. I had the mini crab cakes and they were delicious and very flavorful. I am not usually a fan of red onions, but this was yummy! A person in the party ordered the cod sandwich and was like WOW! Huge sandwich! He said it was delicious and would definitely order it again. A person in our party ordered the peel and eat shrimp with grits and I was told that it was very flavorful and the cheesy grits were fantastic. A person on our party ordered the grouper sandwich and he loved it and said the crinkle fries were done perfectly. Another person ordered the shrimp tacos and got three and he enjoyed the flavors. My visit here was unplanned and impromptu on a Sunday night. Ambiance: This place is very large. Great view of the river (this IS Riverview, after all) and lots of fans running to keep the air moving. Music from the bar area is focused on 90s hard rock, grunge, ragaee, ska, that sort of thing. The inside does smell like fish, though I can't tell if it is from the river or the kitchen. Service: I was immediately seated outside by my request. My server came within a minute of me sitting down, was super friendly and attentive. Food: First I ordered an unsweetened iced tea with lemon. It was out very fast and while not strong, it is flavorful. I then ordered the scallops and a cheddar burger. None of the sides appealed to me mostly because of the sugar and carbs (and egg) so I ordered the burger without a side. My server did help direct me and seemed concerned that I did not want a side, but stayed very professional! The scallops are high quality and do not disappoint! Seasoned well along with a tasty mango reduction and a little side "salad" I'd recommend it. The cheddar burger is really delicious. Definitely real sharp cheddar and a seasoned burger patty. Pickles/lettice/onion/tomato are fresh. I don't really eat brioche rolls but from what I could tell it's a good roll. My iced tea was refilled! All in all no complaints. A lot of places phone it in on a Sunday night, but not this one. read more

Very light, no texture, no flavor, and a gross bun--not real New England lobster Body: I grew up in New England and have eaten more lobster than any other food, so I know exactly how real lobster should feel and taste. I ordered the warm New England lobster roll at Tiki Docks and was extremely disappointed. The "lobster" was very light, had no texture at all, and was completely bland--none of the sweet, briny flavor that fresh Maine lobster always has. It didn't feel meaty or substantial like real lobster; it felt soft, flimsy, and inauthentic. On top of that, the bun was gross and not even good-tasting on its own. A proper New England lobster roll uses a toasted, buttery split-top bun that complements the lobster, not one that tastes off or unpleasant. Between the bland, textureless meat and the bad bun, this was a major letdown. For a place that specifically advertises warm New England Lobster Rolls in warm lemon-chive butter, the quality was far from authentic real lobster. This is not what New England lobster should be. read more

Excellent eatery... our waitress/server (Gianna) was very pleasant in her caring for our party of 8 family/friends/ GUESTS which was the first time for most of us to visit. Menu has plenty of options and some explained to the manager who was very receptive to suggestions for our group to also look into menu alterations (surf n turf (chicken wings adding an order of shrimp as a meal). Like the suggestion and other thoughts when presented. The food prices were mostly valued for the food recieved. The location actually accommodated my group as several disability issues were managed (via our pscooters allowed to use an elevator for access). Very welcomed by us greatly- otherwise we would have not been able to access the eatery. Honestly was so disappointed. We always sit at the bar outside but decided a change of scenery this evening. The service was so bad and slow it really should not have been like that at all as the bartenders were just hanging around the POS and watched them eat here and there. What should have been a 40 minute outing almost took 2 hours. We work in the service industry and sadly I don't think we will be returning. I highly recommend to train the staff to be more attentive to your bar guests. read more

Today was my first time coming here and honestly after the experience I had I don't know if I want to return. A couple of my girls and I were having a girls day and stopped in to grab a bite to eat and two of us decided to have an alcoholic drink. As we were looking over the menu one of my girls asked the bartender/server what flavor wings do they have and the response was "they're on the page but reading is fundamental" I assume that it was supposed to be a joke but we didn't find anything funny about it at all. We found it extremely rude and unpleasant. My friend that asked the question usually wears glasses but she didn't have them on her at the time and even if she didn't he still shouldn't have said that to her or anyone because that's poor customer service and you never know a persons situation or circumstances. The only reason I gave three stars is because the food was good but the drinks weren't all that great. I don't remember the gentleman's name but he was caucasian wore glasses and was a bit flamboyant. As a first timer this experience has really rubbed me the wrong way and I really don't think that I'll ever return because now I just feel irritated thinking about it. Update: after talking with someone from Tiki Docks and explaining the situation I'm actually pleased with the results. They were so understanding and assured me that they would handle the situation because even they felt like what the employee said was completely out of line. In my original post I also forgot to mention the young lady named Kristen (not sure if that's how she spells her name) because she helped my friend out with her alcoholic beverage and she was amazing and I found out that she was in training. When I heard that I was even more pleased. I'm definitely thinking about returning. read more

Went with the grandparents and we highly enjoyed ourselves. We ordered drinks and they were super good, Mango Margarita, Mai Thai, Stella Artois, and Pinot Grigio. For appetizers we had the Ahi Tuna and a dozen oysters, they were delicious. For entrees, they had the lobster rolls and I had the Grouper with grits (it was so good). It lives up to its name with having lots of tiki related items and a menu compromised of Hawaiian flavored items. - The restaurant is large with plenty of tables inside and out and a large bar with seating. Stopped by on a Saturday for lunch and was happy with the food, service and ambiance. It wasn't busy so we were sat right away and the food didn't take long. We loved our lunches! I'm usually not a fan of fries at restaurants but these had a nice flavor to them. I especially loved my coconut shrimp and my husband was happy with his pork burger. We opted to sit outside and noticed large fans all around the deck. A must have in Florida! Since I went in December, the fans weren't on as not needed. We enjoyed the riverside view and saw the occasional kayakers. So the answer to the magic question is ... yes! I would definitely come again as I'd like to check this place out at night and try a few different menu items. read more
