Wow, wow, wow!! Ugrean... where have you been all my life? I didn't know eating healthy could taste so wonderful. Well, this food court restaurant has been a total game changer for me. I'm seriously thinking about becoming a morning mall walker just so that I can be the first person to get that freshly made salmon as it comes out of the kitchen. Yes!!! I know, it's not just about the salmon. The salad that is underneath that filet is just as amazing. It all seems basic when you look at the ingredients on the menu. But I have been craving the Nostra Salmon since I had it for the first time yesterday. I still can't believe this restaurant is in the food court at Westfield Mall in Brandon. Their first location is actually on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. I am so happy they picked Brandon to open their 2nd location. I spoke to the owner while she was making my salad. A lot of love goes into these recipes. They get a delivery of fresh salmon 3 times a week. It's never put in the freezer. It's as fresh as can be. The seasoning on the salmon is simple yet so full of flavor. Nothing is salty, and it's definitely not dry or overcooked. In fact, it's so tender and juicy. The dressing is sea salt, cracked pepper, olive oil, and half of a fresh lemon squeezed on top. I didn't need a fancy dressing for this one. The greens, veggies, olives, and big chunks of feta cheese were all fresh and amazing. I actually felt good after eating this huge salad. Okay, I didn't eat all of it right away. I took the rest of the salad home after devouring the salmon. It was just as good later that evening for dinner. I had seen reviews and pictures on Yelp. I knew I had to try it. I can honestly say that all the 5 star reviews are correct. I wouldn't have known had I not tried it for myself. I can't wait to go back and try the cilantro & shrimp salad as well as her homemade chicken salad. The shrimp looked fantastic! I almost got that instead of the Salmon. Oh, and her chicken salad doesn't have mayo in it. I'm really curious and intrigued by this. I'm a total believer now! read more

We tried this Brandon mall food court place after reading some reviews on Yelp. Super friendly staff and we tried two signature salads - the Orlando Cobb and Sweet Spinach. Very tasty though I recommend dressing on the side. Smoothies look good also. Only drawback, no brewed tea though they do offer sodas and bottled drinks. I HIGHLY recommend Ugrean. They truly are such a great place to get fresh food while shopping or walking the mall. I had a bad experience once upon a time with salmon at a restaurant (I'm talking maybe 10-11 years old) and had refused to it it since. While lemme tell ya - this salmon changed and absolutely rocked my world. I AM a salmon girl!! This meal changed my life. I crave it every day. I wish they had door dash so I could have it delivered. Keep up with the kind service Ugrean! I appreciate the good food and hard work being put into lovely meals like this. read more

Tonight we ordered from UGrean for the 2nd time. This place is so awesome! Seriously some of the best salads we have ever had. We got the build your own and it's awesome because you choose what goes in it and there are tons of options. The pictures I took don't show just how much is packed in each salad. You keep eating and eating and never see the bottom. It's the salad that never ends. The shrimp my husband got in his salad were huge and there were so many. And my salad had to have at least a pound of chicken on it. If you love salad you have to try this place!!! read more

First of all, this isn't just the healthiest and best-tasting mall food places you'll ever eat, it's extremely good tasting and extremely healthy even for non-mall food. It's comical for me to watch people who don't like the idea of green drinks to try the signature Ugrean drink and the surprise they have that it tastes so good. "No, I don't want to try a green drink -- damn! That's good!" Ok, now the staff! The owners are amazing people and their children run the place when they aren't there. Great people! They have a solid menu but they will also make anything you want! They make it easy to Create-Your-Own! Here's the really cool part -- they'll soon be on SnapAppDelivery! You won't believe this is a spot in a mall food court! When you think of mall food it's always pizza, Chinese, subs, etc. But oh no, when you're in Brandon Town Center you'll be able to mix it up, eat fresh, stay on track with eating healthful, and / or find great low carb options. Ugrean is so fun and is the closest thing I've found since losing the beloved Sweet Tomatoes (R.I.P. ). They have a menu that's loaded with signature salads, or you have the option to go through all of their veggie options and build your own. They start with a huge stainless steel bowl, you pick your base green and just take off! Any veggie you can think of, they got it. Want a whole grain mixed in for added protein or a vegan option, they got it. Made a huge salad like my husband weighing in over (2) pounds and need an even bigger takeout container, they got it. Every time we stop by it's always fresh, fast, and the staff is always super friendly. We even talked about stopping in and grabbing salads as a quick dinner option, I don't know why we hadn't thought of that idea sooner?! If you're super hungry, and a fan of fresh, Ugrean will never disappoint! read more

The food looked really really good but I wasn't starving and just wanted to have a smoothie, as I waited for the smoothie I saw they had a vegetarian soup so I asked for a cup of soup. Everything was great so far till it came to pay...I waited with my card in hand and they had a family who came after me skip in line to pay..Not a big deal but still I didn't like that. After they finished, he told me it would be $17! For a $6.99 smoothie and a cup of soup. I paid and tipped and didn't make a fuss but after trying the soup it is mediocre and definitely not worth $10. I would try the food but I felt a bit scammed by the soup. the incident im reviewing about happened in february 2023: didn't order, was at mall. i was eating a Starbucks cheese platter and suddenly i see this lady making a complaint about her food being cold. typical. as someone who works in customer service, the best thing you can do is just remake or refund the costumers order. this prevents conflict and then can lead a customer to say, "they fixed their mistake". woman behind the counter started yelling at the customer. again, not how you handle that situation. they were cursing and i don't particularly agree with what the customer did, but she did end up throwing the food at the workers. a response to that would be to walk away, instead the older worker PULLS OUT A KNIFE. the younger worker then proceeds to try to get physical with the customer, and at this point they're both screaming and cursing at this woman. and they're yelling out trying to humiliate her as well. i ended up pulling out my pepper spray because i saw employees ready to be violent. after screaming at everyone, people filming yada yada; customer ends up pouring tea all over their food bar thing i guess and just leaves. again, i don't particularly agree with that but you know...one of the workers did pull out a knife. in fact the younger worker ran out after the customer. older worker was screaming at everyone & threatening bystanders as well. i heard and seen enough. just a display of poor costumer service. i would never scream at a costumer over a complaint, i tell them their options to help them and give them their preferred method of compensation. would've been solved with a single remake or refund of the order. read more

It's housed in a former Wendy's restaurant, and I can see why it closed. It had no visibility. The tiny signs on the building for Naans were not legible so unless you knew the restaurant, people just drive by and think it's abandoned. We arrived 30-minutes after opening and there were 2 cars in the parking lot. My first thought was they must do a great takeout. Entering the restaurant, it was nothing fancy. I'm more interested in the food, flavors, and service. The server/hostess was pleasant, but not at all attentive or checked up on us once. I ordered the garlic naan and chicken tikki Marsala. My partner asked which items are vegan, she really didn't know. At Rasoi in Ybor, the server was asked the same question and she immediately pointed out all the vegan items. There were at least eight dishes that were vegan. Only having one choice and waited 15 minutes to order, we were stuck and he ordered the Dal Tudka. The meals were delicious. The sauces and medium spices were perfect in both meals. The garlic naan was perfect for dipping. I liked the chicken was cut into cubes and didn't require a knife. And, the prices were so reasonable for the amount of food you received. My letdowns were the reason for only 3 stars. They had 8 different guests order takeout. The only customer in there when we arrived ordered by phone and waited 30 additional minutes. He said to the owner he left his house 20 minutes after placing his ordering. There were additional wait times for 7 of the 8 people who called in takeout orders. Our wait time was equally long. There seemed to be ample help in the back from where I was sitting. We were in the restaurant for 65 minutes from the time we walked in until the time we left. Nothing screamed ambience, experience, as well as so few orders for this to occur. One of my biggest letdowns in any sit down restaurant, other than a fast food restaurant is bottled drinks. I like water served in a glass, with ice, a straw, and refills. I'd like to say I would give them another chance, but my partner was hellbent not returning due to the 1 vegan option and service. It's a shame such wonderful flavors were overshadowed by less than great service and extensive wait times for us and the guests who ordered takeout.

Just Salad

Just Salad, oh how I've missed you. Welcome to Tampa! Can't wait to see more of you. :)…read more During my time living in NYC for several years, Just Salad became a staple in my quick-pick up rotation. They have a wonderful array of salads, soups, market plates to enjoy - all super fresh and healthy. Even with the emergence of spots like Sweetgreens, Cava and of course, long time fave Fresh Kitchen, Tampa has needed a place like Just Salad to bring home one of the best salad joints - they beat out the competition with their wide variety of toppings to choose from and I just find their food the freshest of the fresh. To celebrate my first visit, I bought a new Just Salad bowl (one free topping every time you bring it in!) and have been back several times to reacquaint myself with my old salad friend. This spot in South Tampa is busy at lunch, but pretty quiet at dinner time. Looking forward to many return visits for a healthy, quick meal! I hear there are more locations on the way, which will make it easy for me to enjoy Just Salad no matter where I am in Tampa Bay. :) See you again soon, Just Salad!
