We have visited this restaurant three times. Our first visit was shortly after they opened. While the food was very good, the service was extremely slow. At the time, we attributed the delays to the fact that the restaurant had just opened and assumed things would improve as they settled in. We returned some time later, hoping the service would be more efficient; however, it was still noticeably slow. On our third visit, I placed a takeout order. The food was once again delicious and well prepared, which we truly appreciate. That said, the consistently slow service has made us hesitant about returning. We stopped in having read the reviews. We were not disappointed, the food was so good, light, delicious. We shared fried rice with chicken and each had a Banh Mi sandwich. My daughter had the Thai Ice Tea and I had a Taro Ice Tea. Everything was so good. Service was excellent, everyone greets you with a smile and the atmosphere is very casual and easy going. A solid four stars. Not the best Vietnamese I've ever had, but pretty good. I had the grilled pork plate and was surprised to see they didn't precut the meat. The flavor was good and their nuoc cham is good and spicy. The service was great. The girl was really attentive and checked on us often. The ambiance isn't much to look at. Great little spot. The restaurant is located in a strip mall so there's no issue with parking. The service was friendly and fast without feeling pressured. I ordered an appetizer of the shrimp rolls in rice paper and beef pho for the main dish. Both were delicious and fresh. I ordered a small Serving of the pho and it's still a lot! The food came out hot and with so much flavor! I also had a passion fruit tea. Went here with a coworker after hearing how good it was and she didn't not lie. The ambiance is nothing special and upon entry I wasn't sure about this place. Our waiter came over and he was extremely helpful and even made some suggestions which I took him up on and ordered the ribeye Pho which felt like a warm hug. Pho Perfection! Found this gem through yelp reviews for Vietnamese food in the Brandon area and it did not disappoint. Service is friendly and prompt . Tables are cleaned well and the turnaround time is quick so it wasn't a long wait. The pho broth in my opinion is Flawless. I no longer have to go to Atlanta for a memorable bowl of pho. I got the beef rib pho 5/5 which came with a generous beef rib plus meatballs and the perfect portion of noodles to soup ratio. My mom is really picky about dining out, she likes to cook her own meals usually. But her bowl of special pho 5/5 was mom approved. We normally do not finish an entire pho in one sitting because either it was mediocre or the noodles taste is too starchy. You can tell a lot of details went into making an awesome soup base. We have frequented most of the Vietnamese restaurants in Tampa however all have become ordinary. This will definitely be our go to place when in the Brandon area. read more

This wasn't my first visit to Tara's Kitchen. I visited about a year ago for take out. The food was good, but it isn't takeout food. It needs to be served in ceramic bowls and not plastic. I had appointments one day last week and found myself at Tada's Kitchen around 11:30 (before the lunch crowd ). I was the second table to have been seated and looked through their extensive menu. They offer a lunch special of Pho. I decided on the ribeye pho and the fried shrimp rolls as an appetizer. The fried shrimp rolls were great. The chili sauce had a nice kick to it. The pickled veggies and lettuce cooled that spice down. The Pho was incredible. The broth takes 24 hours to perfect and you can tell. Rich and silky. Not salty at all. The noodles were rooked perfectly and veggies perfect. I loved the side dish of cilantro, Basel, jalapeño, sprouts, and lime for toppings. They all complimented the pho. I loved my meal and the service was perfect. There was no rush and they filled up in the 45 minutes I was there. Definitely a place to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine! read more

Came here with the boyfriend and did not expect to have the best banh mi of my life HOLYYYYY. We split tofu summer rolls, wings, and a beef banh mi for starters. All were solid but the banh mi was perfection. We also got pho. I got the beef short rib one and the meat fell off the bone. The broth did not need any additions (no hoisin sriracha broth drowning here). OMGosh! This has to be the best Pho and Spring Rolls with the most flavorful peanut sauce I've ever had! Cute tiny restaurant serving the local with good pho. The restaurant has a lot of take out during our visit. But it did not slow down dining in the restaurant food come to table. Obviously the restaurant already operates correctly. We got Tada Wing to start. This is a fried wings with homemade chili, garlic and honey sauce. These wing was fried twice with extra crispy. The second dish I have is the bone in short rib pho. I like this pho because it has big short rib and the beef balls. Pho is delicious. Overall is good. Dang, I wish I had tried this place before because this place is straight up fire!! Right when we walked in, we were promptly greeted, told to sit where we like, and had menus within moments. They were busy, but that did not impact the level of service we received. That also did not impact the speed in which we received our food. The place was clean and bright. I'll be honest, I've had a ton of mediocre Vietnamese places lately so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm so glad I tried it because this place is far from mediocre. The grilled pork banh mi is absolutely delicious! The pork was tender, juicy, and plentiful. The bread was toasted perfectly. The pickled veggies and pate made it even better. The oxtail pho was good. The price was right for the amount of oxtail received. The pho broth is light compared to other restaurants in the area. It's not my favorite pho broth, but it's still pretty good. My favorite noodle dish here is the bo kho (or beef stew). It's just a tastier broth, even though I didn't detect much of the tomato in the broth. I decided to get glass (tapioca) noodles this time. It was a good decision. The rice noodles would have been too soggy the next day. I ended up taking most of it home for leftovers. This may sound strange, but it was even tastier the next day. The broth and noodles soaked up the spices, and the broth was much richer after being in the refrigerator. There was still plenty of beef and beef tendons (chock full of collagen) leftover from the previous day. Perhaps that made a difference. Anyway, the pho and stew were both served piping hot (maybe too hot). So much so, that I had to wait a while for it to cool down. I thought that was interesting because I've read other reviewers stating that it wasn't hot enough. They must have corrected this. I know... damned if you do, and damned if you don't. My husband didn't like the sweet pork sausage in his pork fried rice. They offered to make him another fried rice without it (great service). I liked the smoky wok taste of the rice, but he didn't care for it. Who knew? We both loved the fried shrimp rolls. I think my husband was mostly intrigued by the hot sauces and chili oil on the table. I was blown away with the fresh culantro on the garnish trays. There were even bits of culantro mixed in with the beef stew. I'm all about the Recao plant whenever it's in Puerto Rican or Asian dishes. It's a 5 star review in my opinion. The bold & bright iced coffee totally put it over the top. I love a good strong cafe sua da! They'll adjust the sweetness for you. Just make sure you ask. They have desserts, but I haven't tried them yet. The service is great at this family owned restaurant. They want to make you happy here. My absolute favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Brandon/Riverview area!! The bun bo hue (spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup) is delicious every single time I've ordered it. The portion is huge and I usually take some home. If I'm super hungry I could finish it. Yes, they also have pho and it's a solid choice here. The weekly pho specials include short rib pho or oxtail. Other menu items I enjoy is the bang bang shrimp, grilled beef rice platter, and the beef stew. You must try the Vietnamese coffee too. The space is clean and service is friendly! It feels like home whenever I come, maybe because I go all the time :D. The location is so convenient next to the Publix. They've been open for about a year. There's about 4 other Vietnamese restaurants within a 15 min drive around me, but I favor Tada's!! I can make my own pho and I'm pretty particular about flavors and garnishes when it comes to Vietnamese food. I highly recommend Tada's! They do catering too. This place sits on the same plaza as Publix and is easy to find. Parking is plenty and it can get full pretty fast. I was making a to go order and was excited by the positive reviews but I have to say that my experience was the opposite. Spring rolls: 5/5, delish and they gave peanut sauce which is my fave sauce to go with it. Ribeye banh Mi: 1/5, I don't know if it's the seasoning of the ribeye but it tasted expired in the banh mi and I couldn't finish it. Ribeye pho: 1/5, the broth was not hot enough to cook the ribeye and the blood soaked through the noodles and the noodles were breaking apart. Broth was not tasty, I also could not finish. Ribeye Vermicelli: 0/5, they forgot my sauce that went with it so I just had a dry salad that I couldn't eat! Overall, the service was good and it did fill up fast inside but for me it was a huge miss. I don't like to give bad reviews for new businesses so maybe I'll go back and try dine-in next time to see if it's a different experience. read more

The chicken pho is soooo good! Flavorful broth, and all together a great texture and taste! Friendly service and I love the booth's to sit on. Another tip: from the kids menu, the chicken nuggets and fries are soooooo good! Instead of taking the kids to Mc Donald's, try the chicken nuggets and fries from Tada's! They are soooo sooo good! They remind me of good old Mac Donald's back in 2005 in Germany, when they had excellent quality and I had no allergic reactions to it! Really enjoy this place! Definitely recommend! read more

I'm not local. I actually traveled here to have surgery and I decided to order the beef pho soup because I needed soup after surgery for easy digestion. My husband went to pick it up and when he got to the hotel room 40% of the broth spilled into the bag because the restaurant put many holes in the lid. That makes no sense to me. Its hot soup. The last thing they should have done was put holes where hot liquid will spill. No only did it waste half the portion. It also created a huge greasy mess that was difficult to clean up in the hotel. But what was even worse and quite shocking is the beef in the separate container meant to be mixed in with the broth was 100% raw. I am so mad. I get that if you're going to be cooking this at home you'd have a stove top or even microwave but what about the people who don't have access or are trying to eat this on the go? What am I supposed to do with this half spilled broth and this raw meat?!?! Why would a restaurant give customers RAW meat. It's acutely a safety hazard. I couldn't eat any of the food. It's so sad. I paid for it and didn't eat anything. I went back online to see if there were any notes about it being raw and having to prepare it and there was absolutely nothing mentioned. We tried calling the restaurant three times. One time they put us on hold and never came back and the other times nobody picked up at all. read more
