Thai tea with ice cream is sooooo good! This was almost better than the meal Pho with beef, meatballs, brisket was savory and warm to the soul. Armando was so nice, he offered good suggestions. This was my 2nd time here and it is quickly becoming a staple. read more

Came for a weekend lunch! We both love Vietnamese food and were excited to try this spot. I ordered the beef vermicelli, and my dining companion got the bún bò Huế. The food was okay overall, though we were both a bit disappointed. Both dishes leaned noticeably on the sweeter side. My beef vermicelli was fairly enjoyable--the grilled beef had a nice, slightly caramelized texture that paired well with the chilled noodles. However, the sauce also had a distinct sweetness that felt a bit heavy for the dish. As for the bún bò Huế, we ordered it knowing it's often a signature item at Vietnamese restaurants and pho spots, and usually worth the slightly higher price. Unfortunately, this one didn't quite measure up. The broth tasted more sweet than spicy, and the soup wasn't served hot enough. It would also be helpful if the menu mentioned that the dish includes congealed blood. The blood itself tasted okay but didn't seem especially fresh. The young woman who waited on us was very friendly, and we appreciated her attentiveness. However, toward the end of the meal, the check-in felt a bit rushed. There were a couple of takeout orders, but we were the only dine-in table for most of the meal. While we understand the need for efficiency, it felt a bit uncomfortable to receive the check before we had finished eating. This likely isn't a staff decision, but rather something that could be improved if the owner adjusted the table service approach slightly. read more

I used to love coming to Pho Hoang but man, it has really gone downhill. It used to take us 45 minutes total from start to finish but the start takes 45 minutes now! The noodles in the pho is so broken that it's hard to eat it. The spring rolls are still delicious as ever. The staff are slow to help and serve -- and these are on SLOW days, I couldn't imagine when it's busy. We haven't been back and don't plan to. We rather make it at home or make the drive north for some really good Vietnamese food. Environment is normal noise. read more

Pho Hoang is one of those places that feels instantly welcoming. It has a cozy, inviting charm that puts the focus where it should be on amazing food and thoughtful service. The atmosphere is calm and unpretentious, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed meal. The combination rice platter is my favorite. It's packed with flavor and always hits the spot. I also really enjoy the shrimp spring rolls. They're fresh and light, and the peanut sauce adds just the right touch of richness. The limeades deserve their own shoutout. Each one I've tried has been incredibly refreshing. I usually sip one while I eat and end up taking another with me. Pho Hoang is the kind of spot that quietly becomes your favorite without even trying. read more

Have visited once before over a year ago and decided in was time to do back. This time I took a friend of mine with me. The pho was just as I remembered, delicious! The servicing size is huge so come hungry! The dining area was spacious and well lit. The server was absolutely amazing. I cannot recall his name but he was very nice, professional and offered great recommendations. 10/10 experience! read more

I'm not one to give bad review but I have to give my honest opinions about this place. This used to be my favorite spot for the noodle bowl, but I don't think I will be visiting this spot anytime soon. Prices have gone UP and the portions are SMALLER. But I understand. My mom wanted something sweet so she ordered Thai tea. When the bill came, price for the tea was $8.75! For a tea! The menu doesn't have Thai tea but it does have Vietnamese coffee so I would assume the price would be comparable to the coffee. Also the processing fee when I'm paying cash? Foods were good but I didn't expect to spend $56 for lunch. This place might be losing a lot of regulars pretty soon. read more

We used to enjoy coming here to support local business and found their banh mi sandwiches and pho soup to be authentic. Sadly, the food quality has since gone downhill with them cutting back on ingredients and the amount of food they give and yet, their prices continue to rise. We understand it's difficult to be a small business in today's economy but cutting cost and raising prices will only turn loyal customers away. We also find it disappointing that they charge a 3.5% processing fee on their clover POS without letting the customer know in advance or offer the option to pay in cash to avoid the extra fee. We hope PH will take this to heart and reconsider their business model. Best of luck! read more

There are no vegetarian pho options. You can get banh mi IF YOU SPECIFY NO BEEF PASTE, or you can get noodle/rice stir fry and these will be vegetarian. But despite having "no meat," vegetable, and tofu versions of pho, none of these are vegetarian. FYI. We all got garlic noodle bowls. These were very delicious. The soy sauce has great flavor and the cabbage gave a bright sweet compliment. The noodles were cooked really well. Uncertain if I'll be back for this one meal, but it was really good, and if you eat meat, I'm sure the rest of the food would be great. The staff were very helpful and kind. read more

This restaurant has excellent pho, great prices, and everything tastes truly authentic. The staff is incredibly attentive--one day I went in at the start of a head cold and just wanted some pho, and my server brought me a complimentary pot of hot tea and even offered advice on natural remedies. The care and attention here go beyond just food. Highly recommend! read more

I got the steak and brisket pho, my babe got the combination rice platter. They were very busy with only one waiter but we were still tended to in a reasonable timeframe despite this. Worst place one been in tampa. Service verrrrry slow. In ordered steak pho and they bring me chicken pho with literally two pieces of steak and it took 20 mins on top of that. My son ordered the shrimp and it tasted old and the texture was way off. They offered to remake my meal but due to the long wait to order and her food, o didn't have time. Waited for service. Ordered a Bahn-mi, only to say later that they were out. Waitress had to ask again what our order was. Waited for utensils. Vegetables weren't even cooked. I have been visiting this spot for over a year now. I would say it is the best pho around the Brandon area. The service is quick and I always leave happy! Kenneth is who took care of me last, and he always does a wonderful job. I usually get the small chicken pho with grilled shrimp spring rolls. Everything comes out fresh and there isn't a drop left! The restaurant is clean for the most part. Sometimes when I walk in there's left over plates and cups from previous customers, so that could be worked on, but otherwise I continue to come back here for my pho fix! read more

This place is now bottom of the barrel of the pho places in Tampa. Once it was my favorite. The quality of the food has dropped, the portion sizes have dropped and the service quality has diminished as well. The broth especially which is key is unrecognizable at this point. A classic yummy pho spot! What makes this place stand out from the others is their offerings off more premium "meats." Filet mignon pho, lobster or scallop pho.. they have it all. However, my only gripe would be that they are a little pricier than neighboring pho restaurants. Sometimes I get pho, sometimes I get a vermicelli noodle entree, either way they are both great. read more

First time here and was inspired by the Ube Milky Way milkshake pictures, looked so yummy. But on a Friday night around 5:30, they were out. My daughter got a mango flavored shake instead and that was pretty good. The menu is limited (looks like a lot, but it's only a list of different meats). I got beef meatball & tendon, which surprisingly had a lot of noodles and not just soup. But the flavor was average. My hubby got a combo vermicelli and he thought it was average as well. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and the prices were standard. Place is big and splits into 2 different rooms, which is nice for social distancing. read more

Ever get the craving for a good soup and you know just the right thing? That was this! I don't live close to this restaurant anymore, but I made a trip out cause I was craving their food! Due to COVID its been well over a year since I ate here and the food was just as good as before! I always order a 33A (I think that's the number) for the largest bowl of Pho I can get. The broth is flavorful, but not excessively salty. Their Pho comes with your standard lime, bean sprouts, cilantro, onion, and jalapeño slices. It's served extra hot and keeps you nice and warm! I get the large because I make it into two meals. Only disappointed in the amount of meat that was in my bowl as there wasn't much, but it was still a good bowl! My friend ordered the chicken, shrimp, and steak rice platter and oh my! Was it delicious! Super flavorful but again not super salty. The steak wasn't chewy it was soft and melted in your mouth. The rice was aromatic and had a over easy egg on top (my friends choice). I saw they had milk tea so I ordered a tiger milk tea that came in a small canning jar. It was not overly sweet, and the boba were perfectly chewy. Not sure id order again, only cause it was a tad small for $5. Service was okay, we got better service from a couple of waiters that weren't ours, but over all a great dinner! read more

This has been our go to Pho Restaurant in Riverview. There are plenty to pick from but we will drive pass several to eat at this one.We love it here because the pho broth is rich with layers of flavor. The service is friendly, attentive, and quick. I've been coming to this Pho restaurant for over 10 years and I can honestly say that while the original owners owned it everything was perfect. The food was incredible. I haven't been there in two months and decided to go there this evening and boy has this place gone downhill the broth taste like it's out of a can. I ordered a large oxtail pho in the meat was hard as a rock, and you could not eat it This place used to be the best for around and now it's officially at the bottom read more

The pho isn't bad isn't good. GO TO PHO VIET off 60. Waiter didn't check on me as I sat and waited 50 minutes for a simple premade bowl of pho. Poor service. I was a server for some years and I wouldn't consider it crazy busy. Just a little. Manager offered a measly 10% discount. If the pho was really good I would say it's worth to try again. Nothing special about this place Edit: never got my Thai tea either. Server error. When I finally got my bowl of pho after sitting in the restaurant just shy of being an hour. I get a nasty bowl of pho that was too nasty to eat even though I was starving from being sick for a couple days. That's how bad the pho was. Rather go home and cook something decent read more

The last few times we have been there has been very disappointing.. not sure what's going on with the kitchen staff... the noodles are not made to order, seems like they precook them then allocated them into bowls and let them sit there and then when people order pho, they put the broth on top. This makes the noodles stick together and doesn't come apart so it's like a big clump .. not good!!! Who wants to eat one big clump of pho noodles??? Come on guys, for $14 a basic pho, not ok... I would be even more irritated if I was ordering one of those seafood pho for $30 ... Then the last time we were there, no basil!?!??!! It's a pho place, how do you not secure this? We went to an Asian market after and they had plenty of them.. so why didn't go and get some before opening?? And for the prices they charge for a bowl of pho .. it's unacceptable! Super hesitant about coming back now.. I'm not willing to pay those prices for lack of care and made to order!!! read more

I only been to Pho Hoang a few times & the service is good all the time. The employees are always nice. Very spacious inside. Today, I had a taste for Pho & this is the only place I get it from. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Spring Rolls which vermicelli noodles, carrots, lettuce inside. The shrimp is grilled perfectly. For my entree, I got the steak and chicken pho which comes with bean sprouts, cilantro (I do not eat it), onions, vermicelli noodles, hoison sauce, lime piece & broth. Very tasty & for the amount that I get, I can't finish it in one setting. Today, I asked the waitress for a sample of the Jackfruit Smoothie & I was surprised by taste. So, I ordered the smoothie & tastes so good. If you the area of Riverview, go try it. read more

Great tasting Pho! The pho broth was delicious, they have lots of toppings combination. There are 42! different combinates of toppings/meats you can have with your pho, so there will no doubt be something you like. I don't know of any other place that offers so many options. The bun bo hue was average, it didn't quite have the right balance of sour, salty and sweet flavors that it should and thus this is only reason why I'm giving overall 4 stars instead of 5.
