Sharp plastic found in my food! had a very upsetting and unsafe experience here. While eating my food, I found a sharp piece of clear plastic inside the curry puff. I am extremely glad I was the one who found it and not my children, because this could have seriously injured someone. I stopped eating immediately and took photos of the plastic piece. This is a serious food-safety issue, and the restaurant needs to investigate how this happened, check their preparation/packaging process, and take responsibility. This is genuinely the best Thai spot in the Brandon area. The pad thai has a sweet taste with the tamarind sauce and the sourness of a lime. This is hands down the best pad thai I have ever had. The basil snapper is also rare to come by in the Brandon area. Usually, they serve the fish in filets, but this is one of the only Thai restaurants with a whole snapper on the menu. First time customer and we made reservations but they weren't needed. The restaurant is simply decorated and felt very clean. The chairs are pretty hard as they are not cushioned. Our server was very nice and quick to get drinks. The menu has a nice variety of items. I shared an appetizer of golden packets with my husband, which were steamed dumplings with a dipping sauce. They were excellent! My entree was pineapple fried rice with chicken. We hadn't finished our appetizer and they were already bringing the entrees. My wife and I have gone here for years. Food has always been good and portions fair for the higher price. Today we ordered carry out and just got home to eat. We had requested double chicken on one order and standard amount on other. Very disappointing to see not one, but both orders were extremely light on the chicken (Red Curry). Both meals were mostly vegetables, sauce and rice with just a couple small pieces of chicken. It's pretty obvious they are trying to reduce portions to save money. This is our go to Thai spot when I'm in Riverview. It has been increasing difficult to find a good Thai spot since Thai Terrace in Tampa closed (RIP). Luckily we discovered this place! Their Pad Thai is consistently saucy and delicious (even though they charge $1 for extra egg even if you don't get a meat). Their Pad See Ew is so flavorful. The Masaman Curry was delicious but will likely try their other curries before ordering again. Their fresh rolls are very fresh and crunchy. Honestly have never had a bad meal. Price point is on par with most Thai restaurants and their service is always great. The ambiance is nice as well, with (fake) greenery everywhere and low lighting, but not so low that you can't see what you're eating. Will continue to make this a regular spot! read more

It's a good weekday lunch option. You can get a starter, soup or salad, and a drink (canned soda, Thai iced tea or coffee) along with your choice of meat for your entrée. The lunch special is about $15 per person and served between 11am and 3pm (Mon-Fri). It's a good deal. My husband selected the drunken noodle with pork along with a green salad and bags of gold appetizer. He was given a scale of 1-10 for the spice level. He chose 8, but actually got more of a 4 or 5. He prefers it to be hotter. The sauce was also sweeter than he prefers. We've had that same dish at other restaurants and it was more savory. He also wasn't expecting to get a sweet peanut dressing on his salad. So for him, it was a miss. I had the green curry with chicken along with the same appetizer and a vegetable clear soup. We've had this version of the bags of gold appetizer at another restaurant in Brandon. This one was good but lacked coconut. It was also more compact with less meat inside. It was still good. The soup was very different. I liked it because it had lots of vegetables and included glass noodles instead of rice. The green curry is probably the best one I've had in the area. The eggplant and the rest of the veggies were cooked perfectly. It was extremely spicy, and I didn't even give them a spice level. I'd say it was about a 6 on the scale. It was definitely hotter than my husband's drunken noodles. I was able to tolerate it just because the flavor was so wonderful. I had to mix it with more rice and thankfully I had that sweet Thai tea to help get me through it. I would definitely order the curry again. In fact, I think this restaurant's curry dishes totally shine. It was a win for me. So much so, that I'm looking forward to trying their chicken khao soi (a coconut curry noodle soup) next time. They also have a blue butterfly pea drink (Payaa Drink) and a tricolored mango sticky rice dessert that looks so pretty and colorful. That's what I'll get next time. It's pretty much hidden in the River Springs Town Center on Boyette Road in Riverview. It's next door to the Talking Pint. Found this Thai cuisine near Bloomingdale/Fish Hawk area. The food and staff was great. I really did not know what to order. I ask the server for a recommendation and after talking with me about my taste bud she recommended the garlic sauce spice 2. With that recommendation I went with the garlic shrimp and it was delicious. The vegetables in it was cooked perfectly and spice 2 was perfect. The portion size was good. For appetizers we got the curry puff and bags of gold. Both wax good. My favorite was the bags of gold. My sister got the massaman curry chicken and she enjoyed it.
