    Beef Shish
    Jason D.

I took my wife on a date to Turkish Kitchen in Brandon tonight and it absolutely delivered. We ordered the beef shish, lamb shish, and calamari, and every single dish was cooked perfectly. The beef was tender, juicy, and packed with smoky grilled flavor. The lamb was even better...it was incredibly soft, well-seasoned, and clearly high-quality meat with that rich, authentic Turkish taste you hope for but don't always get. The calamari was a standout starter: light, crispy, and not greasy at all, with a clean fresh flavor and a great dipping sauce. Portions were good and the plates came beautifully arranged with rice, fresh salad, grilled vegetables, and sauces that actually tasted homemade. What really makes this place shine is how authentic everything feels and not just "Mediterranean-style," but genuinely Turkish cooking done right. If you're in the Brandon area and want real flavorful, fresh, and satisfying, this spot is 100% worth the visit. Definitely coming back to try more from the menu.

One of our favorite places to eat! Love the atmosphere, staff is friendly and the food is so good! I hate to admit it, but we eat here multiple times a month. My favorite appetizer is the baked hummus and fresh bread. Some of the dishes that I have tried (and ordered more than once) are the sea bass, chicken casserole, chicken adana, chicken shish, the rice pudding and the Turkish tea. I've also had the falafel plate. You will be welcomed with friendly faces and the service has always been good. We always end up taking home leftovers, so that should tell you there are decent size portions. You will not be disappointed!

The food was really delicious! The service was amazing. And the ambience is very cute and relaxing. From appetizers to entrées everything was a hit. Definitely recommend trying them. Quick service very friendly 10 out of 10

In plaza next to pizza joint on Bloomingdale. Plenty of parking. Inside was nice with the open kitchen. Smelled great walking in. We were seated in back room which is not as nice as the front. Service was OK. A little slow. But food was tasty. We got 2 mixed grills for 4 of us. The variety was nice and everything tasted very good. Would have liked a little more sauce to share. But overall food was good. I did think the price was a bit high. Many similar places are the same. Saw one group come in and review menu, comment about prices and walk out. But this place has good food so worth a try. Not many places like this in area so nice addition.

I came to Turkish Kitchen because i was craving Turkish coffee. I am happy I stayed to eat lunch as well because it was delicious. I got the lamb Adana. The ambiance is very welcoming and the restaurant is well decorated, it is very aesthetically pleasing. The hostess and hosts were so kind and welcoming. I immediately told my friends about this place. I'll be back soon.

Wow wow wow! My parents have been raving about Turkish Kitchen so of course it was top of my list to try when I visited and it exceeded expectations! The pita they bring to the table is hands down the best pita I've ever had. Like if I could only have one bread for the rest of my life, it would be their pita. We were celebrating my birthday so we also split 2 of the Mix Grill combos between 4 people which is definitely the way to go. You get to try a little of everything and it's more than enough food. The zucchini appetizer and desserts were also phenomenal, everything was just really good!

Came in for a later dinner and the place was packed! Large restaurant with variety of table and booth options and outside patio seating as well. We were able to get a both for the two of us and decided on a bunch of appetizers to share instead of entrees because they all sounded amazing. Service was fantastic and ALL our food was delicious. I will be dreaming about that pita bread. Looking forward to the next time I'm visiting family to dine here again!

Food was awesome and tasted fresh. Ambience was OK. Service was good. There were small gnats at our table with a downside and loud music near our table which should have been turned down. We did not request this. It just played naturally loud in the background. Food was recently priced with some items on the expensive side, others very reasonable considering the quality I would visit again.

Love it! It's great to have such a unique Turkish experience here in Brandon. I love what they've done to this space to make it so open & welcoming. It's located on Bloomingdale Avenue next to the Olde Town Pizzaria. We visited during its soft opening. Everything is on slow mo at the moment, so please be patient and allow more time to enjoy it. Our late lunch visit was the perfect timing even though it started getting busy around 2pm. I can already foresee that they will be hiring more servers once the word gets out. They still handled it well. Ercan (Can) greeted us immediately, and was so very helpful & professional. It took us a little while to decide. Everything on the menu looks so good. There are so many hot & cold mezze on the menu. We ended up skipping the starters, and ordered 2 of the Mix Shish (beef shish & chicken shish) with a boat-shaped cheese pide. It was more than enough food for 2 people. The oven baked pide is a meal in itself. Everything was delicious! We had enough left over for dinner. The shish was tender and well-seasoned. The grilled Turkish pepper served on the side is super hot. My husband loved that. I gave him mine. Lol! You've been warned. The biggest surprise was the incredibly cheesy pide. I can't believe how much I'm craving it again. Some say it's like a Turkish pizza. It's so much better than that description. I love the thin flatbread, and you'll actually see them rolling out the dough after you order it. It is so fresh, light, and crispy. I can't wait to order more than just the cheese next time. I want to try them all. It heated up very nicely the next day. I finally tried Maras ice cream for the first time. It was better than imagined. The traditional chewy texture was there. It was super rich & milky from the goat's milk. What a cool experience! The Turkish tea was also delightful. They have many other desserts including kunefe, kazandibi, and sutlac. I can't wait try them. Looking forward to more visits. I can see lots of future success for this new restaurant.

So excited to have a new restaurant in Bloomingdale!Of course i had to try it. the place is cozy, the service was great, and the food was pretty good too. I went with my husband and we shared the Mix Grill, it comes with rice and salad (it's meant for two, but honestly with an appetizer, it could be enough for three people) we had the hummus to start and it was fresh and tasty, the falafel wasn't my favorite a bit dry and not too flavorful. For dessert, we tried the baklava and the kunefe both were good, but I've had better baklava before. Overall, i'm happy to have Turkish food in the area the place looks really nice and modern. I'll go back for sure.

EFFIN MIND BLOWN. In town for a work trip and it's also my bday. I knew I wanted a big bday meal but didn't want to feel sluggish after so Mediterranean seemed like a good choice. My gawsh the place was empty besides one outside table that seemed done eating but still enjoying each others company (table was still there after I left). I honestly dont know how this place wasn't packed with every table, maybe because it was a Tuesday? I had the ground lamb and chicken as well as haydari dip and I couldn't imagine a better birthday dinner having to be alone. I like the tampa area but i never think of it as having outstanding food but this is by far the best I have had in Tampa area out of the many times I have visited! Thanks Turkish Kitchen!

    Cigar borek
    Kory S.

My wife and I have been wanting to try this place since we love middle eastern cuisine. We started with the cigar borek which is fried phyllo dough filled with feta cheese. It was warm and good. I had the mix shish with chicken and lamb kebabs. The meat was very flavorful although a little overdone but I enjoyed it. The rice pilaf was good and it came with colorful vegetables. My wife had the falafel plate which was on top of hummus. She said it was delicious and would definitely get it again. Make sure you request the bread basket which was warm, homemade and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant! My wife had the kazandibi dessert and loved it. It was flavored with cinnamon and very creamy.

One of the main ingredients in this cheesy skillet of goodness is pepperoni. My husband asked that the chef leave that ingredient out of the recipe due to my recipe allergy reaction. The waiter did a commendable job communicating to the kitchen about my dietary needs. Unfortunately, our dip came off with pepperoni and I nearly devoured it down. The waiter was super apologetic and wrapped it a carry home container and reordered a new one. We were so full from the soft, tasty bread, that we didn't touch the appetizer. For dinner, I ordered the most divine homemade pasta and beef rib dish. Whoever was back there cooking the dish, you have amazing taste, talent, and skill. My husband ordered the stuffed shrimp and beef fat potatoes. The shrimp were jumbo and filled with a hearty breading that was packed with flavor. The potatoes were rich in flavor and had a buttery texture. He would definitely order this dish again! Our server went out of his way to refill our drinks and attend to everything we were requesting. As a bonus, he ordered two pistachio and chocolate chips on his tab for the dilemma we encountered with the appetizer. I thought that it was a genuine gesture. You don't see that happening much anymore. When our cannolis arrived, I was pumped trying one of my favorite desserts Due to full bellies, we brought the dessert home. When I tried the cannolis at home I unpleasantly surprised at the taste. The cannoli cream was virtually absent of flavor, smoothness, and mascarpone. It is unclear what the my replaced it with for the fillings Overall, our experience was great! We will definitely make an appearance again!

Alright, folks, gather 'round as I, a lifelong Valrico local, spin a heartfelt yarn about Willie's…read moreSeafood at 1912 Main Street, the place that's been the heartbeat of my life since I was a kid. Born and raised right here in Valrico, Florida, I was brought to Willie's by my granddad, who called it his favorite spot in town. It's been a constant through every chapter of my life--birthdays, heartbreaks, and everything in between. This five-star review is a love letter to Willie's, a seafood haven that's served up memories as rich as their fried catfish and kept me comin' back for decades. From the time I could barely see over the table, Granddad would lead me through Willie's doors, his calloused hand in mine, promisin' the best meal in town. The place felt like a second home--still does. The cozy, weathered interior, with its wooden walls covered in fishing nets, old photos of Valrico's early days, and mounted fish, wraps you in a warm hug of nostalgia. The jukebox in the corner hums old country tunes, and the checkered tablecloths remind me of Granddad's stories about fishin' in the Gulf. He'd sit me down, order a basket of fried shrimp and hush puppies, and tell me, "this here's real Florida eatin'." That first bite of crispy, golden shrimp, dipped in tangy cocktail sauce, was like tastin' the ocean itself--fresh, simple, and perfect. Willie's menu is a love song to seafood, and I've loved every note since I was a kid. Their fried catfish, a Granddad favorite, is still the gold standard--flaky, moist, with a cornmeal crust so crisp it crunches like autumn leaves. The all-you-can-eat nights--catfish, shrimp, haddock, and clam strips on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays--are a tradition I've kept alive, especially now with my own kids. The gator bites, spicy and tender, are a thrill I discovered as a teenager, sneakin' bites off Granddad's plate. Their blackened mahi-mahi, served with creamy grits, is a nod to Florida's coastal soul, with a spice kick that wakes you right up. Even the sides--coleslaw cool as a summer breeze, hush puppies golden and sweet--feel like they were made with love. And don't get me started on the key lime pie; it's tart, creamy perfection that Granddad always saved room for, claimin' it was "better'n any dessert in Tampa." After he passed, I'd sit at our usual table, order his favorite catfish dinner, and feel him right there with me. Now, I bring my family, watchin' my daughter giggle over her popcorn shrimp, just like I did. The staff, some of whom have been here since I was young, treat you like kin. They'd slip me extra hush puppies as a kid, and now they know my order by heart--fried shrimp, fries, and a sweet tea, just like Granddad's. The place ain't fancy, but that's the charm. It's a family-owned gem, run by folks who've been at it since the '70s, and it shows in every bite. The prices are fair--$15.99 for a catfish filet with sides feels like a steal for the quality. The service is quick, even when the place is packed with locals like me, all drawn by the same comfort and flavor. Sure, some might say it's a bit old-school, but that's what makes it special. It's not tryin' to be a chain or a tourist trap--it's just Willie's, servin' up seafood that tastes like home. I've lived in Valrico my whole life, and Willie's has been there for every milestone--first dates, graduations, even quiet nights when I just needed a taste of the past. It's where I learned to love seafood, where Granddad's stories came alive, and where I still feel him every time I walk in. The food, the warmth, the memories--they're all part of me. Willie's Seafood is a five-star treasure, a place that's fed my body and soul for decades. I'll keep comin' back, bringin' my kids and someday their kids, to keep Granddad's favorite spot alive in our hearts.
