    Soooooo delish!

Such a delicious and soul-filling experience at Turkish Mediterranean Cuisine in Largo, FL! We gathered for a fun culinary adventure with some amazing foodie friends, and this spot absolutely delivered. From the moment we dipped that fresh, fluffy house-baked bread into their stunning mezze platter, we knew we were in for something special. Highlights? Oh yes: * Saganaki -- flaming Greek cheese that stole the show (and got a few "Opa!" cheers). * Shrimp scampi -- bubbling hot in a clay dish, garlicky, herby, and addictively buttery. * Grilled octopus -- tender, charred just right, and plated like a work of art. * Lahmacun -- thin, crispy Turkish flatbread topped with seasoned meat and herbs, served with a bright, crunchy salad. * And that mezze platter... dreamy. Creamy baba ghanoush, refreshing cacık, spicy walnut dip, tabbouleh, and more. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and meant to be shared. The atmosphere was casual, cozy and welcoming -- perfect for a group meal filled with laughs and connection. Big thanks to everyone who came out and shared their love and light. This one's definitely going on my foodie favorites list!

Came for a birthday party with a large group and had so much fun! It's a stand alone restaurant and byob! They ordered a couple of the house mixed grills for everyone and omg it was sooo good! Great variety and spices in the meat, crusty bread and the rice was my favorite. Comes with an extremely spicy sauce as well as tzatziki. Everyone loved the roasted tomato dipping sauce for the bread and everything tasted very fresh. Highly recommend if you're looking for something local and unique.

Looking for something totally different for family dinner (son's B'day 01/05/26). There were 7 of us so decided on sharing our meal from appetizers to dessert. 1st off they started us off with this amazing bread ( naan?) and awesome dipping sauce, from there had a type of tortellini BUT was made from a phyllo type dough very light filled with a lamb mixture swimming in a feta / herb sauce again soo good. Along with that we shared a fried/ baked cheese dish again amazing. For our main course we had the House Special Mixed Grill, was fresh, tasty and plentiful. It consists of beef Shish, chicken shish, lamb plus another type of chicken bottom was rice . All of this was covered with a homemade light dough. Needless to say it was very impressive looking and delicious. They advertise BYOB ( which we did bring our wine) but now they do have a wine/ bee4 license. The staff was exceptional, service spot on. Oh and the price is right ($$$) very reasonable. It is locally owned and operated ... a BIG PLUS for me. Kudos to the chef, staff and local owners. Keep up the good job/ vibes..

This restaurant is delicious! The menu is full of Turkish favorites, Mediterranean classics and even some Italian fare (which we did not sample). The bread and dipping sauce they bring to the table is next level. Homemade and fresh from the oven. Incredible! Be sure to order hummus to also enjoy with the bread. The chicken kebabs and the salmon special get rave reviews from me! The vibes are fairly low.. Pleasant. But low. This place is more about the food than the ambiance. Better than the reverse, right?

Updating my review. Went back as we had such a great time last time and was again for there with a large party. We requested the side room and for whatever excuse we were not given it. They gave us a long table against the wall. To me this was crazy as of course our table was going to be loud as it was a birthday party and Father's Day. The server came over and told us about noise complaints from other tables which could have been handled if they put us in the side room like before. Crazy! Food is still delicious and will be back... just with a smaller table size. That or take it to go!

What a find! It's homey, it's busy and bustling, it's yummy and welcoming. My friends and I spent my last evening in Tampa dining in. Helped by a young and enthusiastic server, we sampled incredibly tender grilled octopus, shockingly moist falafel (it's usually so dry!), and sweet and crunchy baklava. My chicken adana was tasty (maybe a bit oily) and the moist rice pilaf a welcome counterpoint. It was really fun to be inside this crowded restaurant on a Saturday night. We saw a dish get lit on fire, we felt seen by the staff, and the authenticity of the spices and textures was all there.

A bit skeptical on what to expect but so glad we went in and ordered!!! We were greeted right away. The place was welcoming and plenty of seating for bigger parties. Started with the cold appetizers which is a whole bunch of dips and spread you can out on your bread. Then we opted for the mixed grill which is lamb, beef and chicken kebabs. This whole meal is good for 5-6 people. This came with individual house salad. For dessert we shared a tiramisu. There were 5 of us in our party and we were all stuffed and going home with plenty of left overs. The food was delicious and a great experience. Highly recommend!!!

Ok lots of positive reviews plus a reco from a server from another restaurant and I have to say the best lamb kabob I've had in my life! I think they call it Lamb Adana. We came during off hours so plenty of parking. Them menu is huge so tons of stuff to try. Turkish coffee was like an amazing expresso. Pretty basic comfortable setting and we also had the dips platter and rice pudding which were both amazing! Honestly don't think you can go wrong here almost all locals and BYOB!

Sardines, a Portuguese favorite! My family and I were very happy to see it on the menu.

We were visiting the area as a family from out of state. We came across this gem with BYOB. I can't say enough about the food. Restaurant was very clean. Great service, amazing food!

The food here is amazing. We had the calamari, greek salad, lamb chops and sardines. It was all tasty and flavorful. The service is great because the server checked on us but let us enjoy our meal. The ambiance is casual.

We sat outside during our meal and the ambiance and feel of the restaurant was very welcoming! As for entrees, I ordered the Chicken Gyro Platter which was very well made, seasoned perfectly, and presented very well. The chicken was very well seasoned along with it being perfectly cooked, and the Rice Pilaf was the same. Overall nothing I would change about this dish and I would recommend ordering it. Next, one of the people in my party ordered the Chicken Gyro Salad which they loved. Same as my dish, the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was also mentioned that the lettuce was extremely fresh which is always great to see. The last two members of our party ordered the Beef/Lamb Gyro Salad which they loved. Again the meet was cooked very well and the lettuce was extremely fresh and overall they both loved their meal. (We did also order the Baklava for dessert which was fantastic as well) To finish, our service was top tier and our server Tayfun was extremely attentive throughout our entire dining experience and was very friendly! Amazing 10/10 dining experience and would most definitely come here again and recommend to others!

We sat outside on the water and it was a little cool but a light jacket made it comfortable. It was a beautiful day! We started with Turkish Coffee, which was delicious! We have no idea how to "read the coffee grounds" HAHA but I can tell you mine looked like a duck and a crooked United States, if that helps anyones premonitions, LOL. We ordered the babaganouj appetizer, which was DELICIOUS!! It comes with pita, but for me, being gluten intolerant I asked for some vegetable. Waiter offered cucumber, but he only gave me 3 tiny pieces....so sad. Whatever, I wasnt going to let it go to waste so I just ate it with a fork. However I would suggest offering a proper portion of sliced cucumbers for your Gluten Free patrons, as a courtesy. I ordered the gluten free Falafel Salad and my son ordered the Yogurt Kebab. Both were very enjoyable! My falafels were moist on the inside with a crisp outer shell, my only suggestion would be to add a little Feta to the salad, wouldve been more interesting than pkind of plain and redundant--especially for just under $20. My son enjoyed his dish, even using the pita to scoop it up. We were so full and brought more than half home. The waiter was very kind and was generous to offer us a complimentary piece of Baklava (we had waited a bit for our food but it wasnt really a big deal--we were enjoying ourselves). Parking is a bit of a challenge because Columbia Rest and Backwaters has Valet that sort of capitalize the parking area-so plan ahead for that. We went at 2pm so it wasnt too difficult but I would guess dinner might be a challenge unless you use their Valet services--but Im only guessing. The restaurant is cute inside, and I saw they had a wine cooler. I think we'll go again and order a bunch of different appetizers and try some Turkish wine. I highly recommend trying Mio's!

Let me start by saying that the food itself is actually good. The flavors are solid and you can tell the recipes are authentic Mediterranean dishes. If this review were based purely on the food, it would probably be decent. Unfortunately, a restaurant experience is not just about what ends up on the plate it's about service, value, and how customers are treated. That's where this place completely falls apart. First off, the service was extremely inattentive. From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. The waitresses seemed disinterested, barely checked on the table, and when we tried to ask questions about the menu or request anything simple, the attitude we got back was surprisingly rude and dismissive. It felt like they wanted us to order quickly, eat, and leave without asking for anything outside of the most basic transaction. One thing that really stood out was their refusal to substitute sides. At most restaurants, asking for a simple side swap is a completely normal request. Here, they flat-out refused with zero flexibility or willingness to accommodate. It came off as unnecessarily rigid and frankly pretty unfriendly. When customers are paying premium prices, a little accommodation should not be too much to ask. And speaking of mistakes they forgot my fries entirely. My meal arrived incomplete, and I had to point it out. Even then, it didn't feel like it was taken very seriously. No apology that felt genuine, no urgency to fix it, just a very casual reaction as if forgetting part of a meal was no big deal. When you're charging the prices they do, attention to detail should be the bare minimum. That brings me to the pricing, which honestly feels way too high for what you get. The food is good, but not nearly good enough to justify the price point when the service experience is this poor. There are plenty of Mediterranean restaurants where you can get equally good if not better food while actually being treated like a valued customer. Overall, the biggest takeaway from my visit is that good food alone doesn't make up for bad service. Restaurants succeed when they combine great meals with hospitality and basic respect for their customers. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Between the inattentive staff, the rude attitude toward simple requests, forgotten items like my fries, and the high prices, the experience left a pretty bad impression. I really wanted to like this place, but the service made it hard to justify coming back. There are too many good Mediterranean spots out there to spend money somewhere that treats customers like an afterthought.
