Falafel plate
Amber H.

Sooooo surprisingly good. Came for lunch with some coworkers and had the best baba ganoush and falafel plate. A little pricey but well worth the money and amount of good you get. Everything tastes freshly made!!

Turkish flavors hitting different in Florida Manjal did NOT disappoint the food was chef's kiss from start to finish. If you know, you know. If you don't... what are you waiting for?

Cute little hidden jam with delicious fresh Turkish food. There's something for everyone. Fish dishes. Vegetarian dishes. Everything is moderately spiced and moderately priced as well. The place offers inside and outside seating.

Chicken Shish for lunch.

This place is really good. Nice outdoor dining space, which is where we sat. Service was great. All items were explained in detail, along with some personal recommendations. The drink menu is pretty limited but enough selection to find something to enjoy. I had a glass of the Pinot Grigio and it was fresh and tasty. I ordered the chicken shish. It was very good. I thought maybe a tad high in price for a chicken lunch ($25) but the flavor of the chicken was great. I also really liked the lightness and freshness of the side salad - very nice. The rice was ok but definitely could have used more seasoning. I just poured my tzatziki on it and it was much improved. My friend ordered the cold appetizer sampler and liked everything on there. All in, it was a good dining experience and if you like Turkish food, you will certainly like this place.

"Spicy Ezme" Fabulous with the Sea bass if you like a spicy note OuiOui.

Had a very nice lunch here & took an entree home for Sir Hubbers to try. He LOVES authentic Turkish/Armenian. Moi loves the authentic Spicy Ezme. YUM YUM YUM YUM bring me lamb/fish kabobs with spicy Ezme. And they do make a fabulous ground lamb kabob. I ordered the dinner entree that comes with two kabobs so we could share. I also ordered the Sea bass filet dinner entree. It comes with two pieces of filet so we could share it as well $30. I took half of both home to Sir Hubbers & he actually did a happy Turkish dance while eating it. hahaha.. I have never seen him do that before! He was so excited to have some authentic Turkish cuisine. The Sea bass dinner is so delicious! We both LOVED it with the spicy Ezme. The owner told me they make everything from scratch, even all the desserts. We both LOVE the way she does the side salad & rice. She chops all the onions, carrots, cabbage etc., she puts all kinds of yummy crunchy things in her side salad. Lots of textures. And, they put the orzo in their rice. YUM YUM YUM YUM we love it this way. OuiOui. This is a family run business. It's very cute inside & has a lovely patio. Can't wait to return to try some more dishes. Highly Recommended.

A little bit of a hole in the wall but what a fantastic meal. Family owned and very friendly staff. Walked in on a friday night and there was no wait. Had the chefs special which is a must try. Baba ghanoush was also fantastic

Salad, baklava and fluffy rice

Been missing Turkish food since my trip a few years ago so was happy to try the Mangal. It did not disappoint! My favorite items are the yogurt chicken shish kebab which comes with a fresh salad and rice, the stuffed grape leaves and the lavash bread -which if fluffy, fresh and delicious! I have done take out and eaten there - either way the food is perfect! And they give you a big size portion - so good for leftovers or for sampling a few things with friends. Even better than the food is the service - you feel like you are eating at a friend's house! I appreciate the beautiful decor inside and out. It's still a hidden gem, but please check it out so they are successful.

Sea bass fillet

This family-owned Turkish spot was my first introduction to Turkish cuisine, and it did not disappoint. The service was great--the gentleman helping us was kind, welcoming, and very attentive. I tried the sea bass fillet, which was fantastic. It had a nice charred edge, and the rice and salad paired perfectly with it. For dessert, I had the baklava, which was beautifully flaky and just the right amount of sweet. A wonderful first experience!

Mix grill for 4

Went back to Mangal again today. 4th times? We ordered something different this time: mix grill for 4. It is so much delicious food. We stuffed ourselves and still had leftovers. This time ordered dessert with Turkish coffee at the end. Honestly, I am not an espresso kind of person and also I am not keen on sweet. But oh, my goodness, the Kunefe is out of this world. It is warm, it is crunchy, it is cheesy, it is a hint of sweetness. With the Turkish coffee (better than all the espresso i have tired in Italy, France...), what a finish of a wonderful meal. The service, as usual, very welcoming , very pleasant and very helpful. The ambiance, this time we sat inside, clean, bright and quite. We had a wonderful time. We will be back soon.

Contact info, Nalan

The service from Nalan was excellent. She is a professional. The man in the kitchen is creating one of the most authentic and full flavor Turkish food. So glad I turned around. Man is it good. I'm staying south of Tampa and stopped for lunch while in the area and sure am glad I did. I will be telling all my friends about this place for sure! I'm gonna bring my friends to this place for sure!!!

Veggie hummus appetizer yum

Really amazing flavors highly recommend. The food was so good and the pick up order was made super fast!

Diner type of setup and has outdoor seating. The food was delicious. However, although the portion seemed big, the chicken dish was mostly fried bread at the bottom. I guess Turkish food prices are comparable to steakhouses. There are no fancy ingredients; veggies, fried bread and chicken.

Chicken Sauté'
Mike P.

We had another great dining experience at the grill last night. The service was great and the food was amazing. As we visited with Nalla, the owner, she shared with us that they are working on new menus. She said this dish is one of the new dishes and you can order chicken, lamb or I believe shrimp also. This place is a hidden gem, no matter what you order!!!

This week I visited Clearwater Florida for the first time, and Mio's Grill & Cafe was recommended…read moreby me to a friend who has visited Clearwater many times, and said to me that this restaurant was a "must visit" during my time here (and they were right). We sat outside during our meal and the ambiance and feel of the restaurant was very welcoming! As for entrees, I ordered the Chicken Gyro Platter which was very well made, seasoned perfectly, and presented very well. The chicken was very well seasoned along with it being perfectly cooked, and the Rice Pilaf was the same. Overall nothing I would change about this dish and I would recommend ordering it. Next, one of the people in my party ordered the Chicken Gyro Salad which they loved. Same as my dish, the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was also mentioned that the lettuce was extremely fresh which is always great to see. The last two members of our party ordered the Beef/Lamb Gyro Salad which they loved. Again the meet was cooked very well and the lettuce was extremely fresh and overall they both loved their meal. (We did also order the Baklava for dessert which was fantastic as well) To finish, our service was top tier and our server Tayfun was extremely attentive throughout our entire dining experience and was very friendly! Amazing 10/10 dining experience and would most definitely come here again and recommend to others!

We sat outside on the water and it was a little cool but a light jacket made it comfortable. It was a beautiful day! We started with Turkish Coffee, which was delicious! We have no idea how to "read the coffee grounds" HAHA but I can tell you mine looked like a duck and a crooked United States, if that helps anyones premonitions, LOL. We ordered the babaganouj appetizer, which was DELICIOUS!! It comes with pita, but for me, being gluten intolerant I asked for some vegetable. Waiter offered cucumber, but he only gave me 3 tiny pieces....so sad. Whatever, I wasnt going to let it go to waste so I just ate it with a fork. However I would suggest offering a proper portion of sliced cucumbers for your Gluten Free patrons, as a courtesy. I ordered the gluten free Falafel Salad and my son ordered the Yogurt Kebab. Both were very enjoyable! My falafels were moist on the inside with a crisp outer shell, my only suggestion would be to add a little Feta to the salad, wouldve been more interesting than pkind of plain and redundant--especially for just under $20. My son enjoyed his dish, even using the pita to scoop it up. We were so full and brought more than half home. The waiter was very kind and was generous to offer us a complimentary piece of Baklava (we had waited a bit for our food but it wasnt really a big deal--we were enjoying ourselves). Parking is a bit of a challenge because Columbia Rest and Backwaters has Valet that sort of capitalize the parking area-so plan ahead for that. We went at 2pm so it wasnt too difficult but I would guess dinner might be a challenge unless you use their Valet services--but Im only guessing. The restaurant is cute inside, and I saw they had a wine cooler. I think we'll go again and order a bunch of different appetizers and try some Turkish wine. I highly recommend trying Mio's!

The exterior of the building was nothing to brag about, but the interior was neat, well laid out, and clean. The owners of the restaurant were up front to greet dinners. The waitress was prompt and attentive. Mirage features a lunch buffet, so I was able to sample small portions of a lot of offerrings. My first plate was filled with selections from the cold salad station (hummas, pita, Persan picket, baba ganosh, etc.). The entree station had four different rice (balas) preparations. There was Basmati rice, a savory rice and two of the balas were sweetened with fruit and spices. All were tasty. The proteins were primarily chicken selections, but there was a beef koobideh that was also delicious. There were a broad selection of lentil and vegetable stews, so I made multiple trips to the station eating them as a side dish to a protein, over basmati rice and savory rice preparations. It may have been a cultural fax paux, but I treated the falafel like a cornbread muffin as I enjoyed the stewed vegetables and lentils. It was a good meal polished off with a serving of baklava.
