We dropped in here for lunch while we were in the plaza shopping. It is conveniently located in the Tri City plaza at US 19 and East Bay. The food choices are all freshly prepared. My friend had a chicken swarma pita and I had a custom bowl. It is an excellent concept. The bowl starts with two bases. I opted for spring greens and quinoa, but there are several choices including rice if preferred . Then one can choose up to eight different items , a sauce and then on to protein choices. My falafel was cooked while I waited. It was very tast and not as dry as some I've tried. The bowl was 12.95 and was enough for two meals for me. My friend said the sandwich was excellent and she managed to finish it. Service was good, people were friendly and the place was very clean. It is a cafeteria style but not too busy. Definitely worth a return visit to try all the options. There are also wraps on offer and kebabs. And I did notice while I was waiting for my falafel that the place serves only halal meat if that is important to you. As a vegetarian I found plenty of fresh options. I had a team lunch at Boustan. It wasn't very busy on a weekday. I got the Saj wrap with beef. I like that I can customize the ingredients. It reminds me of CAVA or Chipotle, where you go down the line and add ingredients to your wrap or bowl. The wrap was warm and juicy. The garlic sauce I got was flavorful. The wrap looked big, and it was very filling. Some of my team got bowls and they were able to pack up leftovers. I think it is a good option for lunch in the area. Came here because it reminded me of CAVA. They have different mediteranean flavors, and you pick if you want a wrap, pita, or bowl. You can also customize what you want. I Ordered a pita and fried halloumi cheese. My husband ordered a bowl. I just didn't taste the layers of flavor that I do at CAVA. This just wasnt for me. Boustan Boustan! Rhymes with so good so good. This place serves one of the best wraps I've ever had. The wrap itself is thin and flavorful, and I usually go for the traditional SAJ wrap with shiitake mushrooms as a protein substitute. I add garlic sauce and swap the pickles for radishes, which makes it even better. The za'atar fries are fantastic. They're savory, perfectly crispy, and very addictive. The mango juice is another highlight. It has small pieces of mango pulp that give it a fresh, authentic touch. It's probably their most popular drink for a reason. More like a 3.5. This is similar to a chipotle or subway, etc. where there's an assembly line of ingredients. In this case, Lebanese ingredients. The food was excellent, but the staff needs a bit of work. For the good-- the food was delicious. I built my own bowl with kefta, garlic sauce, and lots of veggies that had a Lebanese twist (i.e. sumac onions and pickled turnips). My husband got a beef wrap and said that he loved the bread it was wrapped in, which it looked like they made fresh. For the bad, a couple people in our party ordered the items from the menu that came with set ingredients, but the staff struggled to know what came in them. It also seemed like some staff was pulled from the assembly line to work in other stations, which was a bit manic. Overall, I think we'd go again. It might be better to order takeout though if they offer that. read more

I got the custom bowl with chicken shawarma and beef kafta! I loved it the spicy garlic is delicious. They have plenty of seating inside and outside so you can dine in or order to go. Visited the Boustan location yesterday for their 50% off special and it was busy!! I ordered the Saj Wrap w/ Shawarma Chicken with sides of Crispy Falafel Bites & Fried Halloumi. All the staff that we interacted with were very polite and professional!! There are so many options to choose from for the wraps & bowls!! You can either choose from specific items or build your own which is nice!! The toppings are also very colorful as well!! Food was delicious and I look forward to trying more menu items on my next visit. It's just okay in my humble opinion. I've been here twice. Their pita, sauces and salad ingredients are good and fresh. But their main proteins are not that great. I've had their Beef and Chicken Shawarma and they are flavorless and chewy. If I'm in a mood for a good vegan bowl with pita, I'll be back. read more

I never leave reviews, but the staff went so above and beyond that I had to! I had the chicken shawarma bowl with vermicelli rice and arugula, and all of the toppings from multiple types of onions, tomatoes, radishes, jalapeños, green olives, topped with their Boustan sauce. It had so much flavor and was absolutely delicious. The portions are also VERY generous. My husband had almost the same thing as me, but as the SAJ wrap and also loved it. We shared an order of pita chips and hummus which was delicious because they make the chips fresh to order. A brand new Middle East food chain has entered the local scene. Welcome to Canadian-based Boustan. I excitedly ordered a San Wrap with Beef, a side of falafel, & my wife got a shawarma chicken pita pocket. We watched them cook the wrap on the saj. So fresh! Then they loaded it with generous helpings of toppings, like pickled onions, hummus, labneh, tomatoes, pickles, & so on. The flavor combo was excellent & the beef was of high quality. I loved it. The falafel was totally flavorful & crispy on the outside & slightly moist on the inside. The chicken pita was delicious. Other dishes have zaatar, sumac, pomegranate molasses, & other traditional flavors of the Middle East. Boustan is new, & although the employees were excellent, they had some issues with communication amongst each other. So my order got a little messed up & then at the register it rang up differently from what I was expecting. The manager came over, apologized, took responsibility, fixed the bill, & threw in a free side order. He handled it so well. What a great businessman. Not my usual type of eating establishment, but very close to the house. We went 07/29 for lunch, at that time was only open for a few days, I have to say it was very good, tasty, flavorful I believe Lebanese/ Mediterranean food. I had the Boustan bowl and my companion had the oven Baked Pita pocket... was soo good . The pocket was filled with Shawarma chicken with plenty of chicken / vegetables and a delicious sauce. Both items were hot and fresh. The restaurant was very clean, the only slight issue I had was the staff was a little clueless as to what ingredients went into each item. I did. Suggest that they put a " cheat sheet" on the counter to aid the employees. Hopefully they took the idea. Overall it was a good experience, price on target and yes I will be back. read more

OK as someone from Los Angeles area, this was AMAZING. I have been searching for really good food in the St. Pete area for a while and yes I had to drive 15-20 minutes but this was so good T-T When I walked in, it didn't look "authentic" but the food was so flavorful and incredible. The pita and wraps are amazing. It's great to have a middle eastern spot in Clearwater because there aren't too many. The pita is a bit smaller than the wrap and eats a little easier I think. Both bread options are fresh made and are the highlights of the food. The Zatar fries are tasty and zesty. Love them. The falafel however is pretty blah. The flavors and recipe seem good but the execution is poor. Mine were super soggy and mushy which is not what I would expect for something fried to order. It could have just been the ones I got, however, I shared my experience with the lady who rang me up and she simply said "sorry". That's all. So while I have seen some great energy customer service people at times, the day I got soggy falafel it wasn't there. I'll be happy to go back, at times, but NOT for the falafel. Great owner! Superb, fresh, clean, flavorful food. I've had Middle Eastern food across the USA as well as Israel. I have never found a place that rivals my time in Israel for the flavors, until now. All of their sauces including tziziki, tahini, and babaganoush are as good as I've had. Their falafel was moist due to less chickpeas and more herbs, and their baklava was super balance without that overly-done sweetness. Boustan is an awesome healthy and delicious restaurant where you can build your own fresh wrap, pita or bowl. Everything is fresh, made in front of you and Halal! We ordered the Beef Shawarma wraps and Zaatar fries. We also got their fresh Mango juice and Hibiscus juice. Their staff are friendly and work hard to please you and get your order right. They let us sample their Taboule and Avacado salad. They made our wraps in front of us. It was exciting to see them place a dough ball into the wrap machine and watch it flatten and make our wraps and then they cooked them fresh before filling them with our orders. After making your wrap, or pita, they put it in a hot press to make it extra delicious. The portions are large and the wraps are big enough for two meals. The fries were so tasty that we didn't need anything to dip them in but they did give us a garlic sauce. They have fresh lemonade and sodas, of course. They just had their grand opening, yesterday. Everything is clean and neat and well lit with big front windows. It has a fast food atmosphere but with a fresh twist. This place is open until midnight and does not disappoint.
