Went to Turkish Kitchen last Thursday. Had a pleasant experience but I give a lower rating because I don't find myself going back to this restaurant too much. The flavors were unique and the place was super busy. I will admit that Turkish food is not my favorite. I got the kebab mixed grill with the ground chicken kebab and steak kebab, it came with a side of rice but no sauce. I think it lacked some type of sauce because it was very dry. The rice was tasty in flavor but very overcooked. The server was very nice but didn't give us suggestions of menu items to give us an idea of what the menu held. She also was not attentive, once we finished our meal we sat there for about 30 minutes waiting for the bill. My family really liked the Salmon dish, the isakatar entree and the appetizers. I didn't love the babaganoush, it was a little too smokey. The cigar rolls were delicious, the hummus was amazing and the grape leaf rolls were delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was very beautiful, so I think it's a nice addition to our community. I will say that the price point was a little high, but what isn't these days. This charming, relatively new addition to Brandon's food scene is welcomed. Outdoor patio seating and both tables and booths inside surround an open grill. The noise level is low and makes for easy conversation. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the chicken Adnan served with rice and salad and grilled vegetables. The coffee is strong f and delicious and the perfect accompaniment for the umudal Turkish icecream which is rich and creamy with a taffy-like texture. Our waitress was all smiles amd polite. So happy to have a Turkish restaurant in the neighborhood. Service was quick and the food was delicious. We came for lunch on a Wednesday and the place was pretty busy. We had hummus with homemade fresh fat pita! Oh I wish I could have a plate of the olive that was on top:) My meal was Lahmacun. The meat pie is a huge cracker pizza looking thing. I was instructed to put all the greens I want on it and roll it up like a burrito! So delicious. I could only eat half because it's huge. My mom got an appetizer of liver (can't remember the name) which came with tomatoes and a small side salad and some fried potatoes on top. She loved it! We will definitely be coming back. read more

Same as last time, the restaurant is beautiful, and we sat by the window which was a very nice and bright setting. Everything we have tasted so far is amazing. We went to dinner yesterday at the Turkish Kitchen. Our appetizers were absolutely wonderful. Babaganoish and cigar borek. Unfortunately, neither of our entrees were great. Both were ok. But nothing that would excite you. Our deserts were very good: baklava and Kunufe. The Turkish wine was good. Service was fast and good. Ambiance was fine. Hey Brandon, You are missing a great meal if you do eat here. My lamb, and my wife's vegetable meal were outstanding, Home made bread (from scratch) tasted like Europe. OK that said, Turkish Kitchen: Figure out a way to serve ice tea (this is America and many people want that at a meal). Also, come up with a dinner/weekend selection of wraps. We eat Greek often, and sometimes I crave a wrap and fries. Not everybody wants a full meal like we had. (Even though it was some of the best lamb this side of Europe). So, anyway, in an area with too many burger joints, and fast food dives, please support this wonderful restaurant. read more

Wow... just wow! This place is phenomenal. Let me start with the service - spectacular. They are so attentive, personable, give guidance on menu selections and truly care about your impression of the food. Their attention to detail is top notch - even coming by to wipe away the water ring from your drink on the table. The atmosphere is very modern, but true to Turkish culture in color palette and design elements. Now, the food... spectacular. We went in wanting the whole experience - we started with the Cold Mixed Mezze, choosing Babaganoush, Saksuka, and Spicy Ezme. All were great, but the Spizy Ezme really stole the show. We opted to splurge for the Balloon Lavash, which was a great upgrade but I'm sure the pita that typically comes with these cold mezze dishes would have been great as well. We also tried the Cigar Borek and Falafel from the Hot Mezze section. The Cigar Borek is an absolute must try, so so good for any feta lover. Finally, the entree: we split the Mix Grill for 2 between my husband and I. The chicken shish is absolutely phenomenal - I am not sure what their secret is in the marinade, but truly it is spectacular. The lamb Adana gets a special shout out from me - not a lamb lover but it was so so tasty! My husband's shout out goes to the doner. Truly, though, you can't go wrong with any of it. We're foodies who miss living in more urban communities with a diverse selling of cuisines and won't drive into Tampa . So we're thrilled to have Turkish kitchen. We had the Mixed grill for two and everything was wonderful, well seasoned and cooked well. It included some ground seasoned chicken, ground seasoned lamb, a meatball, some sliced beef, and chicken kabob. The Babaganoush as good also, although I asked for pita and got some other bread. Service was enthusiastic but a little green. The guy filling water glasses was by every two minutes and the waitress disappeared for long stretches. We were done with our meal for 10-15 minutes before she came by to check on us. But they just opened so some slack is warranted. One other note, very limited adult beverages available- couple of beers and two Turkish wines - and no drink menu. But the wine was fine, it just would have been nice to know what I was drinking other than white or red. read more
