This diner is a hidden gem right off of Brandon Blvd. As soon as I walked in, the familiar smell of a Greek diner assured me that we were about to have a good experience. This is a small restaurant with booth and table seating. As we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly server who instructed us to sit wherever we like. The menu covers everything from breakfast to dinner. My wife and I shared the ultimate skillet, which was one of the specials offered on a Saturday. It was stacked with homefries, vegetables, meats, gravy, and cheese. It was a great value at $15. The flavor was outstanding. I will mention one negative. The parking situation is not good. I did not see many spots available. I just happened to get a spot right in front of the restaurant but I feel like we will struggle to find parking if it's busy. I think it's time to update this review. This place is still amazing. The staff is always warm. There is ample seating, and the food is great. This diner truly is a hidden gem. The prices are extremely reasonable, which is why I end up here a few times per week. I'm a big fan of the veggie omelet. I get a side of hollandaise because theirs is absolutely the best. I also love their steak tips, when they are on special. Their grape leaves platter and fried seafood platters are also some of my regulars; just make sure you have a big appetite if you order either because they are substantial! read more

We came by for a girls breakfast and catch up time with friends. It was not busy so we enjoyed a booth. Our waiters was very attentive and kept our coffee hot while we enjoyed omelettes with sliced tomatoes and biscuits. The omelette I ordered was not exactly off the menu but they made it just right which was so nice for me. The coffee was good as they made so fresh decaf when I ordered it. They claim to have the same cook as Romanos, which was by Publix on 60. Romanos Greek Italian restaurant. Was our favorite go to place. The best Gyros and Greek salads. Not to mention the eggplant parm and chicken parm. This AG Dinner just can't hold a candle to Romanos. We are so disappointed that Romanos is gone. With no explanation. We did try the AG dinner and left very disappointed. Will not be returning. Still wish we knew why Romano's Greek Italian restaurant closed. From the time we sat down, it took 20 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us. I ordered the Greek hamburger, and when it arrived, the meat on the hamburger was flavorless. It almost seems like it was a frozen patty that someone just heated up. I couldn't eat it :/ However, my husband enjoyed his meal. I had ordered some French onion soup as my side, and that I really enjoyed:) so my review is really a mixed review. This was my second time dining here, and my first experience wasn't that great either. I got a French dip sandwich my first visit and it was underwhelming. All I can say is WOW. We happened into here honestly by chance and I'm so thankful we did because we've now found our favorite spot. Today we had breakfast but my family is looking forward to trying their dinner options. We were chatting with another couple at a different table who told us how the chefs in the back have been working for locally renowned restaurants in the area for decades and dang did the food prove them right! Visited a few times over the past few weeks. Had breakfast and lunch. Both were very good. Friendly staff, good food, excellent value for the money. Have not had dinner yet, but I'm sure it will be good. I highly recommend A&G Diner. We did not take photos of our lunch meals, however we had a turkey club ( came with two sides) I had the chicken rice soup and side salad. Where do I begin? My family and I were out in Brandon to do a "Facebook Marketplace Meetup" and decided we would try something new since we were on the opposite side of town. We passed a few different places that piqued our interest, but then we were at a stop light on Parsons and saw A&G Diner. A&G is a tiny "hole-in-the-wall" type of place, which we love. And it was PACKED at 6:30pm. We finished our Market Place transaction and made our way back to A&G. By the time we got there at 7:30pm, the crowd was more manageable (they close at 9pm on Fridays). Zoie was our server and she was very friendly. She was happy to welcome new customers and gave us the "lay of the land." To be honest, our choices were a bit overwhelming, simply because there was so much we wanted to try. After much deliberation and questions very patiently answered by Zoie, I decided on the Fish Sandwich, Fries and Cole Slaw. My son ordered the Chicken and Waffles, my daughter ordered their Cuban Sandwich and freshly made Deviled Crab, and my wife had the Chicken Picatta. Oh, and my wife and I love Fried Okra, so we ordered a side of that as well, as well as the onion rings. The verdict? It was all DELICIOUS. The fish sandwich was Sea Bass. It was light, fluffy and perfectly cooked. My sides were also great. The Cuban Sandwich was thick and juicy, with perfectly pressed Cuban Bread. The Waffles were thick and perfectly cooked, along with the Fried Chicken Tenders. And the Picatta? My wife was very surprised to have such a good Picatta at a "diner." BTW, the tomato slices in the Picatta picture are from the Fish Sandwich. The Fried Okra, was also fresh and tasty. But be warned, the servings are HUGE. We had plenty of food for lunch the next day. My Fish Sandwich was accidentally even larger than it was supposed to be, as the chef misread the order. They actually apologized for giving me so much food! :) As our dinner progressed, we had a wonderful conversation with our server, another server, and the owner. A&G was a very pleasant surprise and we will definitely find reasons to go back to Brandon so we can eat there again. read more

The place was crowded and very noisy including crying kids. Servicer was down to earth and friendly. The food itself was 5 stars. The salad that with my meal was very fresh. The fried shrimp was freshly breaded. The flavor was great. Egg Benedict was also ordered. I was told it was fantastic. So food wise I definitely recommend this place. The place is new. So nice, we went twice!! Decided to try something new on a Friday night. I'd seen posts on our community board & suggested we try it out. We were greeted & seated immediately. We tried the popcorn shrimp & fries kids meal as our app. Hot & not greasy. Crispy fries. Hubs had the Baked Lasagna special. It was really tasty & well seasoned. I had the Gyro Platter & Chicken Lemon Rice soup. Great flavor! Amazing portions. We had desserts. Baklava & (I think:) Galaktoboureko. It was SO good! We ate every bite - well beyond when we should have stopped, because we didn't want to. How much did we like it? We returned to dinner again the next day to try more! We had late lunch at A&G on Sunday and all agreed it was a great addition to the Brandon area. This location has housed many businesses, so my friends weren't aware of the new incarnation. Two of us had falafel sandwiches, one had an omelet with gyro meat incorporated, and I had a classic Eggs Benedict. The food was great and plentiful, three of us took home leftovers. The service was also great, our server Das was very personable and solicitors. He took note that we were celebrating a birthday and brought out a complimentary piece of baklava. All in all, this little "hole in the wall" is worth the trip. read more

Stopped in today for lunch with my hubby. This American/Greek diner is unassuming at first glance; but don't be fooled. The food is delicious! I had a gyro with house made potato chips and coleslaw. The sandwich was perfect and the homemade tzatziki sauce was amazing. My husband had eggs with hash browns, oatmeal and a pancake. He loved his meal as well. I discovered this gem of a Restaurant a few months ago when it first opened. My daughter and I have been going there regularly ever since then. I have tried almost everything on their menu and have not been disappointed yet! The owner, George, makes sure that no one leaves hungry or dissatisfied. I told my son about it and now he and his family are becoming regulars too. After seeing the incredible reviews, I decided to try A&G Diner. I ordered the fried seafood platter: fish, shrimp, clams and a crab cake, plus 2 sides. The fish was moist and flaky. The crust was perfectly seasoned, crunchy and very light. It was simply the most delicious piece of fried fish I have ever eaten. Three jumbo shrimp had the same amazing crust. A mountain of fried clams was a show stopper. Fried clams are almost always chewy, but these were the most tender clams I have ever eaten. They also had the same wondrous crust. They were the most delicious clams ever. The large crab cake was the best of all. It was mostly crab, with just enough binder to keep it together. I was too full to even try the sides. The diners on each side of me ordered Greek salads, which looked family sized. These diners raved about their salads. There are two large menu boards on the wall behind the counter with daily specials that featured breakfast specials and Greek specialties. I wish that I could give A&G Diner 10 stars. read more

We ate there recently and 3 out of 4 of us did not like our meals! I had a gyro with chicken. It was dry, chewy, and tasteless. I had to ask for extra sauce. The waitress brought out their pink sauce, which was good, but it still didn't make the gyro edible, in my opinion. My youngest son had a dry waffle that wasn't sweet enough. My oldest son ordered fried chicken tenders that weren't crispy or breaded enough. My husband liked his meal, but overall we wasted our money since three of us left still hungry. We even told our waitress about the chicken tenders, but she didn't offer to get us anything else or to refund his order. We won't be back. Too bad. read more
