The food here is amazing quick and easy. They offer a decent verity of sandwich's and hamburgers. Including a rotating hot plate options. Been coming here for a few years now, I don't think I've had a bad thing personally. Also the portions are absolutely heavy. If you get the hot plate you will be walking out with a few pounds of food. They don't skimp on the rice and beans! Things that I recommend are the Cuban, Hamburger, Hot plate chicken and the hot plate pork. Can't go wrong with any of the sides here too. As for the location it's nothing over the top. Outside has plenty of parking but can get full during lunch time. Inside is the same some seating not to much. It's more of a Togo place but still can normally find a seat. If you are in the area and are hungry stop by before 3pm.

This was hands down the worst Cuban restaurant I have ever had the displeasure of patronizing. It…read morewas horrible! I consider myself quite an expert on Cuban food, I'm Cuban and lived in Miami 18 yrs so I know my Cuban food. This is not the place to go. So I had Cuban toast simple right? Cuban bread and butter can't mess that up well they did bread had minimal butter I actually had half there came home toasted the other half and put butter. My boyfriend had the media noche ordered with no pickles and no mustard. It had pickles but guess what it didn't have: pork not one slice not one sliver- zero pork basically we paid for ham and cheese. And not even good ham. It was terrible! Oh and service ? When we got there pretty empty we had like two people ahead of us. It took 30 min to get our order. I had to get up and inquire- honestly I think they forgot. When I approached the counter she asked do I need anything? I said yes my food. The person who took care of us disappeared outside to talk on phone and continued her conversation in the bathroom! I saw her go in yapping on the phone. It gets better- the person serving the food (this place is cafeteria style" was on her cell phone while serving food!! She was holding phone by her neck. Stay away from this place! And they are opening one in my area- Seminole Heights- I won't be going. Again- don't waste your time or money.

My friend ordered the same juice because we both love Natalie's, along with the Belly Benny. Our server, Paige, was very sweet, and our food came out quickly even though the dining room was full. Both entrees were absolutely delicious. The poached eggs on the Benny were perfect, and I'll definitely be back to try one of their other Eggs Benedict dishes. The restaurant was bright, clean, and relaxing inside. We really enjoyed our Saturday brunch and will definitely be adding Himes to our regular dining-out rotation. FYI Their brioche was so good, I took home the leftovers and heated up the next day and it was still perfect!

But, I don't give up easy and we were on a mission to try something new! The inside is spotless and very well decorated. I was greeted by Kai who kindly took my order. At first, I ordered a meat lovers omelet with chorizo and other tasty meats. Second, I ordered a veggie omelet for me. Kai was very helpful. But then, I realized I wasn't really sure what a Dominican would eat for breakfast. I asked what a Dominican would eat and Kai, his mother Heidy, and a customer all explained the answer was the Mangu breakfast. Without even knowing what it was, I ordered it. The enthusiastic customer told me he gets it multiple times a week! We all chatted for a while. Heidy explained it includes plantains, pickled onions, eggs, fried cheese and chorizo! Wow! That sounds interesting and wonderful. Heidy and Kai were so gracious and welcoming and I truly appreciated their hospitality. As for the food, it was flavorful and plentiful. We really enjoyed it and honestly, couldn't finish it so we saved leftovers for dinner. Welcome to the Dominican Republic in Tampa, specifically Temple Terrace. Wow! We can't wait to try something else! Life is good with wonderful, hidden, authentic food and enthusiastic, friendly and gracious service.
