    Vieux Carre Cocktail

A Hidden Gem with a Killer Happy Hour! I came here for the Italian food, but I'll be coming back for the cocktails and chicken wings! Seriously, don't skip the wings--they are a showstopper. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and topped with a dry rub seasoning that's just chef's kiss. The cocktail menu is equally impressive; perfectly balanced and refreshing. Great ambiance, friendly staff, and surprisingly awesome bar food to go with the excellent pasta. 10/10 recommend!

    Prime beef Ragu...absolutely delicious!

The food was delicious! I chose the Prime Beef Ragu. Our server, Christian, was friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. Love, love, love! Will definitely be back again!

Prima recently transitioned from a seafood concept into an Italian restaurant, and I was curious to try it. One of the bussers shared that seafood can be a bit niche and business had slowed down, so they decided to expand their clientele by shifting to Italian cuisine. The chef and owners are still the same, which I think is great ~ it keeps some consistency and heart behind the food. I ordered the wild salmon, which had pieces of bacon and served in a delicious creamy sauce, topped with goat cheese and fresh herbs. The portion was very generous for the price, and it came with chunky mashed potatoes on the side (those were just okay). My friend ordered the scampi pasta and really enjoyed it. We also had cappuccinos, and I was pleasantly surprised ~ they were actually very good. A lot of restaurants don't get cappuccino right, so that was a nice touch. The service was good overall. Our server, Bailey, did a nice job, though it felt a little rushed at times ~ possibly because she's new. We went on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy, so the atmosphere felt relaxed and comfortable. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I appreciate their effort to evolve while keeping the same culinary team.

We came here to celebrate my moms birthday and the energy was welcoming and beautiful to look at. They sat us in the more private air conditioned "outdoor" area. Most of us ordered the Alfredo fusili pasta with chicken. The Sicilian sunset was delicious and the orangecello was strong. Our server was kind and provided great service as well. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars was I wish we could've gotten a special birthday shout out for my mom and my drink wasn't as good as expected.

Went for early Valentines lunch and was not disappointed! The staff were courteous and love the new decor! The food was so good there was no need for Togo boxes!! Complimentary bread was amazing, as the meals! Definitely will go again! Prices were reasonable too!

    Server Tony

The food was excellent the only thing that was better was the service Tony was the server. The Parmesan fondue was to die for and so was the chateau Brian.

Ordered wine on happy hour from open to 6:30. Great service! Got bread to the table. Apps: bruschetta / calamari. Ordered: shrimp scampi / ragu / vodka pasta. Yummy.

Tried the new rebranded Italian flare at the former Shrimp Boat. They have some of the old faves on the menu but some I will miss like the Chateaubriand and Lobster Bisque. Actually I was bummed there was no soup choice so I had a Caesar Salad instead. The Filet Mignon was flavorful and tender and the honey walnut green beans were the best green beans I've ever had! I tried the Chocolate Mousse ice cream without the Expresso and it was good. I ordered a Chicken Limone to go and I really enjoyed it! Nikki was very attentive! They have some kinks to work out but overall I was pleased.

I have been here many times, bragged on them as matching Berns for their beef quality and even treated friends to dinner here. I was so disappointed tonight. My waiter forgot the standard bread basket. Finally the second server I asked brought it for him . The châteaubriand.was more sirloin in texture and most of the potato cubes didn't make it to the blender for whipping. I saw the waiter when he took my order and not again until I was done with the meal. I was going to get a desert to bring home but now my trust is badly damaged, so I skipped it.

Nice Lil cozy spot & perfect for a romantic date night. Very dim lightning & I thought it was closed from the way the outside looked. But cute & I enjoyed my lemon drop martini. Next timeI will try some food.

Food was tasty. I had filet mignon and wife had stuffed flounder. We had a side salad which was good and we liked the bread. We also had the cheese sticks as an appetizer and they were absolutely fantastic. Filet was tender and delicious but very small. Description said it was 8 ounces, but didn't seem to me. My complaint was the bottle of wine we purchased. The wine was good however I feel like they are a little bit price gouging on it. They charged $44 and you can buy this wine at retail level for around $13. Normally restaurants usually only double the wine price.

    SALMON A LA MEUNIERE

We were searching for somewhere to eat after our usual placed closed early. We decided to give this place a try. We were seated right away & ordered a few drinks. My Mom liked hers but mine tasted off (even she thought so). They were good about it & fixed it somehow but it came back tasting much better. My parents both ordered from the 3 course menu & I went with the salmon a la Meunière. It was delicious & I had enough for lunch the next day. The bread was very tasty too. We sat next to a couple that had been coming to the restaurant for decades & told us all about their history and how they come from Plant City to eat there. They were great company. The only downside was how rushed the waiter seemed. At times he seemed to leave the table before you had even finished ordering. I think it was because it was the end of the night. I'm sure we'll be back to try other selections now that we've found it.

The staff are so friendly and down to earth. Kind people. I love that. The place itself is inviting and feels extremely unique. It was setup and decorated with care. You walk in and you're in a different place. You forget you're in a shopping center and that this is a storefront restaurant. The mint tea lemonade drink they serve...? DO NOT think twice about trying it. I'm not usually one for minty stuff, but this drink is absolutely phenomenal. What about the food, you ask...? Well, this is officially my place in all of Tampa Bay to eat Mediterranean food. And I've tried many that are absolutely delicious. But Jerusalem beats them all out. The meats are truly, expertly cooked, with flavors that give you that food high that leaves you feeling amazing after the meal. But then the sides are equally impressive. Everything down to their salads is fresh and packed with flavor and nuance. I have not had a bad thing on this menu. It's all been amazing. Oh... try their baklava. We ordered the Sampler so we could try a little bit of the basics on our first time visit. The sampler included hummus, baba ghanouj, falafel and pita - the baba ghanouj was the stand out. Can't wait to come back and try more delicious Middle Eastern fare at this locally-owned, family-run business.

But as I was walking the isles I caught a view of one of those cheese steaks and wow...I could see it was prepared with a proper Amoroso roll too. Okay, I got to check this joint out and glad we did. We ordered a large to split with fries. Perhaps one of the best in the area. Roll was fresh and steak done just right with cheese and onions. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I won't be returning. I stopped in around 3:00 p.m. and was happy to see it wasn't busy. I went to the deli counter, waited for someone to serve me, ordered my chicken salad, grabbed a soda and chips, and headed to the open register. As I walked up, the cashier called another customer over ahead of me. I waited while he spent several minutes deciding whether to pay cash or by card because of the 4% card fee. I continued standing there with my three items, to the point that I actually set them down and debated walking out. Then, instead of helping me, the cashier motioned for an entire family to come to the registereven though I had been standing there waiting before they arrived. After that, she waved over another customer, and I had to wait while a mother and her two teenagers decided which desserts they wanted. Again, I stood there patiently. When it was finally my turn, there was no greeting, no "thank you for waiting," nothing. The first thing I was asked was, "Do you have a pickup order?" I said no. She then motioned for my chicken salad container, saying she needed it. I placed it on the scale and set my other items on the counter. The cashier then asked, "Are you okay?" I simply shook my head because, honestly, I wasn't. Instead of recognizing why I was frustrated, she continued talking, making comments, and escalating the interaction rather than simply ringing me up. At that point, I asked, "Do you want to argue? Do you want me to go back and forth with you?" I then asked who the manager was. She pointed to a woman beside her, who identified herself as the owner. I asked if she could ring me up instead. Even then, the cashier continued making comments. It was only after she continued engaging me that my voice became louder in response. Rather than addressing the repeated comments from her employee or asking what had happened, the owner immediately said, "Do not raise your voice at my employee." That response was disappointing. There was no concern for the customer experience, no apology for repeatedly being skipped in line, and no attempt to resolve the situation. There was also no acknowledgment that the interaction had been escalated by the cashier's continued remarks before I ever raised my voice. The irony is that I have spent a significant amount of money catering from Frankie's Deli over the years because my customers love the food. Good food will bring people in once. Great customer service keeps them coming back. Sadly, this experience ended that relationship for me. There are plenty of places with great food, but respect and customer service matter just as much. One final thought: this is Florida not NY. Hospitality goes a long way. The aggressive, dismissive attitude I experienced isn't what I expect when supporting a local business. I won't be back.

They were out of iced tea, and after I'd already paid for a drink, I asked if I could substitute bottled iced tea. I was told no, had to get a credit for my original drink, and then pay an extra $0.75 for the bottled tea. The final surprise was opening my sandwich to find a whole wheat bottom with a white top, even though I ordered whole wheat.
