    BEIGNETS

I ordered to go, I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I hate writing reviews like this but the food didn't taste how we imagined it would be. Nothing that we ordered made us want to try more items on the menu. Even the grits were disappointing. The spinach dip was ok, but the bread that came with it was HARD, the beignets were ok but everything else was quite disappointing. Again, I don't like writing reviews like this, this was just my experience. Based on other reviews some people have better experiences. Try them out for yourself, don't take my word for it.

The eggplant dish is so good and so cheesy. I wished it came with a couple more pieces of French bread because there is so much sauce to soak up. I'd order this again in a heartbeat though. The 12 napkin beef po boy, full portion, is enough to have leftovers but me mindful of the sauce soaking into the bread. My mom loved it, but it was her first time trying a po boy. The bread pudding was divine. It's such a nostalgic dessert for me and the portion you get is enough for 2 people. The interior is such a thoughtful designed place, it certainly feels like I'm at a touristy NOLA spot which is pretty cool. I order to go but the process was smooth and the staff were friendly. I've only eaten here twice and both times I've been pleased with everything. I can't comment on the bathroom but if it's anything like the restaurant, it'll be neat and tidy.

Food was delicious and portions were huge! Service was quick and efficient. The beef Spring rolls were unexpected and just the right amount. The sauce on the Rita's chicken sandwich was divine. My son really enjoyed his spicy club also

Tibby's, I love it here but I never been here before the holidays and it's more beautiful. The staff is always amazing. The restaurant is like an art museum and I always see something I haven't seen. Today, I got the Catfish and Cheddar Grits with Red Gravy and to eat tomorrow, I got the Who-Dat Blackened Cajun Chicken dish. The catfish is cooked to perfection and the cheddar grits is so good. Who-Dat Blackened Cajun Chicken dish is very unique with the grits cake with the sauce, the chicken is tender and I love the artichokes is wonderful. FYI -- there is 2 areas where you can have a get together. The music is lively too. In the bar area, you can sit back and watch some sports games. When I'm in the area, this is my go to in Brandon.

    HONEY-CRYSTAL SHRIMP

Updated review! I came here for dinner and had a great time. The server Faith was very attentive, gave great recommendations, and was overall very nice. I ordered the Rita Chicken based on reviews and was not disappointed. It was very flavorful and good. We also had the Honey Crystal Shrimp and they were so good! The blue cheese is definitely a nice addition to it.

Hot sausage Poboy that's made with links that are not even spicy

If you are going to advertise as a Cajun restaurant at least know how to make Cajun food. I got the hot sausage Poboy definitely not hot sausage the shrimp Creole, which was very salty and the potato skins, which were undercooked no silverware. Haven't tried the bread pudding, but don't have very much very very disappointed that I spent $90 on dinner that's supposed to be Cajun. As a girl from Louisiana visiting Florida, I am very, very disappointed.

As someone straight outta NOLA to give this restaurant a 5 star is a big deal. The shrimp gumbo was delicious. Flavored great, just like home the catfish and grits were delicious as well and the servings are huge. The crawfish pie was just ok, I was looking for a little more flavor. The rev beans weren't back home red beans, but they were good. Maybe too much rice bc the beans didn't give me that creamy feel. But hey, I'm born and raised so I may harder to please with some stuff We had a table of 6 plus a kid and the servers were great. We had a girl that was training and she did a good job. Both were friendly with welcoming smiles. I love all the decor, everything NOLA, it was definitely a NOLA vibe along with the great music playing in the background. The restaurant was clean, along with the restroom.

    JAMBALAYA, CRAWFISH PIE, CHICKEN GUMBO
    Vivian P.

Space is big, gives off New Orleans vibes for sure. Our waiter, Anthony, was very accommodating and friendly. We got the jambalaya sampler and also the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits is very tasty, grits being very creamy and shrimp perfectly seasoned, the red wine gravy complimented the dish well. The jambalaya sampler was good way to taste a bit of multiple items. I've had better gumbo but it wasn't bad overall. Overall a good place with great service and if you're feeling for some Cajun style dishes.

DEBRIS ROLL, SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP, HONEY CRYSTAL SHRIMP, FRIED PICKLE SLICES
    Diamond W.

The decor screams New Orleans from the second you park. When you walk in you are greeted with a grand piano and the hostess. The walls are covered with NOLA decor! I usually do shrimp and grits or the catfish and grits, this time we switched it up by ordering the appetizers. I think the entrees may be their focus. If you were in between an app or an entree I recommend the entree. We ordered fried pickles, which were a bit salty but not unbearable. The spinach and artichoke dip was pretty good, maybe a 4/7. The boudin rolls and the debris spring rolls were neck and neck with both sitting at a 5/7. The honey crystal shrimp was a bit sweeter than i expected but the presentation was excellent. I would rate it a 4/7. And the Maw fries a 2/7. Love Tibby's but i will stick to the entrees. For everything we ordered it was 99 dollars even.

The food and the service here is very good, it's also reasonably priced and they give you ample portions. They have a full bar and a decent selection of beers to choose from. The decor is reminiscent of New Orleans. It is a little chilly in there, so you might need a sweater.

    Hurricane
    Devann C.

Tibby's is one of my favorite places to go to for a good Louisiana meal. The decor definitely gives a New Orleans feel along with the music. It's a cute place if you like art bc it's always decorated in there. The staff is very nice and no matter who the bartender is, the drinks are always going to be good. I've been here plenty of time but always forget to take pics bc the food is that good that I can't wait (LOL). Everything is flavorful and the quantity of food you get is large! This is one of the few places with good po boy in the area. The only downside is that the restaurant's location is kind of ducked off and the road it's on is kind of busy, so it's easy to miss the turn into the parking lot. Other than that, it's a great place to catch up with friends and fun group dinners. Oh! And make sure you get the Hurricane, it's just as good as the ones in New Orleans!

We're really glad we got to try Tibby's! Everything was great the service, the food, and the atmosphere, which had a fun New Orleans vibe. We were welcomed and seated quickly. Our server was professional and very attentive -- 10/10 service. The food was delicious. I'm not too familiar with New Orleans cuisine, so I can't say how authentic it was, but I really enjoyed it. I had Rita's Chicken, which came with a rich butter sauce, very flavorful. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm excited to go back!

HALF FRIED SHRIMP PO BOY with shrimp
    Cyandra Y.

My family and i met up at Tibbys because we wanted to listen to live music with good drinks and food. The service was spot on right when we entered the door. The service was good throughout our meal. We had fried green tomatoes and they were okay. Nothing to brag about or get again. The shrimp po boy was really good though and also the hurricane was great too. The grits were under flavored. But besides that. I would definitely come back for a good drink and vibes.

I will give them another shot just in case my experience was off because again, everything did taste really good, but I just didn't see a wow factor appeal that would bring me back over other Mediterranean restaurants in our area.

I must be the only person who didn't know that Mike's Pies is hidden in an office/warehouse space…read moreon Windhorst near Falkenburg Road. They've been there for 3 years now. I was still getting their key lime pies at Winn-Dixie up until this past week. For those who are not local, they started their business in Tampa over 30 years ago. The pies can be found nationally at restaurants and grocery stores. They happened to be one of many contestants in a pie contest on GMA recently which prompted me to look up their address. They are closer than I thought. As others have said, it's hidden. Thankfully I read the reviews stating that because it still took me a while to find it. I had also read that you need to call ahead if you want something specific, or during the holiday rush for pies. I went on a whim to see what they had available. They had many frozen pies, and I believe some were being held for pick up orders. She said there was one seasonal guava cheesecake left. At that point, I didn't even really care what other flavors they had. I think they had key lime, pecan, and others. It was guava that screamed the loudest to me. It was a very quick transaction after that. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I kept it in the car for a while because I had other errands to run. It defrosted enough were I could pull out a slice of it and pop the rest into the freezer (yep, it can be refrozen). These cheesecakes are already pre-sliced which is very convenient. Mind you, these are larger than any of the Mike's Pies sold at grocery stores. There are 12 big slices in this cheesecake. I couldn't wait for my slice to defrost. I went ahead and ate it partially frozen. It was the best cheesecake ever! The guava is not just on top of it. It's mixed inside the cheese cake. It had guava in every bite. It ended up being so creamy towards the end as it continued to defrost. Maybe because I took my sweet time savoring each bite. I so wish this flavor was on their regular local menu. I remember seeing it on the menu at Fat Willie's Fish Camp back in September but they ran out of it. I feel like this cheesecake was meant for me to find. I will get it again whenever it's back on the local menu. This cheesecake will have to last until then.

Ordered pies well over 48 hrs in advance and was not told at any point that they are frozen solid…read more Not when I ordered and not when they were picked up. Why would I order a fresh pie for $27 and it's frozen? Why do you need 48 hrs ahead of an order if you freeze them.... Very confusing and disappointing when we ordered these for pick-up at a certain time for an event then had to cancel our event. I do want to also mention that when I called the girl was not apologetic or understanding at all and told me all that was needed was for it to sit out for an hr. We picked them up at 11 and they were out for hrs... still frozen solid.
