What a great place. The desserts are pretty great. I got some taiyaki, the chocolate capybara, and the jelly cat. But I also go the Ube ice cream in the fish/taiyaki waffle cone. Personally, the ice cream in the waffle cone was worth the trip from Tampa. It was fantastic. The atmosphere here is very clean with modern furniture. I was a big fan of the music playing here. The service was good too. It's definitely worth checking out if you have a sweet tooth
Went here for the fluffy pancakes. Service: had to wait for someone to show up at the counter, but was otherwise OK. Food: we ordered the mango pancakes, the cookie butter pancakes and the chicken bento box. All was good. The pancakes are really more of a dessert place. Extremely light and fluffy, they feel like eating air. The chicken bento box was our favorite. Summary: While we had no big complaints here, it was a bit pricey and was fun for a Sunday morning brunch. So do with tasty what you will. Would return if in the area and looking for dessert.
We came here to try their famous Ube pancakes but ended up ordering that and a Taiyaki Sweet Filling (pastries shapes as fish with sweetness stuffed inside) and Karaage Popcorn Chicken. My favorite was the Ube pancake of course, followed by the popcorn chicken. Portions of the food are enough for 2-3 people. When you walk in, take a peek at the menu on the wall and make your way to the register to order. Once you order, you can sit anywhere and wait for your number to be called. We went on a weekend during lunch time, and while there was a decent amount of people, we were able to find a table easily. While waiting, you can take your selfies at the bench area or play the Claw machine to win a stuffed animal. A cute little spot off 60 near the Brandon Mall in the same plaza as Outback. You won't be disappointed!
I had been dying to try this fluffy pancakes for some time now, whenever I saw them on Instagram but now of them featured were close to where I lived. On a day that I was spending time for with niece, I figured it would be a good time to try them out and we were near Brandon where I had seen this location had them. Of course, she had never heard of them but normally is willing to try anything sweet. I was so excited to see that they had Ube on the menu as one of the flavor toppings so naturally that is what we ordered. I'll be honest, they are a little expensive for what you get and not knowing how my niece would like them, I wasn't willing to get her one just for herself. We made this just a snack that we could share and get food later if we wanted. The shop is super cute on the inside with lots of photo op areas. The Ube was great and I am glad I was finally able to try these yummy pancakes.
While this restaurant is well known for its sweet desserts, I decided to try their bento box for the first time -- specifically the chicken bento box -- and I was pleasantly surprised. The box came well-assembled: white rice topped with teriyaki chicken, garnished with rice seasoning, a side of noodles also seasoned with rice seasoning, a salad with dressing, and two pieces of fried gyoza. The gyoza were the highlight for me -- crispy and quite good. Overall, the ensemble made for a satisfying, no-fuss meal. Simple, decent, and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again. The ambiance is where this place really adds some personality. One corner of the restaurant is dedicated to DIY painting activities, making it a great spot for creative types or families. On the other side, there are claw machines for those feeling lucky enough to win a stuffed toy. It gives the place a lively, playful energy that sets it apart from your average dining spot. Kichi Taiyaki has to be one of the coolest spots to have opened in the Brandon area for Asian dessert fanatics. The service always friendly. They offer a plethora of dessert options such as BingSu, Famous Fluffy Pancakes, Boba, Coffee, Matcha, Ube, Taiyaki... this amazing list goes on. I recently tried their soft serve matcha ice cream with the Taiyaki with fruit pebbles and matcha powder on top (2 toppings included) and it was delicious!! My friend loved her ice cream as well and loved the vibe of the place as a KPOP fan she is with their KPOP music. It's a great spot to chill with friends and family, they even have a few arcade games to play; which we even won a capybara plushie! One of my proudest moments LOL. My family absolutely love their fluffy pancakes. I ordered the Creme brûlée pancake Togo however by the time I got home it wasn't as fluffy. However, as long as you eat your pancake fresh there my family says it's mouth-watering delicious. I also have tried their coffee, as well delicious and rich, they also had a milk substitute which is amazing for my lactose intolerant peeps. Go check them out when you're in the area!

I had the bacon, mozzarella and corn as well as the chicken, mayo and mozzarella and cream cheese, hotdog, and pork floss. Super delicious and affordable. I also got a Mango Passionfruit Fruit Tea with Strawberry popping boba. Excited to come back.

I was really impressed with the variety, having savory options like chicken alongside the sweet red bean and Ube was great. I had been excited to try the tuna flavor, but sadly, they were out that day. All the taiyaki flavors we tried were delicious. For pancakes, I got for the Ube crème brûlée pancakes, which were a seasonal option. These pancakes were very indulgen. They were super fluffy and topped with a rich, caramelized crème brûlée cream on top. While they were a bit on the sweet side (perfect for anyone with a major sweet tooth!), I was really glad to have the savory options like the taiyaki to balance it. The girl said that was last week so we settled for the Nutella and vanilla swirl. We also ordered the custard taiyaki and the Uber matcha. This place is really cute inside. It wasn't just at all around lunch time on a Wednesday. I orders the Karaage Popcorn Chicken spicy. It was hot, fresh, and really good. However, it wasn't spicy to me. I also ordered the mango passion fruit tea. I'm this was also really good and not overly sweet.
I went to Kichi Taiyaki and had their mango passionfruit tea with brown boba as well as the spicy gyoza! The mango passionfruit tea was very refreshing and delicious. The boba added a nice little touch to it. The veggie gyoza was fresh, hot, and tasty. It had a nice flavor and kick to it. The dipping sauce gave it a delightful balance to the spice. I would definitely recommend adding this place to your must try's. The service was great and I was assisted immediately.

Overall, the pancakes were delicious. The service was okay; it took about 20 minutes to get to us. So I'd say don't go if you're extremely hungry lol and the ambiance is okay. I am never a fan of the metal chairs because I'm a plus size girl. read more

First thing I noticed walking in was the painting pottery corner??? So precious. Looks like sometimes they have figured you can paint and there's a whole section of DIY paint materials. Very cute addition. Makes it more of a "third place" vibe. Three claw machines at $1/play is dangerous too. I might have to try for a gengar. I got the iced latte and it was over $8 for a regular size which is wild but this is a dessert spot, not a cafe, so I'm not mad at it. It's very creamy. Tastes like melted ice cream (not a bad or good thing). Plan on trying dessert another time. read more
I brought my 2 daughters aged 8 and 3 and they had an amazing time. We came on a Friday night around 7PM and had no problem finding a table. We ordered ice cream and Bingsu and none of us were able to finish since the serving sizes were so large. We then picked out our objects for the kids to paint and this is really where I was impressed with how sweet they were to my daughters in explaining the process and helping us get set up. Small selection to choose from but they were all great. The Taiyaki: Ube was a little gritty but flavor was good. The vanilla custard and Pizza were amazing! Bento box was 9/10. Nutella milk tea was super good, not too sweet, just right. read more
Had a great time at Kichi Taiyaki and I'm sad it took me so long to go here. We got a few desserts to try and had a great time playing the claw machines. We got the chocolate capybara with the brown sugar boba and it was a little sweet for me but my husband loved it. We also go the ube soft serve with the fish waffle cone and it was amazing! We also tried a few of the Nutella and custard stuffed fish waffles and it was absolutely amazing! I can't wait to come back and try other things like the pancakes! This place is super cute the owner was lovely and welcoming. The jiggly cakes looks amazing but I didn't grab I was more hungry for food so I grab the popcorn chicken which was delicious she also mentions the bento box was great too I'll grab that another time. Cute spot, open til 10 for convenience. Large tables and plentiful seating. Vending machines are all $1 each play, with pokemon plushies for prizes. The taiyaki were delicious and made fresh as it took 15min to prepare. I enjoyed the custard, red bean, and taro taiyakis. The taro was the best in my opinion. read more

The pancake was amazing! The person behind the counter recommended the Biscoff pancakes. I asked him which he recommended because I don't like too sweet. He was spot on. So fluffy! I got the chocolate cat jelly for my daughter and my son tried the fish waffle with chocolate. Everyone had a great time! I can't wait until the next time I'm in town and can come back. read more

We came in for happy hour and it was nice since it was 10% off taiyaki combo and souffle pancakes. We tried both as well as a coffee boba. Everything was delicious! Our tiramisu pancakes were jiggly and fluffy. They are heavily egg based, so expect that going in. The taiyaki was yummy and the savory pepperoni one was a nice change of pace with all the sweet flavors. They quoted us a long wait for the pancakes, but they actually came out first! Then they were nice enough to bring us the taiyaki and tea when it was ready. Inside, everything was very nicely decorated a lot of good photo opportunities. read more

Had to try the jiggly japanese pancakes! This was a fun little place to go, but very pricey. The taiyaki were good. We tried the pepperoni and cheese, as well as the Nutella. The Nutella one was amazing! We also tried the Tiramasu pancakes and the Biscoff. The Biscoff was my favorite. It was very clean, nicely decorated and service was fast and friendly. read more
If u r in love with mango, just like I am, make sure you get the Mango Cheesecake Bingsoo. Make sure u have one or a few people to share this with. It is huge and definitely a Mango Lovers dream come true. We came here on a Holiday, & possibly people did not know they were open. There was no concern of wait time and my fave area to sit were the tables beside the colorful wall paper. Everyone working was very friendly and helpful. Next time, I will try their soft serve in a taiyaki fish cone and maybe their jiggly pancakes Ube flavor. Check them out for a dessert that is definitely out of the ordinary. we got the original flavor jelly cat with condensed milk and it was so cute!! it was so funny. I went here last weekend and it was an amazing experience. The decorations inside and the K-pop music video gave an excellent vibe to the restaurant. The staff was also very friendly explaining the menu and even taking our food to our table. I ordered the Ube Soufflé Pancake, and it was delicious! The flavor was so good, and the level of sweetness was perfect. However, there were some disappointing things in my visit. The Jiggly cat was adorable. However, it did not have any taste. Also, when I asked for a cup of water, they couldn't help me with that. Regardless of the last part, everything was good, so I'm going back soon! read more

We got the mix taiyaki infill. We have the traditional red bean, custard and tuna Mayo. I like the tuna may. All of them are delicious. We also got the soufflé with mango topping. The whip cream shape it like a rabbit face. The soufflé are very soft. The soufflé needs 25 minutes preparation. You will need to be patience and wait to be get the soft rise soufflé. read more
Huge location for Japanese Fluffy Pancakes! Luckily I came on the perfect day and there was no wait so I was enjoying these amazing pancakes within 15 mins since they are made to order! These were very tasty and not overly sweet! Not the best ones I've had but they were great for the price and portion! I would definitely be back to try some different flavors! Super cute inside and friendly service but I didn't like the food. I got the classic pancake to go and it was very soggy and messy. The presentation wasn't great either. I ended up eating part of it and throwing out the soggiest parts. read more
The cashier was nice, he greeted us and asked us we would like. I let him know it was our first time here so he waited patiently and answered any questions we had. After a nice brunch, my friends and I took a trip to Kichi Taiyaki for dessert. It's a small shop with a cute ambiance. We started with the Red Bean Taiyaki. It tasted like red bean with a little sweetness. It was good to try, but we weren't a huge fan of that item. Next, we had the Mango Cheesecake Binsu. From the cheesecake bites to the sweet chunks of mango and the shaved ice cream effect, we loved this item. It was huge a huge portion, so I would recommend sharing it with others. Our last item was the Fruity Soufflé Pancakes. We chose strawberry as our topping. They were a hit! They had the perfect amount of sweetness. The fluff and texture were amazing. My son has been wanting to try this place so we thought we would give it a try. Really cool spot. We didn't get any of the jiggly soufflé pancakes, but be warned they take awhile if that is what you want to try. The staff is pleasant, friendly, and fun. It is evident they enjoy their jobs, and that makes it a great atmosphere. It's also has very cute decor. We tried pretty much all varieties of Taiyaki. The savory varieties are wayyyyyyy better than the sweet. I vote chicken as my favorite. The ice cream is also top notch. This is a great place to try if you want something a little out of the ordinary. We will definitely be back. read more
