Matcha Red Bean Shaved Ice

The inside of this cafe reminded me of a yogurt land, it was quite modern with comfortable seating. It was small but wasn't packed, so we grabbed seats right after ordering at the counter. We ordered the Matcha Red Bean Shaved Ice. The dish was very sweet, almost too sweet and tasted a bit artificial. Our favorite ingredient from the dish was the lychee jelly for sure! I feel like the shaved ice here would be perfect for kids but as someone who's tried many different kinds of Asian shaved ice variations, this was my least favorite and least authentic one. The workers were nice though and they do have other dishes to try, that may be better.

It is actually 4.5 stars rating. Since no half stars round up to 5. Shave ice with flavor is originated from Taiwan. I like the store did create some new and it is their own way. The shaved ice is smooth with nice design. Love the interior with dine in partition separation. We start with charcoal waffle with two choices of topping. I like this one to try. The charcoal waffle is unique. Our topping is the ice cream and the egg pudding. It is item to share. We also got the Lilac Lily shaved ice. The choices we have is taro flavor shaved ice. This item come with the chewy boba, grass jelly, red bean, gram crackers, condensed milk. It is sweet with sweet. The quantity is good to share. Overall our experience is great. Shave ice have good combination. Love the waffle.

Why 5 stars? Because as usual, frozen sugar is the key to my heart. --- --- --- My favorite marathon runner and fellow frozen sugar connoisseur, Chris W alerted me to this place because he saw HIS favorite tri-athlete post about it on Talk. I have really great friends. When I arrived, I was bummed because they said they were out of mango, strawberries or boba, which would have been my three top choices for the shaved ice. Eventually, she said that they did actually have boba and that if we wanted, we could wait 15 minutes for her to cut up some mango. I opted for some other things: banana, cantaloupe and some jellies - I actually can't remember everything and if you check out the photo, it's actually pretty difficult to tell. Speaking of the photo, Olympian Chris W said it looked like a "monster vomited on a plate," and I can't disagree with him. But this shaved ice bowl might win my all-time "worst-looking, but best-tasting" award. Seriously, it was amazing. I loved every bite. Other than wishing I had mango instead of banana, I'd eat this every day and note get bored of it. I hope they gain popularity because it's in kind of a weird location and it's not exactly very Instagram friendly, but it is absolutely delicious.

Stopped in for some quick boba on a hot day and left super happy. The menu while has a great selection isn't overwhelming. Their shaved ice options looked amazing and had we been staying I would have loved to indulge but taking it outside to the car, well I can't imagine in floridas heat it would have lasted long lol. My son got strawberry and my husband mango and both said they were delicious. Oh they were both milk tea. The service was super fast and the gentleman explained how the menu worked and what they had as well. I don't have a negative word about the experience.

2 stars. Why? Because of the lack of customer service. I just thought the male was rude in his delivery of communication to us and the members of my party thought so as well. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but for all 3 of us to leave feeling the same says something. 2 stars because they gain 1 additional from the 1 rating I would have left for the goodness of the boba tea I ordered. I was super excited to come in after sushi but that feeling was shattered with the smarty pants attitude of the staff member. Let me preface by saying I DO have a hearing impairment and I should not have to feel any different or apologize because of it. If individuals would speak clearly it would probably be no issue however the struggle today at this place was real! Came in and greeted. Was asked (what all 3 of the people in my party thought was asked) was if we'd been to Nice before. To which we all 3 said "no". The staff member proceeded to explain what boba tea was. To which I spoke up and said "oh we've had boba tea and are very familiar with it " to which the response was in sort of an attitude was "well that's what I asked you when you walked in". All 3 of us looked at each other. My friend asked about the waffles and he explained the type and the other friend asked if they could just order green tea ice cream to which the response once again was an attitude of like "well if that's all you want". I asked for the boba tea if they had milk alternatives like almond milk or if they were all made with whole milk -- he again mumbled to what I thought he said "whole milk" so I repeat "oh only whole milk" to get a response of "OAT". Again, trying to be a nice person and due to us coming in when no other customers were there I felt I had to get something so I ordered the green tea oat milk tea with boba. The drink was good, not on the same playing field as my other fav places in the area however it was good. My only feedback was that it was REALLY sweet. But I was afraid to ask anymore questions when ordering.... You may be able to get it unsweetened or lighter sweet. Let's just say I won't be back here. No feelings hurt. Just one less place to get my business!

I got the OG. The regular ice has no flavor (usually there's a base flavor to the ice from other shaved ice places I've been to). It wasn't too bad with the condense milk and powder that came with but it was such a limited amount that the bottom of the bowl was just chipped ice pieces. The fruit tasted fresh but a bit disappointed in the taste. I was going to give a 2 star but decided to go up to 3 because their charcoal Belgian waffle was good with good texture and right amount of sweetness.

Cute and aesthetic shaved ice place! My friends and I ordered the matcha ice, strawberry ice, and taro ice, which all came with pre-determined toppings. The ices themselves were good, but combined with all of the toppings, they were a bit too sweet for my liking. There is a build-your-own option, which I think I will be taking advantage of next time. I personally enjoyed the taro ice a lot. The matcha ice did not have a strong matcha flavor, and the strawberry ice was very sweet.

Aesthetically pleasing interior.

Interesting take on shaved ice. Beautiful interior. Not actual traditional shaved ice, yet the presentation and ice dessert in the bowl was delicious. If you're looking for beach shaved ice this is not It. I would still suggest you try it. They are more of a gourmet take on frozen dessert. It's about $7-$11 for a bowl. 4 stars because the name doesn't match this dessert shop and the prices don't match portions. However, I can say this would be a great date/destination spot! The Sushi restaurant next door, Kelp, is also owned by same.

Red Bean Ice cream is good ! Waffles delicious- highly recommend. Customer service 5 stars solid . 4 Stars for overall experience because came in at 8pm on a Tuesday and they didn't have some of the toppings. Will definitely come back !!!! They had fresh fruit pops that's I'm excited to try next time.

Stopped by for the BOGO drinks between 2-6pm. A bit disappointing but can't expect much for the price I guess. Fruit smoothies are NOT made with fresh fruit. Milk tea was just an iced black tea, not milk tea. The Thai iced tea had too much milk. Better to spend the money and get the drinks at Thinh An.

Nice experience again, been trying to go here anytime I'm on waters ave, my first time they got one of my drinks wrong but the boba that day was the best I've ever had. Second time was nice a sweet young lady made us the best tasting waffle and topped it perfectly, third time I was in a rush so I didn't taste food right away to give an honest opinion, but it wasn't as good as it usually is.

Cookie Monster shaved ice

I've been to Nice a couple of time and this place is so cute. The shop is always clean and provides a safe environment to prevent Covid-19 such as screens between tables and employees wearing masks. The store also sells items like fruit popsicles and a variety of bottle drinks. I liked the Cookie Monster shaved ice especially with the banana. I would recommending sharing with a friend since there is only 1 size of the speciality shaved ice. The charcoal waffle don't really have a flavor so I recommend getting your favorite toppings. Sometimes they don't have certain fruit toppings due to what is in season. Overall, it's a nice dessert place to try out.

Mango madness
Michelle N.

Great dessert spot especially on a hot 90+ degree day. Came here for the Taiwanese style shaved ice that is made of thinly shaved sheets of ice and turning it into delicious fluffy ice flakes. If you love mango like I do then I would recommend getting the mango madness - mango ice, diced fresh mango, mango pudding, and mango syrup. A light and refreshing dessert when you want to be somewhat healthy.

They specialize in boba tea beverages and have some Vietnamese/Thai food options. I ordered the kumquat tea with crystal boba just the way it's made and it was the perfect amount of sweetness (I don't like overly sweet). I also ordered a special banh mi and was very happy with it. I love that this location is NOT in Pinellas Park where most of the boba tea shops usually are, and they are also available for delivery. No greeting, no anything so i just assumed she might be having a rough day. Gotta give people the benefit of the doubt. I looked at the menu and attempted to order a milk tea. Unfortunately they only carry almond milk and whole milk so i wasn't able to get what i wanted. I hope one day they consider carrying other milks because that greatly limits those who are lactose free or nut free. I asked about the specific oolong they had on the menu and the cashier wasn't really able to even tell me anything about it. I ended up with a passionfruit tea and honey boba. The tea wasn't bad, i will give them that. My total was over 7 dollars for 1 drink and a meh experience, not really a place i plan to visit again.

It's eccentric decor and theme makes it delightfully quirky and fun to visit. Understanding that good boba tea (Ten Ren being the baseline) is hard to come by in the Tampa Bay area, Manga Tea is pretty decent. At the time of our visit, the boba-rista was incredibly friendly and genuine - her welcoming attitude definitely suited this business - so kudos to her! The Tiger and standard milk teas served their purpose, but the fruit smoothies stood out pretty well. The menu is a mix of traditional flavors and the neo-bubble drink trend (more toward the latter). There is a decent amount of sitting room at which soft-cover manga publications are situated. Aside from the manga reads, there is also a free single-player arcade and nice pay-to-play claw machine. There are also a few non-beverage/food items for purchase for those anime fans. This is definitely a great hangout spot for those that just want to enjoy other like-minded anime/manga purveyors. I wouldn't be surprised if Manga Tea hosted some local/mini ComiCon event as it would be an ideal venue. Overall, an incredibly kid-teen friendly and safe environment to grab your boba drinks from.

The décor is modern and clean. The Deerioca plushie cushions along the wall in the seating area are so cute. The drinks are unique. They also offer snacks such as crab rangoons and croffles. The service was pleasant & professional. We were greeted as soon as we entered. Surprisingly, it wasn't that busy on a summer weekday. The Ube Brown Sugar Deerioca Crème Brûlée Milk Tea was delicious! Their signature Deerioca tapioca balls are sweeter (more sugar than honey) than ones I've had at other shops. The crème brûlée is mixed into the drink. Keep that in mind if you have issues with texture. It's more of a clumpy pudding texture than a whipped one. Not a bad thing, but some may not agree. The drink can be customized to your liking. On the other hand, I wasn't too impressed with the Matcha Croffle. The buttery taste that makes these croffles so good was totally nonexistent. I didn't even taste the matcha even though it was sprinkled on top. It's just my opinion, and nothing more. I'd skip the croffle next time, or try another flavor. Otherwise, it was okay for an average waffle. The subtle Harry Potter references are very cool. I've read that the owner is a big Harry Potter fan. Supposedly, the original name of the brand was "Diagon Alley" but was later shortened. If you look real closely at the logo, you'll see the "da" in it. It could stand for anything at this point. I don't know... maybe it's a coincidence that there is a deer in the logo that could be Harry's stag patronus. Either way, there is a definite reference even if it is subtle. It's kind of like finding a hidden Mickey, maybe? Just take a closer look at that boba cup the next time you're there. I'm looking forward to trying more of their unique drinks. It's the perfect stop while shopping at this outdoor mall in the summer heat.
