Very small inside with only a few seats so not a place to hang out. They have self ordering kiosks but will also take your order if you wait for someone to come to the register. They also sell mochi and macaroons. Cheesecake macaroons: 0/5 -- They did not taste anything like cheesecake so very disappointing. Drink: 4/5 -- They have a good selection of flavors & customizations that cost extra including $0.25 extra for less ice ($1 extra for less ice on a large cup which is also $1 extra). They also offer a split cup option for two flavors. I tried the Thai tea & Hokkaido Milk Tea and both flavors were delicious and well mixed. I do not get boba in my drinks so can't comment on that. We decided it was warm enough to go have a chilled milk tea. I had a mango milk tea with fruit boba. The store itself gave off an odd vibe. You really never get to talk with anyone. There are signs & opaque plexiglass separating the employee from the customer, so you go up to a kiosk & place your order there. Then someone slides completed orders through a small gap at the end of the plexiglass. My drink was good, but very small & full of ice. As a result it was tasty but in not too many sips, it was gone. Small but mighty- TeaStori is nothing special on the outside. And what they are lacking in space on the inside, they make up for in serving up awesome drinks. In case you didn't get that- it's small, stuffy, and definitely cozy in the store. It's really quite cute, but not near enough room for the amount of people that come in and out on a daily basis. It's a popular place. I like that they had a few more options than just boba, like macarons and mochi ice cream. You order using one of their giant touch screens and away you go. These boba drinks were meh, it was almost $20 for these two drinks and that alone just left me speechless, because that much, for drinks??? I can't be the only one that thinks that's crazy, right? Because of the price I expected the drinks to taste amazing, however, they were extremely watery. I needed to wait outside with my dog, my bf was the one that got our drinks, so I didn't get to see how these drinks were made -- if these are tea based or just water with flavored powder, but I am very sure these drinks are just water and flavored powder. The consistency is too watery to be tea with milk/some kind of cream base. And the boba was hard, not chewy. There was a mixture of some soft ones but it was not consistent, making this overall experience an unpleasant one. The menu looked interesting, so I ordered something I've never had before: thai green tea matcha, with less ice (for which I had to pay an extra $0.50, no less). Plus apparently I have to tip, regardless of whether or not I want to do it. When the drink came it was at least 1/3 ice. When I asked the server about it she insisted that she "put less ice in". Less ice than what? A glass of ice cubes? As for the taste -- boring. Thai tea traditionally is very flavorful -- not this version! All I got was a generally sweet green drink that was mostly ice. (I sure wished we had one in Riverview/Brandon, but ai digress) Before you even enter the store, they set their standards: required masked, must be fully clothed, and its intolerance for racism and homophobia. These small gesture made the place quite welcoming and reassuring for someone like myself. They have removed their in-store seating/dining and replaced it with a wall of plastic just in case the lines start to zig zag when busy (which is typical PreCOVID, I've been with the line out the door), I wish I snagged a picture. They have a million mask to choose from, the options wrap the store. The self serve mochi is no long self serve; there is a plexiglass wall blocking employees and mochi freezer from customers. The use a microphone system so it is great to hear them. The employees were super nice when I recently visited, not really offering help with the extensive menu but that's okay, I sort of remembered from long before. Choose your tea, your sweetness level, and your add-ins. Lavender Milk Tea Extra Sweet is my suggestion if you like floral flavors bht they have SOO many options. Horrible parking situation, FYI. Easy and safe way to get a bubble tea fix during the pandemic. I live about 30 minutes away from Bobacup, so it is no easy feat for us to get here. I mean, if I didn't have a two-year-old I'd consider coming a lot more often, but there is only so much Disney+ I can handle when trying to keep him from losing it during an hour round trip ride. However, hands down, this is one of the safest experiences when getting food. You put your order in online in their incredibly robust ordering platform, park in the parking spaces in front of the building, they walk out with a whiteboard with numbered names of orders, you hold up your finger with which number you are and then they come back with your order. The employees wear masks. Phenomenal. The ordering platform is top notch. It gives you all the options that you would normally get in the store. I'll have to ask my friend Chris W., if he is able to get his standard order, which isn't on the menu, but if you are a normal Bobacup goer like the rest of us, you should have no problem getting what you want. (Seriously, if you want your mind blown you should go see how many check-ins Chris W. has at Bobacup.) I got a split cup lavendar and matcha with honey boba. Honey boba is their version of boba and it is free in June. I only mention this, because Brett N. decided to forgo free honey boba, because he didn't realize that meant the normal tapioca balls. Yes, feel free to make fun of Brett N. for this. We also got 13 mochi ice cream (if you order 10 you get 3 free. We actually ended up only getting 12 because they forgot one of ours. Since it was a "free" one, I wasn't that upset about it, but check your order before you leave!) For the mochi ice cream, we got salted caramel, thai tea (which is a new favorite of mine), matcha (always good), chocolate, ube (which isn't a flavor I'm that familiar with so I had to try it. It was good, but I'd probably keep going back to the thai tea) and black sesame (which ranks up there with thai tea for me, so good). The drinks are always on point, so I really enjoyed my lavender and matcha bubble tea. I'm kind of lucky we don't live closer or else I'd possibly be matching Chris W. with my visit numbers (probably not, but I can dream). Came here today as everyone knows I'm a repeat customer!! They are now open for walk-in business and did a great job with ensuring safety. They have plastic up to separate folks in the line and arrows on the ground that ensure social distancing. Plexiglass is installed to separate the staff from the customers and they have a small pickup window located inside down from the register. If you're in need of a mask they have plenty of those available and are super duper cute. I had to refrain myself from getting the Hello Kitty one they had. If I had known they were 15% off today I would've totally purchased it!!! If you're in the market for loose leaf teas they have bags of those available for purchase as well. While in line I saw they had caucus glass cups and we HAD to get them!!! When we purchase a refillable cup they give you free boba on each visit, just bring your cup! Even though they aren't filling the refillable cups when you bring them in, she did advise me that they'd give us the disposable one and honor the free boba. How cool is that!? Oh and did I mention you also get a cool reusable straw!! Oh yea :) Also, the staff was super friendly and even washed our straws before we placed them in our cups to use. Love this place!!! I think they might have it together now...but we'll see. Ok so it's been like 3 or 4 years since my last review. Bobacup had been so inconsistent that I just didn't care to come back to see what else had changed for the worst. It went from having hot food to no hot food to having mediocre Boba drinks too extravagant bubble drinks...i was just tired of not knowing what to expect every time I showed up. this time I ordered a Matcha green tea snow slushas a test and I have to say this might be the greatest one I've ever had in my life. A huge contrast from the one I had here four years ago that was basically light yellow. I can't say that this was the best Matcha green tea boba smoothie I've ever had, but it was solid and I knew I was getting the benefit of matcha drinking it. It definitely wasn't too milky which bothers me. The interior of Bobacup is super cute. It has always been a very clean establishment and the workers have always been pleasant. I came in a week before Christmas and it had taste full holiday decorations! Decore changes I have no problem with but constantly changing the menu and what's offered every single time I came in weeks apart was just too much in the past. I noticed they still had the macaroons and I didn't have the nerve to try one due to my last non-tasteful experience, but they looked cute. There is also a self-serve mochi station. I do love mochi so I'll probably come back to try some flavors. I'll be back to see if everything is consistent. read more

My review was over three years ago! I'm not a pooper so my review shouldn't be. There are so many options on their menu. I love that and the prices, they are not too bad at all. Tiramisu milk tea caught my eye and so did the hawaiian pog tea - passion fruit orange and guava... But I chose the unicorn ube milk shake with passion fruit boba. Such a fun yummy drink. Teastori is a very solid local spot for boba milk tea in Tampa. There are tons of local restaurants in the same strip mall so this is great for a little after dinner dessert. Drinks- 3/5. Pictured is the ube x taro milk tea in a split cup with matcha milk tea, both with mini bobas. The ube x taro was a great choice, wonderful and delicious. The matcha was a bit watery and lacking in flavor. It was my first time having mini boba and I recommend the regular size for nice full sips of tapioca. Mochi- 5/5. Highly, highly recommend trying some of the many mochi flavors! They have a great assortment and my ube mochi was my favorite part of the experience. The ratio of dough to ice cream was perfect and it was rich in flavor which can be tricky with ube. Atmosphere- 5/5. Very beautiful little shop with endearing photos along the wall. The music is great and the staff was helpful. It was nice and easy to navigate the self-order and checkout machines. I just hope they don't skip out on quality ingredients for the sake of aesthetics (matcha). I did find it a bit on the pricey side, the boba is an additional cost so beware. So Bobacup has really super cute decor and the whole of the store is just so lovely. Howevwer, the employees told me there was no other location, lol, there is. I went to the one in Gainesville a day or two later, and I definitely think that one has even better decor, but from my experience, this one has better products and may be even friendlier than GFL. This local mini-chain certainly spends a lot of their effort on their above-and-beyond-amazing decor and on innovative ideas and popular stuff and doing split cups and being super cute for people to come in and study and take Instapix - even more so at the Gainesville location - but I think they should probably put more effort into the actual taste and authenticity of the products, because the drinks aren't amazing... but they are most certainly a very lovely and friendly place, and I have to give them (just about) a 5, considering that Florida boba standards are awfully low, and by those standards, I can award this a 5 and still sleep at night. Bobacup was first introduced to me by a friend a few years back. I've stopped in over the years and it is always consistently good service and product. It's an itty bitty little spot but has enough room for a few sitting areas so and is decorsted pleasingly. I almost always get a taro or a honeydew slush. Luckily today I went with my Husband and we both got my favorites, see pics. They also sell mochi, macarons and I believe, loose tea. I miss the days when they sold snacks like spring rolls but they said they didn't receive enough sales from them. If you like boba, tea, sweet treats, etc I truly don't think you can go wrong by stopping into Bobacup. They even sell splut flavor cups if you can't decide! There are still currently doing take out only but I love their system. You go in, order at a self kiosk, and then you wait for your drink in which is was received. We ordered the galaxy tea, royal milk tea, and split drink with milk tea and strawberry rose milk tea. The best one was the galaxy lemon tea, it was so refreshing and delish. The others were okay. I would definitely return for that tea but not the others. The efficiency of this place was great and wait was about 5-10 minutes because there was already a line but I enjoyed my time there. read more

Pretty cool bubble tea shop in Tamoa close to USF. I popped in on a slow afternoon and was able to spend some time going over menu options with an employee. She was most helpful. They have a split cup option which allows you to try two tea flavors in one cup but they are separated (see my pic). This helps when you are indecisive like me! I ended up setting on mango milk tea and caramel milk tea with mango tapioca. You may be surprised to hear this, but the mango was actually far more sweeter than the caramel. I devoured every last drop fo the caramel but I did not care for the sickly sweet taste of the mango, so I am definitely glad I did the split cup option. Unless you love super sweet I can't recommend that flavor. They also have a case of macaroons and grab your own mochi. Both options have a ton of flavors to choose from and items are clearly marked what is vegan and gluten free, as are the tea flavors. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area or a local. read more
