    High tea fall festival theme
    Karen S.

I have been here maybe a few times ;) High tea - now Sat and Sunday, amazing. Our pastry chef and owner will lead you through a curated menu which is absolutely the best tea I have ever had- and I have had high tea across the world- her pastry is next level full of layers and crisp, her macarons are sweet and savory - goat cheese and beet macaron? Bacon and cheese? Tea sandwiches with fig jam, havarti and a sweet smoked ham? Apple crumb scones? Every time, every cake, mousse, quiche, ice cream is next level Stop in for a dessert after dinner in DT, make reservations for high tea, grab a cake or pie to go and amaze your guests. Tis the season

Really cute place, lots of charm. Went with friends after lunch. The employee who helped us was wonderful- very helpful explaining all our choices. My husband and my friend both got the banana pudding tart and both said it lacked flavor, but I enjoyed my choice- a chocolate strawberry meringue dessert. Apparently there are ice creams available too. Oddly we didn't see pies.

OMG! The cakes are magical. Considered licking the plate but my wife stopped me. Giant piece!!!

Their Mother's Day high tea was so well done and absolutely delicious! The interior of the building is charming. The owner came out to our table and spoke with us after we finished our meal. She is a talented and delightful lady!

Adorable, local bakery and cafe in Seminole heights that serves homemade cakes, macaroons, desserts, and coffees. I love the antique/vintage decor of the place, and the owner is incredibly sweet. I stopped in late one evening for a sweet treat and she was very inviting and explained all of the different desserts that she had available. However, after hearing all of the hype about the delicious cakes, I felt like mine left much to the imagination. I hope that this was just a weird fluke. Dessert: I opted for a slice of the raspberry framboise cake which was served on cute china. But honestly the cake was pretty disappointing... the entire slice was extremely hard, almost as if the case it was stored in was too cold or it was presliced and sitting. Since I was dining in I didn't really have the time to allow the cake to come to room temp. The vanillabean buttercream was incredibly sweet and hard, and the vanilla bean cake itself was hard as well. I did enjoy the raspberries in between the layers and they added to the visual appeal. Drink: I ordered the Salted rose latte which was delicious and the presentation was beautiful! Would explore more of their lattes. Overall, I would give this place another try. The macaroons looked delicious.

Afternoon tea- caprese and pumpkin chai
    Stephanie L.

I attended an afternoon tea put on by Chocolate Pi with some girlfriends and we all loved it. It was a cozy atmosphere to get together and catch up. The tea selection was pumpkin chai, offered with cream and rock sugar. We enjoyed many savory treats: cucumber sandwiches, quiche, bacon and goat cheese macaron, caprese, ham macaron; and sweet bites: eclairs, pumpkin pie macaron, German chocolate macaron, walnut scone. My personal favorites were the quiche, bacon, and chocolate macaron. I would definitely come back in the future, for tea or some cake and pie!

Chocolate Pi is the ultimate sweet escape, especially during Valentine's Week! From their heavenly pineapple upside-down cake to the adorable chocolate heart macaron filled with delicious goodness, every bite was a little slice of dessert heaven. The cozy atmosphere and friendly owner made my visit even sweeter. Anyone else remember when Chocolate Pi was at Epicurean? It's so nice to see the business continuing on in the Seminole Heights community. Whether you're celebrating love or just craving something delicious, Chocolate Pi is the perfect spot to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings! It is on the slightly pricier side ($20 for my slice of cake and macaron), so choose your indulgence wisely. But you'll be so happy you went for a visit.

Chocolate peanut butter tart and espresso macaron

This was our first visit to Chocolate Pi and we are so very happy. Everything is sooooo good. We ordered slices of chocolate cake, Black & White cake, Raspberry cake, Chocolate Peanut Butter tart, Creme Brûlée, Espresso Macaron, Lavender Mocha, and a Salted Rose Espresso drink. The cafe is really cool and decorated with antiques. This is a very charming cafe that I recommend. The Lavender Mocha is with Dark chocolate which I love.

    Lemon Raspberry Macaron

Kim, the human who makes all the desserts, is highly talented tee and so nice. Great atmosphere, great cake. I tried the guava cake and the lemon raspberry macaron and they were both really good. The cake was moist and fresh, you can tell everything is made with care.

Champagne & Strawberry cake for my parent's Golden Anniversary
    Krista H.

We wanted a stunning cake for my parent's Golden Wedding Anniversary and that is exactly what we got. Not only that, it tasted great too...which is a hard to find combo usually when it comes to cakes (at least in my opinion). This was so moist and flavorful. Everyone loved it, again which is rare. The champagne flavor went perfectly with the theme. The owner was friendly and super easy it work with. Could not have asked for a better experience. Will definitely be back & refer to all my friends. Side note: the macarons had amazing flavor & texture and the Mocha lavender coffee is absolutely addicting! You've been warned

The cake I had here was one of the best cakes I ever had in my life! This is something thay left a mark in me! I went twice! And I recommend to everybody! Can't wait to be back. The ladies were very sweet! I was happy to be there!

I'm mad it took me this long to try this place. It's absolutely adorable on the inside and the service is nice. I was disappointed the espresso machine was down when I went because I long to try one of the fancy looking lattes. I settled for a cold brew like latte which was OK. I'll definitely be back to try the cute lattes though! Other than that, the dessert is FANTASTIC. Their macarons are definitely in my top 3 best macarons in Tampa. Macarons are my weakness and I will be visiting this place quite often now to get them!

The inside is a decent size with tables, cute decor and lots of plants. When I first walked in, I was taken back by how beautiful the pastry display cases were!! I had the hardest time choosing which pastry to get because they all looked like works of art!! Super friendly staff, great service but now to get to the goods: the coffee and pasties. This is a true authentic French bakery, no doubt in my mind. The iced salted caramel latte is the best I have EVER had. I could taste every flavor and it blended with the coffee perfectly. The ham and cheese croissant was so flakey, the perfect ham ratio and just all around fantastic. The pastry I got had raspberry jam and white chocolate ganache (I don't remember the name of it) and it was seriously the best pastry I've ever had. Most pastries can be too sweet, but this was just right. The jam tasted fresh and homemade (probably is!) and the white chocolate ganache gave it just a touch of sweetness. It is a little pricey so be warned: $48 for two coffees and two pastries. Definitely worth a splurge!!

Good lamination of the pastry dough with a cream filling made it both a great breakfast or snack treat to share. The pistachio crusted was wonderful. Guava cream even pleased a friend who tried our bounty. Service was pleasant but we didn't interact much since it was boxed and ready to go. When I spoke with the person behind the counter she told me she could make up a few more for me but that it would be about ten minutes or so which I was okay with and glad that she was willing to do so. I told her I would visit the other shops in the plaza and be back. I waited the time and returned only to find out that she was told by someone, the owner or manager that she couldn't make anymore. So I wasted my time and spent unnecessary money on a drink elsewhere to only have that result. I know it wasn't her fault but I thought that was bad customer service. Probably more than a year later, I was down in that area again so I called ahead to see if they had any available. They did so I stopped in and got one. Now, I know Pistachios are expensive but, I do not believe what I got was worth $10.00. Even with my love of Pistachios, I thought that the top of the croissant was too covered with them to make it an enjoyable bite as it was over powered on the half that was covered. The croissant itself was a little over baked as well. I do not remember what flavor I got the first visit but the croissant was properly baked that time. I know there can be off days and maybe I visited on those days given the customer service during the first visit and the over baked goods on the 2nd but I won't rule them out, just won't go out of my way to return either.

Paris Baguette has EVERYTHING I love. Cake. Latte. Bread. Pastries. What more can a woman ask for???!!! I was already swooning over the photos and menu options seen on Yelp and Google, but TASTING is BELIEVING and now I'm so glad that I can say it's everything I hoped it would be. It's like a little piece of Paris right here in Tampa! (I've been). So I've come for cake, stayed for latte and quiche, and because why not, threw in the salad so that lunch and dinner is taken care of, too! Okay, first off...what I got. The quiche is light and airy, and is basically a croissant with quiche filling instead of a quiche slice. I love croissants, so this was a nice treat for me that I could hold in my hand. The Salted Caramel Latte I thought was pretty unique, because yes, there's a PRETZEL on top of it (which I plucked off and ate the first thing when I got it. Tasted rich and delicious, and was a great companion for my food. Now, usually I don't bat so much as an eye for a salad, but that Korean beef salad looked fresh and yummy, and it would definitely take care of dinner for the day because, why not, while I'm out? It was a decent size too, not too filling, with a good variety of veggies such as cukes, carrots, tomatoes, on top of mixed greens with Korean beef, which was the only heavy thing on the salad so you don't feel weighed down. It's great to know if you're watching your waist line or caloric intake, Paris Baguette has you covered with no problem as the nutrition facts are listed on the menu so you can make an informed choice. Of course, their cakes are so good, you wouldn't help but want to indulge. Which brings me to my final point. When I saw MOCHA CAKE on the menu, I thought, OMG I have to have it!!! It's EVERYTHING I could want and more and I must ask WHY ISN'T MOCHA CAKE MORE OF A THING NOW???? The sponge cake was light and airy like a coffee cloud as was the buttercream, not too sweet, rounding out my whole meal in nice elegant, finish. The shop itself is cute, but Muffin and I ate outside since the outside area is dog friendly. It reminds me of those open-air cafes in Europe, especially in Paris, elevating my lunch experience with my dog. The staff is super nice and welcoming on approach, too. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's really not THAT bad depending on when I go and the business hours help, too. I can't wait to go back and make this a regular spot whether I just want a tasty healthy lunch, or I seek to indulge!

I most recently took my sister here for the first time while we were visiting for a concert and she loved it, too! We started with iced baklava lattes and the greek donuts (loukoumades) drizzled with honey and this was actually my first time have these here. They're served hot and fresh -- absolutely delicious! When I want something light for breakfast, my go-to is the Everything but the Bagel yogurt bowl (house cured wild caught salmon, cucumber, pickled red onion, tomato, crispy capers, & everything seasoning). It's such a fresh gorgeous bowl, packed with protein. I also love their extra thick cut bacon on the side. My sis got the strapatsada which is a breakfast classic on their menu (greek scramble with caramelized onion, roasted cherry tomato, creamy feta, & grilled baguette). It's a very generous portion and she had a good amount leftover to take home. Of course, you can't leave without a few pastries for the road! I ordered the shredded chicken salad, and to be fair, the chicken was absolutely delicious. My issue was that it was served over a basic mixed greens salad with very few extras, and paying around $30 for it felt excessive. The loukoumades (Greek donuts) were also delicious, but again, the portion was surprisingly small for about $16. One thing that also frustrates me is that they seem to be out of many of their bakery items first thing in the morning. They do warn customers about this, but it seems to happen consistently, which is disappointing when you're visiting a bakery and hoping for the full selection. The outdoor seating also wasn't the most enjoyable. It was quite loud, the seating wasn't especially comfortable, and there were a lot of flies, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. Overall, the food tasted good, but the value just isn't there for me. I don't mind paying premium prices when the portions, experience, or atmosphere justify it, but I left feeling like I paid far more than what I received.
