Really cute place, lots of charm. Went with friends after lunch. The employee who helped us was wonderful- very helpful explaining all our choices. My husband and my friend both got the banana pudding tart and both said it lacked flavor, but I enjoyed my choice- a chocolate strawberry meringue dessert. Apparently there are ice creams available too. Oddly we didn't see pies.

Their Mother's Day high tea was so well done and absolutely delicious! The interior of the building is charming. The owner came out to our table and spoke with us after we finished our meal. She is a talented and delightful lady!

Adorable, local bakery and cafe in Seminole heights that serves homemade cakes, macaroons, desserts, and coffees. I love the antique/vintage decor of the place, and the owner is incredibly sweet. I stopped in late one evening for a sweet treat and she was very inviting and explained all of the different desserts that she had available. However, after hearing all of the hype about the delicious cakes, I felt like mine left much to the imagination. I hope that this was just a weird fluke. Dessert: I opted for a slice of the raspberry framboise cake which was served on cute china. But honestly the cake was pretty disappointing... the entire slice was extremely hard, almost as if the case it was stored in was too cold or it was presliced and sitting. Since I was dining in I didn't really have the time to allow the cake to come to room temp. The vanillabean buttercream was incredibly sweet and hard, and the vanilla bean cake itself was hard as well. I did enjoy the raspberries in between the layers and they added to the visual appeal. Drink: I ordered the Salted rose latte which was delicious and the presentation was beautiful! Would explore more of their lattes. Overall, I would give this place another try. The macaroons looked delicious.

Afternoon tea- caprese and pumpkin chai
    Stephanie L.

I attended an afternoon tea put on by Chocolate Pi with some girlfriends and we all loved it. It was a cozy atmosphere to get together and catch up. The tea selection was pumpkin chai, offered with cream and rock sugar. We enjoyed many savory treats: cucumber sandwiches, quiche, bacon and goat cheese macaron, caprese, ham macaron; and sweet bites: eclairs, pumpkin pie macaron, German chocolate macaron, walnut scone. My personal favorites were the quiche, bacon, and chocolate macaron. I would definitely come back in the future, for tea or some cake and pie!

Chocolate Pi is the ultimate sweet escape, especially during Valentine's Week! From their heavenly pineapple upside-down cake to the adorable chocolate heart macaron filled with delicious goodness, every bite was a little slice of dessert heaven. The cozy atmosphere and friendly owner made my visit even sweeter. Anyone else remember when Chocolate Pi was at Epicurean? It's so nice to see the business continuing on in the Seminole Heights community. Whether you're celebrating love or just craving something delicious, Chocolate Pi is the perfect spot to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings! It is on the slightly pricier side ($20 for my slice of cake and macaron), so choose your indulgence wisely. But you'll be so happy you went for a visit.

    Lemon Raspberry Macaron

Kim, the human who makes all the desserts, is highly talented tee and so nice. Great atmosphere, great cake. I tried the guava cake and the lemon raspberry macaron and they were both really good. The cake was moist and fresh, you can tell everything is made with care.

This was our first visit to Chocolate Pi and we are so very happy. Everything is sooooo good. We ordered slices of chocolate cake, Black & White cake, Raspberry cake, Chocolate Peanut Butter tart, Creme Brûlée, Espresso Macaron, Lavender Mocha, and a Salted Rose Espresso drink. The cafe is really cool and decorated with antiques. This is a very charming cafe that I recommend. The Lavender Mocha is with Dark chocolate which I love.

The cake I had here was one of the best cakes I ever had in my life! This is something thay left a mark in me! I went twice! And I recommend to everybody! Can't wait to be back. The ladies were very sweet! I was happy to be there!

Champagne & Strawberry cake for my parent's Golden Anniversary
    Krista H.

We wanted a stunning cake for my parent's Golden Wedding Anniversary and that is exactly what we got. Not only that, it tasted great too...which is a hard to find combo usually when it comes to cakes (at least in my opinion). This was so moist and flavorful. Everyone loved it, again which is rare. The champagne flavor went perfectly with the theme. The owner was friendly and super easy it work with. Could not have asked for a better experience. Will definitely be back & refer to all my friends. Side note: the macarons had amazing flavor & texture and the Mocha lavender coffee is absolutely addicting! You've been warned

I'm mad it took me this long to try this place. It's absolutely adorable on the inside and the service is nice. I was disappointed the espresso machine was down when I went because I long to try one of the fancy looking lattes. I settled for a cold brew like latte which was OK. I'll definitely be back to try the cute lattes though! Other than that, the dessert is FANTASTIC. Their macarons are definitely in my top 3 best macarons in Tampa. Macarons are my weakness and I will be visiting this place quite often now to get them!

    Strawberry shortcake latte
    Rachel M.

Our dessert at Chocolate Pie was a perfect cherry on top for our perfect dinner date night. I love the space and decor of Chocolate Pi. This was my first time since it has been in this location. We had the framboise cake which was so light and the raspberries complimented it well. We also had the strawberry shortcake latte. I felt like that was so extraordinary. Next time I want to try the exotica cake and the Brushed Suede Latte. What a perfect dessert spot!! So love it!!

The decor in Chocolate Pi is sweet with its hand-painted wall designs, old pictures on the wall, and lovely antique pieces. There is plenty of seating including little bistro tables and two benches with comfy pillows lining the walls with tables and chairs. There is a sweet, little teapot displayed that I wish that I could take home. This place would be a really nice place to come after dinner with your significant other, meet up with friends, or even come by yourself to work or read a good book. Now on to why we came here. The desserts and lattes. Well, the chocolate cake is delicious! It is the thickness of a brownie with a yummy buttercream icing. The cake was dense and moist. The icing was light with just the right amount of sweetness. The chocolate latte was "motherf***ing" delicious. That's how my friend described it. I mean, it was good! LOL! I also had the "Tutti Frutti" macaroon (I'm sure that's not the name) and the caramel and sea salt macaron. They were fresh, crispy, light, and yummy. I will definitely be back to Chocolate Pi. I'm glad I checked this place out.

The inside is a decent size with tables, cute decor and lots of plants. When I first walked in, I was taken back by how beautiful the pastry display cases were!! I had the hardest time choosing which pastry to get because they all looked like works of art!! Super friendly staff, great service but now to get to the goods: the coffee and pasties. This is a true authentic French bakery, no doubt in my mind. The iced salted caramel latte is the best I have EVER had. I could taste every flavor and it blended with the coffee perfectly. The ham and cheese croissant was so flakey, the perfect ham ratio and just all around fantastic. The pastry I got had raspberry jam and white chocolate ganache (I don't remember the name of it) and it was seriously the best pastry I've ever had. Most pastries can be too sweet, but this was just right. The jam tasted fresh and homemade (probably is!) and the white chocolate ganache gave it just a touch of sweetness. It is a little pricey so be warned: $48 for two coffees and two pastries. Definitely worth a splurge!!

The person behind the counter was very welcoming and even helped recommend pastries based on our palate preferences, which made the experience feel more personal and thoughtful. What I ordered: two pastries, the strawberry Japanese cheesecake and the goat cheese carrot cake. The strawberry Japanese cheesecake ($15) was a perfect balance of fruity freshness and caramelized richness with a creamy finish. It was not overly sweet and the fruit and cream notes really stood out in every bite. The goat cheese carrot cake ($16) was my favorite. I would go back just for this. It was moist, rich, and had a tangy goat cheese filling that created a very creamy, complex flavor profile. So delicious. The prices are on the steeper side but I love a baker who knows their worth. Totally worth it for the quality.

They have four locations, and we went to the one in the Ybor City Historic District. La Segunda is an institution for Cuban bread and pastries, baking 18K loaves daily and ships nationwide via Goldbelly. Our niece's BF is Cuban, and he said buy anything with guava. In the box (see photo), we bought two each of guava flip (kind of a folded tart or empanada), guava turnover, and guava flip with cream cheese. All of them are delicious! I like the flaky guava turnovers the most even though they didn't survive the transportation across the country in my backpack as well as some of the others. Even though slightly crumbly, still yummy! I also bought butter cookies, sold by the pound. Those are relatively ordinary; I'll skip those in the future. Next time, we are carrying Cuban sandwiches home! I really wish I carried them home. I was having Cuban sandwich withdrawal. This location is older but functional; there isn't seating. Their customers know what they want, and everything moves FAST. If it's your visit (like it was for us), I suggest looking at the menu online to know what to order. The service is friendly, even though I can tell he was a bit exasperated that I didn't just yell out my order and I asked questions. I honestly don't fault him. Busy places have their own pace, and the customers are the ones to keep up. That's perfectly ok.

Paris Baguette has EVERYTHING I love. Cake. Latte. Bread. Pastries. What more can a woman ask for???!!! I was already swooning over the photos and menu options seen on Yelp and Google, but TASTING is BELIEVING and now I'm so glad that I can say it's everything I hoped it would be. It's like a little piece of Paris right here in Tampa! (I've been). So I've come for cake, stayed for latte and quiche, and because why not, threw in the salad so that lunch and dinner is taken care of, too! Okay, first off...what I got. The quiche is light and airy, and is basically a croissant with quiche filling instead of a quiche slice. I love croissants, so this was a nice treat for me that I could hold in my hand. The Salted Caramel Latte I thought was pretty unique, because yes, there's a PRETZEL on top of it (which I plucked off and ate the first thing when I got it. Tasted rich and delicious, and was a great companion for my food. Now, usually I don't bat so much as an eye for a salad, but that Korean beef salad looked fresh and yummy, and it would definitely take care of dinner for the day because, why not, while I'm out? It was a decent size too, not too filling, with a good variety of veggies such as cukes, carrots, tomatoes, on top of mixed greens with Korean beef, which was the only heavy thing on the salad so you don't feel weighed down. It's great to know if you're watching your waist line or caloric intake, Paris Baguette has you covered with no problem as the nutrition facts are listed on the menu so you can make an informed choice. Of course, their cakes are so good, you wouldn't help but want to indulge. Which brings me to my final point. When I saw MOCHA CAKE on the menu, I thought, OMG I have to have it!!! It's EVERYTHING I could want and more and I must ask WHY ISN'T MOCHA CAKE MORE OF A THING NOW???? The sponge cake was light and airy like a coffee cloud as was the buttercream, not too sweet, rounding out my whole meal in nice elegant, finish. The shop itself is cute, but Muffin and I ate outside since the outside area is dog friendly. It reminds me of those open-air cafes in Europe, especially in Paris, elevating my lunch experience with my dog. The staff is super nice and welcoming on approach, too. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's really not THAT bad depending on when I go and the business hours help, too. We ordered a small strawberry and cream cupcake, small raspberry and cream cupcake, cinnamon roll, slice of tiramisu and 4 sugar cookies with guava ($28 for all minus the cafe con Leche as we paid for separately). The tiramasu is really tasty and perfect to share among two of us. The cupcakes were delicious and the icing is pretty amazing...and different than we have had anywhere else. The sugar cookies with guava are a medium size and perfect to go with cafe con Leche. We haven't eaten the cinnamon roll yet but I know it is going to be really tasty.
