We came in on their grand opening back in 2023. The owners were so kind and were personally checking on all of the patrons and their orders. The menu was very clear and easy to read. They specialize in boba tea beverages and have some Vietnamese/Thai food options. I ordered the kumquat tea with crystal boba just the way it's made and it was the perfect amount of sweetness (I don't like overly sweet). I also ordered a special banh mi and was very happy with it. I love that this location is NOT in Pinellas Park where most of the boba tea shops usually are, and they are also available for delivery. The place isn't bad, there is plenty of seating, the menu is cute and a bit confusing but i don't have to go back. I was the only one in the place, and the cashier just looked at me. No greeting, no anything so i just assumed she might be having a rough day. Gotta give people the benefit of the doubt. I looked at the menu and attempted to order a milk tea. Unfortunately they only carry almond milk and whole milk so i wasn't able to get what i wanted. I hope one day they consider carrying other milks because that greatly limits those who are lactose free or nut free. I asked about the specific oolong they had on the menu and the cashier wasn't really able to even tell me anything about it. I ended up with a passionfruit tea and honey boba. OK you know how I am about the bathroom situation and oh boy this one was bad. Look, I wouldn't want to clean stranger-used bathrooms either but when you work on a restaurant it's part of the gig. It just is. And a filthy bathroom tells you a lot about what else isn't being done. But, by the time I discovered this we'd already ordered so we were stuck. The seating is odd and sparse. They no longer have a lot of items that other reviews here have raved about (including several entrees and the boba & ice cream waffle bowls). Our orders came out in carry out containers which had the words "Dine On" written on the bag so that was weird. And the flimsy little plastic forks were annoying. My son loves the boba here so my daughter and I came to try and get some snacks. The boba was average at best and really really sweet. For snacks we got egg rolls and fried dumplings. This is the first time in about a month I haven't been super disappointed in a Thai tea. Moonlight boba is in a small plaza and it's incredibly hard to find parking. I walked in and ordered right away. It was 6.75 for a classic Thai tea with boba. While I was waiting I used the restroom, it could use a good cleaning. By the time I finished and washed my hand my Thai tea was ready. The boba is firm and sweet, they are actually the perfect consistency and sweetness. The Thai tea was much more chocolate forward than others I have had but I really enjoyed it. 10/10 would drink a Thai tea with boba anytime I'm in the area from here. read more

There is an Asian food district in Pinellas Park, & that drew us to the Moonlight Boba shop. Our goal was to get Vietnamese Coffee with Boba beads. Our drinks were spot on perfect & tasty. Despite the outside appearance being plain & almost uninviting, the inside of the shop was super clean & comfortable. Don't let the outside look scare you away, lol. One of the best parts of our time here was a visit by the owner, Sid. She was full of awesome personality & a delight to converse with. We need more Vietnamese snack shops like this in south Florida. The last time I had Banh Mi Bo Ne was in Vietnam and this place just brought back some memories. The bread is outstanding and the flavor of the sauce with the beef and eggs is out of this world. Hubby got the grilled pork Banh mi and said it's one of the best ones he's had in a while. I did come specifically for the Banh Trang tron but turned out to be the least favorite thing we ate. Rice paper was plenty but was lacking in everything else. The texture of the whole dish was just chewy and lacking the dimension that makes this snack so amazing. Why 5 stars? Because I want Moonlight Boba in my life often. --- --- --- I recently sent my wife the Moonlight Boba Yelp listing because her office is not too terribly far away and she loves boba. The reviews are pretty amazing, but I'm not in Pinellas Park very often, so I figured she'd be able to enjoy it before I would. Fortunately, we actually happened to be in the area, so we stopped by and I'm completely in love after one visit. At first, my wife just had me run inside and order a taro boba for her. I planned on grabbing a couple drinks to go and heading home, but I saw the waffle ice cream concoctions on the menu and thought that it would be much better to eat-in. Every waffle looked amazing, but the "Rainbow In My Hand" with cotton candy ice cream, gummies and mochi's really caught my eye. The saying "explosion of flavor" is cliche, but I don't know any other more accurate way to describe this. You got creamy, sour, sweet, mushy, hard and dense in every bite. It's quite a lot for your taste buds to process, but I liked it. With that being said, I'd opt for something like the Cookielicious or the Snow White next time, just for a bit more continuity. Also, my coconut boba smoothie and her taro milk tea were both top notch. But then as we were leaving, my wife pointed out a sign off to the side that showed ice cream boba's. And I have to tell you, outside of a sign that said, "Brett, you've won a new car," I don't know if I could have been happier to see that particular set of information. I'd recently been introduced to ice cream boba's in San Francisco and fell head over heels in love. I was told that they only recently made their way to the United States and were super hard to find. I knew that probably meant I wouldn't find them in Tampa Bay until about 2024, when they'd be old news in SF. So to find them about 3 weeks later in Pinellas Park, I was ecstatic. I'd already had a small dessert before arriving at Moonlight Boba + ordered a boba smoothie and an ice cream waffle here. I wanted to fully enjoy this ice cream boba, so we hopped in the car, drove about 40 minutes home to Tampa, froze them and ate them the next day. They were still just as unbelievable as I remembered, despite nearly melting away in the car the day before. Do yourself the greatest favor and go to Moonlight Boba for many things, but especially for the ice cream boba's before they sell out! As I said, we aren't in Pinellas Park often, but if timing/circumstances work out, I know exactly where I'm coming for my sweet fix. read more

This is now a weekly stop for me. Hooks me constantly into coming back just to try a new Boba drink each time. The Pho is SO good, huuuuuge bowl that comes with a side dish of veggies that's practically it's own garden. The Pan Thai is the best I've had since moving to Florida a few years ago. I wanted to love this place because the reviews are so amazing and now on two separate occasions when I happened to be in Tampa, they were randomly closed - both times! The internet said nothing about it and I had to find out by driving all the way out here and believe me it was significantly out of my way - to find out that they had a little paper sign on the door saying that they were closed. What are the odds? I mean, the first time it was within an hour of closing time according to google, the door, and Yelp, so I assume they just closed earlier... but the second time it was the middle of the day and that's when the note was. Maybe it's a common occurrence. Definitely bothered me, and as I was checking up on the other stellar reviews afterwards, I realized that half of them were written by the same person giving me five stars to the business. Shadyyyy. I've come here a few times and although this store seems tucked away, I never seem to be too displeased, not that I don't have negative notes. You want quality boba tea drinks? This place has them. But for those of you thirsty boys and girls out there, you're limited to one size for about $5. This wouldn't be an issue if I didn't have a problem with the contents. For example, a coffee boba drink is going to have boba on the bottom, the coffee and condensed milk... and then about a cup and a half of ice... and then there's about an inch of air between the seal and the liquid of my drink. Tasty drink? Yes. Good band for your buck? Eh... Not all drinks were like that. I had some of the fruit ones where they filled me up to the top. The food? Just moved from Los Angeles and this was our first boba experience. It wasn't terrible but we will definitely keep searching for better. No sweetness level options in 2022? The only ice option is ice or no ice and no ice costs extra. I guess when there's less competition you don't have to try as hard. Glad to find a boba place nearby. Decent. I was able to customize the sweetness and ask for no ice. Usually the drink would still be cold or chilled but my drink was warm...not as refreshing on a hot day. We also ordered spring rolls but they stopped serving them even though there is a large picture of it on their walls. My sister (who lives here) enjoys coming here because of the dairy free option. The popcorn chicken just tasted like regular chicken nuggets. There was no seasoning on them like other boba places that serve snacks. I love that this spot has Winter melon flavored Boba drinks, few Boba spots have it around here. The service here is super friendly. Food comes out unbelievably fast and super hot and fresh. Good boba and great Vietnamese food. I wanted banh mi but didn't want to drive up to Waters. Going across the Gandy to Pinellas Park is easier, so we checked out Moonlight Boba. It's not a huge place, and the parking is rather limited, but we were able to find a space easily. I had the classic house milk tea, 25% sweet. I found it a little too sweet at that (probably the honey boba's fault), but it was delicious -- creamy and delicate. My husband had the strawberry slushie, which he liked. For food, I had the special combination banh mi. It was pretty good. I would have preferred less mayo and more pate, but that is my particular preference. It was a decent size, too, with bread that was reasonably fresh. The veggies were fresh with good snap to them. My husband had the lemongrass pork rice. He liked it a lot and cleared his plate.
