Bahmi sandwiches are fresh as they come! Stopped by when they opened and will come back again. Small restaurant but service was fast and great.

    Our Vietnamese iced coffee

Our favorite Vietnamese Coffee shop was closed today for renovations. So we tried Thuy Cafe & overall it was a good experience. The cafe is super authentic and cozy inside. The workers were very friendly & helpful. We ordered coffees & they were reasonably priced. They could have used a bit more sweetened condensed milk, which we've learned is the signature of Vietnamese coffee. But the friendliness of the workers made up for the lack of full flavor. The food looked good so we shall return & give that a try.

Thuy Cafe has been my favorite restaurant for lunch pickup for many years. The food (Vietnamese) is always flavorful and prices are extremely reasonable - a ban mi & regular boba usually cost me $11-12. I really like the ban mi sandwiches and have at least three that are my favorite, served on a crusty French baguette. I also like to treat myself to a boba drink. Taro & coconut are my favorites - they have at least 50 flavors. The staff are always really friendly and your order is ready quickly for me to pick up. Will be back next time I need lunch!

I dropped by Thuy Cafe after work around 530pm. It was peaceful and quiet inside. Two customers entered in the time I was there, and the two ladies working were amiable. I tried ordering a Raspberry Tea and a Pineapple Green Tea, but they were out of stock-- disappointing, but not the end of the world. I haven't been here more than once, so I can't say if this is a regular occurrence or not. I ended up with a Hazelnut Milk Tea with Tapioca Boba and a Lychee Green Tea with Lychee Jelly. I have a proclivity for enjoying sweet flavors, but wow the Hazelnut was VERY sweet, even for me. It actually reminded me of a melted ice cream or something. Just be wary of this flavor if that is not your taste. The Tapioca, however, was fresh with the perfect consistency and taste in my opinion. The Lychee Tea was very refreshing and tasty. It was more of a normal sweetness. The jelly add-ins were good too. I preferred this drink to the other. I saw some really delicious looking options on the menu in terms of noodles/rolls, so I will have to be back to try food options and different drinks.

We live in Tallahassee but visit St Pete often. And every time we do we stop at the Thuy Cafe to pick up lunch to eat on our ride back home. We are in a rut, but it's a good rut: we always get the Vietnamese Specialty Banh Mi. It's a traditional Banh mi made with pork sausage (cha lua), pâté, a combo of pickled daikon and carrot, cilantro, cucumber and jalapeño. And it's served on an absolutely perfect French baguette. It makes for a wonderful sandwich to eat while driving. If you want to eat it later, ask them to put the veggies in the side; they'll put them in a plastic bag so the bread won't get soggy and you can put them on the sandwich when you are ready to eat. I also always get a Vietnamese iced coffee (caphe sua da). I know they have an extensive list of boba drinks, but the humble Vietnamese coffee (which does not include tapioca pearls), is the perfect accompaniment to the Banh Mi. This time we also tried an appetizer that looked amazing: soft dough rounds are topped with combo of pork and dried shrimp, sprinkled with egg yolk powder, with a small container of nuoc cham, the quintessential Vietnamese condiment that's sweet and salty. It was a little tough trying to eat them in the car (grabbed a bite at the frequent red lights on 34th street), but so well worth it. Can't wait to go back again!

    Bún nước lèo chay

I oder bún nước lèo chay, the tofu is frozen and taste a little sour like about to expire, terrible, they're so close to a dong market wonder why don't they use fresh tofu. and the soup tasteless no favor at all. I wouldnt recommend it

Delicious boba from here! I always drive past here but finally stopped in. Got a rose slush boba and it was so so so delicious. One of the better boba places in the area. Was made quickly and wasn't too pricy. Highly recommend. Will have to come back for food too!

I have been coming here since around 2001 ish and this place used to be SUPER good. Like I would rave about it to everyone. They legit at the time only had bahn mi's and a select few boba options and throughout the years they expanded their boba list and their bahn mi's were the best in town! It was perfectly made, perfect amount of ingredients, jalapeños were really spicy and delicious. But I am not quite sure when it changed - it's been quite a few years - idk if they got new owners or management or something but the sandwiches are still good but they're different sized than what they used to be and the jalapeños are rarely ever spicy and the boba quality has gone down. They used to be my favorite and original boba spot back when you could only get boba here or at seasons. Also they have added a few other things to their menus besides bahn mi and boba such as fried rice and vermicelli but I've not tried anything else besides the bahn mi's. I still go back when I have the urge for bahn mi but I really do miss the old one.

Banh mi chay, bum bo chay, taro boba

5 stars!! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I'm Vietnamese and this food doesn't get better. Amazing vegetarian option. The tofu banh mi is the BEST I've ever had. Bread is crispy and light. Soups and noodle bowls are also delicious. Thuy and her team there are always welcoming. One of my favorite places to eat of all time. I always stop when I'm in ST Pete

Grilled Pork & BBQ Short Rib plates

Had the BBQ Beef short rib plate and also Grilled Pork plate, both served with rice and a very small serving of kim chee. Everything has a touch too much sugar for me however fresh, fresh and great quality food served here. Super nice service!

    Pickled kumquat juice!

Love that their noodles were still warm (most places are cold and kinda stuck together). They also added shredded cabbage and some other veg (rather than just soy beans, carrots and cukes). Food is fresh and delish! Banh Mi Sandwiches, Spring Rolls & bowls.

    Grilled shrimp banh mi

I'm ashamed. I'm ashamed of myself for coming to this gem of a family owned Vietnamese restaurant for 3 years and never writing a review. I'm ashamed that I have enjoyed more than a hundred of their grilled shrimp banh mi and have never shared just how amazingly delicious it truly is. This is such a wonderful restaurant tucked away in Pinellas Park. There are plenty of places to sit and eat or you can take the food to go! I always get the grilled shrimp banh mi sandwich and it's perfect. Literally, impeccable. They toast the bread so perfectly so that the outside is crunchy and the inside is soft and warm. The carrots, jalapeño, cilantro and everything else is nothing short of being incredibly fresh. Everything about this sandwich tastes like it was just plucked from a garden, washed and placed inside. They have delicious fresh juices that my friends and family who've I've brought here in the past really enjoyed it. Their boba tea is on point, and this is coming from someone who doesn't really care much for boba tea. Last, and certainly not least, is the service. This family owned place always greets everyone with a smile and are incredibly helpful with giving different suggestions for those indecisive customers Overall, this place is one of my go to spots and if you haven't already looked up directions on Google Maps, then you're missing out....

They specialize in boba tea beverages and have some Vietnamese/Thai food options. I ordered the kumquat tea with crystal boba just the way it's made and it was the perfect amount of sweetness (I don't like overly sweet). I also ordered a special banh mi and was very happy with it. I love that this location is NOT in Pinellas Park where most of the boba tea shops usually are, and they are also available for delivery. I've ordered the same items through DoorDash recently and can confirm that the quality and flavors remain consistent which I appreciate so much.

No greeting, no anything so i just assumed she might be having a rough day. Gotta give people the benefit of the doubt. I looked at the menu and attempted to order a milk tea. Unfortunately they only carry almond milk and whole milk so i wasn't able to get what i wanted. I hope one day they consider carrying other milks because that greatly limits those who are lactose free or nut free. I asked about the specific oolong they had on the menu and the cashier wasn't really able to even tell me anything about it. I ended up with a passionfruit tea and honey boba. The tea wasn't bad, i will give them that. My total was over 7 dollars for 1 drink and a meh experience, not really a place i plan to visit again.

The plaza it's in is a bit small, but it's on a non busy local street. I came by around 8:45 to pick up mochi donuts. I definitely should have came earlier because I did want to get a drink but it was so close to closing that I didn't want to bother the workers more. As I walked in the employees were already cleaned up and ready for close. Everything was clean and most items were already put away, but they had my order of mochinuts already ready which was awesome. I got 2 matcha, 2 churro, 1 glazed and one strawberry glazed. I was pleasantly surprised on the texture on all of them. Usually when it comes to closing the mochi nuts are a little stale. I was also nervous they'd be oily but they were great! Perfect texture. Chewy and not too sweet. Every mochi donut has the plain batter used to fry then has its own flavored glaze. Strawberry and plain glazed were my favorite. It gave the perfect amount of sweet that I needed. Churro could have had a bit more sugar on it for me and the matcha tasted exactly as it should. If you like your matcha flavor on the stronger side, this is the donut for you. Overall it was a good experience. I'll be sure to come back to try the cheese corn dogs and the boba.
