Cute shaved snow spot with tons to choose from. 20 snow flavors and over 25 toppings on their menu! There are also menu recommendations if you're like me and didn't know what to get. Friendly staff to help you choose by asking what you like. I got the strawberry shortcake and added on the cheesecake bites at the suggestion of the person who took my order. The regular size is the perfect size for one person. It had lots of sliced strawberries but couldn't find the cheesecake bites! Texture was still great due to the graham cracker crumbles. They also serve specialty drinks def worth coming back to try next time.
They were lovely people and good concept but I won't be back. The ingredients were not high quality, the whipped cream left a feel in your mouth, the ice cream in the center was gooey and didn't melt, much like the ice cream in a drumstick ice cream cone. The best part of our order, was the side of the pineapple on the pina colada item.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by 2 friendly employees. They gave my toddler a sticker of choice, and coloring sheet to entertain him while I ordered and we waited. I thought this was a nice touch. We ordered the Sweet tooth, Snow Thaiger and Mexican Candy. All were delicious and were shared among myself, my husband and toddler. We each had a different favorite. My favorite was Mexican Candy. It was lighter and refreshing tasting since it was fruit based unlike the others. My husband's favorite was Snow Thaiger. He enjoyed the condensed milk in it and the flavor combo which included crushed Oreos. My toddler's favorite was the sweet tooth. He liked the whipped cream and marshmallows in it. I think this is a fun and tasty family outing for all ages.
Came in after dinner at the Dirty Byrd. They have plenty of options but we left the kids choose this time around which they decided on the sweet tooth and we got the snow thaiger. But we're really good but we also tried the strawberry and wow that is definitely our new favorite it's so light and has the perfect strawberry flavor.

We got the special not in the menu as Season Tropical plate. This is a mango shaved snow ice with five different fruit and toppings. Although is got. I prefer the building your own three toppings. Overall flavor is good. Fruit is a bit Sapir for dessert.
The sign had been up for what seemed like forever. It's only been open for a couple of months. I didn't get a chance to try it until a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I should just start by saying that all my Yelp friends were absolutely right about Vampire Penguin. They said I would love it, and I do. I originally thought it would be like Hawaiian shave ice. It's not anything like it. The only similarity is that it's light, and it melts in your mouth. Their shave snow does not come from a block of ice water. These are frozen dessert bases made with vanilla, tea, coffee, peanut butter, taro, or natural fruit flavors. The base is shaved into super thin ribbons, and then formed on your plate. The toppings and sauces are added to make it your own, or you can choose one of their signature concoctions. They have 2 sizes. I chose the regular size for both visits. It was more than enough. If you're having trouble deciding on a flavor, then you can go with a flight of 3 different flavors. They also have specialty drinks called potions. I initially ordered the Snow Thaiger. It really does taste like Thai tea, but not as sweet. It's so light and airy, and melts in your mouth. The Oreo cookie crumble went very well with it. I looked at the menu again and noticed that the Halo Halo and Dulce de Leche desserts come with flan. There was no way I could write a review without trying the flan. Well, today's visit was even better. I went with the Dulce de Leche. I love the vanilla snow! Some would say it's basic, but I love vanilla. It actually has bits of vanilla bean in it. The sliced banana was fresh and beautifully presented. I was keeping my expectations low on the flan. I didn't want to be disappointed. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that it was a deliciously smooth & creamy flan de vainilla. I later found out that their flan and cheesecake are sourced locally. How awesome is that? It's great knowing that they truly care about the quality of their ingredients. The staff is patient and helpful. There's plenty of seating. The interior is cool and relaxing. The treats are refreshing and light for Florida weather. What more can I say?

An absolute delight and pleasure! Every experience is an exciting one. The treats are always 10 outta 10. The ambience is chill and inviting. Depending on the mood of who serves you, you get what you get nothing to write praises about. Service is average but don't allow that to stop or affect your experience.
Fun little place tucked away over Brandon. Next a couple of nice little restaurants that we go to. Vampire penguin is really good little twist on dessert. In the area John Moore and Bloomingdale I'm stopping and give it a try. I'll give it a 8.1 will be back to try some more.
Great service. They were very patient while we figured out what we wanted. They brought out our order to our table and even gave us some stickers! The shaved ice is so soft and fluffy. It's not icey. I won't get "snow cones" at other places because it's not good. Here, I was considering ordering a second one. I got strawberry shortcake without the flavored drizzle. The condensed milk is all I wanted. It was delicious, so soft, and perfect. I can't wait to go back. There are several tables and high tops to sit and enjoy your cold treat on these very hot Florida days. This is located in the same plaza of Urban Air.

Charging stations are available along the bench side of the seating for anyone who wants to work away from the home office (with usbC and usb options). Ordering was easy with build your own options as well. The shaved ice texture is perfect! Smooth and creamy like Korean bingsoo... not icy like the competitors. I'd come back!
Very unique dessert place! I was pleasantly surprised - instead of a shaved ice consistency, the ice is so fine and powdery, like eating a cloud. The flavors seem pretty high-quality. I like all the flavor options! I will have to come back to try even more
Yum! This is my second time here. This time i decided to try the strawberry shortcake - added cheesecake slice. The shaved snow melts right in your mouth, the crumbles were tasty and a perfect texture. I would say the cheesecake slice was not good.. it was dry, and grainy. Everything else was on point! Shaved ice from here is so fluffy, the flavor carries really well and it's a great bite for anyone looking to cure a sweet tooth. I will add that it can be REALLY sweet depending on the flavor you get, but it can also be subtle. I really like this place. Only pulled a star away because the cheesecake add-on to my Shaved Ice was a bit stale. Just in a way as if it might have been in the fridge too long and lost its freshness. Otherwise, definitely a place I'll be back to. read more
We had a great time with our first experience there and it won't be our last and the shaved snow dessert is fantastic and we got the Andy's mint flavor and my daughter and granddaughter loved it!! Came here for dessert and to try out a new concept. Thought it was shaved ice, but this is totally a new concept way of doing things! OMG! SO GOOD! Pictures do not do the depth of flavor justice! The different flavors go so well with the snow, and it's mixed in with the snow not just drizzled on top! I may have found my new fave dessert spot in all of Tampa! They just opened back in May, so come here before the line is out the door every night!! read more

We visited for the first time today and the kids absolutely loved their "sweet tooth" shaved ice. I'd had never personally had Vampire Penguin, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a very creamy, not too sweet shaved ice. It almost tastes like shaved ice cream. The interior was extremely clean, and I loved that they had coloring pages from Kids posted up on the wall. The woman who helped us was very attentive, offered suggestions, and brought the kids stickers while they ate their shaved ice. overall, we would love to visit this location again as a sweet treat for summer! read more

Yummy place. Very happy to have this location closer to where we live. Is still a drive for us but definitely much closer than the Seminole location. I think they are fairly new since when we went there was only one person at the register and he was the same one making the snow cones, and it took quite a while to have all of our 6 orders come out. I'm not sure if this is the norm( I'm comparing it with the only other location I went before) where they had 2 people one at the register and one making the desserts and they both helped each other. Will definitely go back whenever I'm in the area. read more

I'm a not usually the yelp reviewer type but had to come here to give all the stats to Vampire Penguin! We are big sno cone lovers and we're a little hesitant to try this new concept out. But man I am sure glad we did! We tried 3 different specials and they were AMAZING! All 3 of my boys absolutely loved them too! A great family treat! read more

OMG!!! Delicious is an understatement! It's like a snow cone but kicked up to a much higher level, like maybe eating flavored snowflakes. First we tried the Dulce De Lèche which was amazing! Then we went back for the Peanut Butter Cup flavored dessert. We can't wait to go back and try more flavored creations. The staff is warm and friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. You gotta try this place. It's new and different and so lite! read more
Found this place through a local instagram page and thought it was such a cool concept. I didn't necessarily love the shaved ice but it definitely was cool to try and prepared wonderfully. The staff was super nice and the shop was super cute. I plan on going back to try their drinks!! read more

Location seemed nice and clean till I saw dish washer washing and air drying styrofoam cups! Made me sick! High risk for allergy cross contamination! Styrofoam is signal use for a reason! I will never be back ! not to mention the customer service was so slow it like kinda slow like I had 2 orders ahead of me and it took almost 45 minutes to get my order for shaved snow ice. read more
