A go to spot when craving ice cream! Love their sundaes and kids love the little perks like free cones on Wednesdays and pup treats. Never had a bad experience and staff has always been very friendly and efficient. On warm days you can sit on their porch and watch the cars drive on by. read more

I usually enjoy coming to this ice cream spot especially on Wednesday because they have $1 cone or cup which is such a great deal. The employees are always friendly and they have a nice place to sit outdoor and eat. The ice cream is super soft but other than that a great place read more

Decent, but I think I prefer Twistee Treat over this. The outside was pretty run down they could have cleaned up the patio to make it presentable and a nice place to sit. Trash was over flowing. The attendant taking our orders kept wiping his nose with his hand. Not a great look. Not sure I'd be back, but it's a nice quick stop! Ice cream was good. read more

So.... I hate to give one star reviews but unfortunately sometimes businesses just warrant them. We are in the area visiting and thought we would check it out. We drive up to the window. The girl slides the window open and just stares at us. Not a hello, no greeting, not a what can I get for you.... We tell her what we would like. 5 sundaes of various sizes to bring back to the house. She slides open the window and tries handing them to us. We asked for covers. She said I don't know if we have them. Trays? Same answer. Two people, one a driver trying to manage 5 sundaes with no tray and no lid. No apologies, no thank you....just shut the window and walked away. The ice cream is just machine made soft serve with average toppings. Wouldn't recommend. Wouldn't go back. read more

Pretty good ice cream, been there like two times and it doesn't disappoint. I would recommend.

Rich & creamy soft serve... we got the Root Beer Float (included the remainder of the soda can), Twist cone, peanut Butter topper cup, and cake batter in a waffle bowl. Everyone was happy with their choices. Service was friendly and accurate. Charming lighted deck under a big beautiful tree. Recommend! read more

Loved it! I visited on a Sunday and the service through the drive-thru was fantastic. I'd never been there before, but I knew I wanted a milk shake. The first sign I saw was a picture of the cherry chocolate shake. It was a flavor that they have for a limited time only. I was sold, because I love chocolate covered cherries. Well, it was a great decision. It was exactly what I've wanted in a cherry shake that I haven't been able to get from other places that have cherry as a flavor. There were bits of maraschino cherry in it. It was as if they used cherry ice cream. It didn't taste like artificial cherry flavoring. This particular one had chocolate shavings and it was topped with a cherry cordial candy surprise. I was thrilled! I haven't had their custard ice cream yet. It appears that they use vanilla bean custard as a base in all of their creations. If that's true, then I know I'll like it by itself. I did notice that they have a large variety of toppings and sauces. I also saw that they have pineapple Dole whip which is dairy-free. It looked delicious in the picture that I saw. I almost got that, but the cherry chocolate shake was calling my name. I'll be stopping here more often when I get a craving for sweets. The drive-thru is very convenient. They also have a no-sugar-added custard that I'd like to try one day. read more

Absolutely a rip off! Never again. My wife and I went and made a simple order to regular cups. So for seven buck we got what was the size of a dixi cup you used to get in elementary school. read more

Once you drive up you can smell the delicious flavors. Our family has enjoyed Toppers since we moved to the area. It is always a nice treat for the kids after a game to come and get an ice cream of their choice. Our grandchildren now come. read more

3.5 stars if I could rate it that way. This is a small drive through soft serve ice cream place. I ordered a large chocolate milkshake and what I received was of excellent consistency and taste. The drive through entrance is not well marked, and a bit too narrow. The prices were reasonable for the Brandon area and the service was, typical drive through window service. More polite and friendly than many. Luckily I stopped to get the milkshake to go along with the KFC I picked up (but that's another review). I ended up finishing the milkshake on my drive home. read more

Walked up to the window and the place looked abandoned, no life at all. No buzzer to buzz so I knocked on the window several times. Had enough so I walked away. I noticed a restroom on the side of the building so I decided to make use of it. While inside I could hear people talking, so when I exited the room I went back to the window. This time a young lady opened the window and I requested a soft swerve chocolate vanilla mixed in a cup. The young lady replied that their soft swerve machine was broke down. I replied 'who do you think you are.... McDonalds!' She didn't get the jest of the comment and told me she could put a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of vanilla in a cup for me. I said no thanks, it's not the same, I'll try the NEW place up the street and so that's what I did! read more

In 2019, there is no shortage of desert shops tempting you with a variable cornucopia of delectable sugary treats. Doughnuts, cupcakes, cookies (all either mini, regular, or giant sized) ice cream, shakes, cronuts, brownies, churros, cakes, etc. (yes, I could go on and on), and with these never ending choices comes the inevitable high price point. Long story short, decadence awaits if you don't mind shelling out a pretty penny for most of these over the top dessert joints. With that in mind Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce you to Toppers Creamery! If you live in the Brandon/Valrico/Bloomingdale area, there's no doubting that you've either visited Toppers, or at the very least heard of it. They've been around since 2006, and there's a good reason why (they actually have about 10 different locations scattered all around Florida). Delicious ice cream treats at affordable prices. It's the perfect place to take the kids after school or the park, or even to take your date after a nice dinner. If you're looking for exotic ice cream made by hand in front of you with 1,000 plus toppings, then this isn't your place. If you like good old fashioned soft serve (either chocolate, vanilla, swirl, or strawberry) on a cone or in a cup, and brings you back to your childhood, then stop by Toppers, I promise you'll love it. P.S. Wednesday special is $1 for either a small cone or cup, killer deal! read more

Best ice cream in the area. I live about 10 minutes from here, so it's a great place for me to go on a lazy Saturday afternoon. The "building" is shaped like a giant ice cream cone, and seating is limited, but it's rarely crowded, and the addition of a drive through means they have a steady flow of traffic without compromising seating. For under $4, I got myself a cup of really good vanilla ice cream with a topping and a syrup, so it's reasonable, and definitely tasty. Assortments of ice creams, sundaes, milkshakes, and such, each absolutely delicious, means you won't be disappointed. Great little place that leaves you satisfied each time you visit. PS... Try the Pineapple Dole Whip! It's hard to find outside of Disney, but it's AMAZING. read more

I have to give this delicious spot 4 stars! Why not? I don't see how you can go wrong with ice cream. And they, my yelpers, have not gone wrong. This spot is down the street from my current job. So to much of my surprise when I see this little building shaped like an ice cream cone, it immediately caught my attention. I usually get my afternoon treats at steak n shake for their half price shakes. But when I've had a "not so good day so now I need a pick me up" treat, I come here. The price is definitely right for each item. They have a variety of toppings and sauces. Which usually means I'm staring at the menu for a long period of time trying to make up my mind. (Sorry it was me holding up the line). The ice cream is smooth and creamy. Rich with flavor! Soft serve and oh so yummy. There is only patio sitting and a drive thru that blesses my life! The service is amazing. They are so polite and always helpful when I'm just stuck. I love this place. Definitely a spot for a quick date or to bring your kids. read more

Has turned into my all time favorite creamery. used to be a huge cold stone fan but this by far blows them out of the water. their service and ice cream are delicious. i always order a brownie sunday with no whip cream. TIP: it's enough ice cream to be a few servings. my sunday always comes in a biodegradable container. at least i believe. read more

Just had the absolute rudest service here from a girl working at the drive through window. She spoke to me like I was an absolute idiot when I asked for pistachio flavoring in soft serve. I have gone to this location many times, and even if they didn't offer pistachio as a featured flavor, they have been able to mix soft serve with the flavor. She said she couldn't do that and was so rude about it and made me feel so uncomfortable. She was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to and gave me an incredibly liquid "milkshake" with absolutely no flavoring. I threw it out as I left the parking lot. Really sad because I love this location and come all the time but won't be back due to this employee. The owner should do themselves a favor and let this employee go as other reviews seem to indicate this same girl has been rude to other customers well. read more

Management reached out in an attempt to rectify the situation. We went back a few times and so far the experience was good.

Since moving to Florida 6 1/2 years ago one thing I have truly missed was excellent rich and creamy soft serve ice cream! I recently moved to Valrico and saw Toppers and decided we needed to try it! First of all... the portions are enormous for the price and an excellent bang for your buck! Secondly.... The soft serve vanilla was so fantastic I can go so far as to say it's the best I have ever had!!! And coming from NY with the selection of places to choose from that's saying a lot! The ice cream was thick, creamy, rich and so filling! It was amazing! Will definitely be a regular here with the family! read more

Just visited our local toppers ice cream spot and was informed that their customer loyalty program was changed to a stamp card for rewards. The card states it's based on items purchased, buy 9 get the 10th free. Having bought 4 items the employee states one stamp is applicable due to his manager, Amber S's directive. One stamp per visit. I am happy to re-Patronize a local business to help out but to promote a discount based on quantity then change it, arbitrarily to a one per visit is absurd. Amber S and her operators should be ashamed. Customer service and customer care is dead. read more

We were always a huge fan of Topper's and their ice cream is delicious but this year they've really dropped the ball. We've been 3x now and none of us will be back. I personally order a small custard in a cup and now it amounts to a 1/4c of ice cream. So there's been a slight increase in prices (normal and understandable) but the sizes have diminished by 1/2! Not a good business model to go by. read more

I love love love this place! Excellent service. Always fast and they are always patient when you ask to try new flavors. I always give myself a little treat and this is my go to. I love the pistachio ice cream and the dole pineapple. They're always changing the flavor of the week and I always give them a try every time I stop in. Definitely a great neighborhood staple. Can't wait for my toddler to get a little older for ice cream dates. I also want to add that it's hard to find good pistachio ice cream. This place is the best! read more

If soft serve is what you're craving - Topper's is serving it up. I appreciate all the Yelp-love this local place is getting, but I don't totally get it. With limited soft serve flavors, the variety really does come in the toppers/mix-ins. It's good and some of their creations seem really tempting, but it's not knock my socks off good. I do have to say it's a great value for the money. The small at Toppers is like a medium or large at other places. And the toppers are definitely spread throughout and not just on top like I've had at some other places around Tampa. The kids I was with really like it so I'm sure when I'm back in town, there's a good chance we'll end up here again. So I'm definitely willing to give it another try and see if they might just win me over. read more

This is a pleasant addition to the local area. The ice cream is rich in flavor and smooth in texture. Their shakes are tasty and thick and more importantly the service is accurate and prompt. Also they have many flavors and combination to choose from and the price will not dent your wallet much either. There is no go and sit inside with this place, you walk up order and eat outside, go through the drive-thru in your car, or if you must insist on sitting inside and eating you could sit in your car or take it home. read more

Best soft serve vanilla I have ever had! We enjoy this place for a nice outside desert when the weather is nice.

I can't believe I've never been here before! I guess it's a little hard to see from the road. If you're driving east on Bloomingdale and you cross Lithia-Pinecrest, you've gone too far. My medium vanilla cone was sooo creamy, rich and delicious, and my son really enjoyed his peanut butter shake. We sat in the car to eat and watch the customers come and go, including an Italian greyhound. He must have been ordering a pup cup (vanilla soft serve with a dog bone cookie). There are also a couple of benches outside, if you have little ones and don't want hot fudge all over your upholstery. We definitely recommend Topper's, and will be back soon. If you love soft-serve genuine ice cream, you must give this a try. read more

Average ice cream place. I had the banana milk shake. Not well made. Seem very plain. Look like they might have add too much milk.

I had a mocha shake . It was just bland not much floor at all. It seemed more like custard then soft serve ice cream . They were out of 2 flavors that I originally ordered. The kids ordered dirt and worm sundaes and liked them. read more
